Avdija talks Israel after NBA ASG, Maccabi downs Jerusalem in State Cup
E o Ja? Tinham certeza que estaria fora do time. No final, saiu todo mundo e ele ficou. Ajudou o time a bater o Real Madrid.

The home secretary has said she has lost confidence in West Midlands Police Chief Constable Craig Guildford, after a "damning" report into the decision to ban Israeli football fans from a match with Aston Villa last year. Shabana Mahmood said the report from Sir Andy Cooke, the chief inspector of constabulary, identified widespread failings at the force. But how did we get here? What did this case teach us about the way policing and politics interact? And after yet another scandal, what next for the police? This podcast was brought to you thanks to the support of readers of The Times and The Sunday Times. West Midlands Police stand accused of lying in order to justify the decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from a Europa League game against Aston Villa at Villa Park in November. The force had cited concerns over potential violence in their initial decision, but it has now emerged that members of the local Muslim community in Aston were preparing to arm themselves if Maccabi fans had come to the game.Jewish broadcaster and Aston Villa fan Jonny Gould tells Camilla and Tim that Craig Guildford, the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police, should resign after a “monstrous” decision that “victim-blamed” Israeli fans.Camilla and Tim also reflect on the news that the Met Police managed to allow an accused child rapist allowed into the force because he ticked a diversity box.We want to hear from you! א' השיחות, בדר"ח טבת, ז' דחנוכה, אחרי תפלת מנחה, ה'תשל"ח – בבית הכנסת – לתלמידי כתות הראשונות דהישיבות ולתלמידי של"ה שיחיו ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=21-12-2025 Synopsis One of the lessons from Chanukah is that although Jewish children may be “few” and “weak” compared to the gentile children of the world, that applies only to the body. But because every Jewish child possesses a soul that is “a portion of Hashem from above,” Hashem “delivers the mighty into the hands of the weak…” meaning, not only do the nations of the world have no influence over a Jewish child's behavior, but on the contrary, they learn from the Jewish child how to behave with justice and integrity. Mattisyahu and his sons were not deterred by the “mighty” and the “many” who sought “to make them forget Your Torah and transgress the decrees of Your will,” and they went out to fight against them, holding banners inscribed with the word “Maccabi” (an acronym for “Who is like You among the mighty ones, Hashem”), and with that strength they were victorious and saw “great salvation.” Today, we no longer face such harsh tests. Instead, the challenge is to stand with mesiras nefesh against the yetzer hara who tries “to make them forget Your Torah” by getting them to waste time on games etc., and “to make them transgress the decrees of Your will” by not being so careful about kashrus etc. But they are shown “Your miracles,” “Your wonders,” and “Your salvations,” and they successfully defeat the yetzer hara.Sichah of 1 Teves, 7th day of Chanukah 5738, after Mincha – Chanukah children's rally For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=21-12-2025 לע”נ רחל בת ר' מרדכי הירש ע"ה ליום היארצייט שלה א' טבת. ת.נ.צ.ב.ה.

https://thecommunists.org/2025/10/25/news/maccabi-hooligans-do-not-speak-for-jews/ With its shameful response to the Maccabi fans ban, the British government is exploiting jewish suffering to protect itself, not protecting jewish people. Every day more British workers are waking up to the way that accusations of ‘antisemitism' have been weaponised in order to justify the relentless spreading of islamophobia and to whitewash zionist (and British) war crimes. All in the interests of Anglo-American imperialist interests in the middle east and against the interests of jewish (and all other) workers. Reproduced from Tribune magazine with thanks. Subscribe! This is a free preview of a paid episode. To hear more, visit zeteo.comThis past week, Trump took his crusade against the free press all the way across the pond, threatening the BBC with a $1 billion lawsuit over an edit of his Jan. 6 speech. “Not only are they [the Trump administration] reshaping the media landscape in the US in their image – they're now boasting of taking down a foreign news broadcasters' leadership. A broadcast, of course, with global reach,” Owen says to Mehdi. In this episode of ‘Two Outspoken,' Mehdi and Owen meet in London to explain why the BBC is only helping Trump by “rolling over” and having their executives resign over the scandal. They also debunk claims of the BBC's leftist and pro-Palestine bias – revealing that it's actually the other way around. The two dive deep into the Labour government's dishonest portrayal of the Maccabi fan ban in Birmingham – which police have now confirmed was put in place due to “significant levels of hooliganism” from the fan base, rather than antisemitic threats from inside the UK.“Keir Starmer and Lisa Nandy, the British government, as well as the British media, decided to throw Birmingham under a bus…to protect racist football hooligans from a state committing genocide,” Owen says to Mehdi.Mehdi and Owen also expose just how pro-Palestine some in Keir Starmer's cabinet used to be, with Mehdi telling Owen that they, “threw their own views under the bus for power.”Paid subscribers can watch the full interview. In the Middle East, a fragile Gaza ceasefire leaves Hamas fighters trapped in Rafah tunnels, with Rabbi Pesach Wolicki questioning the ceasefire's durability and Netanyahu rejecting a state inquiry regarding October 7. Across the Atlantic, the episode examines antisemitism in the UK — an NHS physician continues to treat patients despite repeated antisemitic outbursts, and Aston Villa's ban on Israeli fans during a match against Maccabi sparks outrage as protesters chant. Back in the U.S., authorities successfully thwarted jihad-inspired terror plots targeting Jewish communities in Michigan and New Jersey, underscoring the growing urgency of vigilance and communal security. They start by analysing the strategic importance of an alliance with Israel to the US by dissecting the Realist and Neo-conservative cases. Jane and Jason revisit the controversy of Maccabi Tel Aviv fans being banned from Birmingham by delving into the intersection of football and politics and the difference of fan culture in the US and UK. After the break, Jane and Jason tackle the questions: do sanctions on Russia go far enough? Could there be sanctions against the Kaliningrad exclave? Are we closer to nuclear war with Russia since the drone strikes? Why are we normalising Trump's White House renovations? And as they Order the Disorder: we return as always to the need for a mega ordering club of democracies, how we decide on a common set of European values, and if the Ave Europe charity is on the right track. Even though the Toronto Blue Jays traded away Spencer Horwitz, their only recent Jewish player, there are still multiple Hebraic angles that our Jewish sports podcasters are celebrating as the team charges into the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers this week. The father-son team of Dan and Ben Shulman will be calling the Jays' broadcasts; macher Mark Shapiro sits as team president and CEO; two of the biggest celebrity fans include Eugene Levy and Geddy Lee; and at least two rabbis—one in Toronto, the other in L.A.—have engaged in a friendly wager over the outcome. Menschwarmers co-hosts Gabe Pulver and James Hirsh dig into all this as the two lifelong Jays fans get ready for Game 1 on Friday night. After that, Gabe sits down with soccer journalist and broadcaster David Gass (co-host of the Kickback Committee podcast), who explains all the chaos of the last week involving Israeli soccer teams, including Birmingham's decision to ban fans of the Maccabi Tel Aviv team and a subsequent called-off match between Maccabi and Hapoel Tel Aviv.
