Let's talk about physical attraction as it relates to marriage. The Apostle John writes in 1 John 2:15:"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves this world, the love of the Father is not in them."That's a pretty serious charge in Scripture. And John continues:"For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—are not of the Father but are of this world."I start here because, let's face it—we live in a very sensuous and sexified culture. And you and I, as Christians, are people of this culture. A culture that very much exalts, promotes, and appeals to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes—the very things God calls us, as Christians, to renounce, not love.

Christian husbands, it's time to face a hard truth: being "nice" and passive isn't the key to a passionate marriage. Many of you have been misled by well-meaning but misguided advice that physical attraction doesn't matter in a godly union. This couldn't be further from the truth. The Bible speaks extensively about the importance of sexual intimacy in marriage, and it's time to reclaim this vital aspect of your relationship. To revive your marriage, you must embrace your God-given masculinity. This doesn't mean becoming a tyrant, but rather stepping up as a strong, confident leader who isn't afraid to pursue his wife. No more neediness or seeking validation - it's time to become the man your wife can't help but be attracted to. Remember, your faith alone won't ignite her desire. You need to embody the qualities of a true man warrior king: strength, passion, and unwavering commitment.Don't fall into the trap of believing that your wife's lack of attraction is solely her problem. Take ownership of your role in the relationship. Lead by example, both spiritually and physically. Reignite your own passion for life, for God, and for your wife. When you become the best version of yourself, your wife will naturally be drawn to you. This isn't about manipulation; it's about becoming the man God designed you to be.It's time to stop settling for a lukewarm marriage. You have the power to create the passionate, fulfilling relationship you both deserve. Don't let fear or false humility hold you back. Embrace your role as a leader, lover, and protector. Your wife is waiting for you to step up and be the man she can lean on, trust, and desire.Listen to the full episode of the Man Warrior King podcast to dive deeper into these truths. 193 - Formulas for Life In this episode, we delve into Patrick King's book, Social Equation, which offers practical formulas to enhance social interactions. Discover how to build trust, improve workplace harmony, and foster romantic relationships through King's insightful equations. Building trust is fundamental to any strong relationship, and Patrick King offers a straightforward formula to achieve this: Trustworthiness = Consistency x Reliability / Number of Betrayals. This emphasizes the importance of being consistent and reliable while minimizing betrayals to maintain and build trust. In the workplace, harmony is crucial for productivity and job satisfaction. King's formula for workplace harmony is Respect x Cooperation / Conflicts + Ego. By fostering respect and cooperation and reducing conflicts and ego clashes, a more harmonious and productive work environment can be created. For romantic relationships, King provides a more nuanced formula: Common Interest x Physical Attraction x Emotional Connection to the Power of Adaptability. This formula highlights the need for shared interests, physical and emotional attraction, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances to maintain a strong romantic bond. When it comes to effective learning, King suggests that it can be quantified as Curiosity x Engagement / Number of Distractions. Staying curious and engaged while minimizing distractions can significantly enhance learning efficiency. Friendships are built on four key components: proximity, frequency, duration, and intensity. King's formula for friendship development is Proximity + Frequency + Duration + Intensity. Maintaining frequent and meaningful interactions is essential for deepening friendships. Mastering small talk can be daunting, but King provides a simple strategy: answer the question asked, provide two additional lines of detail, and then pass the conversation back. This approach helps keep conversations engaging and dynamic, turning small talk into deeper, more meaningful exchanges. Introducing people to each other can be a powerful networking tool. King's formula for perfect introductions is Past + Future. Start by mentioning the present role of the person, then share something from their past that establishes credibility, and finally, suggest a future connection between the individuals. Takeaway Challenge:Create three personal formulas to tackle current problems. For example, a weight loss formula could be Burning Calories x Activity / Eating Calories + Sedentary Time. https://startwithsmallsteps.com/193-formulas-for-life/ Jill's Links https://abetterlifeinsmallsteps.com https://affiliate.notion.so/NorthwoodsJill https://affiliate.notion.so/NorthwoodsAI https://www.youtube.com/@startwithsmallstepspodcast https://www.buymeacoffee.com/smallstepspod https://twitter.com/SmallStepsPod Email the podcast at jill@startwithsmallsteps.com

This episode is going to be pretty spicy in a variety of ways. That's because we're going to think about the role that physical attraction plays in romantic relationships. In particular, were going to zoom in on three related topics:Firstly, what exactly does it mean to be “shallow,” and why is it even bad to be shallow?Secondly, even if we ourselves aren't shallow, society at large is. People are told in various subtle ways that they do or don't deserve to be with another person because of their physical attractiveness. So what should we think about these kinds of social hierarchies of attractiveness that get thrown at us? Lastly, is it ok to think that someone else is more physically attractive than our partner? If we are refusing to be shallow and instead choosing partners based on a more wholistic criteria, then isn't this a likely scenario? An insightful conversation with my guest Okechukwu about physical attraction in relationships!
We have had many couples we know personally, as well as others from our app and content messaging us, stating that they are losing physical attraction to their spouse or that they no longer feel physically attracted to their spouse for various reasons. The common questions are, "What can I do to regain physical attraction to my spouse again?" or "What can I do to make my spouse feel physically attracted to me again?" "What if I don't feel attractive anymore, and it is affecting my desire to be intimate with my spouse?"In this podcast episode, we discuss this important topic and the things couples can do to rekindle that physical attraction and become more appealing to their spouse. This might have less to do with the way you look and more to do with the emotional connection, self-confidence, positivity, and happiness in your marriage. If you haven't already, go check out the Ultimate Intimacy App in the app stores, or at ultimateintimacy.com to find "Ultimate Intimacy" in your marriage. The only chemical reaction we got this week was similar to Benzos -we were put to sleep! We were bored, but we had a hell of a lot of fun talking about it!There was a baby - and no I'm not talking about Mark acting all gaga for Hahn. Who, by the way, we are still SHOCKED at how we used to feel about her. Bailey is back playing Mother Hen to our residents, while Cali takes a break to break some bones. Speaking of bones, Izzie and George finally get their night. And then the next day, and the one after that, and the thing in the shower we never talk of again.
