Opening Song: House of God Forever by Page CXVI Lyrics: House of God Forever God is my shepherd I won't be wanting, I won't be wanting He makes me rest In fields of green, with quiet streams Even though I walk Through the valley, of death and dying I will not fear 'Cause You are with me, You are with me Your shepherd's staff comforts me You are my feast in the presence of enemies Surely goodness will follow me, follow me In the house of God forever Passage: David Anointed King of Israel 5 Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, “Behold, we are your bone and flesh. 2 In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. And the Lord said to you, ‘You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince[a] over Israel.'” 3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the Lord, and they anointed David king over Israel. 4 David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. 5 At Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and at Jerusalem he reigned over all Israel and Judah thirty-three years.[b] 9 And David lived in the stronghold and called it the city of David. And David built the city all around from the Millo inward. 10 And David became greater and greater, for the Lord, the God of hosts, was with him. (2 Samuel 5:1-5, 9-10) Musical Reflection: Cantata No. 208 “Sheep may safely graze” by Johann Sebastian Bach Reflection Notes: Gentle flutes contrast with sweeping strings in Bach's famous piece. The music depicts a pastoral scene in which sheep find nourishment and safety. Prayer: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Opening Song: “Can the Dead Rise Up To Praise?” by Bifrost Arts Lyrics: O God of my salvation, do you not hear? My soul is full of trouble and death is near. You sunk me to the bottom among the dead. Your wrath is heavy on me; I have no friend. Can the dead rise up to praise, Sing of mercy from the grave? Is Your faithfulness proclaimed Even in the darkest place? I cry in prayer before You; You hide Your face. Your wrath has overwhelmed me and I can't Escape. Your terrors have destroyed me; they flood the day. All those who ever loved me are far away. Passage: 1 After the death of Saul, when David had returned from striking down the Amalekites, David remained two days in Ziklag. (2 Samuel 1:1) David's Lament for Saul and Jonathan 17 And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and Jonathan his son, 18 and he said it[a] should be taught to the people of Judah; behold, it is written in the Book of Jashar.[b] He said: 19 “Your glory, O Israel, is slain on your high places! How the mighty have fallen! 20 Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Ashkelon, lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised exult. 21 “You mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain upon you, nor fields of offerings![c] For there the shield of the mighty was defiled, the shield of Saul, not anointed with oil. 22 “From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back, and the sword of Saul returned not empty. 23 “Saul and Jonathan, beloved and lovely! In life and in death they were not divided; they were swifter than eagles; they were stronger than lions. 24 “You daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you luxuriously in scarlet, who put ornaments of gold on your apparel. 25 “How the mighty have fallen in the midst of the battle! “Jonathan lies slain on your high places. 26 I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; very pleasant have you been to me; your love to me was extraordinary, surpassing the love of women. 27 “How the mighty have fallen, and the weapons of war perished!” (2 Samuel 1:17-27) Musical Reflection: Suite in D Minor, HWV 437: III. Saraband by G.F. Handel Reflection Notes: Today's classical reflection is a sarabande: a slow, stately dance popular during the Baroque period. The halting stops and starts here conjure up images of a funeral procession, particularly with the string players' heavy emphasis. Amen.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” John 16:1-16 “I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you. “I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?' But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you. “A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.” The Lord's Prayer - The Conclusion What is the Conclusion? For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. What does this mean? This means that I should be certain that these petitions are pleasing to our Father in heaven, and are heard by Him; for He Himself has commanded us to pray in this way and has promised to hear us. Amen, amen means “yes, yes, it shall be so.”
Pastor Josiah and Ethan conclude our series on the Lord's Prayer with its doxology “For Thine is the kingdom...” Why is this part of the prayer not included in many Bibles or quoted in Catholic mass? Why do we say it in our version of the prayer? What truths can we glean from this section of the prayer?

