Dive into this podcast to learn about the Qwerky Writer Mechanical Keyboard, a keyboard dedicated to those who want the greatest typewriter feeling under their fingertips at all times. Thanks to arrangements done by Qwerkytoys, what's reviewed here is of the latest QwerkyWriter S model. As you can hear, I could not be more than pleased with the design, build, and overall retro feel of this product. As you also hear, there are some some negatives, such as the right-shift key, but these to me have not detracted from using the device at all. While you can pick up another keyboard claiming a typewriter feel, I truly challenge you in these three qualities produced by the breadth of attention put in by the QwerkyWriter team. 4 connections at once. That includes a USB machine, and 3 over Bluetooth. At once, yes, you can have 4 devices at the same time and seamlessly switch among them. This can include a mix of mobile, desktop and gaming devices. Quality of build. These keys now use Cherry Blue switches, and beyond the one minor difference in my podcast, they are fully compatible with any key set you want to change it into. The customization is yours, and you get the superb clicky blue switches with a nice plating that gives it a typewriter clicking sound. I change my keys with the 104-key keycap set by Aukey to prevent the metal chrome on the original set from chipping in a non-portable situation that I'm using this keyboard in, such as my job. Finally, A stand which fits a Braille display. When it comes to both my Refreshabraille 18, and VarioUltra 40, this device will handle them comfortably. The Tablet stand, design to originally accommodate tablets fits Braille displays of many sizes and types. Let us know if yours also can fit in to the keyboard! I can use my displays slightly tilted with the cells towards me to read off any text as I type on the keyboard, increasing productivity. I definitely don't need a combined solution for a premium price, no sir, it's part of my keyboard. Overall, I could not be more than satisfied with the feel of each key, as they are consistent among presses. The entire plate of this QwerkyWriter is metal, and it is noticeable in quality to keyboards I previously tested. I'm confident that this keyboard will last me for years to come, and that it is a worthwhile product for many people, thus I bring this review to you as a journalist and professional.

CBT takes a look at the Google Home Mini with updated touch controls. Shortly after launching the Mini, Google disabled all touch controls due to an issue with the touch control on the top of the device constantly being triggered even when not touched. Google recently added some touch controls back to it’s Mini speaker. Here's what you can do: To play, pause, stop music playback or end a phone call, long-press on either side of the Home Mini. Stop a timer or alarm with a tap on either side of the device. Tap the left side to decrease volume. Tap the right side to increase volume. Touch control on the top of the Home Mini is still missing. You will need to summon Google Assistant using your voice, instead of a long-press on the top of Home Mini as was originally intended. If the long-press actions aren't working for you quite yet, be patient. An update is rolling out to all Google Home Mini devices to add the new touch controls.

