In this episode, I discuss the theme of control in motherhood. I acknowledge that motherhood can be messy, chaotic, and hard, and that control is a natural response to try to manage the challenges. However, I emphasize that control can be exhausting and lead to anxiety and unrealistic expectations. I share my personal stories and examples of how control can manifest in different ways, such as believing that your way is the only way, being unable to go with the flow, over-researching, not delegating tasks, and having high expectations. I reflect on the impact of the pandemic on my control tendencies and the importance of letting go and enjoying the journey of motherhood.

Groovy baby, yeah! Yes, even I can't believe there are movies that we haven't talked about yet and we're over 150 episodes in. This is another example of just that. Austin Powers is a comfort film for me that I didn't' realize until I started this review. The soundtrack has been burned into my brain for years as I used to play it to fall asleep throughout my mid teens. Me and Mikey reviewed this one and it was laughs all the way through! We get into the hilarious moments, LOTS of behind the scenes, the FASHION, and rave about the fact that this soundtrack is a whole swingin' VIBE.Off-topic rants include: Marvel movies, how I haven't seen a James Bond film, my new adventure starting The Crown--- Get BONUS episodes on 90s TV and culture (Freaks & Geeks, My So Called Life, Buffy, 90s culture documentaries, and more...) and to support the show join the Patreon! Nobody likes change, but everyone loves a behind-the-scenes look at how things work at 11:59 - so we oblige. We hope you'll still love us after this rare look at the guts of our operations. Be gentle. We are all human. And in the episode, we jess get right into it. We cover the case of a horrible human who not only has the middle name of Wayne (statistically one of the most common middle-names of criminals in the US) but he also chooses the most horrible choices for himself and many others. He's horrible. He's a coward. And you'll agree. And on the happy ending, The Op's memory takes a dump, but he makes up for it with a call that'll keep you buzzing all the way to the hospital. It's the climax of the episode! Hugs ❤️Ad-free episodes, and hours of extra 911 Calls content each week, exclusive merch, and early access to all of the 11:59 Media podcasts.
