Nintendo has announced a June 5 launch date and a $449.99 price tag for its latest gaming console, the Switch 2, which will introduce interactive chat and screen share functions to connect gamers. The company revealed a more vibrant display on the Switch 2, a larger screen and several games that will launch with the console. A select group of gamers got their hands on the latest Nintendo Switch console at an event in New York. Central to its updated system is a new “C” button on its Joy-Con controller, which will launch a new “GameChat” feature that requires a subscription to Nintendo's Switch Online service. It allows players to “communicate with friends and family while playing a game,” and lets them share their game screen with others. A built-in microphone will also allow chatting with other gamers. Perhaps the most contemporary function yet for the Switch 2 is the ability to use the Joy-Con controllers like a computer mouse. The developer displayed multiple ways to use the new function, such as angling a club in a golf game. “Be able to see your friends, hear your friends play with them all on the same screen. Being able to use the Joy-Cons as a computer mouse, which is pretty cool. Shoot a basketball, cast spells in Hogwarts Legacy, all sorts of fun new things with that computer mouse," says Ryan Kryska, a reporter for The Associated Press. The new console will be backward compatible—able to play physical and digital Switch games—but users will need to purchase a microSD express memory card for the Switch 2. The presentation revealed that normal microSD cards will not be compatible with the system. However, data from the original Switch can be transferred to the new console. The Switch 2's launch price is significantly higher than the original Switch's $299 price tag. The Trump administration's tariffs have hit the video game console industry at a fragile moment, analysts say. The tariffs impact game hardware because console devices are manufactured and shipped from China and that region at large. This article was provided by The Associated Press.

This week's EYE ON NPI is a NAND in the HAND, it's ISSI Serial NAND Flash chips (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/i/issi/serial-nand-flash) available in a variety of sizes and footprints. These are great options for folks that need more data storage on their PCBs, but don't necessarily want an SD card. DigiKey has a selection of 1Gbit and 2Gbit chips, so you have tons of storage for data logs, images, recordings, or even filesystems. And the price is great, you'll pay much less per byte when buying NAND flash There's plenty of times you'll need to access non-volatile memory on your microcontroller: graphics or audio files for a user interface, maps or almanac data for telemetry, sensor or usage logs, interpreted code scripts, firmware updates, security certificates, etc. these files are too big to be stored in simple EEPROM chips (https://www.digikey.com/short/0rf9t7qb) that max out at a few kB. The next step up is to use NOR Flash (https://www.digikey.com/short/jfp3bvph) - you can get up to 256 Megabytes in size! (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/issi-integrated-silicon-solution-inc/IS25LP02GJ-RHLE/24617385) Compared to EEPROM which comes in 1-Wire, I2C or SPI, you definitely have to use an SPI interface for NOR Flash. It's also possible on many chips to have 4-bit-at-a-time QSPI or even 8-bit OSPI interfacing for fast reads. And that's the thing that's really nice about NOR: instant reads of any byte anywhere in memory just like EEPROM. Unlike EEPROM you can't write just one byte at a time anywhere in the storage, you have to write 'page' and erase a 'sector' at a time - each page tends to be about 256 bytes, a sector is often 4KB. That means if you want to update a file, you'll need to read the whole 4K block into a memory cache, change the bytes you want to, then erase and re-write the block out. The good news though is once you write out a page, you can pretty much assume it will stay for many years: there's rarely corrupted data in NOR flash. And, although erasing and writing is a bit of a pain, the instant-access means NOR is great for 'XIP' or other dynamic memory access. If NOR is so great, why bother with NAND? One is cost: a 2MB NOR chip isn't too bad about 45 cents in quantity (https://www.digikey.com/short/zff49fb7) but once you get to the biggest 256 MB ones (https://www.digikey.com/short/vffmp583) the pricing gets high pretty quickly: $15 in tray quantities. Considering you can get a 64G SD card for that price, NOR isn't very cost effective. Second is sizing: if you want 1GB for large files, it just isn't