Today’s episode is rather special in that I have invited a number of hobbyists from across the community to celebrate this fantastic game that we play. Age of Sigmar is five years old and has grown immeasurably since its release half a decade ago. We’re joined in this episode a whole bunch of people from all across the community. Some are matched play gamers, some are narrative fanatics, some are hobbyists and painters. You’ll undoubtedly recognise some names but just as important is those that you don’t. The hobby, and the wider community, is made up of all sorts of people, each enjoying the game in their own way. Whilst we tend to focus more on the Matched Play side of things here on Priority Roll, I wanted this episode to be a celebration of the game and the community that we’re part of. We’re very lucky to share this hobby community with such a huge bunch of awesome people, from all over the world and our diversity as a community, and our acceptance of such, is part of what makes the Warhammer scene so awesome. Here’s to another five amazing years of Age of Sigmar and thank you to all my guests on today’s podcast for taking part in this celebration. --- As always, please feel free to get in contact with any feedback for this episode or ideas for future episodes, we'd love to hear from you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! This is EPISODE THIRTY-SIX of the "LOOK OUT, SIR! 40K PODCAST”, a Warhammer 40,000 podcast where we discuss the following topics: THE BIG FAT 40K QUIZ OF THE YEAR IS A THING WE’RE DOING AND IT’LL BE RELEASED ON CHRISTMAS DAY! Please check it out on YouTube (LINK TBD), though be aware it is also available in audio form on your chosen Podcast Provider. I couldn’t do links for all of those, mostly because I’m unsure where to find them. I’m sure you’ll work it out… 17:20 - WE DISCUSS OUR HOBBY HIGHLIGHTS AND OR BEST BITS FROM 2019. 2019 has been an interesting year for the 40k hobby. Dan, Joe and Phil have a chat about the various things they enjoyed and accomplished in 2019. Fingers crossed it’s not as smug or self-congratulating as it maybe could be. We did do a bit where we say how great we are for continuing to do this Podcast. Though the hope is that comes across as heart-warming and sincere. I guess we’ll let the various comment sections tell us what people think. 1:28:11 - WE DISCUSS THE FINER POINTS AND OR VIRTUES OF THE NEW CHAPTER APPROVED 2019 MATCHED PLAY MAELSTROM MISSIONS.Maelstrom has somewhat developed a reputation for being Eternal War’s poor cousin, the random nature of the card system leading to uncompetitive and frustrating games of 40k. So why is it that after the release of Chapter Approved 2019 we all agree that it’s not only better, but possibly the most interesting way to play 40k? Why not have a listen and see if you don’t end up agreeing with us. We're joined on this episode by Warhammer TV's Dan to get his top tips on the best lists, armies and units in the new edition.
Welcome to the show! In this show we discuss "The Best Army in Age of Sigmar" focusing on Matched play and the power of the army. Sit back and get ready to some hammer to your face! Enjoy!
In this episode, we talk about playing with Titanic units in 40k. Many events have banned all units above a power level of 31, but how necessary is this? We talk about all of the units that would be banned and evaluate it for durability and lethality to see how good they are and if these units have a place in a 2000 point Matched Play game. The post Episode 48: Playing with Titanic Units appeared first on TheBattlehosts.
We poured some mead down Sean's throat to make him talk and it worked! Who knew plying gamers with alcohol coerced information from them? Stephen kept us in line and focused on the General's Handbook 2017 matched play and tournament implications.
