In this episode, we talk with Vinny Marone of Loud Love and Jersey Calling about people from different parts of New Jersey, the connection between the Philly and Jersey scenes, releasing songs with stars like Lisa Loeb and Billy Sheehan, and the difficulty of being a band that moves around in genres. Plus, is the album format still desirable, failing and getting better, joining an established band, writing hooks, and the importance of stories. On this absolute blast of an episode I get the pleasure of sitting down and chatting w/ Vinny Marone, brainchild of the awesome Philadelphia-area punk band LOUD LOVE. We chat about starting the project as a way to cope during the pandemic and as a way to work w/ people he admired, using the band as a way to convey his variety of influences, our shared love of TwentyOne Pilots, and the way we can connect with our children through music. We also converse about LOUD LOVE's new EP “The Price of Addiction,” the difficulty of maintaining the drive to play music and THAT unglamorous side of punk rock, the huge influence of Sublime on him and the genesis of their cover of “Same in the End,” and so much more. So sit back and enjoy a great conversation w/ this episode of TIJAP. *** (songs played in this episode by LOUD LOVE are the tracks “Just Fine,” “Hold Fast,” “Eternity's Fire,” “Issues,” “Croaked,” and their cover of “Same in the End.” Used w/ their permission.)***
Morning Mantra: “Making someone feel seen, heard, and understood is the loudest way to love them.”A loving connection between two people is an energy that is created when they feel seen, heard and valued. When they each can give and receive without judgement. When they feel safe enough to be vulnerable, to be open, to be truly themselves.People don't want to be talked out of their feelings- they want them to be recognized.People don't want to be convinced their truth is wrong if it differs from your truth, they want to be understood.Love in a way that feels safe, supportive and welcoming.#BeLoudWithYourLove #BeHorsey #BeHippie #HorseHippie #MorningMantra #WordsToInspire #InspirationalQuotes #HorseHippieBoutique #SmallBusinessOwner #WomenOwned #HorseHippieBoutiqueQuote: Wild Faith and Brene Brown
Award-winning comedian, Chonda Pierce, is used to being on stage in front of an audience, but this time instead of telling stories and making people laugh, she's starring in a musical! “The Confession” is about an Amish love story and is based off the multi-million selling book series written by Beverly Lewis. It's in theaters for one day only, February 20th. Nine-time Emmy winner, David Sams, talks with Chonda about starring in this musical alongside John Schneider. He also catches up with the comedian about her recent move and embracing her current season in life. #ConfessionMusicalMovie #ChondaPierce #BeverlyLewis #JohnSchneider

Over fifty-nine times we read in the Owner's Manual to either treat OR avoid treating one another in a very specific way. These passages are commonly referred to as the “one another” passages. For the next several weeks we're going to spend time exploring the one another's in scripture. While all of the “one another” practices are important there is one that stands above the rest. In fact, it is so important that Jesus, John, Peter, and Paul command us to treat one another in this way. We find Jesus emphasizing this expectation to his disciples (family) in the hours prior to his arrest. John 13:34, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love another.”
Dylan's growing obsession with the Gabby Petito story. Tiger Tail ice cream progress. Pepper's roommate update. Old man Pepper is at it again complaining about technology. Making love with the windows open. What should you do when you have loud neighbours. Dylan made a celebrity cry.

Episode 6 continues our NCAA Tournament styled brackets to determine the greatest rock music artist of all time. This episode covers second round match ups from the '80s and '90s. '80s match ups for this episode: (1) U2 vs. (8) Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (2) R.E.M. vs. (7) AC/DC (5) Metallica vs. (13) Iron Maiden (6) Genesis vs. (14) Rush '90s match ups for this episode: (1) Nirvana vs. (9) Smashing Pumpkins (2) Radiohead vs. (7) Alice In Chains (3) Pearl Jam vs. (6) Wilco (4) Soundgarden vs. (5) Oasis Notes for this episode: Scott will amend calling U2's “Boy” “great” to “very good” instead. “War” was indeed the first truly great U2 album. Also, you couldn't ignore 2014's Songs Of Innocence either but that was mostly due to the iTunes fiasco. Metallica's initial 10 year run is as good a run as any band has had - in heavy metal (the last part got cut off) Matt meant to say that Iron Maiden and Metallica were NOT party bands, unlike KISS Scott meant to single out the Soundgarden song “Loud Love” which is on the album “Louder Than Love” (also home of the excellent “Hands All Over”) The Smashing Pumpkins' drummer Jimmy Chamberlin was kicked out of the band for Adore, but he did return for the Machina albums. Wilco covered “Bob Dylans 115th Dream” (title was incorrectly stated)
In this episode, we asked about the power of love in the time of COVID and how you have shown love during this time to friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, or even strangers. We thought we would hear stories about romance, or even random acts of kindness, however, we learned that love is much more. Love is about speaking your truth, listening to others, and giving. One of our responses was from Ana, an entrepreneur originally from New York and currently residing in Florida and who is also member of our Dream Accelerator coaching group (EDA). We had the pleasuring of bringing her on to discuss her love story –– a story about how she speaks her truth and love through honesty while living with depression.

