in this episode we recap the last 2 weekends in the NASCAR world including Chase Elliott's thrilling win at Kansas, SVG winning his 5th road course in a row at the Charlotte Roval, Joey Logano miraculously surviving elimination again and the news of 750 HP in 2026
Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!SVG dominates at the Charlotte Roval in NASCAR this past weekend. SVG takes a clean sweep of all road course races in this year. If he is able to win the next road course race next year, then he will break Jeff Gordon's consecutive road course win streak which SVG is tied with at 6.F1 sweated it out in Singapore this past weekend where George Russell took the win in what looked like a comfortable win even with Verstappen in his mirrors for a portion of the race. Speaking of Max, he has now had three races in a row where he's out-scored the McLaren duo which is keeping this championship miracle alive. F1 has a weekend off before they begin the Americas tour over the next 30 days.We cover some big news in the sportscar world as Porsche announces their departure from WEC's Hypercar class for next year which means there will most likely be no Porsche 963 contending for the overall victory at Le Mans next year or for the foreseeable future for that matter....in some good news, IMSA's Petit Le Mans is this weekend so there is still plenty of sportscar racing action to watch!Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Vegas, IMSA at Road Atlanta (Petit Le Mans), Supercars has its Bathurst 1000, and Super Formula is at Fuji for a double header.
This week, the boys zoom in to go a little off track, discuss a little NASCAR news, and a lawsuit update. Then break down the three not-so-surprising races from the Charlotte Roval.

Rod Mullins was down in Charlotte for us this past weekend, and reports back on van Gisbergen's road-course dominance, and the scramble among the 12 drivers still in the playoff hunt to get to the cutline for the Round of 8. Also on this week's show: we go into detail on the latest in the antitrust case in which two teams are challenging the NASCAR charter system.
Leigh Diffey joins Freddie Kraft, Tommy Baldwin, and Karsyn Elledge this week to break down a wild weekend at the Charlotte ROVAL – and yes, that “Hail Roval” move from Ross Chastain on Denny Hamlin is on the menu. The gang covers it all: Austin Hill missing the next round by the exact number of points he lost to suspension, tire wear flipping strategy on its head, chaos in the Truck race & much more.Plus, they discuss Kyle Busch's crew chief change, Sammy Smith's incredibly timed pit stop that advanced him to the next round, and Roger Penske's claim that the Next Gen car has made the racing better (the spotters have thoughts). And later, Leigh Diffey shares his most memorable call in the booth, and gives his advice for aspiring broadcasters. Plus, Reaction Theatre, #AskDBC, and more! This is the badge. You in or not? Denny Hamlin drives for Joe Gibbs Racing. He's also the co-owner of 23XI Racing, which has Bubba Wallace efforting to stay alive in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. So, when Hamlin bumped Wallace into the wall toward the end of Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400, that was going to get folks' attention, including Wallace's. The word “dumbass” may have entered the chat, for instance. Wallace is, right now, on the outside looking in, with one race left in the Round of 12, which becomes the Round of 8 after this weekend's Charlotte ROVAL. Rod Mullins will be down in Charlotte covering the race for AFP. I chatted with Rod on today's podcast to get into this Denny Hamlin-Bubba Wallace story, among other things, including the rumors that NASCAR is going to shutter its current playoff format to go back to the way things were down pre-2004. Matt Kenseth comes up as we talk through that one. Also, discussion of declining NASCAR ratings, and how politics is playing a role in that.
Episode 156 is on the scene and we are joined by NASCAR Regional's Brandon White for the entire podcast this week. The 30th running of the Valley Star 300 from Martinsville Speedway is in the books and it had a little bit of everything for everybody. The event featured two rain delays, Trevor Ward being forced to serve a stop and go while leading the race with arguably the fastest car after jumping a start, a crash before the drivers crossed the line to start the race to set the tone for the rest of the race to Tristan McKee being sent to the rear for rough driving with the finish of the race ultimately being nearly the closest in division history at the track. When it was all said and done it was Landon Pembelton nipping Lee Pulliam at the line to grab his second event win. Landon is our guest this week and tells us how he feels about winning his second Grandfather Clock, how he feels about Lee Pulliam as individual, the process from moving to R&S Race Cars from long time owner HC Sellers, where this clock may be going, reflection on this win putting him in rare category, whether this win is sweeter than the first & what he hopes to accomplish next in the sport. We also break down the event and discuss Lee Pulliam's impact on the sport, tough conversations with Tristan McKee and how he can benefit from that while being so young, break out performances from Martinsville, Mike Looney possibly riding into the sunset, the shocking Peyton Sellers DNQ from the main feature and some of the feel good stories coming from the heat races and the race itself. Oak Level Speedway in Virginia sat dormant for over a decade and on the verge of becoming a Lost Speedway. Well it is lost no more as Bo Miller recently purchased the facility and racing will return in 2026 with Langley Austin being the promoter. In part one of our interview with Bo, he reveals how this came together, how it almost didn't happen and the wild story of how it ended up happening after the county voted against it.We preview the upcoming CARS Tour race from Tri County and discuss the amazing Cup Series finish from Kansas and reveal who has the best chance to advance to the next round of the playoffs with the cutoff race being at the Charlotte Roval this weekend. The boys preview and pick the races this weekend, discuss Butterbean being on the cusp of an ARCA Menards Series title, Modifieds at Riverhead and more this week!

We have one last race in the Round of 12 until the field cuts off 4 drivers from the Championship hunt. NASCAR is headed back to the Charlotte Roval to do the honors. On this episode we recap the race that was at Talladega last Sunday, and discuss how somehow, someway, the Playoff standings weren't impacted terribly. Then it's time to talk road course racing for the last time this season. We discuss the data sets that will help us pick our outrights, our finishing position props, and the head to head matchups this week at the Roval. We also end the episode with one last prop bet that stands out.
Denny Hamlin and co-host Jared Allen are back after an eventful race at Talladega. To decide the order of topics for the show, they brought out a wheel to spin and let it decide. The first topic of the day is the lawsuit 23XI and Front Row Motorsports filed against NASCAR (5:20). Denny explains why 23XI couldn't sign the charter agreement and the importance of why they are suing NASCAR.They also discuss the 11-team's decision to take two tires while others took fuel only (19:00), and whether Ricky Stenhouse Jr. should've been ruled part of the crash due to damage (25:00). Plus, why were the rules on Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher not enforced?Next, they tackle teams being allowed to work on cars under a red flag, managing of DVP and cars being towed back had many people frustrated (32:25).Denny also breaks down the massive 25-car wreck (42:50), how Alex Bowman ruined Ryan Blaney's day (51:10), and Daniel Suarez's self-inflicted mistake (55:05).Finally, Denny and Jared look ahead to the final race of the round of 12 at the Charlotte Roval and the expectations are chaos. For more content head to our YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/@ActionsDetrimental