available. For that kind of density you need NOR flash. NAND flash is the kind of flash you get when you buy a USB key or microSD card, although those have USB or SDIO interface chips (https://www.bunniestudios.com/blog/2013/where-usb-memory-sticks-are-born/) that are wire bonded to the NAND flash chips. You get a lot more for the price: instead of $15 for 256MB NOR, its $3 (https://www.digikey.com/short/r77p0922). You also don't need more pins! We always thought that NAND flash required a lot of pins since it comes in 48-TSSOP (https://www.digikey.com/short/8zqbmw31) but turns out that you can get it in a QSPI 8-pin format. That makes it easy to integrate without needing an 8-bit wide memory controller. However, the architectural decisions that give ISSI NAND (https://www.digikey.com/short/jtp8ppdb) the massive size & low cost that we love also make it more complex to use than NOR flash. For one, you can no longer get random access to any byte you like. Instead, an entire page must be read at once into a 2176-byte cache, and then can be accessed. This is fine for most uses except we can't use XIP anymore and there are probably some memory access use cases that don't work nearly as nicely. Also that high density means that bits are more likely to go 'bad' and flip. While you can sorta-kinda get away with not doing error correction or wear leveling on NOR, you absolutely must do error correction and wear leveling on NAND! ISSI includes a simple multi-bit ECC system that can handle repairing up to 8 bits per 2176-byte page. And, every time there's ECC errors, you will need to 'refresh/rewrite' the data to clean it up. That refresh counts against the 60K or 100K write cycle - you are more likely to need wear-level management, even if you don't expect to write that often. Basically, check if your microcontroller SDK has a NAND controller library (https://github.com/D-Buckingham/NAND_flash) that can manage this all for you. So, if you need to level up your storage, with easy-to-use SPI or QSPI-interface, ISSI has many NAND (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/i/issi/serial-nand-flash) options to let you quickly and inexpensively add 1 or 2 gigabits of non-volatile memory with built in ECC support and block cache. DigiKey will be stocking them shortly, sign up (https://www.digikey.com/short/jtp8ppdb) to be notified when they drop into stock mid-next month!

Coming soon! We were catching up on a recent Hackaday hackchat with Eben Upton (https://hackaday.io/event/202122-raspberry-pi-hack-chat-with-eben-upton) and learned some fun facts: such as the DVI hack for the RP2040 was inspired by a device called the IchigoJam (https://www.hackster.io/news/ichigojam-combines-strawberry-and-raspberry-to-deliver-a-raspberry-pi-pico-powered-educational-micro-66aa5d2f6eec). We remember reading about this back when it was an LPC1114, now it uses an RP2040. Well, we're wrapping up the Metro RP2350 (https://www.adafruit.com/product/6003), and lately, we've been joking around that with DVI output and USB Host support via bit-banged PIO, you could sorta build a little stand-alone computer. Well, one pear-green-tea-fueled-afternoon later we tried our hand at designing a 'credit card sized' computer - that's 3.375" x 2.125", about the same size as a business card (https://hackaday.com/2024/05/07/the-2024-business-card-challenge-starts-now/) and turns out there's even a standard named for it: ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 (https://www.iso.org/standard/70483.html). Anyhow, with the extra pins of the QFN-80 RP2350B, we're able to jam a ridonkulous amount of hardware into this shape: RP2350B dual 150MHz Cortex M33 w/ PicoProbe debug port, 16 MB Flash + 8 MB PSRAM, USB type C for bootloading/USB client, Micro SD card with SPI or SDIO, DVI output on the HSTX port, I2S stereo headphone + mono speaker via the TLV320DAC3100 (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/texas-instruments/tlv320dac3100irhbt/2353656), 2-port USB type A hub for both keyboard and mouse or game controllers, chunky on-off switch, Stemma QT I2C + Stemma classic JST 3-pin, EYESPI for TFT displays, 5x NeoPixels, 3x tactile switches, and a 16-pin socket header with 10 A/D GPIO + 5V/3V/GND power pins. The PSRAM will help when we want to do things like run emulations that we need to store in fast RAM access, and it will also let us use the main SRAM as the DVI video buffer. When we get the PCBs back and assembled, what should we try running on this hardware? We're pretty sure it can run DOOM. Should that be first? :) We also need a name. Right now, we're just calling it Fruit Jam since it's inspired by the IchigoJam project.

