What if the very thing you think will burn you out… is actually the thing that saves your career?Burnout is everywhere in our field. And here's the hard truth: burnout is the single greatest threat to you staying in this profession — the very profession you spent years of your life and tens of thousands of dollars in grad school to join. That's why today's episode is such an important one. We're talking about how private clients aren't the cause of burnout — they're actually the path out of it.So many SLPs and OTs believe that adding private clients would just stretch them thinner. But here's the truth: it's not the therapy that's exhausting you — it's the system. Overloaded caseloads, endless paperwork, lack of flexibility, and feeling undervalued are what's draining you.Instead of running on empty, you finally get to create a career that fuels you, both personally and professionally.Inside the Start Your Private Practice Program, I've seen this transformation over and over again. So many students came in ready to leave the field altogether, but private practice reignited their passion. They're working fewer hours, earning more, serving clients they love and most importantly, loving their careers again. In Today's Episode, We Discuss:Why burnout is the #1 threat to your careerThe real cause of burnoutHow private practice restores control, balance, and fulfillmentBest time to take your first step into private practiceHere's what I want you to remember: you didn't come this far, invest this much, and work this hard just to burn out and walk away. Private practice can be your way back to freedom, fulfillment, and loving your career again.Want to take back control of your career and finally escape burnout? The Start Your Private Practice Program is where I'll help you set up your first private clients so you can work less, earn more, and love being a clinician again. Is work becoming too much? Between the chaos of AI-generated content, the pressure of constant digital demands, and outdated workplace models, something's got to give. In this episode of Sticky From The Inside, Andy Goram speaks with Brent Kedzierski, workplace futurist and former Head of Global Learning Strategy at Shell, to explore how we can build more human-centred organisations in the age of AI. Brent introduces powerful concepts like work density and work intensity, exposing why today's work environments leave so many people overwhelmed—and how we can fix that. He challenges legacy industrial thinking, highlights the generational misalignments at play, and makes the case for designing work that supports cognitive clarity, emotional fulfilment, and real human value. If you're a leader grappling with AI overload, generational tensions, or rising burnout, this conversation offers both a wake-up call and a hopeful way forward. ----more---- Key Takeaways Too Much Work, Not Enough Meaning - AI and outdated systems are overwhelming employees and draining purpose from work. Episode Summary We're constantly bombarded with notifications, emails, social media updates, and a steady stream of mental noise. It feels productive, but in reality, it's draining our focus, creativity, and mental energy. Just like our bodies benefit from intermittent fasting, our minds need regular breaks from constant input. Yet, many of us struggle with even a few moments of true silence. In this episode, we explore the power of mental fasting—why stepping away from constant stimulation can help you gain clarity, reduce stress, and unlock your best ideas. Plus, I share my own struggle with slipping back into the trap of overstimulation and what I'm doing to reset. What I Discuss in This Episode · Why too much mental input creates foggy thinking and anxiety · How regular “mental fasting” leads to clearer, more creative thinking · Simple ways to build mental fasting into your daily routine · Why a quiet mind isn't an empty mind; it's a free-thinking mind Key Takeaways 1. Your Brain is Overloaded with Mental Sugar Every notification, news alert, and email gives you a dopamine hit... but at a cost. Too much input leads to stress, anxiety, and mental exhaustion. Like junk food, overconsumption of information makes you sluggish and unfocused. 2. Mental Fasting Creates Clarity and Creativity The best ideas don't come when you're constantly consuming Quiet time helps reduce stress, sharpen decision-making, and improve focus. Even a few minutes of mental fasting can make a noticeable difference. 3. Start Small: 15 Minutes of Daily Silence Commit to just 15 minutes of quiet each morning. No phone, no music, no distractions. Over time, expand this to longer breaks, like half a day without your phone on weekends. Experiment with deeper mental fasts, such as a full day without screens. Actionable Exercises · 15-Minute Morning Mental Fast: Start your day with 15 minutes of complete silence. No inputs. Just sit and let your thoughts settle. · Weekend Phone Detox: Put your phone in a drawer for a half-day on Saturday or Sunday. · Full Digital Sabbath: Try going screen-free from sunrise to sunset once a week and notice how it affects your focus and creativity (yikes!). Listener Challenge This week, commit to one small mental fast—even just 15 minutes of silence in the morning. See how it impacts your clarity, stress levels, and creativity.

