Jeff Oxford is the Founder and SEO Director of 180 Marketing, an e-commerce SEO provider. With over seven years of experience in e-commerce SEO, he has led over 200 SEO campaigns for brands like MasterCard and Belkin. Jeff frequently speaks at industry conferences and created LinkHunter, a tool designed to streamline link outreach efforts. In this episode… As SEO becomes more complex, competitive, and intertwined with AI-driven search, e-commerce brands struggle to adapt. With constant algorithm updates, disappearing clicks, and the rise of AI search integrations, how can brands break through the noise and rank effectively without wasting time or falling behind? According to SEO strategist Jeff Oxford, ranking for SEO in an AI-driven landscape requires more than surface-level adjustments. Instead, Jeff recommends leveraging AI tools to improve rankings by providing them with detailed brand and audience information, focusing on topical authority by answering all relevant customer questions, and prioritizing backlinks and brand mentions to increase domain authority. Additionally, brands should be selective in their efforts by targeting specific funnel stages, optimizing category pages over blog posts for conversion, and aligning pricing with rankings. In the latest episode of the Up Arrow Podcast, William Harris chats with Jeff Oxford, Founder and SEO Director of 180 Marketing, about optimizing for SEO in a zero-click, AI-driven landscape. Jeff talks about ranking first for competitive keywords, his two-part framework for building topical authority, and how to improve AI search and visibility.
Michael Belkin, a long-time market strategist and editor of the Belkin Report and Belkin Gold Stock Forecast, joins us for an in-depth conversation on why gold and gold stocks may be the last assets standing in an increasingly volatile and overvalued global market. In this interview, Michael shares his evolving thesis since our last discussion in February, highlighting a parabolic move in gold, growing central bank demand, and how the supposed “most crowded trade”, as labeled in the recent Bank of America Global Fund Managers Survey, is still largely under-owned by institutional investors. Key Topics Discussed: Why the "crowded trade" label on gold may be misleading - and actually bullish. How central banks are steadily de-dollarizing and reallocating into gold. The disconnect between rising gold prices and underperforming gold equities. Top stock picks: Newmont (NEM), Kinross (KGC), Iamgold (IAG), Harmony Gold (HMY), and B2Gold (BTG). Michael's silver favorites: First Majestic (AG) and Endeavour Silver (EXK). Whether generalist fund managers will be forced into large-cap gold stocks as earnings surge. A bleak outlook for global equities, AI bubble stocks like Nvidia, and international markets like the DAX and China's FXI. Why gold equities may diverge positively from the broader market even in a downturn. Gold Stock Forecasts are available at: BGSF Discount Coupons are available upon request for KER listeners. This week, Dave welcomes Jyoti Malik, Senior Director of eCommerce at Belkin, to discuss how brands can leverage data & automation to stay competitive. With over 15 years in eCommerce and omni-channel strategy, Malik shares insights on the evolution of eCommerce, retail media, and AI-driven optimization, what has changed and what remains constant. She begins by reflecting on the early days of eCommerce, when it was more of an experiment than a necessity (4:28). As the landscape has evolved, automation has become a key optimization tool (6:19), helping brands expand their reach. Jyoti dives into the impact of AI on search (11:45) and how brands need to think about incorporating AI capabilities. Later, she and Dave discuss the trajectory of retail media (16:45) and its growing influence across industries. Throughout the conversation, one theme remains paramount: the customer. Malik emphasizes that the most effective way to grow a business is to work backward from the customer, understanding how they shop and what drives their decisions (23:57).Catch Dave at Bazaarvoice Summit 2025! He'll be there this Thursday, March 13 at 11:20AM CDT / 4:20PM GMT, for the panel “Retail Media Networks Reimagined: The Power of a Full-Funnel Content Strategy.” He'll be joined by Bazaarvoice's Jo Callahan and Mindshare's Jeff Malmad.Don't miss this discussion on how brands can integrate content and retail media into a full-funnel strategy. In this episode of Skin Anarchy, Dr. Ekta sits down with Dr. Daniel Belkin, a double board-certified dermatologist and laser expert, to break down the science behind laser treatments. From CO2 resurfacing to acne solutions and safe treatments for melanin-rich skin, Dr. Belkin demystifies how lasers work and what patients need to know before undergoing treatment.Dr. Belkin shares his journey from an artistic background to dermatologic surgery, where his passion for aesthetics and science led him to specialize in laser technology. He explains how lasers use specific wavelengths to target skin concerns like pigmentation, blood vessels, and wrinkles, offering precise and effective treatment options.A major highlight of the episode is the discussion on CO2 lasers, which are widely used for skin resurfacing and collagen stimulation. Dr. Belkin explains how these lasers improve fine lines, scars, and sun damage—particularly around the eyes—without the need for surgery. For acne, he clarifies that while lasers can reduce oil production and treat scarring, they are not a cure for active breakouts. Instead, combining laser treatments with medical therapies like Accutane leads to the best long-term results.Dr. Belkin also emphasizes the importance of treating darker skin tones carefully with specialized settings to prevent hyperpigmentation. He urges patients to seek trained professionals with deep knowledge of laser physics and safety.Whether you're considering laser hair removal, skin resurfacing, or acne treatments, this episode offers expert insights into the ever-evolving world of laser dermatology. Prepare to challenge your investment strategies as market analyst Michael Belkin of the Belkin Report joins me, Michael Guy, in an insightful discussion on the evolving global stock market landscape. Are we witnessing a slowly forming market top, particularly as emerging markets and European stocks stumble while US indexes continue to shine? Drawing on the wisdom of market legend John Templeton, we question whether maximum optimism might just be the key to identifying contrarian opportunities. With Belkin's rich background in market analysis and quant strategy, this episode promises a comprehensive exploration of current market conditions and potential turning points. Our conversation takes a deep dive into the forces shaping bond yields, from Federal Reserve policies to the aftermath of the Trump administration's economic maneuvers. We scrutinize the impact of tariffs, tax cuts, and the pandemic's fiscal stimuli, all of which fuel inflationary pressures and affect bond market sentiment. While skepticism looms over Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, we explore why gold and gold mining stocks might offer a safer haven, backed by recent central bank buying trends. The strong dollar's effect on emerging markets and the widening credit spreads are also dissected, giving you the tools to navigate these turbulent times.Turning our gaze to global geopolitics, we unravel the tensions in the Persian Gulf and Ukraine and their implications for market stability. As energy supplies risk disruption and geopolitical threats mount, how should investors adjust their portfolios? With insights from the Vail Investment Forum, we advocate for a shift towards energy, coal, and defensive stocks, while cautioning against the inflated tech and retail sectors. Michael Belkin's research reveals the intricacies of market sentiment, particularly the challenges small caps face in this high-rate environment. To stay ahead of the curve, learn how you can access Belkin's valuable insights through our recommended resources. The content in this program is for informational purposes only. The discussion kicks off with the buzz surrounding the newly released Vision Pro's Virtual Display features, including the recently added wide and ultra-wide options that have excited beta users. I share my first hands-on experiences with the new functionality, describing how it effectively allows the Vision Pro to function as an external display for Macs, simulating the feel of multiple 4K displays right in your workspace. The enthusiastic reactions from the team, especially those who have been actively testing the features, highlight the potential impact this will have on productivity. As we transition to upcoming accessories, we explore Belkin's newly launched travel case for the Vision Pro. At a more accessible price point than Apple's offerings, the Belkin case has generated positive feedback for its quality and design. Marty shares personal insights on headset cases and which options he prefers for travel, suggesting practical solutions tailored to frequent travelers. The conversation shifts gears as we touch on the recent changes in Apple's retail strategy for the Vision Pro demo areas. In light of some reports suggesting a slowdown in sales, Apple appears to be consolidating display setups in local stores. We analyze the implications of such a shift, especially in busy urban markets versus smaller retail locations, and the overall customer engagement in-store. Shifting our focus back to software, we discuss the features introduced with the iOS 18.2 beta, such as enhanced support for image manipulation with Genmoji and the integrations with ChatGPT. The initial impressions emerge—while amusing, these features still feel like they are in infancy, and genuine utility might take a while to be realized. We recount hilarious attempts at generating images and the peculiar outputs they