This week's EYE ON NPI is an EYE ON A PI - it's the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/r/raspberry-pi/raspberry-pi-compute-module-5), the latest update to the easily embeddable mini modules that make industrial developers happy by giving them all the power of a Pi 5 in a ready-to-go pluggable solution. The Raspberry Pi computer launched with the goal of bringing low cost computing to the education market (https://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/rorycellanjones/2011/05/a_15_computer_to_inspire_young.html) and through the Pi Foundation (https://www.raspberrypi.org/) they still have that charitable goal (https://static.raspberrypi.org/files/about/RaspberryPiFoundationStrategy2025.pdf) while also spinning off the manufacturing/sales company into the Trading Company which went public this year (https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/what-would-an-ipo-mean-for-the-raspberry-pi-foundation/). The first few Raspberry Pi computers were 'all in one' style (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1344), with power, GPIO, Video and Audio output, USB, Ethernet, and Micro SD card storage (https://raspi.tv/2018/new-raspberry-pi-family-photo-including-pi3a-plus-zero-wh). Eventually enough folks asked for an enclosure-friendly version that would allow an "I/O" board to be designed with the ports in a different arrangement - the big-sized-Pis have them arrayed over 3 sides. To solve this conundrum, and to satisfy the growing industrial/commercial market, the Pi engineers designed the Compute Module 1 which is still available (https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/compute-module-1/). This clever SODIMM packaged board has all the GPIO and peripheral pins on a plug-in connector so you can slot it into an existing design securely and easily - SODIMM sockets (https://www.digikey.com/short/rz9cdjrn) come both vertical and horizontal. This was later updated to the CM3 and CM3+ (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/raspberry-pi/SC0149/9866293) which was on par with the Pi 3 instead of the Pi 1, with significantly higher computational power. However, perhaps because they wanted a more compact module, or to support high-frequency signals better, the next generation of Compute Module 4's (https://www.digikey.com/short/wffzdn0b) came in a flat rectangular shape with dual 100-pin Hirose contacts. (https://www.digikey.com/short/5m8djf0t) Another nice thing that happened with the CM4 is it became available in dozens of configurations: 1/2/4/8 GB RAM, SD or 8/16/32GB MMC, and with or without WiFi/BLE/BT. This allowed commercial users to go with the 'lowest cost option' needed to fulfill their requirements - whereas the Pi 4 comes in only 3 or 4 RAM options (https://www.digikey.com/short/4pn5vw24). The ready-to-go software - no kernel compiling or OpenWRT configuration required! Long-term hardware support and low prices pushed the CM4 into more and more designs. Which brings us to the NPI of the week, the Compute Module 5 (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/r/raspberry-pi/raspberry-pi-compute-module-5)! The CM5 is a big upgrade, with quad A76s at 2.4GHz for a 2x computing upgrade, increased RAM options of up to 16G, increased MMC option of 64GB, USB 3.0 ports, PCIe and RP1 hardware interfacing with PIO support (https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/piolib-a-userspace-library-for-pio-control/). If you have an existing CM4 design, you can easily upgrade or update to the new hotness. If you're new to integrating Raspberry pi, then while you may think of the Pi as a hobby/school computer, that isn't necessarily true anymore with 72% of Pi computers sold going into commercial/industrial use (https://investors.raspberrypi.com/ipo/documents/1). That means you can be confident that you'll get consistent pricing and availability for a long time so that you can work on designing the rest of your product for the CM series to plug into. And like the CM4, the CM5 is available in a variety of configurations and prices, from $45 to $135. Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5's are currently only available for pre-order (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/r/raspberry-pi/raspberry-pi-compute-module-5) , with estimated ship times in Q1 of 2025 to DigiKey - and the moment DigiKey gets some in stock, they'll ship your pre-order instantly so you can get integrating with the Pi ecosystem the very next day. Don't wait till release day because they'll sell out instantly! Instead, when you pre-order from DigiKey, your order goes into a queue and you'll get first-come-first-served prioritization. See more on DigiKey https://www.digikey.com/short/47t12drj