You may have noticed the phrase in Matthew 6:13; [For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.]’, is in brackets. I know you know this, but when we find a New Testament verse or passage in brackets or in some translations included as a footnote, it means said passage is not included in the earlier manuscripts of the New Testament. In this episode, we explore how we should handle passages in later copies of the original Bible scripts, and we discuss the “Fred Theory” of how this passage may have found its way into the older manuscripts. However, it got there; there is nothing unBiblical in ending our prayers with a doxology. "The consideration of these things has long engaged me to attend to this matter, with the utmost diligence and care, and exactness of search and inquiry, that I have been capable of. It is a subject on which my mind has been peculiarly intent, ever since I first entered on the study of divinity. But as to the success of my inquiries it must be left to the judgment of the reader of the following treatise." Be devoted to God's will, for He is our strength in wearisome times. Scripture For Today: 2 Thessalonians 1:11 “With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His calling, and that, by His power, He may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by Faith.” The Lord's Prayer pt 1 Almost everyone is familiar with what is traditionally called, “The Lord's Prayer.” It is in Matthew 6:9-13. What Jesus is saying in these passages of scripture is not, necessarily, a prayer for us to pray word for word. But in it, Jesus gives us some principles in connection WITH prayer that will work for us today. Matthew 6:9-13, “After this manner therefore, pray. Our Father which is in Heaven, Hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread. Forgive us of our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the Glory, forever, Amen.” Some things that people have said about the Lord's Prayer are a little misleading. You see, this prayer is not “The Lord's Prayer” in the sense that Jesus taught this for the Church to pray. Jesus gave this prayer to HIS DISCIPILES to use when they asked Him to teach them how to pray. Certainly, this prayer is not how the New Testament church should be praying. For this is the method Jesus taught His disciples to pray BEFORE His death, burial and resurrection. In other words, Jesus gave this prayer to His disciples to use at a time when they were still, technically, under the Old Covenant. Actually, the Lord's Prayer was given to the disciples as a way to pray during the transition between the fulfillment of the Old Covenant and the beginning of the New Covenant. In that sense, Jesus was giving His followers a way to pray during that interim period between covenants. Jesus' followers had a sort of “promissory note” on their salvation because they believed in Jesus. Amen. Under the Old Covenant, no one asked anything in the Name of Jesus. But, as we have already talked about previously, under the New Covenant, when the Church prays, we are to pray to the Father IN THE NAME of Jesus. There are some things, however, we can learn from the Lord's Prayer. That is what we will be going over, starting today, and running the next few days. First, we need to PRAY TO THE FATHER. Jesus began by saying, “After THIS MANNER…” That indicates a PATTERN. Not a word for word diatribe! I know that steps on the theological toes out there. But get over it. Amen! Don't shout me down when I'm preaching good! We know that everyone is not a child of God. Under the New Covenant, ONLY those who have been born again are considered CHILDREN of GOD. Jesus followers could pray this way, saying “Our Father…” because, as I just said, they basically had a “promissory note” from Jesus that, because they believed in Him, they were going to be born again soon after His resurrection. The unsaved today could pray this prayer all day long, but the only effect would be like someone reciting some poem from memory. It means nothing in their heart. The word “FATHER” is not for the unsaved. It is ONLY for those who have been “born again.” It is ONLY for those who are in the Kingdom of God. A very simple example, would be, let's say one of your friends was the son of a very wealthy and influential billionaire. He invited you to spend the weekend with him at the family estate. There are several sibling of this person and they all refer to their father as “Father.” Not dad. Not daddy. Not Mr. So and So. They call him, “Father.” That is perfectly natural and shows respect and, at the same time, demonstrates they are part of the family. How would it sound, if you, when addressing this same man, called, “Father” instead of “Mr. So and so?” It would seem a little awkward, right? You may even get some quizzical...
