Are you willing to step outside your comfort zone and be vulnerable in order to uncover the divine plan God has in store for you?If you had asked me that question two years ago, my reply would have been a hard pass. I was so comfortable making money and ignoring the inner work. In fact, I was convinced that I was a good person who was going to heaven because I tithed, gave to the poor and hadn't killed anyone (though I'd been tried).Fast forward to 2022 and God began to transform my answer to that question before my very eyes. You see, prior to me rededicating my life to God, I was a rule-following, people-pleasing, worrying, realist who was afraid to hope, and addicted to busyness and ever chasing the elusive perfectionism. And the sad thing is I didn't know anything was wrong. And if those things weren't bad enough, under the surface, I was a suicidal, angry, control freak with a victim complex. This was before Jesus set me free. Now, I'm a joyful, free, far from perfect, but a work in progress who can proudly proclaim my deepest darkest secrets on this podcast because my redeemer lives and He came to set the captives free. This is a show that's here to give you permission to show up and step into your God-given purpose.I'm your host, Semonna McNeil, and I'm a believer and follower of Jesus, a wife, a mom of 5 and I've been an entrepreneur for over 15 years. As it says in 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT) - For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.In this podcast, you will hear about:The lies we tell ourselves that keep us stuckHow motherhood equips and prepares us for entrepreneurship (and why it's not a hindrance)The importance of living a disciplined life andOf course, ways to spot fear and overcome it.Be on the lookout for episodes from yours truly along with some exciting interviews with industry experts. We'll also explore how the Bible can give us strategy and insight to help us thrive in motherhood and entrepreneurship. We'll learn how faith isn't just a component (or secret) reserved for our personal lives, but also a guiding force in our professional journeys. So, if you're a Christian mom, dreaming of entrepreneurship, or dreaming about bringing your calling to life, 'You Are Meant for More' is the podcast for you. We're here to tell you that you already have the courage to overcome comfort, to face down fear, and to step into the life you're meant to live.Join me on this journey as we choose 'Courage over comfort: That means choosing Less fear and More faith so you can Unlearn Societal Norms & Unleash your purpose.' Money in your relationship will come up eventually, whether you want it to or not. Or one of you might want to put something in your name because one person has good credit while the other doesn't. But must you have your financial situation in order before you start dating? That's not a question with a simple yes or no answer. So in this episode of the Love Life Connection podcast, you'll learn about what I think you do and don't need to have, financially-speaking, before you date. “He who jumps the impossible has little competition. It's time to just raise our own standards and not settle for what's mediocre because He's provided us so much more than that.” -Krystal Zellmer Jump into the impossible! This is a solid call to action—to jump into something that seems impossible for anyone else but us. But it could also be taken as a warning—if we do not grab that opportunity, we could leave ourselves vulnerable to someone else who's willing to take the risk. The idea is simple and clear: If everyone else is saying it's impossible, then maybe it's not so impossible after all. Maybe it's just a matter of perspective—and if there's one thing we have in spades, it's perspective! If no one else sees what we see in our vision, that means no one else will get there either. So there's only one way for us to go, and that is up! In this episode, Daniel interviews the co-owner of Klemmer Coaching Academy, Krystal Zellmer. Being a young executive left with the legacy of his father to uphold, Krystal felt inadequate and undeserving. But if there's one thing that does not appear in her dictionary, it's the phrase “I can't.” She was able to climb one level after another and become someone others can rely on and look up to. But first, she had to start by overcoming the negative belief system that this society is trying to engrave in all of us. Listen in as Daniel and Krystal discuss these common belief systems that get us stuck, what action steps we can take to overcome them, and why being complacent puts us in a dangerous space. Our journey is not well-defined. Sometimes, not knowing you can't do it is all it takes. If you have spent any time in the dating scene as of late, you know navigating those waters can be murky as hell. So what is one to do if you want to attract meaningful, rich, connected love in your life? Like, where the fuck are those folks? The ones who do the work on themselves, who understand their wants and needs, and who can actually use their god-damned words!!? Since I've been hangin' out with Mr. Smith for nearly a quarter century, I thought it would be helpful to dial up an expert who knows a thing or two (or forty) about dealing with today's dating landscape and how you can reclaim your personal power in such a vulnerable space. Creep our conversation where Veronica shares how she uses Inner Child Work with all her clients and students and also shares how she works with The Rule of 3… Meaning if you notice a pattern in your dating life that occurs three or more times, it's probably time for some introspection. She also walks us through a series of analysis elements you can use to explore where things may be going awry. This pod explores: How Veronica's relationship with her body highly influenced the quality of partners she was attracting (and what she did to shift that) How to work with The Rule of Three to examine detrimental patterns in your dating life Veronica's three-part process to work with your Inner Child and heal wounds that affect your ability to attract love Understanding how the Law of Attraction can be toxic positivity and actually kinda gaslight-y… especially when it comes to love HIRE ME TO SPEAK AT YOUR EVENT! We've all likely dealt with stressing around money at some point. If you're living under constant money stress, it can keep you up at night. Now, there's the fear with literally not having enough money in your bank account and you've got bills to pay. But that's not the kind of money stress I mean. What about when the money is in your account and you have a good job or business to keep it flowing, but you still feel the stress? Just like being in codependent relationships or repeating