This week we got our Metro RP2350 boards (https://blog.adafruit.com/2024/11/11/metro-rp2350-now-with-bigger-better-rp2350b/) back and after fixing the pin direction and rerouting (https://www.instagram.com/adafruit/p/DC2U7mdyf9W) the whole thing, it came up and pretty much works perfectly! Just one component needed a swap - we were able to test all GPIO, analog inputs, MicroSD slot, PSRAM, LEDs & NeoPixel, user button, I2C/SPI/UART, aaand power supplies. The 5V supply is great, we got a nice clean 5V out at 2A+ from 12V DC in. The last thing to check is the HSTX port, which gives us DVI access, and it works, thanks to this festive turtle demo! (https://learn.adafruit.com/circuitpython-turtle-graphics) We're aiming to get this into the shop before the end of the year, wouldn't that be smashing? In this episode of Double Tap hosts Steven Scott and Shaun Preece discuss the BT Speak Pro from Blazie Technologies, a modern version of the Braille and Speak device. David Goldfield, head of marketing at the company joins the discussion and provides insights into the history of the company and the development of the BT Speak Pro. David describes the compact design of the device, featuring an 8-dot Braille keyboard, speakers, ports for HDMI, USB-C, and microSD, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. David also demonstrates the device's speech output and navigation through menus. The hosts express excitement about the nostalgia and modern features of the BT Speak Pro, and David hints at the possibility of a QWERTY version in the future. There's also discussion of the news that Microsoft is delaying 'indefinitely' the launch of a major new feature of its latest CoPilot+ PCs called Recall. The feature allows users to search for anything on their computer with a simple text search but following privacy concerns around the data stored on your device the planned feature has been dropped. The new PCs start shipping from June 18th. Keep in touch by emailing us feedback@doubletaponair.com or call 1-877-803-4567 and leave us a voicemail. You can also find us across social media.
This week's EYE ON NPI is "aces", literally! It's ACES Group's Vertical MicroSD Card Connectors (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/a/aces-group/vertical-microsd-card-connector), a great way to increase your enclosure design flexibility, maybe even improve BOM costs by not requiring a separate PCB for mechanical stability. MicroSD cards are a great way to add gigabytes of data storage for low cost and user-serviceability: they're available at just about any store - even grocery stores! Cards are usually under $10, and DigiKey stocks a huge variety of speeds and sizes. (https://www.digikey.com/short/b43p5rzq) The ACES card sockets come in two styles. The MSDV-2008-AKA0T01 (https://www.digikey.com/short/b449j9p5) is minimal, with the smallest size but no push-push eject - instead you have to pull the card out. The MSDV-2108-BK33T (https://www.digikey.com/short/7hnwrbd1) has push-push eject so it's easier to remove cards, but the overall package is much larger. The minimal one is also less expensive, about $1 in quantity whereas the fancy one is $1.60. Both come with the promise of accessing a MicroSD card at a perpendicular angle from the PCB - a design we've never seen before in a micro SD card holder! Historically, we've only seen and used 'right angle' style like the MSD-6-A from CUI (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/cui-devices/MSD-6-A/21797113) - and DigiKey stocks tons of variants of MicroSD sockets (https://www.digikey.com/short/zfn2rcm3) such as hinged, push-pull, even super-skinny (https://blog.adafruit.com/2022/07/26/the-great-search-skinny-micro-sd-card-holder-for-raspberry-pi-cowbells-thegreatsearch-digikey-adafruit/). But, this is the first and only one we've ever seen that is 'vertical' not right angle, with all pins brought out plus card detection. The design is well thought-out with through-hole contacts plus 3 extra-wide mechanical stabilizers and a flat plastic seat so that customers jamming cards in off-angle won't tear the pads off. We've already picked up some of each to make a breakout board so folks can add these to their prototype design, but you shouldn't wait on us! If you want to add these two unique microSD sockets to your design - order from DigiKey today! They have both the MSDV-2008-AKA0T01 (https://www.digikey.com/short/b449j9p5) and MSDV-2108-BK33T (https://www.digikey.com/short/7hnwrbd1) in stock right now for immediate shipment. Place your order right now and you'll be integrating the new ACES Group's Vertical MicroSD Card Connectors (https://www.digikey.com/en/product-highlight/a/aces-group/vertical-microsd-card-connector) by tomorrow afternoon.