A contemplative look at faith. Faith means trusting in: God’s: Wisdom. Goodness. Kind intentions. Mercies. Grace. Truth. Even in all His attributes. The Lord’s Prayer: Hallowed be Thy name, a major aspect of that is. John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease. Thy Kingdom come 2 Corinthians 4: 16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17 For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Thy will be done: 2 Samuel:15:24-26 Now behold, Zadok also came, and all the Levites with him carrying the ark of the covenant of God. And they set down the ark of God, and Abiathar came up until all the people had finished passing from the city. 25 And the king said to Zadok, “Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor in the sight of the LORD, then He will bring me back again, and show me both it and His habitation. 26 “But if He should say thus, ‘I have no delight in you,’ behold, here I am, let Him do to me as seems good to Him.” Give us this day our daily bread: Proverbs 30:7-8 Two things I asked of Thee, Do not refuse me before I die: 8 Keep deception and lies far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion, 9Lest I be full and deny Thee and say, “Who is the LORD?” Or lest I be in want and steal, And profane the name of my God. Forgive our debts: Psalm 51:1-2 Be gracious to me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness; According to the greatness of Thy compassion blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. As we have forgiven others: Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. Lead us not into temptation: Psalm 20:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer. Deliver us from evil: Daniel 3:16-18 Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter. 17 “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 18 “But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.: Revelation 22:12-14 “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. 13 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” 14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city. "The consideration of these things has long engaged me to attend to this matter, with the utmost diligence and care, and exactness of search and inquiry, that I have been capable of. It is a subject on which my mind has been peculiarly intent, ever since I first entered on the study of divinity. But as to the success of my inquiries it must be left to the judgment of the reader of the following treatise." Glory to God in the highest!

We are introduced to what makes Matthew 6:13 troublesome, outline the next few episodes, and learn what a googly is as we examine; Matthew 6:13 'And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.]' The word of God says: God cannot and will never lead anyone into temptation. Men of whom the world was not worthy experienced mockings and scourgings, chains, and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tempted, they were put to death with the sword; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated. The brackets in, [For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.] pose questions as well. Glory to God in the highest! Order of Service: - Prelude - Friday Morning Prayer: P: My dear Father, help me this morning and always that I may worship you in spirit and truth and desire nothing but that which is in accord with Your will. C: Enlighten me with Your Holy Spirit and cleanse my conscience from all dead works that today and always I may serve You in faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ. P: Grant that I may not resist Your grace and turn Your great gift from me. C: Lord, this shall be my glory and my joy to draw from You, as the true fountain of grace, strength and blessing unto every good work. Do not leave me nor forsake me. Amen. - Hymn 377 - Why Should Cross and Trial Grieve Me?: vv. 1-4 - 2 Corinthians 12:7-10: And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. - Devotion - The Lord's Prayer (p. 33): Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Back to Jesus teaches prayer from the Sermon on the Mount and The Lord's Prayer. Not Really the Lord's prayer as in we mindlessly repeat words. God is never moved by a formula or man's pious repetition of His Son our Savior's words. This passage, Matthew 6:9-13 "Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. 10 'Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 11 'Give us this day our daily bread. 12 'And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 'And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.]', contains the principles of prayer Jesus Himself employed during His earthy stay to pay for our redemption. The passage is filled with meaning and implication beyond what we readily see. Give us our daily bread reminds us of our reliance on Him alone for what we need. He is speaking not just of our daily requirement of food, which He is about to promise, when teaching we are not to worry, but to Matthew 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you." Our commitment to God's will to supply everything we need, and to supply it in perfect measure tailored to what is best for us in the purpose of God, can best be seen from GOd's word: Job 31 24 "If I have put my confidence in gold, And called fine gold my trust, 25 If I have gloated because my wealth was great, And because my hand had secured so much; 26 If I have looked at the sun when it shone, Or the moon going in splendor, 27 And my heart became secretly enticed, And my hand threw a kiss from my mouth, 28 That too would have been an iniquity calling for judgment, For I would have denied God above. and… Proverbs 30:7-9 Two things I asked of Thee, Do not refuse me before I die: 8 Keep deception and lies far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion, 9 Lest I be full and deny Thee and say, "Who is the LORD?" Or lest I be in want and steal, And profane the name of my God. The end of our request, "give us this day," is our complete contentment in His supply. Some have said pie in the sky, but next time we will briefly visit George Muller's life and see by faith this life is not only possible in our fallen world but has been done. Praise God! A new year is here, but a new date on the calendar does not guarantee better circumstances in our world. 