Stealing isn't just about taking physical objects, but can manifest in various forms in our lives and reflects a lack of honor—both for others and for God. Through kingdom culture, we are invited to live as 'givers' rather than 'takers,' reflecting God's character. It's a call to trust in God's provision and to close any 'footholds' we may have left open for the enemy in our lives. In this Sunday's Manhattan message, David Chan invites us to examine areas where we might be 'stealing' from God, whether through our time, talents, or resources, and to recommit to a life of integrity and trust in God's abundance.

Romans 12:18 reads “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” The enemy is constantly working to lure you into strife. Strife brings division, discord and disunity. Whenever people get into strife it grieves the Holy Spirit. I invite you to join me now for today's message entitled “The Danger of Strife.”
Paul's letter to the church at Ephesus is a plea to do what pleases God. Why? Because of everything God has done for us in Christ Jesus! It's a theme throughout the letter, “Throw off the old life!”...“Don't give into the desires of the flesh!”...”Don't give a foothold to the devil!” Paul is begging them, and us, to give up our own desires, passions, our will and live for Jesus, to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us so that God will be glorified, the gospel will spread, and the kingdom of God will grow! But in order to do what please God, we not only have to know what pleases God, we have to DO what God wants us to do! We HAVE to be obedient to Him and do what He says meaning we have to SUBMIT to Him and His authority!
Rage devours. The division grows and bitterness breaks in. Each offense; a piece of a torn heart. How do we move past the pain? How do we heal? It's time to learn to release. To let go of anger. And learn to be unoffendable.

NOTES: And “don't sin by letting anger control you.” Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27 (NLT) TWO TYPES OF ANGER: Righteous and Unrighteous WHEN THE DEVIL GETS A FOOTHOLD DIVISION DISTRACTION DISCREDIT HOW DO YOU HANDLE OFFENSE FROM THOSE PEOPLE? SEEK to UNDERSTAND - don't rush to judgment. People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness. Proverbs 14:29 (NLT) RESTRAIN your TONGUE- don't spout off. Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:29 (NLT) BOTTOM LINE: OFFENSE is INEVITABLE. Being OFFENDED is a CHOICE. THE CHALLENGE: Pray for THAT person.
