Emmanuel Lewis is a former Detention Service Officer with the Dallas County Jail and previously worked in the Dallas County Elections Department. His intuition and attention to the political landscape in Dallas County is impressive. He is sounding the alarms on the malfeasance and mismanagement of the county jail under the leadership of Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins. He describes some of the major issues of safety and security in the jail, as well as hundreds of thousands of missing funds. Emmanuel has written and submitted multiple op-eds to local media sources to underscore this issue. He is exploring an employment lawsuit with the county relating to the hypocrisy and violations. The way the county deals with mental health issues in Dallas is to deposit them in the jail system rather than establishing a proper continuum of care to deal with the increasing crisis which was exacerbated by the tyrannical lockdowns. Emmanuel provides practical solutions to this important issue. Social Impact Podcast is brought to you by:OBBM Network Brands1st Safety Training, 214-808-9757Social Impact Podcast is on Spotify! But white voters will have disproportionate control of elections under the state's new political maps. Building better communities can sometimes be a challenging task. You have to implement health care rules and regulations that benefit us all and cultivate relationships that can get the job done. It starts with neighborhood involvement and business outreach. Each one of us has a prominent place in our neighborhoods. So let's start today and make some changes. Today's guest today is Jane Hope Hamilton, a candidate in the May 24th runoff primary for the Democratic nomination to succeed Eddie Bernice Johnson as Representative to the US Congress from Texas' 30th Congressional District. Jane Hamilton's resumé shows deep connections to Democratic politics in the state of Texas: she has served in key staff and advisory positions for Texas House Representative Helen Giddings, for US Congressman Representative Martin Frost, and as Campaign Manager for Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins. She served as both Campaign Manager and as Chief of Staff for US Congressman Marc Veasey from Texas' 33rd District. As if that isn't enough, Jane somehow found time to serve on the Boards of numerous civic and educational organizations, including Angie's List, the Dallas County Election Advisory Council, and the Texas Justice & Education Fund. Jane is the Founder and current President of the Barbara Jordan Leadership Institute, an organization I especially want to ask about during the next hour. “With more than two decades of experience in public policy, electoral politics, and community organizing, Jane Hamilton's entire career centers around Progressive Activism for the benefit of underserved communities. Since the pandemic hit in March of 2020, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins has been capitalizing on the emergency powers afforded to him during the crisis. The County Judge is considered the County's “Chief Executive Officer” for the purposes of signing contracts and executing other matters approved by the Court. Dallas County is the second largest in Texas. After more than a decade of political theater under Jenkins' leadership, Dallas County residents on both sides of the aisle are ripe for change. Billy Clark is the Democratic challenger to Clay Jenkins for the March Primary in 2022. Billy is has three daughters and one son. He has over 20 years of military experience both enlisted and as an officer. Clark is also the Managing Attorney of The Clark Law Firm, PLLC where his practice area includes Criminal Defense, Civil Rights, and Aviation law.Prior to starting his legal career, Clark was a teacher at Klein Forest High School in Houston, Texas. He was the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor for the Junior Air Force ROTC program. After Hurricane Harvey, Clark returned to Dallas County.Billy shared his concerns about the current leadership over the Commissioners Court, the elections office, public health, emergency management, and the recent malfeasance with more than $600,000 in Dallas County Jail inmates' commissary funds stolen. I shared my concerns about Jenkins' attempt to steer CARES money to his buddies, Miguel Solis, a former DISD trustee and current employee of Commit, and his former campaign manager Philip Hiatt Haigh. A bipartisan trio of commissioners thwarted a scheme by Jenkins to use “ZuckBucks” which would have been in direct violation of Texas election law. The Democrat-dominated court voted 3-2 to eliminate Jenkins' plan to use Communities Foundation to funnel money to more of his “favorite folks.”Dallas has an opportunity for change in leadership in 2022. This is why you support CrossPolitic, because of crap like this: Listen to Reverend Walter Kim, President