Just Friends is a charming little comedy starring Ryan Reynolds before he ascended into super stardom. As Chris Brander, Reynolds plays a heavy-set high schooler whose love for his best friend Jamie Palamino (Amy Smart) is unrequited. Flash forward 10 years and Brander is now fit and successful. He begrudgingly returns to his hometown in New Jersey and takes one last shot with his longtime crush. Hijinks and hilarity ensue. Not well reviewed at the time of its release and with a middling box office, Just Friends has become a cult classic. That is thanks in large part to a bonkers performance from Anna Faris as loony pop star Samantha James; and an incredible villainous turn from Chris Klein as Dusty Dinkleman—a fellow high school nerd who also loved Jamie. Trance Mission “The Final Cut Pt.1” (Let Go) Fusion of (mostly) current higher bpm Trance and Progressive house. Set was originally 02:30:00 hours, thought I would spare you the massive data charge and cut it in two parts. Mostly Trance I have never used before meshed with a few of my classics. Are you ready for it? Most probably not! I hesitate to call it Trance as it is meant to be fusing Trance and House into Trouse. Yet, the set is well within the Trance realm going from 122 bpm to 134 riding that emotional wave up and down, with highs and lows, builds and drops, bridges and precipices… as a journey into Trance should be. There is nothing harder (at least for me) than to mix a decent Trance set. The bpm range mostly disallow beat synch and every track needs to be worked and properly cued. Furthermore, it needs a structure and needs length to cover all the emotions of a good trance roller coaster. Finally, finding good, non-insipidly commercial Trance requires a lot of crate digging if ones wishes not to repeat every time the same classics. Anthems as they may be, they also need a rest! Anyhow, here we are, possibly the last chapters of the Trance Mission. It is a very post-produced set. There was hardly anything live about it! I do hope you will enjoy it and Spotify the new tracks or, here is a novel idea, actually BUY THEM! One warning. I get a lot of comments, both positive and negative on the accapellas add-ins. 3D Na’Tee (pronounced Three Dee Nah-Tee), was born Samantha James in the notoriously rough city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Having to deal with extreme hardship and tragedy in her home, Na’Tee turned to poetry and music at an early age as a way to release tension and gain a sense of inner calm amidst the chaos and confusion that surrounded her. Na’Tee knows the turmoil of the street life all too well. She is the oldest child and the only girl of parents who sold drugs, and later fell victim to the same fate as many of the people they sold to over the years. Her mother and father became addicted to drugs when Na’Tee was just a child. George Tandy Jr. creates brilliant music that is rich with honesty, vulnerability and raw emotion. He is not your typical church singing choir boy or even a classically trained vocalist or pianist but his messages are conveyed clearly and powerfully. Fans often refer to his voice as hypnotizing and pure. Each piece of music creates an inner journey to a time and place that is unique to the listener. Whether it is about sex, relationships, or worldly affairs you will feel every moment in the song. You can call it R&B, folk music or even call it jazz. Some call it soul with a hint of hip hop and note his classical music influences. No matter what you call it, you are correct every time. George personally prefers to call his music "Soulternative." Regardless of genre, his sound is certainly unique and George is determined to gain fans, supporters as well as new friends one song at a time. He believes that music heals people. Soon people all across the world will be proudly stating, "I am TeamTandy!" once they get a taste.

**WARNING NOT FOR MINORS ** Deep in my kind of Groove A few months ago this podcast was selected (as part of a random sample of online music), for a doctoral study by the Musicology Dept of UMich. Amongst the "open" questions I was asked was the following one: " Are there any of your sets you would like to make public but haven't due to self-censorship or fear that your target audience will not be interested?" Got me thinking.. This set is an example of what I would not have normaly published.. Yet.. it is MY KIND OF GROOVE.. It has a bit of sugar, a bit on underground house, great deep meaningful tunes and a dash of indie/house and lots of vocal samples. By "my kind of groove" I do not infer that this music is "better" or anything of the sort.. Just that it is "my kind of Groove.." **WARNING NOT FOR MINORS ** Before I get any messages and/or rantings on promotings drugs, let me make the following crystal clear: I do not condone drugs, prescribed or illegal. Drugs f@ck up people. As to marijuana in particular, the research is there for everyone to make the educated clever choice. There is a clear correlation between Marijuana and psychotic episodes on younger not fully formed brains. This is not an inference, but a statiscally significant correlation between usage and mental health in 15 to 25 y.o. Since the research cannot identify the genetic cluster, using Dope puts young minds at risk as no one knows if he/she may or may not be affected. So DRUGS NOT MY KIND OF GROOVE AT ALL... MUSIC YES! This being said why did I use the 50's samples? Because this mix is, as said in the Intro, what I had mixed but never wanted to publickly upload.. More current "In It Together" from Human life, the club hit of the 2011 summer, Knuckles' remix, what more can be said.. And "Take Me Back" Sandy Rivera feat. After getting the happy-go-lucky Sun Mix complete, it was time to turn my attention to it's darker brother the Moon Mix. I know this looks like a lot of songs, but the mix isn't actually as long as it looks. I had fun using just bits and pieces of a lot of these tracks. I wish I had more time to point out some specific tracks I love, but work is really kicking my butt this week and I'm trying to get all my projects complete before the holiday weekend. The title for this months NCM says it all for my past month. My computer crashed, my body crashed and I've been just exhausted. Think im perfectly healthy now as we move closer to spring. Tune of the month goes to the Amurai and Melissa Loretta track. I love the feel I get from it. The most interesting tune has to be the lead track from Martin Roth and Lily Allen- loving those lyrics... very much. I couldnt wait to lead off with it this month. Samantha James track definitely brings back memories Kaskades last album. I added 2 non-vocal tracks, but like I always say they better be damn good to make the musical. The Jan Martin track is a modern day Three Drives and a Vinyl groove. When the break hits, its beautiful. Also, while working out I came across a great work out track on DI radio called Chimera. Awesome to lift to. The Dj Mog tune reminds me of my New Order days. Never Cry Again is chilling when the vocals hit especially on the break. I love Mike Shivers style, hes has become a favorite. The classic tune Touch Me has been redone many times, but this is my favorite. The build is breath taking. Hope ya enjoy this and thanks for all the recent feedback. As always listen to this LOUD.