This week's EYE ON NPI is a cool cubic camera - it's the Analog Devices Inc. (nee Maxim Integrated) MAXREFDES178 (https://www.digikey.com/short/t4052tpj), an all-in-one vision eval board for the MAX78000 (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/analog-devices-inc-maxim-integrated/MAX78000EXG/13155097). The MAX78000 is a specifically customized ARM Cortex M4 microcontroller that has a Convolution Neural Network sub-circuit. This means that it's really good at doing the kind of mathematical calculations required to do vision or audio-based machine learning inferences without the need for a heavy-duty processor like in a Single Board Computer or Internet co-processing. This makes it great for stand-alone smart camera applications - which is why the MAXREFDES178 (https://www.digikey.com/short/t4052tpj) is an excellent eval board that might even be able to be integrated in your final design. The MAXREFDES178 camera kit (https://www.digikey.com/short/t4052tpj) comes as a small hackable cube with two MAX78000s - one for video and one for audio processing. A 1.5" 240x240 resolution TFT with capacitive touchscreen, OVM7692 camera module (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/omnivision-technologies-inc/OVM7692-RAAA/3190565), I2S Codec, I2S microphone, 5 buttons, Lipoly Battery, USB Type C with battery charging, and microSD card slot that can be used to load 'Apps' onto the processors. There's also a cute SWD programmer dongle that plugs into the USB so you can do full programming and step debugging of your own application. The strength of the MAXREFDES is that it demonstrates the audio and video inferencing that normally would take a Raspberry Pi-like SBC computer or an online connection for the heavy computation. But, since it's done on-chip, the power draw is much much less and the startup time is nearly instant. This makes it great for portable, battery, or even solar / power-harvesting applications (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvuLv13EGlM) As with most AI products, the biggest challenge for starting out is how to train the model that will be used for inferencing. The MAXREFDES178 comes with a basic voice-detection model that covers about 20 words, or about 10 celebrity faces. However, unless you happen to be designing a paparazzi product you'll need to create the model that detects exactly what you want and then load that into the MAX78000's CNN memory. Analog Devices has a video series (https://www.analog.com/en/education/education-library/videos/video-series/understanding-artificial-intelligence.html) and GitHub documentation repo (https://github.com/MaximIntegratedAI/MaximAI_Documentation) that goes through the process of how to do the training: you can use the popular PyTorch or TensorFlow Lite environments. Note that since the CNN is in hardware, not 'bitbanged' on the main core, you do not have to use TF Lite for Microcontrollers (https://www.tensorflow.org/lite/microcontrollers) - although you could probably run the TFLiteMicro codebase if you wanted, on the MAX78000, it just wouldn't get any hardware acceleration. Creating the model will require collecting a ton of data, image or voice, and then training using a CUDA-powered desktop or cloud computer. If you're interested in edge AI development (https://www.analog.com/en/thought-leadership/the-dream-of-edge-ai.html), the MAX78000 is an excellent chip to use with a familiar ARM M4 core and tons of peripherals to support any external sensors or devices needed - no co-processor needed! There's even a Feather board available (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/analog-devices-inc-maxim-integrated/MAX78000FTHR/13549063), but for quick audio/video development, the MAXREFDES178 camera kit (https://www.digikey.com/short/t4052tpj) works right out of the box and it's in stock right now at DigiKey for immediate shipment! Order today and it'll ship immediately so you'll be convolving and neuralling by tomorrow afternoon. See more in the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Toaz-0vdIE

This week we're looking for a high-reliability micro SD card - you can get inexpensive SD cards for basic device usage anywhere, but if you need one that can handle many years of 24/7 data writes, or for use in industrial temperature ranges, it's best to get a card that has a datasheet and usage guarantees! Along the way we'll find some interesting options such as power-loss-protection, and how to decode the different 'classes' of SD cards available. See the chosen part on DigiKey https://www.digikey.com/short/40n5j275 Don't forget, #DigiWish is happening right now on social media (https://twitter.com/digikey/status/1731349619836133553) Make sure to pick out something in stock from the DigiKey catalog and post up up every day - one person is selected each day to get their wish as a gift!