yielded, underscoring the quirks of AI-driven technology. The discussion spins back to hardware with news of the M4 Mac Minis hitting stores, and I share my excitement over my reservation for the M4 Pro variant. Together with insights from various team members who plan to upgrade their machines, we reflect on the remarkable performance benchmarks and versatility of these new devices. Marty enthusiastically details the specs of his new setup while also expressing the anticipation for the next level—potentially the M4 Ultra. In light of Apple's recent shifts in trading values and end-of-life decisions surrounding older models, we also talk about ongoing debates regarding Apple Watch features and the return of key functionalities in newer models. As we explore the collaborative tension between Apple and companies like Masimo, we emphasize the urgent need for resolution so that consumers could benefit from fully functional devices. A lively dialogue ensues about GM's controversial decision to phase out CarPlay in favor of its in-house software system. The panel fiercely debates the consumer implications of this move and stresses the importance of software integration in modern vehicles, highlighting that the prevailing consumer preference lies firmly with established ecosystems like Apple's. As we wrap up, I offer my thoughts on the evolving nature of streaming services and the industry's crackdown on password sharing, allowing insights into how that could shape user behaviors moving forward. The discussion ends with heartfelt nostalgia as we remember Elwood Edwards, the voice of AOL's iconic "You've Got Mail," highlighting the lasting impact of technology on our lives even as it evolves. In this episode of YourTechReport, co-hosts Marc Aflalo and Mitchell Whitfield cover Apple's updated iPad Mini, the challenges of adapting to smaller devices, and the growing presence of autonomous vehicles. Mitchell kicks things off by sharing his thoughts on the new iPad Mini, focusing on its increased base storage of 128GB and the performance boost from the A17 Pro chip. He highlights why this upgrade finally made sense for him and discusses the importance of storage in extending the lifespan of tech products. Marc chimes in with his perspective as a casual iPad user and discusses why he hasn't felt the need to upgrade just yet. They also dive into a quick comparison of Apple's A-series chips and the potential thermal limitations preventing the M4 chip from making it to the iPad Mini lineup. The conversation then shifts to the hosts' experiences with smaller smartphones. Mitchell shares his reasons for sticking with a more compact phone despite some limitations with typing accuracy and battery life. Marc addresses the ongoing battery life concerns, suggesting that software optimization could be a key factor affecting performance. He mentions using the Belkin 3-in-1 Wireless Charger to quickly top up his device. The episode takes a turn into autonomous driving as Marc recounts his family's experience using a Waymo vehicle in Arizona. He describes the car's navigation capabilities and reactions to pedestrians and traffic, raising questions about the future of autonomous transportation. Mitchell expresses his caution about fully autonomous vehicles and explores the potential risks of putting complete trust in these systems. Design has the potential to help us solve some of the world's most pressing problems. But few designers and entrepreneurs recognize that potential. Paul Lambert, co-founder and CEO of Quilt, sees design as a tool to drive the adoption of climate change mitigation technologies. That's why he's partnered with industrial designers Maaike Evers and Mike Simonian who are helping the team at Quilt rethink how we heat and cool our homes, a major contributor to the average home's carbon footprint. We spoke with Maaike, Mike, and Paul about how they approached the challenge of designing a process as well as a product, bringing fresh eyes to familiar problems, and how they collaborated with engineers to create a product that is both beautiful and highly functional. On the podcast, Rebecca discussed: How to downsize your office space the right way: understanding right-size building selection for the necessary amenity mix to draw employees back to the office. How intelligent workplace design can combat burnout and reduce in-office frustration. The fastest growing and most popular office building and workplace amenities. How HED LA office design and amenities facilitate company culture and productivity. https://www.hed.design/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/rebecca-swanner-b8a9a55/ https://www.officelovin.com/2021/12/a-look-inside-heds-new-los-angeles-office/ Quick recap Summary Evolving Office Design for Post-Pandemic Workforce Rebecca, a workplace sector leader for Harley Ellis Devereux, and Michael discussed the changing trends in office design in the wake of the pandemic. Rebecca expressed her interest in the concept