We talked about this one during our YouTube days. Excited to share this one with you another Ed Hunt classic. 1981's Bloody Birthday. Picked this one because Mutant City Horror's number one fan Daryl; sat in on it and it was so close to his birthday. The timing was perfect. However; we didn't even talk about Julie Brown, being part of the cast who's in things like Clueless and Earth Girls Are Easy.
Nature is an incredible source of inspiration for scientists and R&D experts, leading to the development of biomimicry: a new branch of science that seeks to imitate living things. Through biomimicry, researchers are able to develop new technologies by studying and imitating the designs created in nature by Allah. This approach has been applied in the world of technology, particularly in nanotechnology, robot technology, artificial intelligence, medicine, and the military. By drawing from these natural systems as models, humans are able to create more sustainable technologies than those in use today. Biomimicry has surprised scientists and revealed incomparable structures and systems that have the potential to enrich technology in a wide range of fields. Nature is a source of inspiration for scientists, and biomimicry is a way of using the extraordinary designs in living things in the service of humanity. Scientists are making important gains with regard to time and labor, and using less material resources by imitating nature. There are many scientific papers that discuss these topics, such as "Science is Imitating Nature," "Life's Lessons in Design," "Biomimicry: Secrets Hiding in Plain Sight," and more. In the 19th century, nature was only imitated aesthetically, but in the 20th century, scientists began studying natural mechanisms at the molecular level and learned from living things, as revealed in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago. Welcome back to our podcast series from The Super Network and Pop4D called Tubi Tuesdays Podcast! This podcast series is focused on discovering and doing commentaries/watch a longs for films found on the free streaming service Tubi, at TubiTVYour hosts for Tubi Tuesdays are Super Marcey, ‘The Terrible Australian' Bede Jermyn and Prof. Batch (From Pop4D & Web Tales: A Spider-Man Podcast), will take turns each week picking a film to watch and most of them will be ones we haven't seen before.Welcome to spooooky month here at The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast, hope you're ready for a month of horror films! This week to kick off proceedings is our Patreon Poll Pick episode, where one of the hosts will pick four films streaming on Tubi and the Patreons vote in the poll and decide the film. Unfortunately the poll picks were Bede's choice and in true Bede fashion he chose four films that he hadn't seen and the Patreon's voted for Halloween Hell (2014) starring Eric Roberts, one of the heroes of this podcast. Marcey and Batch are scared, so they should be! Does Halloween Hell rank as one of the worst film covered for the show? Listen in and find out!Halloween Hell was written and directed by Ed Hunt, it stars Eric Roberts, awful CGI, a weird demon with CGI fire legs, a Dracula statue and some rather questionable acting. If you have never listened to a commentary before and want to watch the film along with the podcast, here is how it works. You simply need to grab a copy of the film or load it up on Tubi (you may need alcohol), and sync up the podcast audio with the film. We will tell you when to press and you follow along, it is that easy! Because we have watched the films on Tubi, it is a free service and there are ads, however we will give a warning when it comes up, so you can pause the film and provide time stamps to keep in sync.Highlights include:* Welcome to spoooooky horror month!* Why was this film voted in to watch?* All three hosts are scared!* Marcey can't stop laughing at the Dracula statue!* Bede can't stop laughing at the demons fire legs!* Batch pops over Eric Roberts flipping the bird!* Was the budget 5 cents?* Was the CGI made on Windows 95?* Plus much, much more!Check out The Super Network on Patreon to gain early access to The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast as well as the video version!DISCLAIMER: This audio commentary isn't meant to be taken seriously, it is just a humourous look at a film. It is for entertainment purposes, we do not wish to offend anyone who worked on and in the film, we have respect for you all. Please Visit Our Sponsor For This Episode SurfShark VPNFor More http://linktr.ee/TheTubiTuesdaysPodcast Hosted on Acast. This episode of BCEN and Friends lets you meet our friend Ed Hunt. Ed Hunt is an BCEN certified nurse working in the ER in Southwest Washington State. Ed currently works at two hospitals - one tiny 6 bed ER in a coastal tourist town and the other a big 44 bed ER in a metro area. Nursing is a second career for Ed – for 14 years he was a newspaper reporter and early pioneer of on-line journalism in the late 1990s and early 2000s. After 9/11, however, he joined his local fire department and became a firefighter and EMT. While training to be an EMT he fell in love with Emergency Nursing. Ed says that emergency nursing is “instant gratification nursing, people come in, you figure out what's wrong and get them feeling better.” He is still writing - maintaining a monthly newspaper column up until the start of the pandemic and self-publishing books of his essays. You can also find his writing at Redtriage.com Michael Dexter and Mark Eggers talk with Ed about going from radio/journalist to nursing. For 14 years he was a newspaper reporter. After 9/11 he joined his local fire department and became a firefighter and EMT and from there he began his life in the world of emergency nursing This episode is called, From Radio to Nursing Ed Hunt can be reached at redtraige.com and on Twitter @redtriage

With the help of an alien organism, a man brainwashes audiences through television and troubled but brilliant high school student with a penchant for pranks is determined to stop them. It's The Brain! Nathan and Ryan check out The Brain directed by Ed Hunt in 1988. The beautiful story of a giant brain that controls the airwaves, terrorizing the world to do his bidding. It's a classic in the canucksploitation genre and famous on video store shelves. It's another part of the trashy boys empire of trashy movies.
