Anthony "Tony" Moran is a DJ, record producer, remixer, singer and songwriter known for remixing popular songs. In 2007, he hit number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart twice with "Walk Away" featuring Kristine W and "Keep Your Body Working" featuring Martha Wash. Moran also has a total of seven number one hits on the Billboard Dance Club Songs music charts in the United States and he has recently had four number one Billboard chart hits in the years 2016 and 2017.[1] As a remix producer, Moran has remixed work from top music artists including Janet Jackson, Madonna, George Michael, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Deborah Cox, Cher, Kristine W and many others. This first set focuses solely on his 90's work when he was the guy you called when you couldn't get David Morales, Junior Vasquez or Hex Hector on the phone. By the mid-millennium after Hex Hector dropped out of the scene and Morales and Vasquez weren't enjoying the success they previously held, Tony Moran's star began to shine even brighter. He slipped into this gap and much of his work with either Jody Den Broeder and Warren Rigg produced some of the most iconic remixes of a generation. That's not to say his 90's output was mince meat because his productions and remixes were impeccable and even though they closely resembled the work of all three DJs above to fit what he was working on — they were uniquely his own. His remix of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" is quite possibly one for the record books with its big ass tribal beats and high energy synths — the remix was every gay boy's wet dream. Moran was channeling Hex Hector better than the man himself with that remix. Tony Moran would go on to release his own albums featuring some of the biggest divas on the planet, which were major events (pun intended) in themselves. They would generate massive club hits that soaked the world's dancefloors in man sweat. He was a fixture on the circuit scene and his world tours drew massive crowds making him one of the first superstar DJs (next to Tiesto) to capitalize on his name. Tony has had a long and productive career that continues to generate massive #1 Billboard Dance Club hits for Jason Walker and Martha Wash to this day. It is with much love and admiration for a man who got his start doing exactly what I used to do by creating mixtape edits back in the day that Party Favorz honors the multi-talented Tony Moran into our exclusive Legacy series. ENJOY! Ultimately, there will be three to four sets in this series, which will be staggered out through the month of November (possibly into December) as a lot is planned for the last two months of the year. Releases will be unpredictable and can drop anytime so make sure you're following Party Favorz on Facebook, download the app or sign up for email updates. There are few things in life that are sweeter than having a vision... After being so humbled and inspired by the love shown to me either through my sets, or from many of my original compositions in those sets, this vision came to me of how exactly I wanted to put together Volume 2 of my Unloaded podcast series. I took three of my latest sets which had me unloaded to an even bigger level. So when I just recently played at my NYC hometown residency (XL Night Club), in Bahia, Brazil (Hell And Heaven Party) and in Tokyo, Japan (Glamorous Party), I had the idea to take these three journeys from different areas of the world where I really had to take those big guns out! I am new to putting up podcasts, but like all the steps I've taken throughout my career, I do not succomb to the pressure of having to conform as it restricts me from creating. I am taking a chance by not limiting or compressing the journey I want to share with all of you. You have about two hours here, and I hope that you, my friends, followers, and subscribers continue giving me your support and spreading the news to help me take my music to new places to encourage my own growth. I have included many of my most requested unreleased mashups as well as original songwriting/production compositions; many that I unfortunately cannot release on my own, but I can share them with you through my podcasts and I will be able to let you preview them individually when you go on to my new site. www.mrtanmanmusic.com It's in the early stages, so give me a chance and hit the "+" sign, reach out to me, and watch it get better every day. This is what my partners from Sugarhouse Records, my management and myself created to get a Tony Moran "all access pass". So from