In this Exchange, McCutcheon sat down with Resident Advisor's editor, Gabriel Szatan, in London to reflect on the label's Afrofuturist philosophy, its journey over the past decade and the sense of purpose and direction that have developed over time. Ia pun mengangkat sebuah batu besar lalu meletakkannya tepat di atas kelapa yang sedang bertunas tadi. Sambil tersenyum puas, pria itu pergi. Meskipun sang kelapa telah berusaha sekuat tenaga untuk menyingkirkan batu itu, namun batu itu tidak bergerak sedikitpun. Satu-satunya cara agar ia tetap tumbuh, ia menancapkan akar akarnya ke bawah sampai mencapai sumber air yang cukup untuk pertumbuhannya. Semakin hari akar-akarnya semakin kuat dan iapun berhasil tumbuh dengan meliukkan tunasnya untuk menghindari batu tersebut. Akibatnya ketika kita tidak merasa mampu lagi menanggung beban itu, iman kita menjadi lemah dan kita mulai kecewa terhadap Tuhan. Sebenarnya tahan atau tidaknya kita dalam tekanan, terletak pada cara kita menyikapi tekanan tersebut. Orang yang mau maju tidak akan pernah memandang tekanan sebagai beban berat yang akan menyebabkannya jatuh. Sebaliknya ia akan memandang itu sebagai pendorong semangat untuk berusaha dan terus bertekun. Jangan selalu meminta agar Tuhan mengangkat beban kita, tetapi mintalah kekuatan untuk dapat bertahan dan menang atas setiap tekanan yang ada, maka iman dan kepribadian kita akan semakin didewasakan. Tuhan Yesus memberkati.Doa:Tuhan Yesus, aku tidak meminta agar Engkau mengangkat beban hidupku, tetapi berilah aku kekuatan untuk menanggungnya. Club futurism and a stack of new material from one of São Paulo's boldest shapeshifters. BADSISTA doesn't do stasis. In fact, he prefers to be in a constant state of motion. It was immediately obvious when the São Paulo artist broke out with his 2016 self-titled EP, in which a bass-heavy melange of baile funk, dembow and trap demonstrated an ability to satiate almost any dance floor. But BADSISTA continued to evolve through the different moods and textures of the club: from experimental compositions with Brazilian trans icon Linn Da Quebrada to ballroom bass and heads-down funk shellers for TraTraTrax. This RA Podcast finds BADSISTA in a fluid place once more. The mood starts out slow and moody—one of a slew of unreleased BADSISTA tracks—before seamlessly morphing into the soul-stirring synthwork of Al Lover Meets Cairo Liberation Front. Then he gets playful: tasteful, techy house morphs into smutty baile funk. (And as for the guests, look out for Sully's "XT" and a spicy Batu rework.) BADSISTA's style is connected by a uniquely Latin sense of rhythm and groove. Here, dramatic synths build up to even more dramatic funk crescendos. Perreo rattles appear in and out of the mix, as if acting as a reminder for people to move. But really, above all, this mix radiates with aliveness. When you whittle it down to the bare essentials, all that matters is the joy and connectivity you feel within yourself and the world around you. Mikhail of Chernihiv, the Grand Prince of Kyiv and Prince of Chernihiv, went to several neighboring states to ask for help fighting the Golden Horde -- he had the idea that there would be strength in alliance -- but nobody would help, on account of they were too busy fighting each other, and also the Mongols had not actually gotten to their houses yet, so why should they care. Then the Golden Horde destroyed Kyiv, and told Mikhail he had to come give obeisance to Batu Khan, and he did that, but he wouldn't worship idols, which was part of the deal, so the Golden Horde executed him. And then he pretty quickly became venerated, and then a saint as a martyr, and his relics were taken to Chernihiv but now they are in Moscow. Besides all that, MIchelle is totally impressed by the number of his vitae surviving. Also that Batu Khan is connected to Russian Atlantis. Also there is a kangaroo. (Spoiler alert: the Golden Horde did in fact get to those other neighboring states, after they had finished looting Kyivan Rus.)

Many Mongols, most prominently Börte's next son Chagatai, disagreed; these tensions eventually led to both Chagatai and Jochi being excluded from the line of succession to the Mongol throne.After Temüjin founded the Mongol Empire in 1206 and took the name Genghis Khan, he entrusted Jochi with nine thousand warriors and a large territory in the west of the Mongol heartland; Jochi commanded and participated in numerous campaigns to secure and extend Mongol power in the region. He was also a prominent commander during the invasion of the Khwarazmian Empire (1219–1221), during which he subdued cities and tribes to the north. During the 1221 Siege of Gurganj, tensions arose between him, his brothers, and Genghis, which never healed. Jochi was still estranged from his family when he died of ill health c. 1225.
