"You may be surprised what's happening in your backyard if you start peeling back the layers."Alexia and Jason Preston are hosts of the Utah-based podcast, “We Are The People.” They've been exploring how institutions like the Chinese Communist Party, the World Economic Forum, and the United Nations have been influencing local politicians and policy for decades."It's really not to see what people want. It's how to get the programs they want passed through, so then they can bring it to legislators and say, ‘Well, 98 percent of the community wants walkable communities, so they want smart cities.' So, they're shifting perspective in that way and shaping perspective," says Ms. Preston. "You're seeing programs roll out in a way that it is really testing the public to see just how much will be allowed to roll out in Utah.""We need to stop. We need to look at where we're heading as a nation, where we're heading as states," says Mr. Preston. "Is this technology that can be used for good or bad—is this going to lead our children towards a safer future? Or is this potentially going to lead them to a future like China?"Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and the guest, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

Rob and Shap deal with the fallout from all the discussion revolving around Jrue Holiday that wound up in LAC losing out in a bidding war to the Boston Celtics. What's left for the Clips to upgrade, or are they in a waiting game? What about Malcolm Brogdon who's the next guard that may be flipped? Plus the guys talk about the waiving of Jason Preston and the controversial Josh Primo 2way signing.
Rob and Shap kick off the Player Preview series talking about Norman Powell, Amir Coffey, and a bunch of young Clipper guards, including the exciting Bones Hyland. The guys think about what Norm's role could be as a Clipper, assuming he stays a Clipper, and the upside for a guy like Bones Hyland. The duo also look at the edges of the roster when thinking about Amir and BBJR, and wonder if they've seen Jason Preston's last game with the Clippers.
Lucas, Rob, and Shap chat about the latest James Harden rumors, but also thought about alternatives to Harden in Zach Lavine and Pascal Siakam. The guys then talk about the decision to extend Jason Preston's contract guarantee date to October 1st, before giving some more thoughts on Summer League performances.
Shap, Justin (@laclippersfilm), and Jamal (@JamCristopher) get together to talk about the continued James Harden impasse, Offseason returns, and Summer League. The guys talk about the seemingly impending Harden addition, wax poetic about the needs brought by KJ Martin, before wrapping up with some final takeaways from Summer League, particularly on the impressive Kobe Brown and not so impressive Jason Preston.
The LA Clippers got their 2nd straight win in the 2023 NBA Summer League with an 83-74 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Despite the early dominance of Kenneth Lofton Jr. of Memphis, the Moussa Diabate-less Los Angeles Clippers held strong defensively throughout the game. In this episode, die hard LA Clippers Fan and Host Darian Vaziri talks about what he thinks the main reason the Clippers have won 2 in a row. Then he talks about the performances of Xavier Moon and Jason Preston. In the end, he talks about the rookies, Kobe Brown and Jordan Miller. He also briefly alludes to Ty Lue's mid-game interview. The LA Clippers opened up their 2023 NBA Summer League campaign against the Utah Jazz. Only Jason Preston, Moussa Diabate, & Xavier Moon played actual minutes in the regular season last year and they all started in the opener. The Los Angeles Clippers would fall 99-105 but it wasn't without some eye catching performances. In this episode, die hard LA Clippers fan and Host Darian Vaziri breaks down the game and talks about why Jason Preston is the 2nd best passer on the team with the double double. He also assessed Moussa Diabate's performances on both ends. In the end, he also talked about Xavier Moon and his late game surge, as well as the 2 Clipper rookies, Kobe Brown and Jordan Miller. Lucas, Rob, and Shap get together to talk a little about the return of Mason Plumlee on a nice 1 year 5 million dollar deal. After that, the guys dive into the Summer League Roster with games just days away, ranging from recent Clipper draftees like Kobe Brown, Jordan Miller, Moussa Diabate, and Jason Preston to standout international players like Matt Morgan.
Lucas, Rob, and Shap get together to talk a bit about those continued Paul George rumors, and where we are on his future with the Clippers. The guys also talk about Option deadlines involving Eric Gordon, Brandon Boston Jr, and Jason Preston, and how minute allocation and the mentality behind it has affected these players and players beyond it.