Feeling mentally overloaded by everything going on in the world right now? You're not alone — and you're not broken. In this episode, I'm talking about how to deal with mental overload and why it's become such a massive issue in modern life. With constant bad news, social media, never-ending responsibilities, and the pressure to keep functioning like everything's fine, it's no wonder so many of us feel foggy, snappy, anxious, or flat. I'll explain what mental overload really is, how it's different from stress and burnout, and — most importantly — what you can do to protect your peace of mind. This is practical mental health advice for when the world feels like too much. If you're ready to create more space in your head and feel like yourself again, this episode is for you. So, let's talk!

It was beneficial to the research committee to have Oliver Stone at the first JFK hearing of the Luna Committee in Congress. They murdered JFK & got away with it, with Dulles guarding all information. Earl Warren and others never wanted to head the commission, they were ordered to by President Lyndon B. Johnson. Steve discusses the importance of the cover up with Len mentioning CE #399 and that unbelievable lie. All of the new observations fail to produce any evidence of the government’s false claims that "Oswald did it". Steve met Mark Lane in 1966 shortly after the release of Rush To Judgment. Mark introduced Steve to Jim Garrison. Jim wanted to know if Steve had any skills when Steve offered to volunteer to help Jim with his JFK investigation. Steve had read all 26 volumes of Warren Commission testimony & exhibits, with experience in photography at UCLA. Overloaded with film & photographic evidence, Garrison hired Steve as a forensic investigator in charge of this material. Steve feels the biggest discovery from this photographic & video evidence is the Zapruder film! Garrison sent Steve to the National Archives to view the unedited version of the Zapruder film. It was shockingly clear. Steve was also communicating with a liason with French Intelligence SDECE & was sent to Paris in June of 1968. French Intelligence gave Steve a copy of their near perfect copy of the Zapruder film. Film was disguised for trip to USA. Steve made copies to anyone who wanted one, he sent many films to JFK assassination researchers. JFK couldn't have been shot from the front & the back, by anyone shooting from the 6th floor of the TSBD building. Len believes this week there will be a release of the assassination of Robert Kennedy at the Ambassador Hotel. All photos related to the assassinations should be released for public scrutiny. These are MURDER investigations. What happened in Dealey Plaza was a highly conscious and intentional act to completely change the direction of history. Churchill called the people who really control global politics the "High Cabal". Stay tuned for a new release this fall by Steve Jaffe, he's been busy working on a new book! Stay tuned! Until you start doing the deep research, you truly have no idea have no idea of the many lies that are told by the government. JFK's assassination completely changed the course of history, We still feel these effects. Part Two Paul Bleau @ 31:45 "The JFK Assassination Chokeholds: That Prove There Was A Conspiracy". Website "The Pepe Letters" Read here. Len & Paul discuss the latest in Paul's research & the JFK document release. Paul has an interest in the Fair Play For Cuba Committee. When Oswald joined this committee, Lee was on a mission. New Orleans wouldn't have had any appetite for communist sympathy after the Cuban Missile Crisis in the summer of 1963. Despite the logical failure of such a committee, Lee opens up a public chapter of the FPFC in New Orleans. Creation of such a committee in NO could have caused Castro issues regarding trade ...

