On the Friday edition of the North Shore Dive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Ray Fittipaldo ponder GM Omar Khan's trade options in the upcoming NFL draft. Would he be more likely to trade up a chase his preferred big-name receiver from the group of Denzel Boston, Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson and Makai Lemon? Or trade back with an eye toward stockpiling 2027 draft capital, when big-name quarterbacks like Dante Moore, Arch Manning, Sam Leavitt, Julian Sayin and LaNorris Sellers are expected to be available? Or is it possible that the right pick could fall to them at No. 21 in the eyes of top draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah? Our duo tackles those questions, then talks need at "playmaker" positions like corner, safety and receiver. Should getting secondary help for Joey Porter Jr. be a top priority, as the future for internal options like James Pierre, Asante Samuel Jr. and Jalen Ramsey looks murky? Could a top safety like Caleb Downs, Dillon Thieneman, Emmanuel McNeil-Warren or Bud Clark be a wise investment given the depth of this class at that position? Why are Chris Johnson and Keonte Scott corners potentially worth watching? And will receivers like Jordyn Tyson, Denzel Boston, Carnell Tate and others be available in enough abundance to help the 2026 team? Our duo tackles those questions and more. A sleeper isn't "trendy"; it's a team with QB clarity, a defined identity, and a narrow schedule path. That is why McElroy has Utah, Florida, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State, Wisconsin and more as teams he thinks will be “sleepers” in 2026. Plus, McElroy explains why we are about to enter into a “quarterback reset” year. How fast can Sam Leavitt and Lane Kiffin build chemistry in the SEC? Will Darian Mensah be able to win tight games in November, can Michigan build a system tailored around Bryce Underwood's strengths rather than forcing him into an old mold, can homegrown talent still win at Clemson in a portal economy and so much more. -CBS Sports did a deep dive on the Top 100 transfers and where they landed—Sam Leavitt was tops on the list in going to LSU, andformer Husker Princewill Umanmielen was 5 th in also going to LSU, while Keona Davis was 83 rd going to Miami (FL)-None of the additions for Nebraska made the Top 100…is it that hard to assess how players will do at other schools or was it asunderwhelming of a haul that this would indicate? (Kenny Minchey was No. 80 going to Kentucky….no Anthony Colandrea on list)Our Sponsors:* Check out Aura.com: https://aura.com/remove* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.com* Check out Progressive: https://www.progressive.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

We are less than a week away from the National Championship game, but just because there are only two teams left playing does not mean there is a lack of news coming from the teams that are already in their offseason. In fact, it is quite the opposite as the transfer portal is in full swing, and it is chaotic, as usual. Players are transferring left and right, and two premiere quarterbacks have come off of the board. Sam Leavitt has committed to LSU and Dylan Raiola has committed to Oregon. Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey discuss both of these quarterbacks. They give their thoughts on what the pairing of Sam Leavitt and Lane Kiffin could be. They also discuss the shift with Dylan Raiola. There has still been no word, at the time of this taping, if Dante Moore is returning to Oregon. If he does, that would mean Raiola would be sitting behind Moore for a year. The guys talk about what impact this could have on Raiola's future. Then, they look at another quarterback who is potentially off of the board. Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson announced that he is leaving Alabama and entering the NFL draft. However, multiple schools are reportedly offering him lucrative NIL deals to stay in college for another year. Andy, Ross and Godfrey discuss this decision and how finances affect college athletes differently. Plus, the guys dive into the topic of navigating the NIL "cap". Ross explains the impact that multimedia rights partners have in this situation. They then discuss how revenue sharing, multimedia rights and other NIL funds are used to circumvent the $20 million "cap."Get caught up with all of the transfer portal drama with College Football Enquirer.0:00:00 - Transfer quarterbacks2:55 - Sam Leavitt to LSU10:40 - How money impacts QB transfers15:54 - Dylan Raiola to Oregon24:00 - Will Ty Simpson enter the NFL or transfer?34:30 - Multimedia rights & navigating the "cap" Subscribe to the College Football Enquirer on your favorite podcast app:
