Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Jennifer Bronsnick is a Human Design therapist. I love Human Design and I love what Jennifer is doing in the world. We can't have World Peace without Inner Peace. Jennifer and I tend to say, “Can't we all just love one another?” We both received peace and self-acceptance in understanding our own Human Design. Jennifer had experienced panic attacks and didn't know when enough is enough. HD gave her the reasons why she was seeing the world through a victim mindset and taught her how to embody peacefulness.

There are so many factors that effect our mental health, including our relationships, which actually have the power to disrupt our nervous system. 2. Heart math is a tool we can use to regulate emotions and the nervous system. 3. Anxiety ultimately serves a purpose- to protect us. The first step in managing our anxiety is to get comfortable with it. It's our "safety survival system" 4. Pull out the "worry part", name it and talk back to it- this is a good tool for managing feelings of anxiety (even for adults!) 5. Get curious about your anxiety. When you feel anxious, ask yourself questions like, "how would going for a walk feel?" "what did I eat today?" "how would play feel?" -- let go of the "problem solving" and try to approach it with asking questions instead of the goal of "getting rid" of the feeling 6. Easy tools to start with for managing anxiety: (1) Get more magnesium and potassium either through food or even through baths; (2) Improve sleep quality & amount (3) Limit caffeine & alcohol consumption 7. "You can't cure trauma with cognitive behavioral therapy- you have to access the body"- Jennifer. She suggests incorporating other tools into your journey such as EMDR and/or tapping with a trained practitioner 8. Typically, women tend to "fawn" or "freeze" in the face of anxiety due to the societal conditioning of being a "good girl" --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/curious-women/support

Victoria: Hey everyone, it’s Sensei Victoria Whitfield here, your journey partner in business, welcoming you back to episode 161 of the Journeypreneur Podcast. This is your source for channeled holistic stress management techniques, guidance, inspiration and motivation to stay on your path to rapid financial ascension and massive impact as a conscious entrepreneur. And so in this podcast episode, I get to introduce you to a goddess friend of mine who I've met locally here through Believe Inspire Grow women's networking organization which we absolutely love and support. And her name is Jennifer Bronsnick. She's a licensed clinical social worker and hostess of The Anxiety-Proof Her Podcast, which, I thank you for having me on, Goddess! You are amazing. Jennifer: Thank YOU. Absolutely. Victoria: And her website is JenniferBronsnick.com. Welcome to the podcast, Goddess! Jennifer: And thank you for spelling out my name because I, so many times people just leave out that first "N" in "Bronsnick". So I really, really appreciate you making an effort to do that. Victoria: Absolutely. And I believe in connecting good people. So I want to make sure everyone has like, all the information. Jennifer: Yeah, totally. Yeah. Victoria: So we know each other and we know each other's vision, values. Absolutely. But this may be the very first time that someone is getting to see you, hear of you or encounter elsewhere in the world. So, yeah, if you could, in your own words, could you tell us what exactly is it that you do in your business, and what are the three things that you're known for? Jennifer: Yeah, so I think the core of what I do is to empower and inspire women to love themselves so that they take care of themselves. And they begin to recognize that if they're anxious, if they're depressed because I work with mental health, that those feelings can be powerful messengers. And so it's really this in my work, I see it as awakening women to their power, to their own resilience, to their innate healing abilities and really owning themselves and taking control over the aspects of their lives that they do have control over, because we always have something that we can shift or shake up in our lives. And sometimes it's just finding the courage. And so I am like your BFF, therapist to coach, motivational person, caretaker, because sometimes we just we need someone to be like, "I got you," like "I'm with you here." And so that's really what I do for women, teens, families. Sometimes parents need some handholding if their child is struggling all around. Really anxiety is my my core treatment, the main thing that I'm working with. Victoria: We need you now more than ever. Holy moly, holy moly, I know at the current recording of this podcast episode during this, it's the beginning of 2021. And I can only imagine the demand for your work just has gone straight through the roof. Jennifer: Yeah, for sure. Because people it's almost like now they have permission to reach out. It's like "of course I'm struggling" like, "of course, like, we're all struggling and so now I'm ready to pick up the phone. Now I'm ready to say, 'you know what? I don't want to feel like this anymore.'" Where before maybe it was like, "oh, we'll get better. Some things will change and I'll start to find my energy again or find my spark." And now it's like, "why am I doing this alone?" I go, "why don't I just hire someone to help me? Why don't I invest in myself?" Victoria: And so I'm definitely seeing that, and it's so amazing. And that gets me also curious because, like, what inspired you in the first place to do this? Like, I don't know if it happened in kindergarten when they were like, "so what do you want to be when you grow up?" And you raised your hand, right, with your kiddie shoes on and said, "I want to do social work" - like, what? No. So was it something that happened to inspire you to, like, really to this is your line of work? Jennifer: Yeah. So it's really a dance unfolding. So I didn't mention. So one of the tools I use is called Human Design, and that's based in astrology. And ever since I was a kid, I was obsessed with the moon. Like, I was always like, "wow, like the moon is," you know, "I'm seeing the same moon as someone else I know a couple hours away. And we're all connected with, like, the same energy." So I for a long time wanted to be astrologer. Ok, and then my godmother, Dr. Johnson, is a clinical psychologist. And so I grew up in her home with her family. I volunteered in her office so she would run these groups for kids. And I would volunteer there. And I just saw what she was doing. I saw how she was supporting people and she had her own business and other therapists underneath her. And I was like, that's what I want to do, like I want to be a therapist. -Let's talk about it! Why Are People Reaching Out More? Anxiety is increasing for kids and adults. The way we dealt with these emotions may not be helping in 2020. We discuss a range of ideas to help with Jennifer Bronsnick MSW.Many people dealt with anxiety, depression and hopelessness before the pandemic and of course they still are.The main difference in 2020 covid climate is that many of the constructs they used in the past, just aren't working effectively now. People are now reaching out to friends and professionals more. Learn to Say NO Biggest obstacles to overcome right now is learning to say NO to requests and making sure your mental health is in check so you can be present for others as well. Holidays Are Approaching If you are feeling extra overwhelmed with Christmas and Thanksgiving and kids and work and school and a spouse ARGH! ... ask them what is most important and special to you that we should do for these holidays. Your kids may not care about Elf on the Shelf or your holiday cookies. Great, don't spend your time on them this year. Or maybe you have to have them take the helm on certain activities, festivities, and decorations. MICRO- Self Care Discuss with your company about Flexibility with meetings, deadlines and more.Stop Burnout before it happens, otherwise it takes way more time to recover and heal. Each day do the small things to keep your health strong and mentally relaxed.Set a Time and Day to have those hard conversations with your significant other. Do I go to work, stay home with the kids, work 2 days, I need more help around the house, etc. They say happy Wife, happy Life. Did you know research actually backs that up?You would be shocked at home many people (especially moms) are never actually alone with themselves. Strength, Resiliency, Flexibility and how to get along with people you are around 24 /7 now. Health of Children - they are resilient The belief we have about our kids ability has a big impact on how they handle situations.Model as a parent how to manage our own emotions. Maybe one day is bad adn the next is okay but show them the ways you switch your environment, self talk etc to change your mood. It teaches the kids how to handle things via modeling.Having a routine is important for children including, I have to work, don't interrupt me for 1 hour. Would you be surprised that a pet dog has many reasons to support your mental health. Anxiety Kids - Why? What is it over the past 20 years that has caused kids to have so much anxiety?Would you be shocked that Helicopter Parenting really took over after 9/11? What about the parents who rescue their children and they never have struggle with consequences of actions? Many kids don't know how to do with uncertainty and being uncomfortable and that leads to anxiety as well. With social media you also see children trying to be perfect, what if I fail, what if I try and I'm just not good enough and seeing fake positivity from others.Showing your kids love and support for them being who they are and allowing them to make mistakes and grow from them. Keep your significant other happy by accepting them for who they are and not try to change them. Jennifer Bronsnick is a licensed clinical social worker and also has her Master in it. Personality tests come up frequently in the coaching world; they often provide a great framework for understanding yourself and your clients a bit better, and can inspire you to connect with potential clients in new and different ways. Human design isn’t a personality test per se, but a map of your “energy blueprint” that’s based in part on your birth chart. It sounds a bit out there, but our guest on this episode uses it as an awareness-raising and problem-solving tool with clients, as well as a genius opt-in that helps her attract tons of warm leads. Jennifer Bronsnick is a clinical social worker, human design specialist, and EFT practitioner. She specializes in helping moms recover from burnout and uses human design to help clients better understand their personalities & potential. Jennifer and I discuss creating offerings that resonate with your audience while keeping your message clear, how she decided to start outsourcing work in her business, and her excellent marketing approach. And we touch on how she gets invited to speak in front of other people’s audiences without coming across as competitive or one-sided. Jennifer