the podcast you'll be able to hear the never available... Queen vs. Tony Moran "No Escape from Reality" My Mashup Of "Escobar" by Danzando My New Remix of Colton Ford "Let Me Live Again" that has been blowing up the dance floors My Great friend DJ Paulo's remix of my classic with Deborah Cox, "Easy As Life" - It is soooooo HOT! My Mashup of a fierce track that my friend DJ Alex Cohen turned me on to called "Drums Of Benirras" where I threw in full on Loleatta Holloway in there. Drives people absolutely crazy! Then of course two of my favorite experiences ever; my production and songwriting moments with two of the greatest Divas of all time, Donna Summer and Cher. Donna's "Valley Of The Moon" that was written by Donna, myself and Nathan Digesere which never got to be released. Then there was awesome experience with Cher, who I recorded at the home of my greatest inspirations, David Foster. Written by Bruce Roberts, it's titled, "Love So High" and did this version that did not make it on the album for retarded reasons that is not worth getting into, but Cher herself was amazing. Thank you to all the incredible talent that I love to promote and promote me back. Mauro Mozart, DJ Enrry Senna, Gustavo Scorpio, the legendary Peter Rauhofer, Jody Den Broeder, Giuseppe D., Stonebridge and Edson Pride. Much love and see you soon. Love, Tony TRACK LISTING: 1. As the days just keep getting better, so does the need to P-A-R-T-Y like it's 2010! In keeping with that theme, I'm serving up volume 2 of the BPM Edition. Kicking things off is the latest from Lifehouse. While we all know this group as the mainstay of Top 40 meat and potatoes rock, their latest effort stays true to their roots, with hooks aplenty. Jody Den Broeder takes a shot at it and delivers a surprisingly delicious dance production that even I had to take notice. We also get Adam Lambert's second release with the Pink-penned tune “Whataya Want From Me” with Fonzerelli doing the remix honors. This is just one of several great songs off of his amazing debut “For Your Entertainment.” What's sad is that ATL pop radio frankly sucks donkey dongs. This is a city of over 11 million people and instead of being on the cutting edge, we have two pop stations that play virtually the exact same thing and don't even put a song into rotation until it hits the top twenty. With no alternative and dance radio stations, this market is ripe for picking. As such, I have yet to hear Adam on the radio, but am tortured by Kris Allen's relatively lame “Live Like You Were Dying.” Whateva! It's been a long while since we got anything new from the “Milkshake” girl Kellis, but her latest “Acapella” is simply amazing! Fantastic vocals and an amazing production by Dave Aude, this is a surefire crowd pleaser. After the success of last year's “Patron Tequila” by the Paradiso Girls comes the latest drinking song “Sex on the Beach” by Spanker. In fact, I think we may be seeing a trend here that will get old pretty quick. What's next, a song about Corona? Oh wait, that's already been done. How about Budweiser instead? Regardless, this is a fun song as is “Something Like a Party” by newcomers School Gyrls. Think Britney times 3 still pulling off the little parochial school girl look ten years later. Clearly aimed at the Ke$sha market, this too will get old. Finally, I want to give a shout out to the UK's Rachel Ellektra. I'm really digging a lot of her work lately and “Playing with Knives” featuring the vocals of the amazing Angie Brown is pure hard hitting house bliss! Keep an eye out for her, because you will definitely be hearing more of her work in any given club in the very near future. That's ‘bout all I got for today. I'll be back tomorrow with part 2 and hopefully Sunday with the “on the house” special, part 3. Until then, enjoy! Gay Days are here again and I'm bringing along the tunes to complete the party! Whereas last year I did First Splash and then the Pride Editions in June, this year and going forward will focus on Gay Days just after Memorial Day Weekend. Because there are so many festivities around this time, I thought it would be best to just focus on one of them and that can actually be the soundtrack for your Pride festivities as well. Now, that doesn't mean you won't be getting any Pride mixes, because you will. If you remember my post at the beginning of the year, I had come to the conclusion that whipping out eight or so mixes for the Year-End Edition was a bit much. So, I decided that by mid-year (December through May) I would put out a series of mixes that will be focused on Pride but