The Fate of the Fallen, from our Midweek Bible Study: "Book of Jude" - 3.18.26 Taught by Russell Howard. Unbelief is not a passive thing. It is active, dangerous, and Scripture takes it with complete seriousness. In this Wednesday night teaching, Pastor Russell Howard works through Jude 5-7, showing how three Old Testament examples, apostate Jews, fallen angels, and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, each trace the same fatal pattern: unbelief leads to rebellion, and rebellion leads to judgment. He addresses the difference between someone who has genuinely trusted Christ and someone who has only ever dabbled around the edges of Christianity. Whether you are wrestling with doubt, examining your own faith, or trying to understand what the Bible says about those who walk away, this teaching gives you a biblical framework to think clearly and stand firm. ➡️ PODCAST CHANNELS McGregor Podcast: https://mcgregorpodcast.com Here at Home: https://hereathomepodcast.com Talk Truth: https://talktruthpodcast.com New to McGregor? Has Angela met her match in the ultimate bolognese battle? Joe Wilkinson is an English comedian, actor, podcaster, screenwriter and star of the new Waitrose Christmas advert. Joe first came to prominence in the BBC Three show Him & Her before further acting roles in Derek, Miranda and After Life. He has also brought his impeccable comedy timing to shows including Russell Howard's Good News, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Last One Laughing and Taskmaster as well as proving ever-faithful on this year's Celebrity Traitors. He also hosts an almost-daily podcast called Chatabix with his long-term writing partner, David Earl. Joe's favourite food is his own bolognese, which leads to a forensic breakdown of his process and the chance for Angela to impress with the best bolognese. Does it cut it with Joe? What about Marmite? How liberal should you be with the Italian mixed herbs? All these questions are answered alongside a glass of Zeno Alcohol-Liberated Red for Joe and a wine pairing of Villa Antinori for Nick and Angela. We start the show with a Fever-Tree Non-Alcoholic Italian Spritz. We loved Joe's list of food likes and dislikes, and need to thank his wife Petra for supplying all the extra details, including his fondness for slow-roasted meat and dedication to planning the perfect takeaway. We also get to hear all about his turn as a leading man in the Waitrose Christmas ad opposite Keira Knightley, including how he diffused any tension on the day of their kiss… You can watch full episodes of Dish on YouTube and, new for this season, on Spotify. She spoke about how much trickier it was actually being on compared to being a fan and watching the show at home. Jeremy Alder! Comedian! Ex-preacher! Almost A Grown Man! Friend! Delight! More! We have a great chat! You have a great listen! About Jeremy Alder: Homeschooled in the heart of Texas by fundamentalist missionary parents with a penchant for conspiracy theories, Jeremy's childhood was anything but conventional. Now married with children of his own, Jeremy's material delves into the trials and tribulations of growing up homeschooled, the complications of religion, the mysteries of marriage, the chaos of parenting, and the existential crisis of aging—all with a healthy dose of skepticism and silliness, dry wit and charm. Jeremy headlines comedy clubs and bars around the country and has opened for several nationally touring acts, including Demetri Martin, Russell Howard, Tom Papa, Aparna Nancherla, Nicole Byer, and Chad Daniels. He has been a featured performer at numerous comedy festivals, including Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, Big Sky Comedy Festival (Best of Fest), Asheville Comedy Festival, and Cleveland Comedy Festival (Best of Fest). Jeremy's Dry Bar Comedy special, “Purity Pants”, has generated over 6 million across platforms. About his album "Almost A Grown Man": Jeremy Alder's debut comedy album Almost A Grown Man is out courtesy of Blonde Medicine. A ‘güero' born, raised and homeschooled in South Texas, Jeremy was steeped in a world of alternative facts and fervent beliefs and learned early on to find humor in life's absurdities. Alder started comedy 10 years ago and now he's got an autobiographical hour of jokes and stories about growing up weirdly religious and homeschooled in Texas, young marriage, remarriage, and fatherhood. Also, plenty of God, sex, drugs, and guns to keep it interesting. The album was recorded in the historic small town of Hillsborough, North Carolina, where Jeremy lives. Said Alder, “I recorded the album at a bar around the corner from my house. There were a lot of locals there, including the mayor, as well as my wife and kids. It felt like a community event!” Jeremy went to seminary after college, where he developed a humorous and provocative preaching style that sometimes got him in trouble. When a personal crisis led him to stop preaching and going to church, he turned to standup. The comedy community quickly became his new spiritual home, which he will be the first to tell you, is not a good thing. Jeremy met label heads Dominic Del Bene and Jessica Mozes by coincidence outside a show and found another supportive community in Blonde Medicine. Almost a Grown Man will is available wherever comedy is heard. Thanks for listening! And this is only the first HALF of our conversation.
