Send us a textThe Minnesota Twins complete their first sweep of 2025 taking three straight from the Los Angeles Angels at Target Field. The Twins were flying high with the return of Pablo Lopez to the roster and Royce Lewis starting a rehab assignment at AAA. While spirits were high there was some sadness as the Twins breakout prospect Luke Keaschall suffered a fractured forearm after being HBP in game 1. Dan praises Rocco's bullpen management and wonders if the Twins may try and move a starting pitcher before the trade deadline. David wants to know if Rocco will continue letting lefty batters see lefty pitchers once he has a full bench, and also wants to know what the reasonable expectations should be for Royce upon his return to the roster. The guys finish up discussing a new ump relegation idea, and make their picks for the upcoming 4-game set against the Cleveland Guardians. Thanks for listening, and as always, go Twins! Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks… Anonymous: Hi Dr Cabral. I have a question about fat pads. Like sacral fat pads and the “buffalo humps” specifically. I have read that diet and exercise hardly makes a difference for these. And liposuction seems to be the only thing that comes up to get rid of them. I understand we all store fat differently, but I'm curious about these specifically. Do you know if loss of body fat gets rid of these? Mine have gotten worse over a few years, and despite losing some weight ( maybe not enough yet) these areas don't seem to change. I'm a pretty petite person, but I do have some excess fat I would like to get rid of. This area troubles me and I feel a little hopeless that they don't change even with weight loss. Thank you! Chelsea: Hi Stephen, thank you for all your helpful information and knowledge. I've recently developed dry crack skin in between my fingers and a lot of bumps on my upper back and shoulders. I can't seem to pop the bumps, it's not like they're pimples. I thought the cracking in between my fingers was potentially a fungus like athletes foot? But I tried yeast infection cream and it didn't seem to help. This might be TMI, but I'm also very itchy in my genitals. However, test results came back negative for yeast infection or STDs. This has all started at the same time. Could it be related to my gut? Is this a histamine response? I recently did a gut and sibo test, I get my results on Thursday. I've had sibo before but I didn't have these symptoms. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks! Kayla: Hi Dr Cabral Thank you for all that you do, your podcasts bring me hope & calmness every time!I am 33 years old, overall good health, hypothyroidism 3.6 TSH, LPa high but all other markers (apo B, triglycerides etc good). I recently got my thermography results “cranial dental/thyroid exam” it shows I still have some inflammation around the sinus, neck, & thyroid resulting in possible nodules, last year I removed 4 cavitations, dead bone (dental surgery) & it seems I may still be infected on my upper left molar, I'm exhausted , I dont think I have the strength for surgery again , every year I do the big 5 labs, and overall my results are always very good since I continually do yearly protocols , I'm not sure what to do anymore, losing hope thyroid, neck inflammation. Kayla: Hi Dr Cabral, Could you speak more of Lipoprotein A (LPa) blood marker, my LPa is 158 & all my other markers are pretty optimal (ldl, hdl, apo b , triglycerides etc) my question is, what now? How do I live with high LPa if lifestyle “doesn't change the marker level” .. It feels like this will creep up on me, I take omega daily but theres talk about Niacin flush , I just need you to speak more of this I trust your insight & I want to know how to live worry free. Kellie: Hi Dr. Cabral! My husband really started focusing on improving his health over the past 5 years - annual physicals, routine dentist, exercise bike 30min/day, nicotine-free, homemade meat & veggie meals, etc. The only Rx the last 5 yrs is for HBP (lisinopril-hctz 20-25). He recently went through a Healthy Heart Screening and found out his Calcium Score is 39. Is that permanent or what can he do to get that back to 0? Also, we discuss the Dodgers' new City Connects ahead of their release…did our comments hold up once the real deal dropped?? (Yes.) The IL Report is unfortunately back! Tommy Pham returns just in time to face his former club, Masataka Yoshida comes off a lengthy stint only to be HBP in the hand, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto goes to the 15-day with a strained rotator cuff. But position player news keeps us in high spirits! Rob Refsnyder and Connor Wong continue to hold it down for the Red Sox, with Refsnyder being “one of our best players,” Steven Kwan is on a 10! Game! Hit! Streak!, and Kyle Higashioka hits his first ever walk off home run. In pitching news, Dane Dunning gets the Yu Darvish treatment from his World Series Champion teammates, Kenta Maeda is back, and Shota Imanaga - er, sorry, MIKE Imanaga II - knows he's a sophisticated guy. It was great to receive so many responses to our podcast Episode 434 from last week on Total Bases Per Plate Appearance. We wanted to go further with it and apparently listeners want that too. So we've created another new stat - Bases created per plate appearance. This stat includes BB, IBB, HBP and net Stolen Bases for each player and each team. This season's Atlanta Braves reign supreme with this stat as well as the more productive hitting team in MLB history! We're still tweaking and fine tuning as there's an issue with Grounding into Double Plays as a negative stat since that stat was not calculated until 1933 in the NL and 1939 in the AL so players like Babe Ruth and teams before that time benefit unfairly. We put a link to our Google sheet with tabs for BC/PA by team all-time, Players all-time and teams in the just completed 2023 season. We've added a YouTube Channel. The Nats are now 0-4 this year against Miami after narrowly falling 6-5 in D.C. Al hosts solo and runs through Trevor Williams' rough start as he has now given up 11 runs in his three June outings. Meanwhile, last year's NL Cy Young winner Sandy Alcantara has pitched poorly this year and that was the case on Friday night despite his dominance last year vs. Washington. (08:50) The Marlins' go head run came in the top of the 8th on an infield single that scored Garrett Cooper all the way from 2B. Al dissects the way that CJ Abrams played it and what the Nationals defense stats look like as of lately. (17:30) Victor Robles returned from the IL and just before he singled, he tried to pull of a phantom HBP. Robles' promotion sent Alex Call down to AAA Rochester, who was only hitting .209 on the season. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

It's been a rough week for Two Strike Noise. Bad news regarding the future of the Oakland A's has brought the show down but we shall persist! We've got some numbers regarding the A's and relocation as well as their pitch staff (or guys on the mound trying to pitch?). We imagine a Major League reboot, discuss MLB continuing to tinker with new rules, see a new HBP record and ofcourse have to talk all thing Nootbaar. We rip a couple of 1988 Topps packs in this week's Wax Pack Heroes and come up with a science joke that clearly went over Mark's head.. Don't forget, you can leave us a message at 607-216-8811.