will be more like a Mid-Year Edition. Don't worry, you still get your Summer Edition which will be out sometime in July. Due to the amount of music I process and the variety of genres, this seemed like the most plausible way to handle this. Frankly, many of the songs that will appear on the Pride Edition are still hot and being played around the world, so they're still pretty much fresh. Right now, it's all about Gay Days. If you've never been out to Orlando, this IS a blast and something you should really check out. I'm a sucker for rollercoaster's and fun scary rides; so hanging out at Walt Disney World all day is pure enjoyment. Then, off to Pleasure Island for a night of fun and frolicking; not to mention all the other parties going on around the area at the same time. I was going for an elongated, dramatic effect in these three mixes and I do believe I've achieved that. I've managed to throw together a spice bowl of circuit, progressive, mainstream and electro house with a squeeze of funky and updated classics to keep it interesting. After all, who wants each song to be someone pounding on the drums? To me, that get's a little monotonous. Starting out a little slower than usual, we get an update from Jocelyn Brown of her 1984 classic "Somebody Else's Guy" which is bound to please her fans. Then we switch into progressive mode with Safire's "Exotique" which was recently featured in my last BPM Edition. Probably one of the songs that are blowing up everywhere right now is "Goodbye" by Kristinia DeBarge. DJ Paulo delivers this HUGE room mix that truly satisfies. However, it's the oh so familiar hook that will have the boys singing long after the party is over. "Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey.Goodbye". If that sounds familiar it should. The chorus was plucked from the 1969 pop hit of the same name by Steam. If this isn't already big where you're at, trust me, it will be by the time summer is over. Of course, what would a gay celebration be without Cher? Courtesy of the ultra hot Wayne G, we get a 2009 re-work of "Believe" which brings song full circle ten years later. DJ Paulo and Alain Jackinsky take a stab at the recent number one "Boom" by Anjulie and work this puppy out for the big room crowd. I have to say, I am mighty impressed with Paulo's recent work so much so, he'll be one of a handful to watch in 2009. Previously, I had wet your buds with the Almighty mix of Wynonna's "Sing". Now, we taking it up several notches with Jody Den Broeder's mix. His mix is definitely for the late-night crowd and still manages to retain the uplifting spirit of the original. BIG is how I would best describe it. Ceevox continues her work with poet turned clubmaster, Jimmy D. Robinson on "At Midnight". Though lower in stature, I'm totally feeling this song as I haven't been able to get it out of my head. It's just a great song, no if and or buts. Georgie Porgie is back with "I Believe in Love" which is another uplifting number but, with Bryan Reyes doing the remix honors, it takes on a more urgent and powerful stance. Always a fan of the Georgie, this one does not disappoint. Finally, we get an updated version of the 1985 classic "Wh...

It's looking like this might end up as a four mix set, so I decided to go ahead and start rolling the mixes out. I'm not completely sure about the fourth mix, but just in case...Anyway, I'll be putting these out each day through the weekend. As promised, I kept the mixes down in size, though I wasn't able to get this one under the 80 minute mark, I think everyone will live. There's definitely several HOT tunes in this mix and I thought I might get back to my short reviews of each song; so here goes... Album : Holiday Edition v1 Genre : Circuit, Progressive, Tribal Year : 2008 Total Time : 1:27:09.00 Track : 1 Title : I Stay In Love (Jody Den Broeder Club Mix) Artist : Mariah Carey I wasn't really feeling the Ralphi mixes of this song, however I totally love that Jody is showing us a funkier side of his production skills. In fact, he does it again on Leann Rimes' "What I Cannot Change". However, since I didn't want to get to early hour in this mix, I opted for the Bronleewe & Bose Extended Mix instead. Frankly, I'm just glad that Sony finally got around to releasing some more mixes from Mariah. Her album has not done as well as they had hoped, but her fans still want to hear her on the dancefloor. Essential. Track : 2 Title : Feels So Good (Klubjumpers Club Mix) Artist : Sean Ensign Klubjumpers appear to be the 'IT' guys of the moment. Sean's association with them has turned