This Week The Guys Bring You Johnny K9 - Case 00092 He was a professional wrestler working enhancement matches with #wwe and also had a strong run in Smokey Mountain Wrestling. Ion Croitoru was also known for his history of legal problems. He was a member of Satan's Choice, a biker gang. He was convicted of assault, trafficking cocaine and bombing a police station. In 2005, he was arrested for the murder of lawyer Lynn Gilbank and her husband Fred. After a lengthy investigation, the charges were dropped in June 2006 because of insufficient evidence. He worked as a security guard in Vancouver, British Columbia, until being arrested in May 2009 for conspiracy to murder the Bacon Brothers. Jonathan Barber was killed when the plan went awry, and Croitoru was charged with first-degree murder. He pleaded guilty in July 2013 to conspiracy in exchange for a stay of proceedings on the murder charge. Solomonster reviews the "Bikers, Bombs and Bedlam" episode of Dark Side of the Ring on Johnny K9 a/k/a Brusier Bedlam in Smokey Mountain Wrestling. Includes thoughts on Jim Cornette finding him and wanting to change his name... pinning "Macho Man" Randy Savage in SMW while Savage was still working for WWE... getting involved with organized crime and joining a notorious biker gang... going to prison for his role in bombing a police station and later being charged with a double homicide. This is a wild story and one of the better episodes they've done because you'll learn things you didn't know about the man coming into it.

He explains how he met Jim Cornette and came to be the financial backer of Smokey Mountain Wrestling, why Ric Flair is his favorite wrestler, how he ended up working for Bill Apter, and why he still watches a solid 8 hours of wrestling per week to this day. And of course, Rick talks music! He shares some incredible stories about filming the Hulu docu-series “McCartney 3, 2, 1” with Sir Paul, working in the studio with everyone from AC/DC to the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Black Sabbath, and System of a Down. He remembers the making of “Wildflowers” with Tom Petty, Johnny Cash's reaction to Rick's album proposal, and walking to Electric Lady Studios in New York as a college student to produce The Cult's “Electric” album. Plus, Rick speaks to the conceptual art of music production, the impact technology has made on the process, and the sheer magic of songwriting and chemistry.

Whilst a promotion having their title defended in a different promotion is quite the in thing in 2021, the WWF has rarely been one to loan their gold belts out to other promotions. This week, the LMTYS boys Lorcan (@lorcanmullan) and Simon (@simoncross3) look at one of these rare instances where the recently face-turned Shawn Michaels defends his Intercontinental championship in the Tennessee territory of Smokey Mountain Wrestling, as the promotion's owner and top heel manager Jim Cornette leads his top singles star 'Nature Boy' Buddy Landel in as the challenger. An unusual twist took place in the build-up to this match, as reality became a factor in the match, Landel's personal struggles becoming public knowledge and this match being fought with Landel vowing to not have any heel shenanigans on his part. This episode does a deeper dive on a man Dave Meltzer himself described in his 2015 obituary as "one of the great 'What if's' of professional wrestling
