The Playoff drivers are starting to come to life as Joey Logano scored the win in Las Vegas to move himself into the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4. Andrew Combs is the executive chef for Stewart-Haas Racing, but what exactly does that entail? Combs takes us inside a busy week leading into the Charlotte Roval; what prep looks like before a race weekend; previous roles in the sport before turning to cooking; trying to describe the setup in the garage; knowing when it's time to start feeding everyone; putting together complex meals; having his working station custom made; how the equipment travels; sticking to favorites versus changing things up; accommodating for diets and other preferences; having a Smithfield sponsorship; how many people Combs feeds on a given weekend; watching and comparing to other team cooks; having a culinary degree and a long-time love of cooking; rules and regulations of the garage; having a Facebook page to share his cooking and racing adventures; doing some filming with the Food Network; what is the most fulfilling for Combs in his job. It was a wacky weekend of NASCAR Cup Series racing at the Roval - the road course inside of Charlotte Motor Speedway. Will Porter and Jacob Simpson have a lot to break down from this playoff elimination race, including the racing on the road courses this season, how defending series champion Kyle Larson got eliminated, NASCARs officiating of the race and how a late race caution changed everything, Chase Briscoe advancing instead and just how he did it, the stiff penalty handed down to Cole Custer and his crew chief, and the look ahead to the Round of 8. Plus, predictions, a meeting between NASCAR and the drivers, race team representatives meeting with media members to voice their displeasure of the state of financial negotiations, whether or not Kevin Harvick's car was a "random draw," and 23XI buying out Tyler Reddick's contract from RCR. Along with Formula One crowning a champion under a unique set of circumstances and the NASCAR Xfinity Series marching on to their respective Round of 8, buckle up for this installment of The Boogity Bros Podcast! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/theboogitybrospodcast/message

Christopher Bell walked into the Charlotte Roval needing a win to advance to the round of 8, and he did just that. The Door Bump Clear crew is back from Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL weekend after two playoff cutoff races. Brett Griffin, T.J. Majors and Freddie Kraft talk about the difficulty drivers had passing on Sunday, the drivers safety meeting with NASCAR, the DBC trackside live show on Saturday, and fellow podcast host Conor Daly's Cup debut. First in Spot On, Spot Off, the guys discuss NASCAR throwing a caution for a sign on the track late in the race. Brett expresses his displeasure for NASCAR allowing signage like that on the track and explains why game seven moments shouldn't be decided like this. Chase Elliott and AJ Allmendinger lote the lead on the second-to-last restart costing them both the win. The guys applaud both drivers' aggressive moves but question if Allmendinger should have raced Elliott cleaner because he's a playoff driver. Next, Cole Custer threw a block down the backstretch allowing teammate Chase Briscoe to gain positions on the final lap. They explain why Briscoe was going to make an aggressive move either way and react to NASCAR investigating if Custer's block was intentionally helping him. William Byron's penalty for spinning Denny Hamlin out under caution during the Texas race was reversed. The spotters explain how the appeal process works and why the hearing should have taken place sooner. Plus, hear how it ultimately impacted the Round of 12 playoff elimiations. NASCAR president, Steve Phelps, said penalizing Kevin Harvick was not punitive after his outspoken comments about the Next Gen car. The guys explain why NASCAR needs to be more transparent about their random inspection picking process. Plus, they share insight about what changes could be made for next year to the back of the car and how industry members need to be more appreciated by the sanctioning body. Finally, NASCAR responds to teams asking for a fairer profit split by proposing a small increase in revenue but also dramatic cost-cutting measures. Brett explains how large the TV contract affects the sport's revenue and discusses the decrease in drivers' base salaries over the past 10 years. In Reaction Theatre, fans call in about the Xfinity Series driver aggression, Kyle Larson getting eliminated from the playoffs and the caution caused by the sign. The guys make their Championship 4 predictions later in the show. Plus, a special Cup Series driver guest calls in and tells us which fan base is his favorite and who he thinks makes it to Phoenix.
