In this episode we chat with Rand Enaya and we chat about what to do when you're rejected from your dream school! Rand grew up in a family with 7 siblings as the middle child. The age gap with the older children made her the "eldest of the youngest". She initially wanted to be a doctor, then found an interest in property management. Her dad said she would be good in business, and that's what she went after. She applied to her dream business school in Canada and was rejected! What did she do? She picked another major at the university she wanted then expected to be able to transfer into the business program. She would only be allowed to transfer is she got permission from every professor. Started the program almost a month later and with an assignment due next week, she pulled off completing the assignments and catching up with studying for exams and getting an A to complete the minimum to transfer. What they didn't tell her is that the minimum wasn't enough so she found another university to transfer to and had to complete 2 first year courses before she could continue her program. She finally got into the program and now is back on track with her career currently working on an internship doing accounting for a... wait for it... property management company!
