What is God like? How is a person to know God? Is it possible? Yes, knowing God is a gift that was given to us. God made sure that He could be known by sending Jesus.

When we think of generosity, we often think of giving money freely, randomly, exuberantly, and at no real cost to our livelihood. Many are paralyzed by this definition, using it as an excuse to hold tightly to their finances until they can "afford" to give. Yet, living generously is not solely about money. First and foremost, it is about the heart. In today's devotional, Dr. Michael Youssef explains the concept of “heart giving.” If you would like more insight into today's devotional topic, listen to Dr. Michael Youssef's sermon Living Generously, Part 1: WATCH NOW | LISTEN NOWIf you enjoy listening to the MY Devotional podcast, would you consider partnering with us to proclaim the hope of Christ to a world in darkness by giving a year-end gift? We tend to look upon the Christ-child as a helpless babe. But even as a baby, Jesus was Mighty God. Throughout His earthly life, Jesus demonstrated the power of God just as He did from heaven. I pray that like me, your 2024 Advent celebration is increasing your joy in our LORD, and raising your anticipation of HIS certain 2nd Coming. Just thinking about that washes the heaviness in my heart away and resets my mind to a place of great peace. I hope you're having similar experiences. This Sunday, in our Christmas Teaching series entitled NO OTHER NAME, we look at the next name that Isaiah 9:6 says, JESUS shall be called. That name is MIGHTY GOD! Part of the “Good News for all people” that the Angels declared to the shepherds that first Christmas night, is that our Savior, who was born in a stable, truly is THE MIGHTY GOD! After His resurrection, shortly before His ascension, JESUS would say; “All power in heaven and on earth is given to Me.” (Matthew 28:18) His name MIGHTY GOD means He longs to use that power on your behalf. I invite you to engage with this message, as we see how Christmas is not just about a baby born in a manger, but about the coming of THE MIGHTY GOD whose heart is for you! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Pastor Joe Still
We look at Isaiah 9:2-7 again this week, focusing on Jesus being Mighty God. Sean asks the same questions as last week. What does it mean for Jesus to be mighty God; How is Jesus Mighty God; What does that mean for us?
When Jesus comes into the world, he promises to come as a “mighty God” — as someone who comes with real power. In this sermon, we look at what it means for Jesus to offer us His power in the midst of our daily lives. Key Verses: Isaiah 9:6

Peace with God | December 8, 2024War Cry Week 2Message by CJ Biggs [High School Students & Young Adults Minister]
In Hebrews 1:1-14 the author compares the greatness of Christ to the angels. He proclaims that Christ is far greater than the angels because he is the Son of God. As the Son of God, Christ is fully equal to the Father. He is of the same substance, the same essence, being eternal, self-sufficient, immutable, immense, and incomprehensible in his greatness. This is the God we serve. This is our Savior: Christ, both fully God and fully man.

This refers to none other than Jesus Christ who has built the true house for God in the incarnation and by building up the church with living stones, and who will build the new heavens and the new earth as the ultimate house wherein God will dwell with man forever.
