Charlie and Sam are back for another season. No new logo (yet). No new theme music (yet). But a new format. It is a cricket podcast but only sort of as you know it. All this summer Charlie and Sam will be bringing you the stories around Somerset cricket. Yes, matters on the field will be covered. But we want to get to know the players, the personalities, the bits that may not otherwise be shouted about. Plus the hope is that we will have a little fun along the way. And we start with a bang - not one but two Somerset stars who also happen to play for England. Yes we have Jack Leach and Dani Gibson join the show. You're welcome. Learn more about your ad choices. Reaching 93 years old is quite a feat. Achieving such longevity the way Riane Eisler has done so makes her journey all the more remarkable. A Jewish native of Vienna, Eisler was fortunate to live to see her 10th birthday. She and her family managed to escape Austria during the Holocaust, finding refuge in the slums of Havana, Cuba. They made their way to the United States in the late 1940s, a transition that put Eisler on a path towards gaining notoriety as a systems scientist, futurist, attorney, and author. Still active, Eisler continues to pour her mind and passion into her work. In her conversation with Women to Watch's Sue Rocco, Eisler explains why she considers the word “persistence” to be her middle name, and shares thought-provoking learnings from her decades-long career.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/women-to-watch-r/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Nobody likes change, but everyone loves a behind-the-scenes look at how things work at 11:59 - so we oblige. We hope you'll still love us after this rare look at the guts of our operations. Be gentle. We are all human. And in the episode, we jess get right into it. We cover the case of a horrible human who not only has the middle name of Wayne (statistically one of the most common middle-names of criminals in the US) but he also chooses the most horrible choices for himself and many others. He's horrible. He's a coward. And you'll agree. And on the happy ending, The Op's memory takes a dump, but he makes up for it with a call that'll keep you buzzing all the way to the hospital.