Frank Murphy is joined by his friend Sarah Roberto, who brought her trendy Stanley Quencher tumbler. She says some people hide a can of hard seltzer on ice in the tumbler. Sarah enjoys visiting Washington, D.C. She and her husband felt lucky to get tickets to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum because the tickets are often sold out. The last time Sarah was here, Frank accidentally deleted the video files on the camera. As Frank got stressed, Sarah urged him to look up how to restore a file deleted from a Micro SD card. He restored the files and posted the show to YouTube but now can't delete the raw files. This episode is sponsored by the Secret City Improv Festival, October 6 and 7, 2023 at the Historic Grove Theater in Oak Ridge. See performances by 23 professional troupes and 3 local high school troupes. Performances are on Friday, October 6th at 7pm, 9p, and 11pm and on Saturday, October 7th at 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 8:45pm and 10:30pm. Buy your tickets online at https://secretcityimprovfest.com/frank Sarah posts about her dog Baby Bear and about her weight loss on TikTok. After her last visit, she started getting ads on TikTok about canned mackerel, which is something Frank talked about in her presence. The app must have been listening to their conversation. Frank's Facebook and Instagram feeds have a lot of ads for prescription drugs even though Frank chooses “do not show this ad.” Sarah credits psychiatric medicine with helping her. Sarah warned her husband not to wear just his socks around the house for fear of falling. Frank sometimes worries that he will die at home while his wife is at work. Frank's neighbor across the street asked Frank to keep an eye on his pool. When Frank texted his contact card to the neighbor, the man was surprised to see the photo of “professional Frank” instead of “neighborhood Frank.” Sarah used artificial intelligence to create images of herself in different situations. She created a headshot and an image with the U.S. Capitol in the background. Sarah likes Frank's neighborhood because the neighbors know each other. When Frank's home alarm went off, six different neighbors checked on things to make sure it was just a false alarm. Sarah promises to bring iced pumpkin spice coffee the next time she visits. With our ESP32-S3 TFT experimenter board, we're now able to use the Arduino_GFX https://github.com/moononournation/Arduino_GFX library by moononournation which has native RGB TFT support and excellent example code. This example is playing MJPEG files, a simple animation format https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_JPEG with just JPEGs glued together. We wired up a MicroSD card over SPI for quick file storage and retrieval, or 1-bit MMC works, too. files are converted with ffmpeg: 'ffmpeg -i "wash.mp4" -vf "fps=10,vflip,hflip,scale=-1:480:flags=lanczos,crop=480:480" -pix_fmt yuvj420p -q:v 9 wash.mjpeg', natch! And then they play, about 9fps is the rate we're getting for 480x480 pixels. We're testing out prototypes of a new Metro https://www.adafruit.com/search?q=metro RP2040 https://www.adafruit.com/search?q=rp2040 , while the 'classic Arduino shape' is not as popular these days with dev boards as it used to be, we like the roomy layout, with lots of socket headers, and plenty of space for accessories like a MicroSD card socket with both SPI and SDIO pinout, SWD debug port, Stemma QT, and 12V DC power port. our last test is always to plug in our 2.8" captouch TFT shield https://www.adafruit.com/product/1947 because it tests both SPI and I2C. this passes and since all the GPIO are accounted for, we just have to wrap up the silk and it's off to fabrication! We say all the time, but our podcast really is our favorite thing we do. It's when we actually sit down together for a dedicated time and have conversations about our marriage, family, or things we are trying to learn more about. On today's episode, we intended to start with a call-in question from a listener and her dad about how to get started making a podcast. That answer took a journey into a nuanced conversation, but that's one of the great things about having a podcast. You have space to really talk about things. Also, if you made it through the episode and are curious about the products Penn mentions, here are the links for a Microphone, Mixer, MicroSD card, and Boom Arm. Enjoy this week's podcast, including a guest appearance from a special kiddo who helps us answer a tough question. Tell us what you like, ask a question, or just say hi. Call 323-364-3929. They published "Christmas Jammies" in December 2013 and life hasn't been the same. Since then, their popular parodies, "All About That Baste", "Baby Got Class," and original music "Snow Day" have received national news coverage. Penn, the Dad, took a chance and left his job as a news anchor to join his wife Kim, the Mom, at their video production and digital marketing company, Greenroom Communications, LLC. Lola and Penn Charles are always happy, respectful and eat all of their vegetables (that last sentence is a lie).
