In today's episode, we are discussing one of the most notorious family murders in Canada. Jeremy Steinke, a 23-year-old who claimed to be a 300-year-old werewolf, and a 12-year-old girl, Jasmine Richardson, met online and started dating. From there, their sick and twisted whirlwind romance “love” story led the two of them to commit the grisly and heinous murders of 3 innocent victims. In 2006 the small city of Medicine Hat was horrified by the senseless death of three loving family members. Jeremy Steinke and 12-year-old Jasmine Richardson murdered Jasmine's family, all in an attempt to emulate their favorite movie, 'Natural Born Killers', and prove their love for one another. A deep dig into their motives left many to question which dirtbag was the master manipulator of the duo. 12-year-old Jasmine Richardson had always been a great kid. She started to get into the goth scene at school and hanging out with much older kids such as 23-year-old Jeremy Steinke. The two would meet at the mall and talk over social media and finally became a couple. Although, this was not okay with Jasmine's parents because of their age difference. Jasmine had been grounded multiple times for hanging out with Jeremy and failing to take care of her little brother. This is when Jeremy and Jasmine decided they would only be happy if her parents were not around anymore.

Today we're welcoming Eliza Robertson back for her third time on the show - she was here as part of Kosmic Tonic with Jasmine Richardson in 2020 when we discussed the key transits that would affect the second half of that wild year, and she was here again in 2022 talking about Writing with the Stars and Magic with the Muses. Clearly, she's a favourite conversation partner of mine and I'm delighted that she's the one to shepherd us through the gate as we begin a 7 part miniseries on Planetary Magic and Propitiation for the days of the week! Since about the time Eliza first appeared on the show in 2020, I have been taking a closer look at AstroMagic and paying more attention to cultivating relationships with the planets that rule the days of the week. I find it grounding, centering, resourcing and supportive. Over the next seven episodes we'll go deeper into relationship with each planet that rules that day of the week, beginning with Sunday and moving through the week to Saturday. Violently stabbed to death in their own home, the bodies of Debra and Marc Richardson showed the signs of an almighty struggle. The body of their eight-year-old son Tyler Jacob was upstairs, and their twelve-year-old daughter Jasmine was missing. It all suggested a brutal home invasion, with Jasmine's abduction as the motive. Yet the narrative the police unwound was more confusing, disturbing – and downright cringe-worthy – than anything they could have imagined. This was the ‘love story' of a ‘rawr'cous, side-fringed, goth girl and her three-hundred-year-old werewolf boyfriend. In this bonus, we do something a bit different. We walk through two different cases, one of nature and one of nurture when it comes to kids who kill. Jesse Pomeroy is the United States youngest serial killer, at only 11-years-old. Jasmine Richardson brutally murdered her entire family at only 12-years-old after being groomed by her 23-year-old boyfriend. Two very different circumstances, but both children who committed multiple murders. The Richardson Family seemed like the perfect family. Living in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, Marc and Debra had two children, Jasmine and Jacob. Marc and Debra and seemed like loving and involved parents, concerned with their children's wellbeing. Jasmine was a great kid until she started diving into the darker side of the internet and getting into the "Goth" lifestyle. On the internet is where she met 23-year-old Jeremy Steinke, and she fell madly in love. Her parents didn't approve--mostly because Jasmine was TWELVE YEARS OLD when she met Jeremy. Upset her parents were imposing rules and trying to prevent her from seeing Jeremy, the pair decided to emulate the characters in their favorite movie--"Natural Born Killer" and murder their way into having a relationship no one could break. That is, except for law enforcement.SOURCES:1) The risks of earlier puberty (apa.org) "The Risks of Earlier Puberty"2) Jasmine Richardson, Jeremy Steinke, and the Richardson Family Murders - The CrimeWire " Jasmine Richardson, Jeremy Steinke, and the Richardson Family Murders"3) Jasmine Richardson now — Her attempt at a normal life after completing her sentence - OkayBliss " Jasmine Richardson now — Her attempt at a normal life after completing her sentence" Runaway Devil: How Forbidden Love Drove a 12-Year-Old to Murder Her Family Book by Robert Remington and Sherri Zickefoose4) The Chilling Story Of Jasmine Richardson And The Murder Of Her Family (allthatsinteresting.com) " Jasmine Richardson Killed Her Family With Her “Werewolf” Boyfriend — Now She's Walking Free"

Ooooof. This is a tough topic! Most children are so innocent, so sweet, so cute... and then, there are these kids. To be fair, most of these cases are kids that never had a fair shot at a happy life, but in some instances, these kids are pure evil. We have a famous Canadian case, an extremely mysterious whodunnit, horrific tales of abuse, and much, much more. So tune in, and try not to cry like Cindy did (though if you do we obviously won't blame you!)Check out our website! www.twistedlisterpod.comBrought to you by Podmoth Media Network podmoth.networkJoin us on Patreon: www.patreon.com/twistedlistersFollow us on Instagram: @twistedlisterspcastTiktok: @twistedlistersWant to start a podcast? First and foremost, this is a long episode, but I promise you won't want to miss this. So, grab your loaded tea (maybe a splash of extra caffeine) and let's get into it. This case involves: werewolves, vampire freaks, an 11 year old, vials of blood, and murder! This is the case of Jasmine Richardson, 11 years old and her "boyfriend" Jeremy Steinke, 23 years old (and yes you read that right). This deadly duo, plotted and murdered Jasmine's entire family in the dead of the night with no remorse, because they felt they were being forced apart. Jasmine became the youngest person in Canada history to be charged with triple homicide. This is sad, and a little uncomfortable to discuss but, we hope you listen as we get into a case that rocked my world and a plot twist that will leave you angry and confused.