of the National Association of Evangelicals, and serves as Pastor for Leadership for the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville, Virginia, as he shares his belief that the COVID-19 vaccines are gifts from God, and that the Christian perspective of “loving thy neighbor” is an important reason to get vaccinated. Roll Clip: https://youtu.be/OKXi7lEwajA In many COVID hot spots, a pattern: High concentrations of white evangelicals As COVID-19 cases surge again, two things are true about many counties considered hot spots: Vaccination rates are low and white evangelical Protestant populations are high, according to a new data analysis. Concern about vaccine hesitancy or outright anti-vaccine sentiment among white evangelicals has persisted since at least March, when, according to a poll from Pew Research Center, those who said they were Christian and born-again were far more likely than any other religious group to say they definitely or probably would not get a vaccine. A full 45% of white evangelicals fit this description. The next-closest religious classification (Americans who list their religious affiliation as “nothing in particular”) was a full 9 points lower at 36%, which was also the national average. Russell Moore, a former Southern Baptist Convention official, told Religion News Service: “Evangelical Christians should be leading the way in thanking God for the cure we spent a year praying for. The least we can do is get our shots so that we can carry on our mission in our communities, without fear of getting anyone sick. Our gospel witness should be contagious; we shouldn't be.” Moore (also) told RNS he has spoken with evangelical doctors “discouraged to the point of exhaustion by the low rates of vaccination among sectors of our fellow Christians,” despite pleading for people to get vaccinated. Victory for Freedom: Unexpected State Declares Churches Will Never Close Again The “Live Free or Die” state struck a blow for religious liberty Tuesday as Republican Gov. Chris Sununu signed a bill designating churches as essential services. The Associated Press reported that HB 542 “allows such religious organizations to operate to the same degree as essential businesses during a state of emergency.” The legislation specifies, “Nothing in this section shall prohibit the state government from requiring religious organizations to comply with neutral health, safety, or occupancy requirements issued by the state or federal government that are applicable to all organizations and businesses that provide essential services.” Why did New Hamshire have to do this? Doesn't the Constitution of the United States already do this? And where do the categorical definitions of essential and non-essential come from? Dallas ISD will continue enforcing mask mandate despite Supreme Court's move against Jenkins' order https://www.dallasnews.com/news/education/2021/08/15/dallas-isd-will-continue-enforcing-mask-mandate/ Dallas ISD will continue to require masks for all students and staff members, despite a decision Sunday by the Texas Supreme Court that temporarily halted Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins' public health order requiring masks in public schools and businesses. “Until there's an official order of the court that applies to the Dallas Independent School District, we will continue to have the mask mandate,” Superintendent Michael Hinojosa said late Sunday. But he said he knows the fight isn't over: “After a court rules, then I will comply, if it's not in my favor.” Rena Honea, the president of teacher union Alliance-AFT Dallas, said her organization would support Hinojosa if he decided to defy Abbott's executive order once again. “Certainly we're disappointed in the ruling, but not surprised,” Honea said. “Obviously, this decision is being made with the health and safety of students and employees in Dallas ISD not considered. We'll support him if he will stay strong and do what's right for these families.” Broward County School Board voted to make masks mandatory in classrooms, in defiance of the governor. https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2021/08/14/1027730035/broward-county-florida-teachers-covid-coronavirus-deaths?utm_campaign=npr&utm_medium=social&utm_term=nprnews&utm_source=facebook.com How are these districts defying governors orders and state Supreme Court orders, and we can't get the church to even meet when there are no orders? As Christians, we need to form a business network, a sort of Christian economy. We have made you aware that our friends at the Babylon Bee have been canceled from Mailchimp, our friends at Gab have been canceled by, I think, 5 banks in the last year, and so on. We of course have no problem doing business with unbelievers, but the time has come that we need to be intentional with working with each other. I want to find a Christian owned bank, a Christian