Head coach Will Hardy speaks with the media after the Jazz's dominant win to cap off their home schedule, taking down the Memphis Grizzlies 147-101 on April 10, 2026
The Utah Jazz have been mighty frisky over the past two months in the throes of trying to tank away the season. Credit to the players and Will Hardy for playing hard and making a lot of these games interesting, right?Well the Jazz decided those calls were just too close for comfort, so the Jazz decide to sign two...less-than-qualified...G-League role players to sop up 40+ minutes in random games in an effort to really, really ensure Utah loses basketball games. (Spoiler alert: Utah STILL was competitive in a number of games against top competition! They also lost to the Wizards by 20.)Mark Russell Pereira (@markrussellpereira.bsky.social) had to sound off about this brazen flaunting of watchable basketball. Giving a ton of minutes to your deep prospects and two-way guys is one thing, but this felt like something else. It's not all negative though, as the broader Utah Jazz prospect class has looked terrific over the past month, and Mark recaps the wild successes of Ace Bailey & Co. in the month of March.

Head coach Will Hardy speaks with the media after the Jazz's narrow road loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on March 4, 2026
On the Relentless Pursuit Podcast, host Joe Adams interviews Will Hardy, a real estate entrepreneur and film producer who sold his company, moved back to Kentucky, and transformed an abandoned Holiday Inn in Bardstown into The Trail Hotel, a bourbon-centric boutique destination with 95 rooms, multiple bars, a restaurant, and a “bourbon butler” concierge. Will describes a “dark night of the soul” at age 43 that he calls a “Divine interruption,” leading him into therapy, inner healing, and a more intentional second half of life. He shares childhood influences, performance-driven insecurity, body shame, and intense fasting that preceded back-to-back lung collapses during the 2008 crash, plus rebuilding through roofing sales and scaling a large Atlanta house-flipping business. He discusses selling everything, relocating his family, and pursuing hope-filled filmmaking, including his upcoming film “Hershey,” and his podcast “Enter Up.”This episode is for the man carrying pressure in silence… and for anyone who's been forced to rebuild their life from scratch.Connect with Will:• Podcast: Enter Up• Website: enteruptwithwill.com• The Trail Hotel (Bardstown, KY)00:00 Leap To Bourbon Country01:24 Podcast Welcome And Guest Intro02:57 Trail Hotel Vision04:09 Divine Interruption Awakening07:33 Midlife Battles And Burnout08:15 Kentucky Roots And Sports09:18 Finding Acting In High School12:42 Grandfather Legacy Lessons14:45 Doing The Inner Work16:30 Proving Yourself Vow21:12 Childhood Wounds And Body Shame27:23 LA Leap And Real Estate Breakthrough30:48 Faith Fear And Getting Moving34:10 Enjoying The Journey36:32 Fear and paralysis37:21 Parenting against fear38:46 Take the shot mindset40:13 Leaving ministry and burnout41:13 2008 crash and lung collapse44:47 Roofing hustle comeback46:34 Flipping boom and rentals49:27 Dark night and sell it all51:53 Buying the bourbon hotel56:18 Hotel lessons in leadership01:02:38 Why therapy now01:08:41 Relentless pursuit and wrap01:11:56 Healing in many lanes#RelentlessPursuitPodcast #WillHardy #MensMentalHealth #Therapy #TraumaHealing #EntrepreneurMindset #DarkNightOfTheSoul #FaithAndHealing #PersonalDevelopment #StartingOver #RealEstateInvesting #BourbonTrail #Leadership #HealingJourney #Mindset

0:00 ... Show open ... Ross introduces panel and dedicates show #223 to Jaren Jackson Jr, the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year. 1:17 ... Dave's former team, the Clippers have played well the past month but still became sellers at the deadline ... what was their plan? 2:55 ... The Memphis Grizzlies sent Jaren Jackson Jr to the Utah Jazz in a curious move. Is there any sense to this move and some other recent moves like trading Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane? 6:26 ... Dave worked with Danny Ainge in Boston where he pulled off a trade for Ray Allen that helped the Celtics acquire Kevin Garnett and win a title. Can he pull off a similar trick in Utah? 8:52 ... Utah basically tanked a winnable game last weekend against Orlando ... was it a bad look for the league that needs to be addressed? 10:55 ... Will Jazz coach Will Hardy start feeling the pressure next year with a better group of players? 11:45 ... The Washington Wizards seem to be moving away from their young players by acquiring veterans like Trae Young, Anthony Davis, D'Angelo Russell, and some others. Will it stifle the progress their young guys were making? 14:34 ... The Wizards seem like a rudderless ship but Dave feels their new GM Michael Winger is smart and there may be subsequent steps involving the guys they acquired. 15:54 ... What about the Celtics trading Anfrenee Simons and getting back Nik Vucevich? Dave loves the deal for Boston. Dave also feels like Brad Stevens has done amazing work in making smart moves while keeping the team in good financial shape. 18:27 ... Payton Pritchard is back to his 6th man role with the departure of Simons. Dave loves this role for him because Pritchard proved he could start in the league and he'll have lots of freedom on the second unit. 20:06 ... Jonathan Kuminga was traded from Golden State to Atlanta with Kristaps Porzingis going to the Warriors ... how does this affect their playoff chances? 21:30 ... How does Kuminga fit in in Atlanta? 23:22 ... What does Giannis Antetokounmpo's future look like? Is he staying in Milwaukee for the long haul? 24:43 ... Expect to see Giannis in Milwaukee at the start of next season. Giannis is very loyal. Dave compares him to what Kevin Garnett went through in Minnesota. 26:09 ... Orlando was quiet at the trade deadline. They're a well coached team with a good roster but they should be better. 27:16 ... Fun topics to cloe the show... how serious are the Philadelphia 76ers as contenders in the east? 28:27 ... The Charlotte Hornets have been on fire ... do they have a chance to make the postseason? 29:48 ... Dave feels Sacramento is the opposite of the Hornets ... they haven't been to the Finals since 1951 and the owner keeps firing good coaches. No reason for excitement in SacTown. 32:13 ... The Bulls have made a bunch of trades and didn't get any first round picks while some of their guys made contributions elsewhere. They never seem to have a breakout season but it's hard to see what direction they're moving in. 33:59 ... Injuries have been a problem across the league and it's making some good players ineligible for postseason awards due to the 65 game rule. Can anything be done? 36:25 ... Is there anything about the style of play that is causing injuries to occur more frequently? Dave cites some examples of random injuries 38:46 ... LeBron James needs to play every game the rest of the way since he would need to do that to reach 65 games played. If he does it, is that good for the team? Dave transitions into a fun story about how he once played just 5 seconds in a game, and went into that game at the 47:55 mark. 43:49 ... Can the Spurs be a serious contender? Dave feels like they can and also ticks off some other teams he feels can win it all. 46:49 ... Ross wraps things up and closes out the show. TRT 47:21 Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
