    Anna Gasser is an Olympic champion snowboarder from Austria. She took up snowboarding aged 18 after training as a gymnast. Just a few years later - she was at the Olympics competing in slopestyle in 2014. She qualified in first place, but a fall saw her podium chances diminish. Four years later - she was one of the big favourites and managed to win an Olympic gold medal in big air at PyeongChang 2018. Now aged 30, she goes into the Olympic cycle as one of the most thoughtful, inspiring, and downright dazzling athletes in competition. Ash Tulloch spoke to her about mentality, her biggest fears, Simone Biles, and her dream dinner party.