people-pleasing patterns can wreak havoc on your emotions and sense of self-worth, your money stories can serve a similar function. So in this episode, I really want to talk about my broad framework for clearing money blocks that you can use to heal your financial shit. 9:53 - How I define the word “block” (of any kind) and examples of my former money blocks 12:34 - The fluid way you can work with my four-part framework 13:08 - Discussing the first part of the framework 17:58 - How Suze Orman stressed me out and Ramit Sethi helped me de-stress 24:04 - Rethinking how money can help you have a life you want to live 26:40 - Why you'll probably want to revisit the second part of the framework every year 27:57 - Part three of the framework: the B word and how it gives you so much freedom 37:43 - Money as an energetic exchange and a prevalent belief about money and work 45:04 - Why purpose and passion aren't necessarily the same thing 47:48 - Recapping the four parts and why I wanted to share this episode at this time I hope you enjoyed this episode! Find me on Instagram or email me with your feedback. I look forward to hearing from you! After you listen to this episode, here are your next steps: Pre-order my book You Are Meant for Love. We interconnect money and love on energetic, emotional, and even spiritual levels too. Long-time listeners might get a sense of déjà vu with today's show. This is a coaching call from 2019 but a very popular, timely, and super relatable one. That's because what my guest Andree-Anne and I discuss is something a lot of women, including myself, have experienced. If you tend to get wrapped up emotionally (and physically) with new partners long before any real connection gets made, you're not alone. Listen in as I help Andree-Anne discover the truth behind her relationship attachment tendencies and offer strategies for breaking the pattern. 12:11 - Questions to keep in mind as you listen to this coaching call 15:22 - Why Andree-Anne feels she gets attached to guys too fast 18:39 - The pattern she has seen since the age of four that she fears is playing out in her own love life 23:58 - A short, complete-the-sentence exercise to get to the uncomfortable truth behind her issue 27:00 - What she believes a relationship will provide her that she can't provide for herself now 28:15 - How she can connect with herself and find her identity, regardless of what's happening romantically 33:32 - Andree-Anne put on the spot with a hard question to answer 35:28 - Tangible ideas to put into practice to help release relationship attachment 39:02 - Andree-Anne's biggest takeaway from our coaching call 45:23 - Why you do know the answer to this question I asked Andree-Anne, even if you think you don't 48:18 - Something that needs to be said before I wrap up the episode 51:14 - Recapping a couple of questions to answer in your journal 53:14 - Answering a question that comes up a lot with potential clients I hope you enjoyed this episode! When people ask me about strategies for online dating, it's difficult to answer. There's usually another, deeper question underneath the initial one like, “Why am I not attracting this person?” or “Why is this happening to me online?” However, I have found that online dating tends to be a microcosm of whatever pattern you're playing out. So in this episode, I dig into some methods to help you rethink your approach. I offer four easy, soulful strategies you can use to create more connection in your online dating experience with a whole lot less burnout. 1:11 - Choosing alternatives to your typical New Year's celebrations 6:11 - Why I'm talking about online dating now 12:23 - Strategy #1 gives the middle finger to a giant myth about online dating 15:43 - Online dating from a different angle with the “swipe right” strategy 19:38 - How the “shit or get off the pot” strategy can save you time and energy 25:42 - How to use the “show, not tell” strategy on your dating profile I hope you enjoyed this episode! Lots of people have a hate-hate relationship with online dating and believe it's responsible for their love life woes. But online dating isn't inherently good or bad. It's just a neutral space, like a bar or the workplace. I find that people likely manifest their online dating experience based on their larger relationship pattern which brings me to my caller today, Erin. She's frustrated because she's unable to replicate the online dating success her friends enjoy and wants to know what she's doing wrong. As you listen, though, you'll discover why online dating practices aren't her main issue. 10:04 - Erin describes the dating pattern she's had in relationships 14:06 - The first thing that pops into Erin's head during a short exercise 16:52 - Why Erin lost her sense of security and how she's tried to gain it back 21:35 - How Erin's upbringing led to a lack of trust in her ability to provide security for herself 23:15 - A bit of a woo-woo spiritual exercise I take Erin through 27:31 - The mistake some overly-dependent people can make in relationships 29:05 - How Erin's view of her parents contributes to the real issue she's having in her love life 32:18 - Another version of self to look at, besides the inner child 38:20 - Summarizing and expanding on key points from the coaching call 43:35 - Tips for getting people off the pedestal you put them on I hope you enjoyed this episode! I'm about to say something controversial, even seemingly contradictory. I love manifesting, but the law of attraction is crap. And I love talking crap about it because it grinds my gears how much harm it does. For too long, it's been used as a force of manipulation across the personal development, wellness, and MLM industries and can actually lead to more frustration in your love life. So in this episode, I want to focus on why the law of attraction is so toxic and how you can manifest without it. 8:07 - Why the popular comparison of the law of attraction to the law of gravity doesn't work and is really harmful 10:54 - The huge flaw in equating the law of attraction with quantum physics 14:01 - One area where the law of attraction is useful (but even this comes with a caveat) 17:12 - Another big issue with the law of attraction and my theory about why it was popularized 20:33 - The simple, two-step process for manifesting what you want I hope you enjoyed this episode! You are supposed to be the weed. Jesus tells a parable about a master who sows wheat in a nice and orderly fashion. But someone sowed some weeds. This parable is typically interpreted to mean, “Okay, Christians. Be nice wheat. Stay in line. Don’t disrupt things. Just be nice little wheat.” But did you know… The post In an Unjust World, You Are Meant to be a Weed appeared first on Clackamas United Church of Christ.
