Many of us have felt our consciences pricked in the midst of doing something we know is harming the natural world. But few have thrown their lives into upheaval in the way Dave Bookless did having chucked a few bags of rubbish off a cliff at the end of a holiday. Twenty five years later, everything from Dave's job to the food on his family's table had changed. He founded A Rocha UK, wrote some influential books, got a PhD, became Director of Theology and Churches for A Rocha International and has spoken to Christians from over 100 countries about God's heart for all he has made. In that time life on earth has thinned dramatically and climate conditions become much worse but Dave has seen the church change and he is hopeful - hopeful because the body of Christ is a force to be reckoned with, and because God's love and faithfulness is eternal and unchanging.

Dave Bookless and Graham Hill discuss "Being planetwise: Caring for creation."Dave has worked with A Rocha since 1997, first as an International Trustee, then from 2001 with A Rocha UK as co-founder (with his wife Anne), National Director, and then Director for Theology, Churches & Sustainable Communities. He joined the A Rocha International team in September 2011. His role as Director of Theology includes providing advice and resources for ARI’s Trustees, Team and national A Rocha organizations, and coordinating liaison with international theological and mission networks and organizations. He is also studying part-time for a PhD at Cambridge University on biblical theology and biodiversity conservation.Dave’s passion is communicating biblical teaching to today’s cultures, and he has spoken in many countries to conferences, colleges and churches. He has contributed to many books and has authored two: Planetwise – Dare to Care for God’s World (IVP, 2008) and God Doesn’t do Waste (IVP, 2010), selected by Third Way magazine as one of its books of the year for 2010.Born and raised in India, Dave has a love for Indian food, Indian culture and Indian Christianity. He, his wife Anne, and their four daughters live in multi-cultural Southall, London, where Dave (an ordained Anglican minister) shares in the leadership of a multi-racial church and where as a family they try to live as sustainably as possible. Dave is also a qualified bird-ringer and loves birding, islands and mountains.

“Playin' my music helps me from feelin' down.” Every summer I fall in love all over again with the Lake Michigan coast and beaches. I believe it is one of a few places in the US where you can watch truly watch the sun set with it slowly fading away as it inches off the horizon. It is such a sight. When i am in the presence of such an awesome sight, I feel so small in comparison to sun and lake but it's so magnificent that I feel on top of the world. This is how I feel at a great House party. This show revolves around the concept of a library without any books. This is a process that a school outside of Boston is undertaking, where the concept is to replace all of the books in a traditional library with electronic means of data collection (e.g. Kindles).