The LA Clippers aren't necessarily known as a team with a ton of young talent but there are some pieces with potential deep within the depths of the bench. With one of the flaws in the aging Clippers being that they were one of the slower, more unathletic teams in the league, could any of these young players actually be a mainstay in the rotation in the 2023-24 season? That's assuming the Los Angeles Clippers run it back like they say they're going to. In this episode, die hard Clipper Fan and Host Darian Vaziri discusses 4 players and if he thinks they can and should get into the rotation next season. He starts with Brandon Boston, then examines the game of the Brewmaster, Amir Coffey, and ends with Moussa Diabate and Jason Preston.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!BirddogsGo to birddogs.com/lockedonnba and when you enter promo code, LOCKEDONNBA, they'll throw in a free custom birddogs Yeti-style tumbler with every order.eBay MotorsFor parts that fit, head to eBay Motors and look for the green check. Rob and Shap are talking about Clippers basketball again! The duo talk about whatever takeaways they could get from LAC's win in what felt like a pickup game. Do we take much from Moses Brown's night? How sad are we that Amir Coffey might actually not be in the rotation? What about Jason Preston's night?
Rob & Shap can feel hoops around the corner, so the duo is starting their Player Preview Series, starting with Point Guards as well as the team's Designated Shooter. The guys talk about expectations from the 1 spot, highlighting Jason Preston, Terance Mann, John Wall, & Reggie Jackson, and they find some time to talk about shooting sniper Luke Kennard.
Lucas, Rob, and Shap get together with some thoughts on the last game of Summer League as well as Summer League as a whole. What did the guys think about Brandon Boston Jr. & Jason Preston and if that duo made strides in their games? What about newcomer Moussa Diabate? Did any of the other Clippers pop out as guys to watch for training camp?
Will, Chuck, and Adam talk the Summer League play of Brandon Boston Jr., Moussa Diabate, Jason Preston, and Jay Scrubb plus John Wall's contract details and Noah Eagle stops by to talk all things Clippers!
Shap, Justin (@laclippersfilm), & Jamal (@JamCristopher) discuss another Clippers loss to the Nuggets 80-75 in a game that did not even feel as close as the final score. The team could not score efficiently, but more importantly, the guys take some deep dives into what they've seen from notable players. How are Brandon Boston Jr. and Jason Preston fairing? How impressive has Moussa Diabate looked? Are any of the Exhibit 10 guys impressing? Plus in the last segment, the debut of "Describe One Play" with Justin leading a Jason Preston play breakdown giving a peek at how good Preston is in the scheme of the offense.
Rob is joined by Cole Huff and first time guest Francis (Twitter handle beenthrifty) to discuss the Clippers' selection of Moussa Diabate with the 43rd pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. The trio then examine the Clippers' three Exhibit 10 signings - Lucas Williamson, Michael Devoe, and Justin Bean. Finally, they talk about Brandon Boston Jr and Jason Preston and what to expect for them at 2022 Summer League.
Rob and Shap wrap up the Exit Interview series with the high usage and mercurial Marcus Morris Sr., flash in the pan Justise Winslow, and inactive guys Jason Preston and Kawhi Leonard. The guys give some takes on the new Kendrick Lamar to start the pod, too.

