One of the primary objectives of any wrestling performer is to distinguish himself or herself from the crowd. In a primarily visual medium, costuming and ring attire are effective tools for standing out from the cavalcade of similar looking athletic performers. Costuming communicates critical information about a performer's character and may play an important role in helping a wrestler get over with an audience. In this episode, we dive into the clothes that make the men, and explore what the choice of attire says about the performer.

We’re entering the final month of 2017, but there’s a lot being put in place before we’re full steam ahead on the road to WrestleMania! Roman Reigns had his first title defense against Elias. It was a great match, but now that Samoa Joe is in the mix, where does the IC title competition go from here? And AJ Styles is continuing his feud with Jinder Mahal. Most people want AJ to be the champ, but where does Jinder fit in now that he’s on the outs with his henchmen the Singh Brothers? All that, plus a look at the Riott Squad and Absolution, another spotlight on the Velveteen Dream and a requiem for the Hype Bros. after they got bludgeoned by the Brothers of the Bludgeoning. Main Event Matt Hardy’s broken universe may finally be making a comeback! But has the window of excitement closed for the concept? What does a WWE version of the broken gimmick look like? And is there anything else in WWE that they could draw their inspiration from in the recreation of the hottest concept of 2016? Three Count Danielle put over Nia Jax's response to the body-shaming she's had to deal with. Julian put over WWE's 365 on Kevin Owens. Hal put over the latest episode of the Fashion Files. After that, we get into the show... Unfortunately one of our hosts is missing this week as A.J. Francis finally...has...a...job! But we soldier on without him (mostly) as MCW's Shawn Credle hops in his chair this week. In Segment One we recap Smackdown-including a great heel promo from Sami Zayn, what to make of Jinder/Brock and...gulp...the Fashion Files weren't that great this time. In Segment 2 (37:06) we make our picks for this weekend's TLC event. Will Enzo reclaim the cruiserweight title? Do The Shield handle their business in their first match back? Does Mickie James stun Alexa and win the women's title? In Segment 3 (58:02)-speaking of women's champions, we're joined by one of the all-time greats, Melina. She's back with MCW this weekend and November 10. What does she think of the state of women's wrestling right now? Is the WWE Hall of Fame important to her? How can we make an MNM reunion happen? After that, the boys jump into the quick count-discussing Jimmy Jacobs' firing, Nia Jax's apparent departure and Austin Aries claiming he's making more money than in WWE. And before we wrap up, A.J. sneaks in to offer his TLC picks too.

If the last week of programming has taught us anything, there are no good people in the WWE right now, but at least we have the Fashion Files. The Slambros, Boman12L and Illa YC, return for the 33rd / 38th episode and reflect on the current WWE product or what some would describe as lack of product. SummerSlam is only a few weeks away but plans have changed because of injuries to a few key superstars. If the dirt sheets are correct, it would appear Enzo really is an unpopular character backstage. Plus, the latest episode in our longest running drama series – ¡Las Aventuras de Alberto El Patrón y sus Amigos! While both main brand shows have been solid--often filled with one or two good matches-- not much has been memorable with the build to this year’s SummerSlam. As good as they have been, it's saying a lot when a Fashion Files segment is the best things on a two hour show. Much of that is the result of booking changes and poor executions of stories. Still, the Slambros work through it and have recaps for RAW and Smackdown Live inside. If you're looking for awkward Titantron conversations via FaceTime, you've come to the wrong place. If you want to hear about all the past week's WWE shows, we've got you covered. We joined Rhyno for some cheese and crackers during our RAW coverage, and tried to make sense of where Dean Ambrose is going as a character. We discuss the Fashion Files, Mojo Rawley, and LITTLE JJ on Smackdown LIVE. Then give some quick predictions for MONEY IN THE BANK. John then quickly runs down 205 LIVE and NXT, because he cares about you all so much. This, plus questions from Facebook!
Was Extreme Rules Extreme enough for you? Did Samoa Joe just become the MVP of WWE? Did Corey Graves already shake the hand of the man who attacked Enzo? Is there anything better than FaBreeze and the Fashion Files? Will WWEShop ever make a t shirt that doesn't give Danielle the uni-boob? The Heel Marks talk Extreme Rules reactions, answer a fan question about gimmick PPV's, and Brady raps Jinder Mahal's theme song. All this plus JinderVeinia is still runnin' Wild on Episode 41 of The Heel Marks!