of wellness in the workplace and how design can respond to the changing workforce population post-pandemic. Michael emphasized the importance of authentic employee feedback in design. They also discussed the flexibility of the podcast format, with Michael assuring Rebecca that any potential gaffes could be edited out. Evolving Office Spaces for Hybrid Work Michael and Rebecca discussed the evolving office space and design in the context of the hybrid work era. They noted how the pandemic has altered the way people work and interact, leading to early retirements and a shift in the workforce. They underscored the importance of considering both how people work and how they live in the new office spaces. Rebecca presented the concept of designing spaces that cater to different needs, such as socializing in a "prairie" setting and feeling secure in a "woods" setting. Michael concurred, highlighting that options like these could accommodate different work styles and personalities. Creating Safe Workplace Spaces for Excellence Michael and Rebecca discussed the importance of creating a 'safe space' in the workplace to foster individual and team excellence. They agreed on the significance of understanding employees' work styles and personalities to optimize their work environment. Rebecca emphasized the need for thoughtful and intentional workplace design, keeping in mind that employees are not constantly present, but should still feel ownership over the space. Michael shared his own experiences working in shared spaces, highlighting the importance of the space feeling like a 'guest's home' when visiting other locations. Understanding Individual Differences in Office Design Michael and Rebecca discussed the importance of understanding individual differences in work environments and incorporating these insights into office design. They highlighted that everyone has varying needs, with some preferring minimalistic setups. Michael emphasized the need to communicate with employees to design spaces that benefit everyone. Rebecca added that gathering information from the entire workforce, not just the C-suite, is crucial. She also pointed out a common fear among employers regarding open-ended surveys, as they worry employees might ask for things they can't provide. Employee-Driven Workspace Transformation Rebecca emphasized the importance of having open, honest conversations with employees about their needs and how the workspace can accommodate their changing work habits. She pointed out that such discussions can lead to innovative solutions that go beyond superficial perks like yoga balls, while also acknowledging the potential constraints, such as budget or location limitations. Michael agreed with Rebecca's approach and shared his own experience of reducing turnover at a healthcare organization by implementing changes based on employee feedback. Both stressed the significance of making employees feel valued and creating a positive work environment. Creating Productive Work Environment Strategies Michael and Rebecca discussed the importance of creating a productive and healthy work environment. They emphasized the need for leaders to be vulnerable and open to feedback, particularly regarding workspace and office design. Rebecca highlighted the necessity of data-driven decision-making, using a workplace strategist to understand the company's culture, schedules, and demographics before making changes. Michael expressed concerns about employees' reactions to changes in office space, stressing the potential for burnout if the new layout is not designed appropriately. Rebecca agreed, noting the importance of proper change management and employee education in effectively using the new space. Designing Spaces for Work-Life Balance Rebecca and Michael discussed the importance of work-life balance and the need for intentional space design to promote rest and rejuvenation. They explored the concept of designing spaces that can be used for various activities, such as exercise, relaxation, and social gatherings. Rebecca shared her ongoing project for a new building's interior design and programming, where they are soliciting input from their employees on the desired functionalities of the space. Michael concurred, highlighting the potential for a variety of spaces to suit different needs. Addressing Office Space and Employee Well-Being Michael shared a humorous story from his past about the issue of unevenly sized offices due to the building's unique design. He explained how, with approval from the CEO, they ensured that all offices had the same number of ceiling tiles, despite their differing shapes. Rebecca and Michael then discussed the importance of focusing on employee well-being and the functionality of their working space, rather than trivial details like the number of ceiling tiles. They emphasized that a thriving work ecosystem involves providing employees with the tools and environment they need to succeed, and not just a uniform office layout.
