Growing up in a Mexican household in Orange County, California, Cristina Saralegui and Oprah were favorites on the household TV. These two legends inspired Jeannette Ceja to become an Award- Winning Bilingual On Air TV Host and Travel Journalist. She was recently named as one of "20 Latina Business Influences to Follow Today" according to Hispanic Executive Magazine. Jeannette highlights the early struggles she faced in her career as a Latina and how she's advocating for more representation and diversity in the media industry. She vulnerably shares the personal life hurdles that may occur when you are Travel Journalist. Jeannette has travelled to over 60 countries for work, awarding her the  2022 Al Dia 40 Under Forty Honoree. She's determined to be a mentor to youth because of her personal lack of mentors who looked like her as a kid.

Guest Bio Migdalia Figueroa President & General Manager Telemundo Orlando Migdalia Figueroa is the President & General Manager of Telemundo Station Group's Orlando Station, WTMO. She previously served as Vice President of News at NBC 6 South Florida, the NBC-owned station serving the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market, where she was responsible for relaunching the station's news brand and mission, and for redefining and implementing new editorial and production styles and workflows. Prior to joining NBC 6, Migdalia was Senior Vice President of Content and Brand for the Telemundo Station Group. In that role, she had oversight of local branding and local newscast overall performance at all stations. She was promoted to that position after joining Telemundo in January 2005 as Vice President of News for the Miami station, taking it to the #1 spot in that very competitive market during her tenure, a position it maintains to this day. Migdalia was recently honored with the coveted Silver Circle Award for her over 30 years of experience, excellency and contributions to the industry. A winner of five individual and one station regional EMMY award, she began her broadcast journalism career as a news producer in her native Puerto Rico. In 1990, she moved to New York City, where she joined the Univision station. Two years later, she moved to Miami to produce Univision Network News, weekend edition, also serving as Executive Producer of WLTV's newscasts, Executive Producer for Univision Online, and General Producer of the iconic flagship program, “El Show de Cristina,” before moving to Telemundo. Listeners, we're back this week with Luisa Diaz.Luisa is an actress, who has been featured in Oscar-winning movies such as The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook. She is the former Ms. Venezuela International and is known in North Carolina as “Luisa Su Voz Latina” (Luisa your Latin voice), where Luisa was the host and producer of the first and longest-running Spanish language TV program produced in a major network. It ran for three years in North Carolina with interviews of celebrities in the Latin community such as Jorge Ramos, Cristina Saralegui, and Oprah Winfrey, among others. Through her success with her show, she became a personality and a brand name. Luisa produces and hosts her third entertainment talk show called, “Luisa,” which incorporates a live band and a studio audience. Luisa also created a foundation to help unprivileged children called “Luisa Su Voz Latina Foundation,” with toy drives for Christmas and food drives for Thanksgiving. Luisa was also the director of the Miss North Carolina Latina beauty pageant. Her comprehensive organization was dedicated to assisting young Latin women to grow and develop the confidence they need to achieve their personal dreams. Luisa came to the United States not knowing the English language, but this did not stop her from attending college and graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration along with a concentration in Marketing. This was the greatest challenge she had ever faced. Then she moved to Hollywood to explore the world of entertainment. Being very talented and creative, she is a natural both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Luisa chose to create awareness for domestic violence with Mi Amor Gala in honor of her beloved grandmother who was mentally and physically abused. She was inspired to found and produce Mi Amor Gala, which is a celebration of kindness: angels that empower other angels with broken wings through the gift of love. These glamorously themed events benefit various charities that empower women and bring them hope. Two of the main charities Luisa collaborates with are the Maria Suarez Foundation, which exists to end modern slavery, and Safe Passage, which brings compassionate transformation to victims of domestic violence.
