Ep 219 - Pierce Osborn - Off Grid Throttles - Run Into The Sky I grew up in NJ and studied Mechanical Engineering at Penn State, graduating in 2014. My career began at Dentsply Sirona, where I designed components for the Cavitron system. I then worked as a new product engineer at Yamaha, focusing on outfitting for their waverunners. At Heckler and Koch, I designed various weapon systems, including the high-profile NGSW (Next Gen Squad Weapon) project. My last role was lead design engineer at Daniel Defense, where I developed the DDPCC weapon system, set to be released later this year. In 2018, I began flying and founded Off-Grid Aviation in 2020 to innovate better cruise control mechanisms for paramotors. Leveraging my background in product development, I moved from my garage to a proper workshop, and Off-Grid Aviation is now my primary occupation. We have 46 resellers worldwide and continue to expand. Our latest product, the Off-Grid Lite throttle, offers a simplified solution for paramotor manufacturers https://www.off-grid-aviation.com/ https://www.instagram.com/offgrid_aviation/ Help Support Our Mission!!! https://runintothesky.betterworld.org/campaigns/support-our-mission Nonprofits We Support: USPPA https://usppa.org/ Run Into The Sky - http://www.RunIntoTheSky.com Contact Sean Symons 5017473558 Resurgence PPG https://www.resurgenceppg.com https://www.resurgenceppg.com/contact.html Project Airtime https://projectairtime.org/ 801-706-6076 projectairtime@gmail.com Aurora PPG https://aurorappg.org/ info@aurorappg.org Want to thank our partnered schools: Paramotor Arkansas http://www.ParamotorArkansas.com Contact: Sean 501-747-3558 Lone Star Paramotor http://www.LoneStarParamotor.com Contact Ron: ron@lonestarparamotor.com Wichita Paramotor https://www.wichitaparamotor.com/ Contact: Leo ictppg@gmail.com Paramotor Orlando https://www.paramotororlando.com/ Contact: Johnathan (407) 559-4772 Georgia Paramotor https://www.georgiaparamotor.net Contact: Jacob 912-536-3000

Ep 207 - Jeremy Howe - Run into the Sky paramotor podcast Bio: I found paramotors on YouTube in 2014. After graduating college & saving some money, I signed up for formal paramotor training with FlyMIPPG in 2019. I've flown in a couple states & Spain, but mostly fly in metro Detroit. I'm the current Treasurer & Board Member for the USPPA. I've completed my PPG3 rating, an siv, flown ppg at Oshkosh, bunch of fly-ins, etc blah blah. This year, I hope to get a tandem exemption, P2, & have a great time flying Egypt. I have a couple interesting stories about barely flying into my car, landing out because of a coast guard helicopter, being stopped by the Border Patrol, bunch of others. I'm looking forward to being on the show again. It looks like it's been about 2 years since I was on the show. I try to make an Instagram post for every day I go flying. Ep 206 - Shawn Lee Smith - Run into the Sky paramotor podcast I finished training in 2018. I live in hallsville Texas. My home flying areas are lots of pine trees. There are four of us in our local flying group and another one will be trained soon. My oldest son is one of the four of us foot launch flyers. It's been a real joy to watch him learn to fly. Some of my favorite things are … flying adventures with our group. Flying with my son. Giving tandem flights and getting to share in their excitement. Traveling to new places and meeting new flyers. I get to drive to the west coast in February and July each year and to the east coast once a year always with my flying gear flying most everywhere I stop. I Am currently learning to free fly. It's challenging since I'm a flatlander but I'm still trying. I've only flown at Henson Gap TN and Point of the Mountain UT so far. I'm ready for better weather!! Kenny Schnatter began his aviation adventure in 2006. Kenny grew up riding and racing motocross. He always had a passion for thrill and excitement. When he discovered that flying could be like hitting a jump on his dirt bike but not coming down until an hour later he knew it was something that he had to persue. He went on to do some research and find out what paramotors were all about. He went for training to learn to fly paramotors. After realizing he thought it would be nice to have others enjoy the flight with him he trained for his license on a powered parachute and then fixed wing airplanes. Kenny always had a desire to help people in anyway he could. Kenny enjoyed paramotors so much he knew he had to find a way to help people with the sport and give them the best training he could for safety and to have fun! Kenny then decided to open Pennsylvania PPG LLC in 2022. Kenny now has his USPPA instructor rating to train foot launch and wheel launch paramotors. http://www.Pennsylvaniappg.com 570-994-0339 INSTAGRAM: @pennsylvania_ppg FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/PennsylvniaPPG FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/kenny.schnatter

The skies have beckoned me, and next year, I plan to take my kids on tandem adventures, instilling in them the thrill of flight. Having trained with Lonestar Paramotor in Texas a year and a half ago, little did I know that this journey would lead me to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. I'm on a mission to grow the paramotor community in our region, currently standing strong with just two fellow pilots. Let's spread the love of this exhilarating sport together. Meet me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/trevor.hartz , where I share my adventures and connect with fellow enthusiasts. If you have any questions or if there's anything I can do, feel free to reach out. As a prior military member, I understand the importance of service, and I'm here to make a positive difference in our community. ********************************************************************************* Top 10 Q&A about Paramotoring https://www.paramotorarkansas.com/pages/top-10-questions-and-answers-about-paramotoring ****************************************************************************help support this show and our nonprofit by going to http://www.RunIntoTheSky.org