CBT gives you our first impressions of the Google Pixel 2 XL. Find out how this maybe the best of 2017. Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL both use Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processors with 4GB RAM. (You can also choose between 64GB and 128GB options.) They have the same camera, processor, and speaker specs. They have 12.2-megapixel rear cameras that have an autofocus with laser and dual-pixel phase detection, and optical and electronic image stabilization. In the front, the Pixels have a fixed-focus 8-megapixel camera. Both phones use USB-C, but no wireless charging. There is no headphone jack and it runs on Bluetooth 5.0. The Pixel 2 XL has a bigger battery and a 6-inch screen with a 2880 x 1440 smart OLED resolution; the Pixel 2 has a 5-inch screen and 1920 x 1080 OLED resolution. This year’s XL is slightly bigger than last year’s 5.5-inch screen. The Pixel 2 is also slightly lighter and slimmer than the XL. The Pixel 2 comes in “kind of blue,” “just black,” and “clearly white. The regular price for the Pixel 2 64GB is $649, while the Pixel 2 XL 64GB costs $849. The 128GB variant costs $749 and 949. This is my weigh in on the iPhone ten unboxing! You know I opted not to ever set up emergency sos because of the fear of accidentally activating the darn thing! I am one who has severe anxiety and sudden loud noises scare me! My family had an alarm system and I had a medical alert pendant! So did my mom and dad and my grandmother! I triggered mine accidentally and it scared the bejesus out of me! Sirens going off and lights flashing and the loud voice of emergency services! Never mind that the alarm system contracts are the hardest things to get out of and I don’t recommend it! I am really surprised that apple made this feature so easily accessible! The 911 system has been overloaded with calls that were accidentally made! However I’m glad to know what it sounds like! There should be a prompt before a call is sent out! Hit okay or cancel! Something apple should have took more time to think it through! I think the watch would be better suited for a feature like this! A few months ago, I reviewed a label maker by Logan Tech which really raised the bar on how labels are created in terms of both ease of creation and the resulting crispness. While perhaps out of the price range for some, I still considered it a worthwhile investment which would enrich your life, well, for a lifetime of Braille. That's both important and powerful to me. But what if you don't yet know Braille? Label makers become useless for this target of the population, unless, of course, you can also teach them how to fish. (Or in our case, read Braille.) You have the option of buying both the Braille Coach and label maker as a combo, or Buy the coach learning system alone. In this show Nelson Régo Unboxes the New Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE. The series 3 38MM Apple Watch will have a Wi-Fi version priced at $329 and a LTE version priced at $399. The 42MM model costs an additional $30. The cellular version can take and receive calls and use apps without having to have an iPhone nearby. The watch’s phone number must be the same as the phone number already assigned to an iPhone 6 or later. The watch has 16GB of memory and has a distinctive red crown that distinguishes it from non-cellular models. Although Apple will still offer the series 1 watch for $249, the series 2 has been removed from their website.

Top Stories Accessibility Changes Coming On The iPhone X The new iPhone X has an edge-to-edge screen and no Home Button, but will be using the Sleep/Wake button on the upper right hand side instead for functions such as the triple click feature for accessibility users and initiating Siri commands. Although we have yet to get our hands on the device to test accessibility features for VoiceOver users, Sighted users can wake the iPhone X by tapping on the screen. Users can then access the home screen by swiping up from the bottom of the phone. Switching between apps also requires swiping up from the bottom of the displays. Additionally, users can switch between apps by swiping from the bottom left of the phone. Unlocking the phone is done with the company new Face ID technology. The phone will remain locked until the iPhone X is able to see the user and positively identify their face using the phone’s TrueDepth camera system. We reached out to Apple on how VoiceOver users will be accommodated on the iPhone x and this is what they told us: "The iPhone X has been designed with a number of accessibility features to support its use. There was talk of Blitab being commercially available and I think there is an ability to preorder, (though am not certain about that), and anyways I have been searching for stats and updates on the device and haven’t found anything recent. Their website doesn’t really make it clear as to which OS it runs, how exactly the braille cells operate and all the other information you would typically find on other products such as Braille Note or Braille Sense. I am interested in Blitab as opposed to the other options because apparently the user would have the ability to view an entire 15-or-so line page of braille at once, and the device is affordably priced. Even BrailleNote does not give the possibility of viewing an entire page before having to press the scroll button. I think a device where you could view an entire page at once similarly to how sighted people read on Kindle, is quite revolutionary. There may be braille displays out there with full page support (I don’t know), but this is the only device I have heard of that merges the capabilities of a tablet with the braille cell capacity of a full-page display, all in one device. and I am equally interested in the price as it apparently costs no more than a mobile phone, making it a much more available choice for people who do not have state/student programs to purchase the product. It could make braille tech access much more attainable in countries around the world that don’t have such widespread state sponsored support programs. I want to buy a braille device and am primarily interested in Blitab for its unique features. Does anyone at CBT have experience with the product? Any recent news as to its availability for order? One struggle I have right now is printing Envelopes with addresses on it. As of now, I can go through MS Word to Mailing to Envelopes and put in delivery and return address. However when I print, there is a Manual feed dialogue box come up. My IT Director and I tried working on this. Botton line is that I can alt + c to continue in this inaccessible box. However, half of the time it does not work the way you want too. So, it have suggested to me get a label maker unit and print labels to stick on the envelopes.