2021 is not something we can control, but we can trust that God has the world in his hands. Prayer empowers us to flourish no matter the circumstances as it fills us with the presence of God's Spirit. Today's sermon encourages us to allow the Lord's Prayer to guide our prayers, since our prayers are the lifeblood of our faith. THE LORD's PRAYEROur Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. - Devotion - The Lord's Prayer (p. 33): Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Chapin) - Prayer: Almighty God and Father, We thank You for all Your goodness and tender mercies, especially for the gift of Your dear Son, through whom You have revealed Your grace. We pray that You would plant Your Word in our hearts that we may cling to it in faith and bear much fruit in well doing. Let Your blessing rest upon seedtime and harvest, on commerce and industry, on medicine and science; sanctify the arts and culture, the rest and leisure of Your people. Bless all who in their daily calling endeavor to do Your will, and give them assurance that their work is pleasing in Your sight; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one true God, now and forever. Order of Service: - Prelude - Hymn 49 - All Hail the Pow'r of Jesus' Name: vv. 1 & 2 - Mark 8: 14-17: Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them. When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” - Devotion - The Lord's Prayer (p. What has often labeled "The Lord's Prayer" is not a mantra repeated out of rote, but a pattern for the prayers of the saints. Matthew 6:9-13 "Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. 10 'Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 11 'Give us this day our daily bread. 12 'And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 'And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from evil. [For Thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen." To simply pray these verses our of habit or practice can become the vain and mindless words, Jesus warns us about earlier in Matthew's Gospel. These five verses of beautifully simplified for those such as me help fill our communion with our Savior and our God with Worship, Confession, Intercession, and thanksgiving. To God, be the glory. Episode 166 - When we pray, can we make room for miracles? For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory for ever. Amen. (Matthew 6:13
Welcome again to our Wednesday Night Hour Of Power Prayer. It is where and when our Prayer Warriors and Intercessors come together and in great detail, orderly and in after the manner in which Jesus Christ taught His Disciples to Prayer according Your Word Lord in the Book of Matthew 6:10-15 kjv. The is calling us to pray in addition to our regular prayer a special prayer for His People to Be Thankful to Him? Especially during this Coronavirus Pandemic. Pray we answer His call for our Public Expressing of Praise to Him! He wants His people to pray that there will a Public Acknowledgement of Him by everything that has breath! To be effective in our prayer lives so God is honored and pleased by our prayers, we need to fulfill certain Christian "responsibilities". In this second lesson on the Lord's "Perfect Prayer Pattern" from His "Sermon on the Mount". Whereas the first three petitions of the Lord's prayer pattern dealt with exalting God, His name, His Kingdom, and His will, the last three petitions (6:11-13) have to do with us (the believers). We discuss these petitions under the headings of (1) or present provision, (2) for past pardon, and (3) for future protection (from temptation and evil). We also discuss the closing doxology of the prayer ("For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen"), as well as the postscript on the subject of forgiveness found in verses 14 and 15. That postscript has upset a lot of Christians over the centuries, for they think Jesus was saying a person's savlational forgiveness is conditional upon his own forgiveness of others. That is not what He was teaching, and we explain the meaning of those verses in this lesson.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. What does this mean? This means that I should be certain that these petitions are pleasing to our Father in heaven, and are heard by Him; for He Himself has commanded us to pray in this way and has promised to hear us. Amen, amen means “yes, yes, it shall be so.” ~~ Sermon by Pastor Ernie Jeong at Faith Lutheran Church. "For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen."The doxology to the Lord's Prayer occurs in only a few manuscripts but yet has some profound Biblical roots helping us to see the rule and reign of Christ in our lives and throughout the world. What does this mean for the church? What does this mean for us? What does this mean for you?