In this inspiring episode, Courtenay and Jason discuss the restoration of hope through empowered personal responsibility and action-taking. During a time that feels extremely defeating as censorship expands, the debate is silenced, and power feels like it's heavily delegated to corrupt politicians, Jason reminds us that the power always belongs to the people. Now, more so than ever, is the time to push fear aside and take a stand by getting involved. Jason is a Utah native, successful entrepreneur, husband, and father of two daughters. Never one to turn down a challenge, he's committed to protecting the Constitution during this critical time in history. In pursuit of doing his part, Jason is running for Utah's 3rd Congressional District with the mission of putting the power back into the hands of the people. Another week gone by, another week closer to football. Happy Friday folks! Camps around the conference opened this week, and we know everyone out there in MAC country is excited for a full football season after last years abbreviated slate. In the news this week, Zach and Steve discuss Ohio's Jason Preston being drafted 33rd overall in last weeks NBA Draft. Originally chosen by the Magic, Preston's rights were traded to the LA Clippers. Preston will begin his professional career this weekend as a member of the Clippers Las Vegas Summer League team. Best of luck out west, Jason! In the B block, the boys kick off their weekly previews by taking a look at the Central Michigan Chippewas. After a surprise MAC Championship Game appearance in 2019, the Chips look to bounce back after last years strange 3-3 finish. Zach and Steve discuss the quarterback situation, the deep running back room, and the veteran offensive line. On the defensive side of the ball, we ask: will CMU be able to stop anybody through the air? That could be the question that determines their season. Moving our focus east to Athens, Zach and Steve take a look at the Ohio Bobcats. Obviously, the biggest storyline here is replacing the legendary Frank Solich on the sidelines. Longtime offensive coordinator Tim Albin takes the reins for the Bobcats, and he has a deep, talented roster to work with on offense. The boys discuss the strength of the running back's and the offensive line (sound familiar?) while also taking a look at what Ohio has to offer on the defensive side of the ball. After only playing three games last year, there are a lot of question marks surrounding this team. As always, thanks for stopping by folks. Have a great weekend, and we'll talk to you again next week! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Coach Kyle Barlow's Story: In this episode, you'll hear from Kyle Barlow. Kyle is currently an assistant coach for Jeff Boals at Ohio University. Kyle's story is an inspiration for any coach at the Non D1 level. Kyle was a standout player at Concordia University in Ann Arbor and then started his coaching career at Concordia. From Concordia, Kyle was a graduate assistant for Coach Beilein at Michigan. After Michigan, Kyle was both the Director of Operations and Assistant Coach at Toledo. Kyle is a key component of the Ohio basketball coaching staff. As you will hear in this podcast, Kyle is a very positive coach. He does not look at his job as work: “I felt If I got into this profession, I never would have to work a day in my life.” This mindset is very evident in this podcast. Finally, Kyle's appreciation for Coach Boals is so impressive. As you will soon hear, Coach Boals has an amazing ability to connect with his players. Kyle does a sensational job of detailing what it is like to work and play for Coach Boals. This is a terrific behind-the-scenes look at a successful mid-major program and assistant coach who is on the rise! Happy Friday folks! We made it through another week. I know I'm not along when I say the past few days felt a bit empty without basketball on all day long. Speaking of basketball, there was a lot that happened this past week. We're excited to break it all down for you on this weeks podcast! First up, on the men's side of things, the boys discuss the run that the Ohio Bobcats made through the NCAA tournament. OU came out on Saturday night and played one of their best games of the season, knocking off defending national champions Virginia, 62-58. In the Bobcats first round upset, their full fire power was on display, with Jason Preston, Ben Vander Plas and Ben Roderick all putting in great performances. Unfortunately for the Bobcats, they couldn't quite recapture the magic in their second round match up, falling to 5th seed Creighton, 72-58. Regardless of that final outcome, it was a heck of a run for the Bobcats, especially considering the 21-day COVID pause that they endured barely a month ago. In the NIT, both Toledo and Buffalo bowed out in the first round, but it wasn't without a fight. Toledo held a halftime lead against Richmond before going cold in the second half, while Buffalo went blow for blow with top seed Colorado State before ultimately falling, 75-73. In the CBI, Bowling Green put a disappointing cap on a disappointing season with a 53-52 loss to the Stetson Hatters. The Falcons held a 15 point lead with under 12 minutes to go. Unfortunately for Bowling Green fans, they weren't able to hold on and ultimately lost in the final minute. On the women's side, Central Michigan ran into a bit of a buzzsaw in the first round of the NCAA tournament, falling to 5th seed Iowa, 87-72. Freshman sensation Caitlin Clark led the way with 23 points for the Hawkeyes, and the Chippewas simply weren't able to keep pace after hanging tough with Iowa for the first quarter. In the WNIT, the results were similar to the men's side of things. Unfortunately for the MAC, both Ohio and Bowling Green lost their first round match up's, with Ohio falling to Clemson and Bowling Green to Creighton. Unlike on the men's side, the WNIT uses a double elimination format, so both squads were able to bounce back and get a win out of the experience. To wrap up the show, the boys break down the post-season awards and all-MAC teams, and give their thoughts on the final selections. We saw this as a nice way to wrap up a great season on the hardwood. Do you have any disagreements on who was selected for the postseason awards? Let us know on Twitter! With next week, we'll start to dive more into the ongoing spring sports, while also looking ahead to football season. As always, thanks for stopping by folks.