server farm, a Christian owned hospital, and so forth. So, we want to create a business directory, which will probably go in our club portal or something along those lines (not quite sure how we want to deliver this directory yet), but go and sign your business up to www.FLFnetwork.com/business. We have over a 100 business already signed up, and can't wait to reach 5000 businesses, 10,000, etc... The "mastermind of the regime change" in Afghanistan is a Taliban commander that Obama traded in 2014 for a U.S. deserter, despite the Pentagon warning he was "too dangerous to release" https://notthebee.com/article/the-mastermind-of-the-regime-change-in-afghanistan-is-a-taliban-commander-that-obama-traded-in-2014-for-a-us-deserter-despite-the-pentagon-warning-he-was-too-dangerous-to-release- Back in 2014, the Obama administration traded five key Taliban members who were being held in Guantanamo for a U.S. soldier named Bowe Bergdahl who had deserted his post and gotten captured by the Taliban in 2009. At the time, people railed against Obama for the stupidity of the decision, saying it was supremely dumb to trade five top enemy soldiers for one AWOL sergeant who had abandoned his duties and his oath. Congressional investigators from the Governmental Accountability Office also determined that the trade was a violation of the law. No matter, though! Obama said the "Taliban 5" would be kept in Qatar, which definitely isn't known as a middleman for various Islamist groups and sympathizers. The "Taliban 5" were quickly back in Afghanistan, where all of them – led by former detainee Khairullah Khairkhwa – just orchestrated the entire takeover of the nation. Our friend, Matt Walsh, tweeted a video out of our State Deparment saying dumb things: Roll Clip: https://twitter.com/MattWalshBlog/status/1427389269170180109 Well Matt Zeller, former Afghan vet and co-founder of No One Left Behind, had this to say about Biden's “press conference” that Knox played on his News Brief yesterday: Make sure you catch the mid-week fix today, as we have guest coming on to talk the Afghan debacle. It seems like sanity may somewhat reign with the adults in Texas. Judges issued two restraining orders against Governor Greg Abbott. (1)A judge ruled in favor Tuesday of Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins after he filed a temporary restraining order against Gov. Greg Abbott's mask mandate ban. (2) San Antonio leaders scored a victory in court against Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Tuesday in the ongoing fight over mask mandates.. Fox News Doocy tries to blame Biden for vaccine hesitancy & Jen Psaki used Trump to make him pay. I swear that Jen Psaki must have a camera on Fox News Peter Doocy's notes. She is always ready with an extension to the answer that dings him. It is clear that as this fourth wave begins mostly because of the unvaccinated, the Right-Wing misinformation media complex needs a scapegoat. Suffice it to say, the majority of the unvaccinated are remaining that way because of Right-Wing conspiracy theories and Right-Wing media that lie and misinform about the COVID vaccine. Here is why the bipartisan bill must not be until $3.5 Trillion human infrastructure is passed. (1) Inflation number looks high because it is compared to deflated prices from one year ago. (2) Europe did less because built into their system is a safety net. (3) If $3.5 trillion dollars for things that we need and are overdue will crush the economy it means the current economy was not designed for most but for a few. (4) A House Democrat saying they are concerned about raising taxes when those with capital are the least taxed is why Nancy Pelosi must not pass the bipartisan bill until the reconciliation bill is passed. (5) A Democrat saying this is not something we should jam through is naive and shows weakness after the middle-class and poor have been jammed for decades. --- If you like what we do please do the following! A variety of federal agencies, including the Department of Defense, NIH, HHS, and FDA have paid for “gain of function” research using federal tax dollars over the last two decades. “Gain of function” is a method of trying to increase the ability of a virus to infect and cause harm to people. This has made the virus more deadly and more contagious. Since the virus is likely man-made and non-naturally occurring, the spike proteins in the vaccine are also non-naturally occurring and were produced by “gain of function.” Dr. Richard Fleming is a research scientist with a Ph.D in physics, as well as a nuclear cardiologist with law degree. He reveals there is much evidence suggesting that the SARS-Cov-2 virus was created in a laboratory through U.S. taxpayer-funded “gain of function” research by scientists in America and Wuhan, China. Why should we listen to experts like Dr. Fleming over the local “health” experts like Dallas HHS Director