Your arms are aching, the bags are pinching your fingers, and the food is beginning to slide out. But you keep moving, hoping to get everything into the kitchen before the bags break! Couples fight, relationships become strained and sometimes break apart. That's clear. The question is—why? Our assumption is we picked the wrong person, don't have the right chemistry, or have somehow fallen out of love. But what if it's less about your relationship with them and more about your relationship with stress? The world is moving faster and becoming more unpredictable and pressure filled. Could it be we're mislabeling and mismanaging the real issue? What if you could get to the root of what's going on between you? So all those encyclopedias, they're all at your fingertips now. If you want to know something, you don't have to argue about it over dinner all night.[00:09] You can simply find out and usually in a few seconds. It's crazy, but is it good for us? How can we manage this information age? All of this info? Do we need to know every **** thing?[00:23] Let's talk about it. So relax and settle in and listen up, because your stress therapy session is about to begin right now.[00:44] Hey, beautiful people, it's time for some stress therapy. A podcast about how to meditate and get better at stress for people living in the real world. Finally, a place to Park.[00:54] My 25 plus years of experience of working as a psychotherapist in the mental health field. And now your host, me, the stress therapist, Sheri Flake.[01:18] Hey, beautiful people, what's up? Okay, so I am a proudly Gen X person, okay? And I gotta tell you, it's been very interesting to be someone who had practically no technology whatsoever besides learning how to, like, work the hose.[01:34] I think I drove a car and, like, you know, I had to use my little push lawnmower. That was like the most technology that I used when I was little.[01:42] I did have a tape recorder machine that I really liked. You know, I made the mixtapes off the radio.[01:50] That really was about it. When I got older, I got really into, you know, microphones and singing and that type of thing to be in a band. And, you know, I kind of eased into having like a little synthesizer that I could record, but pretty much went from having no technology at all to every single thing you could possibly imagine.[02:07] And AI, which in and of itself is really kind of a super cool thing if you get to know it a little bit and see its limitations as well as its benefits.[02:18] But it's been interesting to watch this go down. Now my kids think I'm a boomer, which I am not. Okay? They say that just because I might not be as tech savvy heavy because I wasn't brought up on it, I wasn't born with it, right?[02:30] And I think we got to be careful with this, especially with our kids, because we don't really know what the ramifications are, it's going way faster than we are, right?[02:38] Our little bodies are, like, not catching up, and our brains are definitely don't know what to do with all this abundance of knowledge. So how can we protect ourselves? Like, yeah, when we're on the phone, we gotta watch the dopamine Hits and everything.[02:51] And we know that Instagram and all these social medias and Facebook and YouTube and all these places are really using these really sophisticated algorithms to steal our attention, to make us buy things, just to keep us on doing the same thing.[03:05] And I watch myself do it and I'll say to myself, oh, my gosh, I want to stop, you know, learning about this supplement, or I want to move on from how to decorate this type of table or whatever it is that I'm getting all wrapped up in.[03:20] And. And then I usually get stuck on comedies, right? Like, I'll sit and listen to comedians, and I just can't stop. Here comes the next joke. Here comes the next joke.[03:28] I totally get it. I don't think it has anything to do with us. I think it has to do with that they have figured out how the human brain works.[03:35] And, like, when I tell my kids, you know, you gotta be careful of this, I think they're like, well, I'm just like everybody else. And that's okay. I'm saying everybody else is falling victim to this screen scrolling and getting stuck there.[03:48] And it doesn't matter if you're aware of it logically, you're still kind of stuck in it. You know what I mean? And then there's the idea that if I want to know something, I can look it up immediately.[03:58] So, like, a long time ago, when I was trying to teach my kids about, you know, that ick feeling online, like, sometimes, you know, if you know you're going down a road where you might not want to see something, you can't unring that bell, right?[04:09] So one time I'm going to mention this here. I'm giving a trigger warning if you're afraid of spiders. Fast forward through this, okay? Like, I will make this less than a minute, but I saw a spider and I don't like spiders.[04:22] Spiders scare me, okay? It doesn't affect my life in a daily living. So I don't see it as, like, a simple phobia or anything. But I will try to avoid them.[04:29] Usually they gross me out. I saw a spider and it was really big and it was really scary and it was in a toilet. And I saw it on a Facebook feed where you could just, like, you go to Facebook and you can just scroll down and scroll down.[04:42] Now, since then, I've gotten Facebook Eradicator, which is this thing on your laptop where when you go to Facebook, all that comes up is like a quote from Jesus or the Buddha or something like that.[04:52] So you're not Getting stuck there, right? You have to go to someone's page if you want to see it. You can still see everything you

The Trans America Trail was the first major motorcycle adventure for Randy Gorrell and his son, Brady. The trip, intended to honor a promise, was filled with challenges. Brady, a newly licensed rider with no dirt experience, struggled on the rugged terrain, while Randy, despite his road expertise, found the TAT to be unlike anything he had ever experienced before. Overloaded bikes, failed comms, and painful saddle sores by Day 3 tested their resolve, with Brady repeatedly dropping his bike. It was a rough start to their travels—one that would make most question whether to attempt another trip.