Bronsnick of The Mindful Family knows what it's like to struggle in motherhood. Mum of three girls, Jennifer suffered post partum depression when her third daughter was born. But Jennifer had a powerful weapon to slay the beast. A positive mindset. An attitude that told her “I know this isn't forever” and “What can I learn from this?” Author of ‘Mindful Mommy: 10 Secrets for Healing your Mind, Body and Spirit after Having a Baby', Jennifer now helps mums turn a challenge into their greatest gift. She believes that the obstacles you face - and boy, motherhood brings about plenty of those - gives you an opportunity to learn and grow, rather than becoming something that you try to avoid. In this action-packed episode, you'll learn how to become more resilient and bounce back from overwhelming pressure and anxiety. You'll find out how to deal with chronic stress and past trauma. And you'll know how to handle the negative emotions that burden you. Jennifer advocates that motherhood is about personal development, and we learn as much from our children as they learn from us. She says, “There's no such thing as an ideal mother. Every child needs a different mother and we're the exact mum they need us to be” You can find the full write up from this episode including the Show Notes at www.Lisa-York.com/090 Your iTunes Rating and Review helps spread the SuperMum message. On this episode of the Plan Simple Meals Podcast, I’m really excited to talk with Jennifer Bronsnick, a mom coach and human design specialist. Not sure what human design is? I didn’t know either, but it’s pretty amazing. We actually start by Jennifer explaining human design. She says it’s pretty straightforward: “How can you get out of your head and tune into your intuition and tap into your gut, that inner knowing, that inner voice so that your life path unfolds just how it should be.” Human design is a tool that helps you find out what you’re here to do, what your life purpose is. And helps you make decisions that are in alignment with your soul rather than doing what we think we are supposed to do. She talks about the different types within human design. In the links below you can see how to get your chart read to figure out your type. Jennifer talks about how running charts for family members provides insight into family dynamics and how people work together. We talk about: Sleep to help prevent burnout and how different Human Design types need different sleep Knowing your own early burnout cues Understanding our own nutritional needs, based on bio-individuality or listening to yourown body and what works for you Mindfulness as a tool, including EFT (tapping), meditation, and guided self-hypnosis The option of saying no A reminder that you are enough: “You are not alone, you’re doing a good job, you are strong and you are enough” BIO Jennifer Bronsnick, MSW, LCSW is passionate about supporting individuals to heal from burnout and families to be resilient. As a mother of three daughters under 9 and a survivor of postpartum depression and anxiety, Jennifer knows exactly how challenging life can be. She also knows that there is hope for all of us and with accurate information, support and inspiration that everyone has the capacity to thrive. Jennifer’s years of clinical experience as a social worker, her training in Mindfulness, Human Design, EFT and other healing modalities gives her the unique ability to guide individuals on their path to health and wellness. Your Human Design type can give you so much insight into your purpose and what you need. I’m fascinated by the idea that different types have different sleep needs! While it isn’t the answer to everything, it’s another tool to help you make decisions in alignment. Check out Jennifer’s website or the link she suggested to get your chart read and learn about your type. TRY TAPPING. EFT is a healing tool that uses tapping on certain points in the body. If you’ve never tried it, consider adding it to your tool box. Use the links above to get the basics on tapping. Then commit to tapping every day for a week. If you’ve tried tapping in the past, but let it fall away, try adding it back into your day. LEARN TO SAY NO. Jennifer talks about how different types are better able to respond to different types of questions. Generators work better with yes or no questions while projectors work better with invitations. Either way, listening to your gut and practicing saying No to things that you don’t want to do is a powerful way to avoid overwhelm. This week, practice noticing how you feel about a request, question, or invitation and then respond accordingly, whether the answer is Yes or No – indecision is exhausting!

Today on the show I am chatting with Jennifer Bronsnick, MSW, LCSW who is passionate about supporting moms to heal from burnout and families to be resilient. With this goal in mind, October 10-11, the 2nd Annual ETTM's 360º Business and Personal Development Conference: The Power of Connections 2014- Building Business and Living Fully! is happening in Freehold, NJ. This is the first of 3 shows leading up to the #ETTM360 Conference in October. Word of Mom Radio will be sharing the women behind the conference and the speakers on August 14th, September 18th and October 2nd. On the 14th I welcome Vanessa, Lynette and the first two event speakers we are sharing, Jennifer Bronsnick and Britt Bolnick. Word of Mom Radio - the show for Mompreneurs - the NEW Business Woman will be broadcasting during the event and is kicking off a series of shows on August 14th leading up to the conference in October.