out another solid floor thumper. Catchy as hell, there's no doubt this will keep the boys movin'. Outstanding. Track : 3 Title : Sandcastle Disco (Escape & Coluccio Club Mix) Artist : Solange The other 'IT' guys of the moment are Escape & Coluccio; for that matter DJ Escape and anyone he produces with. Beyonce's baby sister is on fire with her second single which is currently #1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart. Equally exceptional is the Freemasons remix of this song featured in my Halloween Edition (Take 3). Essential. Track : 4 Title : Hell No (Tony Moran & Warren Rigg Club Mix) Artist : Judy Torres I thought I'd never say this, but I miss Tony & Warren. After inundating us with mix after mix from last year's "The Event", they pretty much oversaturated the clubs with their big room sound. After taking some time off, their back with a remix of this ultra hot Judy Torres tune. With it's call out hook "HELL NO" this song is irresistible no matter what the remix. Tony brings back his big room production style and applies it to great effect on this song. Essential. Track : 5 Title : Roots Before Branches (Almighty Extended Mix) Artist : Room For Two Almighty, the kings (or queens) of Euro power pop for the dancefloor are as relevant now as they were in the late 90s and early millennia. With it's big production style, amazing vocals and over the top drama, this mix borders on commercial trance that finds the hook and utilizes it to great effect. Unfortunately, I don't think this song will be the big hit it deserves to be. Why? No one has really picked up on it, at least not yet. So, I'm challenging everyone to drop this in the middle of a set and see if it don't drive those queens mad! Essential. Track : 6 Title : Feel It 2008 (The Mac Project Remix) Artist : The Tamperer feat. Maya Updated classic from 1998. Daddy Mac retains all of the original elements making it even bigger than I remember it. Essential. Track : 7 Title : Fashion (Arenna Mix) Artist : William Umana feat. Jenn Fashion is Dolce, Gabbana...Beyonce and Madonna. Oh SNAP! Track : 8 Title : Headphones (Almighty 12'' Anthem Mix) Artist : Leann Rimes I love the fact that Leann released an E.P. of mixes from her last two albums "Family" and "Whatever We Wanna". The two standouts are the Almighty remix of "Headphones" and the remixes for "What I Can Not Change" featuring productions by Jody Den Broeder (funky) Kaskade (mainstream progressive) and Bronleewe & Bose (big room trance). While the other cuts,

Album : Electro-Funk Edition v8 Genre : Electro, Funky, Progressive, Trance Year : 2008 Total Time : 1:19:15:00 Track : 1 Title : I Surrender (PF Pumping Extended Mix) Artist : Kate Ryan Hi-NRG electro-pop track with mainstream appeal. Sugary? Yeah. Infectious? You bet. Personally can't get this one out of my head. Should do very well at radio as well as the floor. Look out for Kate's new album 'Free'. Outstanding. Track : 2 Title : Heaven Can Wait (Chris The Greek Mix Extended) Artist : Luvndreams feat. Elisa Rodriguez Track : 3 Title : Move (Soul Avengerz Mix) Artist : Soul Avengerz feat. Zena Chavez Serious electro-funk with some serious vocals that cannot be denied. Massive floor filler is the best way to describe this song with a really deep groove. This further proves that the Soul Avengerz are in complete control and delivering some of the best beats so far this year. Essential. Track : 4 Title : You Make Me Feel (Extended Mix) Artist : AnnaGrace Song has already hit dance radio and is currently moving up Billboard's Club Charts. With a variety of mixes, what's not to like. You want funk...got it. You prefer electro...got it. Need some more radio friendly...got that too. Essential. Track : 5 Title : Medicine (Extended) Artist : Kim Leoni Track : 6 Title : Like The Way I Do (Sunloverz Remix) Artist : 2-4 Grooves Unlikely remake of the Melissa Etheridge classic. With it's deep electro grooves, this works on all levels. Heck, even the vocals recall Melissa's awesome rendition. Outstanding. Track : 7 Title : Grass Is Greener (Original Club Mix) Artist : Dave Aude feat. Sisley Treasure The first release from Dave's label is a serious dancefloor contender. This is my current pick to click. Expect this to blow up very soon. Also watch out for the kick-ass Jody Den Broeder mix. Track : 8 Title : Up (Riffs & Rays Remix) Artist : The Saturdays Track : 9 Title : Irresistible (Stonebridge Club Mix) Artist : Tom Belton Track : 10 Title : Dream On (Warren Clarke Club Mix) Artist : Christian Falk feat. Robyn Christian Falk is a Swedish producer/artist