On today's episode of Let's Be Friends, our frequent guest and contributor Nick Hinton returns to take a second look at the fake apocalypse theory we discussed back in 2022. Since then, it seems some of the predictions we made have come to pass, including the false revival, the right-wing taking over the country, conspiracies going mainstream, and the arrival of an AI antichrist spirit that's influencing leaders like Donald Trump and Elon Musk.We also discuss other subjects from the previous series, like the false gospel of churchianity. However, we discuss it from our new orthodox perspective. It turns out the Holy Fathers already had a name for this! They called it moralism, which was the same sickness the Pharisees suffered from. Today's Gospel Testimony: 09-07-25 Sermon Title: Whose Righteousness then? Text: Ezekiel 14 1. One who is born of a woman does not have as many problems as they suppose. 2. That is what seems to suggest to all and sundry. 3. However, the child of a woman faces one problem ONLY. And it is how they shall meet with a holy and righteous God in peace. 4. There is a meeting with God, but standing on what ground? Standing in peace or pieces? 5. How does a sinner meet with God? What does God require and how has He answered the question? 6. Unless our answer squares with God's answer we have a FALSE GOSPEL. 7. But God has not been silent about the matter. He preached the testimony in our text, which we shall explore, the Lord opening ears as He wills. AND IT IS FREE!

The Churches of Galatia had gladly received the good news of freedom from the guilt, condemnation, and power of sin that Christ brings to all who trust alone in Christ alone. Through the preaching of Paul they had begun walking in this liberty purchased for them by Christ (in about 46-47 A.D), but within a couple years, false teachers (Jewish converts to Christianity) were promoting another gospel, which was really not another gospel (good news), but was bad news for sinners. It implied that Christ's perfect righteousness and perfect sacrifice for sin were not sufficient for the complete justification of a believing sinner before a holy God. To Christ's perfect work must be added one's own obedience to God's law in order to be declared righteous by God, it was claimed. Paul writes this letter to expose this false gospel of bondage and to expound the true gospel of freedom in Christ.

Many false versions of the gospel are flourishing in the Church right now—what are they, and how can we recognize them? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the symptoms of widespread deception, distortion, and manipulation happening under the umbrella of “faith” today. He warns us to live with an awareness of messages that pervert the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ to fit a popular worldview, agenda, or cultural fad. We learn from Peter and Paul that this is not a new problem; it's an age-old issue. To remain grounded in the Truth, we need to stay close to our Shepherd, the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

In the Old Testament the Lord Himself many times appealed to Israel as His covenanted wife to be faithful to Him and likewise condemned the lovers of Israel who seduced her. Therefore, when we find the Apostle Paul using very strong language in this inspired Letter to the Galatians (perhaps the strongest he uses in all his New Testament letters), he is fully justified in condemning the seducers who were seeking to lead these new Christians from Christ and the truth of the gospel which he preached unto them. It ought not to be shocking to us to hear Paul fighting for the souls of those who are being misled into very dangerous errors and heresies. That's what faithful ministers do—they fight for the souls of those sheep that Christ has given to them to shepherd.