Get raged up and check your....beef? It’s 30 for 30 time so Bob and Drew reexamine another crossroads between sports and music. Tupac Shakur and Mike Tyson were fast friends with a lot in common and in Reggie Rock Bythewood’s 30 for 30 film “One Night in Vegas” their bond is posited as parallel lives leading to the death of Tupac on the same night Mike Tyson regained the WBC Heavyweight title. Also, the surprise reveal that Drew is something of a 2Pac connoisseur, whereas Bob was more concentrated on Notorious B.I.G. growing up, means they are forced to fight to the death using only the freestyles that come out of their heart and mind and also a fork. Podcast is mostly an audio medium therefore you can't see the copious amounts of blood and sperm. Neste episódio eu relembro a morte trágica de Chris Cornell, abordando a dor dos fãs, amigos e familiares, além do esforço que vem sendo feito pelo irmão do artista para trazer à tona a discussão sobre o tema do suicídio.
Drew and Bob lay their vaguely sports themed shorties to rest for January and we end it all on nothing less than the mascot world’s very own version of Jesus Christ. The 1984 San Francisco Giants were in the toilet for the season. A silly television commercial starring a touristy San Fran mascot reject became an on-field sponge for fan hate. A mime named Wayne + A hand full of batteries ÷ director Colin Hanks and you have a short documentary appropriately titled “The Anti-Mascot”. Grab your water balloon full of fun and prepare for the most hated crab in Giantsland. It got body slammed by the San Diego Padres for our sins. https://documenteerspodcast.com The full short: https://www.espn.com/watch/player?id=12876146&lang=en The original commercial: https://www.facebook.com/Giants/videos/love-that-crazy-crab-sfgiants/10155582373836828/ Listen to Drew’s radio shows “Walk It Off” and “Loud Love” here: https://www.wxnafm.org Song of the Episode (sorry): https://youtu.be/Nf_dqyI808o
Time to go undercover. We’re going to infiltrate and MURDER other podcasts! No no no. We’re not gonna murder anybody. But you’re innocent when you dream they say. There are many big names in the annals of baseball history, but one player in particular was very unique. Mo Berg was a solid baseball catcher and had a knack for just about anything. Then the government came calling. Drew and Bob put on trench coats and walk the streets of Zurich to acquire sensitive information regarding the short documentary “Spyball” by Christina Burchard and Daniel Newman. It tells like a big time pulp spy buster, except it’s real! Right? Also how does an hardened, yet aristocratic, baseball player/spy finally meet their end? Probably untreated syphilis, but I don’t think that goes down here. Some secrets Mo Berg took to his grave. https://documenteerspodcast.com The full short: https://vimeo.com/118604472 Listen to Drew’s radio shows “Walk It Off” and “Loud Love” here: https://www.wxnafm.org Song of the Episode: https://youtu.be/znojaWsYbn4
Drew and Bob’s vaguely sports themed Shorties continue on with something that barely compensates for people’s failed professional sports dreams…collecting baseball cards. Back in the day they stuck those things inside of packs of cigarettes. Back in the day they would sell cigarettes to a fetus. One of these over 100 years old cards was discontinued at the request of the player which resulted in the T206 Honus Wagner card becoming the rarest of the rare. This one going around is looking pristine, but it might be too good to be true. Wayne Gretzky co-owns it. Drew and Bob discuss “”Holy Grail - The T206 Honus Wagner” by the Barnicle Brothers. You read that right…”The Barnicle Brothers”. Keith Olberman is in this thing so much that I assume one of these directors has got to be his coke dealer. Learn about the story of a card worth way more than your house. https://documenteerspodcast.com The full short: https://vimeo.com/59180900 Listen to Drew’s radio shows “Walk It Off” and “Loud Love” here: https://www.wxnafm.org Song of the episode: https://youtu.be/6WUTlCTi7fg
The first Shorty in January. Drew (The Doofus) Drewfus and Bob tackle ESPN short documentaries that coincided with 30 for 30s. Honestly they are all barely about sports. Yes, Drew’s last name is really “Drewfus”. To kick off January Fridays we tell the sad story of a guy who has a feature film about him come out recently. Why not, conveniently, tackle the much more concise short documentary version of the same story. Drew and Bob talk about “Judging Jewell” by Adam Hootnick. It’s all about this guy named Richard Jewell who saved several people when he found a bomb in a tower during the Atlanta Olympic Games. As quickly as Jewell became a hero, he soon became the medias major suspect in the bombing. Despite having nothing to do with it. That feature film trailer makes it look like some “good people” versus bad bad media, but in the 90s everybody and their mother dumped on his dude. The media and the FBI did play a detrimental role. If only Richard Jewell lived long enough to have a Twitter account. https://documenteerspodcast.com The full short: https://www.espn.com/watch/player?id=10365079&lang=en The feature trailer: https://youtu.be/gSMxBLlA8qY Listen to Drew’s radio shows “Walk It Off” and “Loud Love” here: https://www.wxnafm.org Song of the episode: https://youtu.be/0wBDDAZkNtk

ARE YOU STOKED? RADICAL? COWABUNGA? Don’t have a cow, man? Where’s the best place to pop sick ass tricks, bruh? OKLAHOMA! We open up 2020 with Drew and Bob going down on another 30 for 30 sports themed documentary. When it comes to BMX sports, one name will likely come up. Mat Hoffman was so driven that it resulted in as many broken bones as it did accolades. We discuss the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary “Birth of Big Air” by Jeff Tremaine and Dickhouse productions. A brutal montage of wipeouts and impressive stunts that even impresses Evel Knievel. This flick was released on ESPN a year or two after Evel passed away. Hold on to your spleens and get gaped out by some of the sickest moves in any 30 for 30. By the way, my name is Tylear L. Shipley. The “L” stand for “Lazer”. I’m the new episode description writer for the Documenteers. I’m totally stoked for this new job. It doesn’t pay much, but if I can score a case of brewskis, a phat sack and some blunt wraps then i’m aaaaalllll gooooood. CREEPTOBER IS OFFICIALLY CREEPIN’. All month long we will discuss the terrifying aspects of life from the stereotypical Halloween schlock to the horrifying aspects of power in our lives. Drew and Bob kick it off with an ESPN documentary (related to the 30 for 30 series) about the madness of mass fandom and the dude that probably handled it better than most people could have. We return to Alex Gibney for his ESPN film “Catching Hell”. In 2003 the Chicago Cubs were looking good in the playoffs going into game 6 of the National League Championship series, until Luis Castillo for the Marlins hit what looked to be an easy pop up that drifts foul into the stands towards a turtle-necked, bespectacled fellow wearing headphones who stuck his hand out and fumbled a ball that Moises Alou looked to be able to grab. Afterwards, the Cubs fell apart. They gave up 8 runs in a clutch inning, a Chicago Cubs tradition. But that fan, poor Steve Bartman, suddenly held the weight and anger of a city on his back. Not all celebrity is good. We appropriately open up Creeptober with the worst day in a guy’s life. The scariest things are real, and not much is scarier than tens of thousands of drunk, angry, white Chicagoans that want your head on a stick. You’ll find out who your real friends are in that scenario. Get creeped. Stay Creepin’. Keep on Doccin’. Greetings CastFans and welcome to the continuing saga of your favorite Podcast, Amps and Axes. In this episode, the guys bring back a prior guest to see what's going on now and to ask him about a fantastic vocalist and guitarist he's had the pleasure to perform with. The singer has unfortunately departed this rock far too early, but Pete is still here to talk about it, so get ready to give some Loud Love to our guest of the week. Mr Pete Thorn. Enjoy!!