Courtesy of Brother Aaron Thomas Hymn 215 Inspirer of the ancient seers, Who wrote from the Thee the sacred page, A light for all succeeding years; A lamp in this degenerate age, Wisdom to us Thy words impart, And with Thy comfort fill our heart. And now Thine oracles we read, With earnest prayer and strong desire, More richly on Thy words to feed, More strongly catch their living fire; Our weakness help, our darkness chase, And shine upon us with Thy face. Whenever in error’s path we rove, The living way, through sin, forsake, Our conscience let Thy word reprove, Convince and bring Thy wanderers back, Deep wounded by the Spirit’s sword, And then by Gilead’s balm restored. Anthem 20 Worthy the Lamb that was slain, to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and honour, and glory and blessing, for Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and honour, and glory and blessing, For Thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood, and hast made us kings and priests. (A priestly kingdom) Worthy the Lamb, blessing and honour, and glory, and power to Him that sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb for ever, and to the Lamb for ever. Anthem 5 Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever and ever, Amen. Hymn 101 (new book) Lord of all being, throned afar, Thy glory flames from sun and star; Centre and soul of every sphere, Yet to each seeking heart how near! Sun of our life, Thy quickening ray, Sheds on our path the glow of day; Star of our hope, Thy softened light, Cheers the long watches of night. Our midnight is Thy smile withdrawn, Our noontide is Thy gracious dawn, Our rainbow arch, Thy mercy’s sign; All, save the clouds of sin, are Thine. Lord of all life, below, above, Whose light is truth, whose warmth is love; Before Thy ever glorious throne We ask no lustre of our own. Grant us Thy truth to make us free, And kindling hearts that burn for Thee; Lit by Thy word with heavenly flame, Whose glow shall glorify Thy name.
2019-7-21 - Teach us to pray - For Thine is the Kingdom, Power & Glory - (Dan Mitchum)
"For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen." Scripture includes a number of "doxologies" like this in prayer and praise to God in both the Old and New Testament. What does it mean and why is included with the Lord's Prayer?
What do we need to know about this “doxology”? The post For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, Forever. Amen. appeared first on DayBreak Community Church.
In the first hour, host Michael Wilde began by visiting with Todd Tobin about a program that’s helping lead other men and women back to their faith and how there’s one common denominator that triggers the curiosity to pursue Jesus and His Church. It was then time for your questions for Fr. Kurt Farrell of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester during our "Straight Talk" segment. Listeners asked questions on topics including: if you can be Catholic and a Democrat and why Catholics don't say "For Thine is the kingdom, power, and glory."

Leddy Hammock Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Divine Mind, expressing as infinite Wisdom, Your name is Love. Amen, and so it is. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. As in spiritual consciousness, so also let it be in my world. Amen, and so it is. Give us this day our daily bread. We are receptive right here and now to unlimited good. Amen, and so it is. Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. We release all others from any thought of limitation and we, also, are free. Amen, and so it is. Leave us not in temptation, but deliver us from error. You would not lead us into temptation, for Your grace delivers us from mistakes and the results of mistakes. Amen, and so it is. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. You are the Good Shepherd, and we dwell forever safely in Your Presence. Amen, and so it is.

Mathew 6:5-135 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret; and thy Father who seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions as the heathen do, for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.8 Be not ye therefore like unto them, for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask Him.9 In this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name.10 Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.11 Give us this day our daily bread.12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory for ever. Amen. God is always willing to hear your most inner thoughts and burdens.Prayer is the divine communion with our heavenly father.Prayer should be marked by sincerity and simplicity. We need to address to whom we are talking. We are praying to God so, we pray to God.How are you making God’s name holy whenever others are around? In terrifying circumstances, are you looking for a way out or are you showing people a way out?Do your peers see Jesus living in you? Before we ask God for something we need to give him some adoration.Talk to God sometimes, don’t just use Him as a credit card. Our prayers and requests need to come from our heart.Godly contentment is to have food in our belly and clothes on our back.God forgives our sins by Christ’s salvation not by our forgiveness of others. If we confess our sins, God is faithful to forgive us from them.We should ask God every day to deliver us from evil and temptations.Prayer is the vision of the beliver
The Connection Series. Step 8a. Thou shalt not steal (KJV). I talk about different ways of stealing and want us all to consider if we are doing right in different situations. The connection to the Lord's Prayer will be made next week in Step 8b- "For Thine is the Kingdom."