After an one week vacation theoretically watch the glass break and listen to the Bros B4 Elbows show make their much anticipated return. With the Extreme Rules in the barbed wire distance our attention turns to its fallout as well as the promise of two Money in the Bank ladder matches. The Samoa Joe era, Hardy Boys break-up, give Divas a pass, a deep dive into the Fashion Files and more have a three way dance with all your favorite Bros!!!
Coming off of Extreme Rules, the guys all get together....sort of....to talk about the fallout from Baltimore's PPV. Glenn has his priorities out of whack and joins them for the first half hour before having to return to his newly born son. They talk about Extreme Rules, the good and the bad, before turning their eyes towards Samoa Joe and Great Balls of Fire. Joe is the Samoan Submission Machine again, but how far does that go? Plus, Bayley got booed, and what to do with the Hardys? Plus, mysteries abound at RAW, as the Enzo and Cass's story evolves, and what's going on with Kurt Angle? It's a big weekend in wrestling with Backlash, NXT Takeover and the UK Special, so who better to turn to than Steve Migs to help break down everything happening in Chicago? The first segment has the guys breaking down and predicting every match in the weekend while making a Fashion Files-inspired bet. Could there be a surprise title change at some point this weekend? This week, the team is joined by comedian and podcaster, Hannibal Buress to take a special look at the music of Triple H! From his early WWF days as Hunter Hearst Helmsley to the modern King of Kings, we promise you’ll never hear his music the same way again. Plus, Nation of Conversation will still break down all the news of the week. That includes whether WWE is using Samoa Joe the right way, what we think about Sheamus and Cesaro as the No. 1 contenders for the tag-team championships and why the Fashion Files continue to be the greatest thing in wrestling today. Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford and Mike Eagle. Lindsey Kelk Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.
Yeah, we both liked the House of Horrors match. Don't worry, this is (probably!) still worth listening to. We explain why we enjoyed the glorious trainwreck of Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton's final (surely, right?) encounter, then get into why A.J. Styles and Sami Zayn connect with us more consistently than similarly talented dudes of roughly similar stature like Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. We pay tribute to the last chapter of the JeriKO saga, then take a moment to recognize the brilliance of Breezango and the Fashion Files. All that and Kyle's preview of his upcoming trip to Ring of Honor and New Japan's joint War of the Worlds show in Toronto, featuring Kenny Omega!
Bill and Nick start the show by talking about some of the hot topics from around the world of sports entertainment including: - Billy Corgan purchasing the NWA - The latest WWE Network subscriber count - Braun destroying Roman at Payback - The House of Horrors match - Jinder Mahal's chances against Randy Orton and what could be next for him - WWE announces Great Balls of Fire for July 9th & Brock Lesnar announced as defending WWE Universal Championship - Hulk Hogan saying he would like to join The Bullet Club - The Fashion Files w/ Breezango - More... This episode also includes: - Nuts & Voeltz with Travis taking a look at the top ten tag teams in pro wrestling today - Bill answering questions from the #AskApter mail bag
DC and Doc talk about Payback before getting completely side tracked by theater. Also, other wrestling? And your emails!
WWE Payback is in the books and we have your fallout on FOX Sports! Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns nearly destroy each other, the House of Horrors match left people with plenty of mixed feelings and it gets heated! Plus, Alexa Bliss and Bayley appear to be going in opposite directions while Bray Wyatt has a plan for Finn Balor. On SmackDown Live, Kevin Owens obliterates Chris Jericho and takes back the United States Title, Breezango introduces us to The Fashion Files, and the SmackDown Live women's division is on fire!
On this week's Super J-Cast, Joel and Damon clean shop and discuss the news of New Japan Pro Wrestling including the shows in the UK with Rev Pro, the Cow Palace situation and line-up, Kenny Omega's recent comments and reactions, Fashion Files with David Finley and if Damon is a bear or not. ******Follow us on Twitter in our drive for a Pro Wrestling Tees shop: @thesuperjcast Editor Dan: http://www.youtube.com/219films******Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/super-j-cast/donationsWant to advertise on this podcast?
