For our journalist roundtable for March 15, we sat down with Logan Gehman and Dan Nephin of LNP/LancasterOnline to discuss the small plane crash that occurred last Sunday shortly after takeoff from the Lancaster Airport. The crash, which left five people injured, has raised questions about flight safety, emergency response, and what comes next for the investigation. During our conversation, Gehman and Nephin shared insights into the details of the crash, the condition of those on board, and the response from local authorities. They also provided updates on what we know so far about the aircraft involved, possible causes, and what aviation experts are saying about the incident. Listen to the podcast to hear the entire conversation. Support WITF: https://www.witf.org/support/give-now/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Thanks mostly to his magical work with John Mellencamp, Don Gehman was one of the biggest producers of the 80s. He was by John's side from the Cougar days through his whole peak period ending with The Lonesome Jubilee. Along the way he also produced REM's best album, Life's Rich Pageant, Bruce Hornsby's A Night on the Town, and many more, but the success started to wane. Then, he took on the job of producing this new band with a funny name called Hootie and the Blowfish and we know how that ended. Don doesn't do a lot of interviews so we're lucky to hear him discuss all of this as well as Chicago, Brian Setzer, Jimmy Barnes, Pat Benatar and a bunch of others. Don figured out what the sound of Heartland rock in the 80s should sound like, and we're all better off for it. www.patreon.com/c/thehustlepod
How we wished we could... move to Hollywood! w/ Pleasant Gehman . . . YOU DON'T KNOW MOJACK is a podcast dedicated to exploring the entire SST catalogue, in order, from start to finish. During the podcast we will discuss all the releases that are part of our core DNA, as well as many lesser-known releases that deserve a second chance, or releases that we are discovering for the very first time (we actually don't know Mojack!). First and foremost we are fans, and acknowledge that we are not perfect and don't know everything – sometimes the discussion is more about a time, place, feeling, personal experience or random tangents, and less about the facts (but we will try to get to the facts too). Esperanza and Irwin welcome Geoff Gehman, the author of The Kingdom Of The Kid: Growing Up In The Long Lost Hamptons. Geoff spent 1967 through 1972 in Wainscott as a young boy coming of age. The memories we all have in those formative years tends to be indelible, so much so that it inspired the book. Geoff regales us here with many of those stories that serves right into the mission of Our Hamptons; the rich sense of place that never seems to cease pulling at our heartstrings.

Season 3: I Believe Linda Gehman-Peachey shares her “I believe” statement.
This episode, I speak with David Lucas, the Edward Pettinella Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and a Research Fellow with the Institute for an Entrepreneurial Society. In our conversation today, we talk about a recent paper he published in AMJ, with co-authors, Matthew Grimes and Joel Gehman, about Remaking Capitalism into a more just, sustainable, and inclusive system. The paper explores how legislation can shape how intensely firms focus on values-driven business. This leads to a broader discussion about the purpose of the modern firm and the paradoxical way that policy can in fact get firms to voluntarily shift away from a narrow focus on shareholder maximization. Hollywood rock n' roll icon, author and multi-disciplinary artist, professional dancer and musician Pleasant Gehman talked to me about her latest book ”Rock ‘N' Roll Witch: A Memoir of Sex, Magick, Drugs and Rock ‘N' Roll.” As one of the first punks in Los Angeles to document the scene she helped create in her fanzine Lobotomy, which lead to writing for the top mainstream rock publications. She fronted her three bands, all of whom released multiple recordings: The Screaming Sirens, The Ringling Sisters and Honk If Yer Horny. Also known as Princess Farhana, a professional bellydancer and burlesque performer, she is also a tarot reader and she will be making an appearance at the upcoming Rex Manning Day, a yearly event in Honolulu honoring the cult classic film, "Empire Records" which will be held on Saturday, April 8 at the The Equus Hotel ( 1696 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, Hawaii ) at 6pm featuring actor Coyote Shivers (Berko) performing and on the decks DJ Triple ByPass and DJ Nocturna. Pleasant will be doing tarot readings at the event and we'll be showing the film and more. Hope to see you there !https://pleasantgehman.com/tarotreadi...