and has teamed up with Robyn for his latest album 'People Say'. Warren delivers an uncharacteristic 80s electro mix that would fit nicely into any John Hughes soundtrack. It's not difficult to picture Cyndi Lauper singing this song. Be sure to check out the equally amazing Moto Blanco mix. Essential. Track : 11 Title : Turn The Tide (Orginal Mix) Artist : Manian feat. Aila Picture song #1 with a slight early millennium Ibiza beat. Sugar-coated electro pop that's sure to please even the most finicky sourpuss. Essential. Track : 12 Title : Touch Me (Bart B. More Remix) Artist : Bingo Players vs. Chocolate Puma Yeah, like this song needs anymore attention. Essential. Track : 13 Title : Smash Disco (Vandalism V8 Mix) Artist : Vandalism Fun electro in the form of something the Starkillers might put out. With silly lyrics that are easy to remember, I can see every electro-queer shaking their ass off on the floor. I'm not saying there's anything original about this, but it ranks high on the fun factor scale. Essential. Track : 14 Title : Stop (Diego Donati vs. F&A Factor Club Mix) Artist : Consoul Trainin feat. Joan Kolova Fabulous electro-house with beautiful vocals and wonderful lyrics. Currently one of my favorite spins. Also check out the amazing Rivaz & Zucchi Club Mix which drops the chorus down to a slinky little jazzy affair. Absolutely ESSENTIAL!
It's that time of year again; and what a roller coaster year this has been; not just for me in my professional life or for Britney, Amy, Paris, Nicole & Lindsey, the flailing housing market, rising gas prices or even a sadistic administration that is the true access of evil; but more importantly club music. Every ten years or so, musical styles and tastes begin to evolve. Often times, pop music is nothing more than a reflection of decades past and a direct result of the social issues surrounding us at that time. We've witnessed how alternative music has reached back to the eighties for the "garage band" sound and are now seeing low tech electro-pop music come back into fashion as well. In fact, Erasure who never really changed their sound is now back in style; even if the masses didn't gravitate to their superior and much under-appreciated "Light At The End Of The World" album. More importantly, we are witnessing the comeback of (dare I say it) DISCO! Apparently, that word remains a bit of a stigma in the minds of people; so the politically correct thing is to call it FUNK. Fine, whatever tickles your pickle, but at the end of the day, it's still disco; just with a funkier edge. You don't need to look any further than the remixes by some of my current heroes Moto Blanco, Freemasons, Seamus Haji and the Bassmonkeys to see the overwhelming acceptance on the dance floor, and I predict finally on radio in 2008. We are also seeing the decline of this big room progressive sound in the way of Circuit music. While the deeper beats and darker sound will always be around, much of it is transforming itself into heavy electro. You can thank Jody Den Broeder and his ilk for that. While not my favorite producer, he has had a stellar coming out year, remixing many of the number ones that resided on Billboard's dance chart. These changes often reflect the mood of the nation. Certainly being under attack and at war, living under the oppression of an arrogant regime has contributed heavily to the dark renderings of club music that had been so prevalent for the past several years. So much so, I almost gave it all up. Fortunately, it's these very changes I've been witnessing that have renewed my sense of belief in what club music is and always should be; That is to say that club songs are seemingly about nothing, "he said-she said", "you done me wrong, so get your ass out the door", "I'm so in love with you"...etc. Elvis Costello once said, "What's So Funny About Peace, Love, and Understanding?" Well, nothing really; and that is why that theme has been steadily appearing in club music as well. For better or worse, the various genres of club music are here to stay, at least for now. We'll see another evolution take place in another ten years or so. One thing that will always be a constant is that clubbing is all about frivolous fun. It's an opportunity to escape the realities of everyday life. In the end, it's all good. With that being said, I bring you the first of my Party Favorz 2007 Year-End Edition; Mainstream Club. If you're one of those that's boogieing till the peak of dawn, then this one's for you! Download and burn this to CD for posterity sake. Ten years from now, you'll be glad you did.