Dr. Philip Huang and Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins?Fleming understands why people get sick with the virus and potentially develop COVID-19. In 1994 he presented his theory to the American Heart Association regarding inflammatory and thrombotic response caused by viruses and bacteria. PCR tests don’t tell us what is going on inside the body. His Fleming Method measures what is going on inside the tissue in order to treat the problem. The local health experts don’t talk about what works and what doesn’t work. They just repeat talking points on washing hands, wearing a mask and social distancing. Fleming explained the mRNA technology at the core of the vaccines, which he warned is an experimental drug and not even approved by the FDA. Pointing to the “Emergency Use Authorization,” Dr. Fleming says we are being misled and authorities and medical professionals are failing to obtain “informed consent” before using the experimental vaccines on trusting recipients.A variety of federal agencies, including the Department of Defense, NIH, HHS, and FDA have paid for “gain of function” research using federal tax dollars over the last two decades. “Gain of function” is a method of trying to increase the ability of a virus to infect and cause harm to people. This has made the virus more deadly and more contagious. Since the virus is likely man-made and non-naturally occurring, the spike proteins in the vaccine are also non-naturally occurring and were produced by “gain of function.” When tracking the vaccines and their distribution in the world, Dr. Fleming says they precede the onset of the new “variants” and there is more than one variant. Since we can’t trust the BigPharma and the vaccine manufacturers, he has reason to believe the variants follow on the heels of the vaccine sequence. I asked Dr. Fleming about the dangers of transhumanism and the potential for the vaccine to be an injectable operating system. He said we can trust the science but not all scientists. It is not the role of the federal government to mandate an experimental drug tested on the population to control a disease that doesn’t occur any more often than someone who isn’t vaccinated as revealed in the EUA documents found in this full article. Dr. Fleming was targeted for his work challenging the medical establishment and its official narratives--especially when those narratives cost Big Pharma some of its huge profits. The Fleming Method and Dr. Fleming’s CV https://www.flemingmethod.comSupport the show (https://offbeatbusiness.com/sign-up/#join)

The Jasons discuss the FACTS surrounding COVID-19 and preparations in Texas. They start their conversation with former WFAA-TV reporter Jonathan Betz, who now lives in Beijing, China and is currently under quarantine. To say Jonathan is feeling isolated is understatement. But he’s still getting his deliveries, which is an interesting part of life in Beijing. The Jasons then visit with Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins who talks about the lessons learned during the Ebola scare in 2014. The Judge says there was no outbreak blueprint prior to Ebola. But now we are ahead of the game because we have plans in place to deal with outbreaks, thanks to the 2014 scare. Transparency is key, the Judge says, in keeping the public calm. He says so far, the state is doing everything it needs to do to protect its citizens. And throughout the podcast, you’ll hear from Dr. Clinton Haley, an infectious disease expert in Dallas, including what he is telling his own family about COVID-19. Links:CDC COVID-19Texas Health & Human Services COVID-19North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants

The Dallas County Commissioners Court is planning to call a special meeting for Thursday to discuss whether to request that Gov. Rick Perry declare a local emergency because of the Ebola crisis. The meeting will be at 2 p.m. at the County Administration Building, 411 Elm Street in Dallas.According to state law, a declaration of emergency “activates the appropriate recovery and rehabilitation aspects of all applicable local or interjurisdictional emergency management plans and authorizes the furnishing of aid and assistance under the declaration.” Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said they probably will include restrictions on using public transportation and visiting areas where they’d be at risk of transmitting Ebola.President Barack Obama vowed a more aggressive federal role.He offered assurance that a “serious outbreak” remains extremely unlikely — a somewhat weaker promise than one last week, when he said the threat of any outbreak remained “extremely low.”“I want people to understand that the dangers of you contracting Ebola, the dangers of a serious outbreak, are extraordinarily low,” Obama said. “But we are taking this very seriously at the highest levels of government.”Dallas Morning News