Paramotor Podcast GET YOUR PICTURES IN FOR THE NEXT CALENDAR HERE - https://www.paramotorarkansas.com/products/paramotor-calendar Ep 196 Nathan J Finneman https://www.paramotorarkansas.com/pages/run-into-the-sky-guest My name is Nathan. I'm a pilot based out of Colorado. I've flown all around the world in various aircraft. From gyro-copters to jets and everything in between. If it has wings, I'd try and fly it. I guess it's safe to say I have a taste for adventure. There is something truly defining when it comes to to the relationship of “man and machine”. I have been in aviation for the last 15 years. I started out flying hang gliders in my late teenage years, and progressed to ultralights. My aviation career has had a multitude of variations. I operated leak detection system operations on the back of a helicopter for oil pipeline companies. Also few trainer jets specializing in guidance system applications. Paramotors game into my life around 2010, and it's one of the few flying activities I can say still has the same magical affect on my soul. I flew airshows for about 5 years in paramotors with my buddy Chris Montes, had an absolute blast doing that. Also had several what I call code brown moments flying butt fans over the years. I represented Team USA with Matt Minyard in the World Pylon Racing Championships in Egypt in 2017. And flew through the arches of Moab with Bear Grylls. I have truly met some of the best people around the world because of this sport. I'm often asked, do I prefer flying airplanes more than paramotors. I often disagree. There is something about paramotoring that still encompasses the true freedom that pilots once experienced nearly 100 years ago in the barnstorming era. I feel like this is one of the last aviation realms that a pilot can still feel like a barnstormer. So all this talk about a world altitude record we recently set. And how the help of an amazing team individuals, paired with an incredibly short weather window with temperatures hovering at -14F and winds over 40kts put an American Flag back on the record books. * About Paramotor Arkansas, Run Into The Sky Nonprofit, our mission and how you can help * Soar into the heart of our mission at Run Into The Sky, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering disabled veterans by providing them with the exhilarating opportunity to learn and fly paramotors. I'm Butch Fly, a passionate paramotor enthusiast who took to the skies for the first time on May 5. Since that exhilarating day, I've clocked nearly 50 flights, all made possible by the intensive training I started on April 1. I made a life-changing decision to relocate from Alabama to Arkansas, driven by my dedication to support the Run Into The Sky Nonprofit, co-founded by Sean Symons. Together, we're building a unique school aimed at empowering disabled veterans. Our mission is to teach them the art of flight, not just as a thrilling experience but also as a therapeutic endeavor. Stay Bad Paramotor https://staybadparamotor.com Run Into The Sky Inc. Paramotor Podcast Ep 192- Stay Bad - Danielo Hey, my name Is Danielo and It is no accident that the motto of my school is “Learn to fly, run into the sky!” I'm Brazilian born, raised in France, and now make my home in Los Angeles. Before I became a pilot, I traveled the world as a professional dancer, choreographer, and teacher, exploring the cultures of over 50 countries! My first foray into extreme sporting was skydiving, in which I received my A license. My life mantra is to STAYBAD, meaning to Stay Beyond Any Definitions, to live life without limits, and to push oneself to greater heights. One of my main pursuits is flying and teaching others to fly. It is extremely gratifying share the freedom and beauty of being outdoors in this unique way—flying over sand dunes, the ocean, poppy fields—it's like nothing else. I have been a pilot for 6 years and am a USPPA certified instructor as well as being certified in tandem flights. When paramotoring, I fly with the Qubik 21m in custom colors. For paragliding, I use the Hook 5 p, 24m, in golden. When I am not flying, dancing, or teaching, you can find me creating videos, combining my love of flying with original content sharing my adventures. Run Into The Sky Inc. Paramotor Podcast Ep 189 PATRIOT PARAMOTOR Jerry Deavers I'm a USPPA certified PPG Instructor and a member of “Bad Apples” Brotherhood. I have been teaching PPG since 2020 and have helped many students achieve their dreams of flight! I myself have been flying for over 7 years and have turned this passion into helping others achieve their overdue childhood dream of flying like superman. Nothing is more pleasing than when a student takes their first flight and when they land, describing their experience. Some cry, some are glad to be on the ground. Some can't wait to do it again right away. Out of all those feelings and excitement, I have never seen one not going on a 2nd flight and beyond. Run Into The Sky Inc. Paramotor Podcast Donate to $RunIntoTheSky http://www.RunIntoTheSky.org Bio: I'm back on the show for round #2. Since we last spoke I have been still traveling around in my van through the United States flying as much as the weather will allow. This past September I walked away from my engineering job to start my “Radical Sabbatical”. I just recently finished up my 5 month road trip exploring Baja California in Mexico. Towards the end of the my Baja trip I had an opportunity to paramotor in Colombia for a few weeks and explored the Caribbean coastline. The adventure is hopefully far from over and I'm packing for the next paramotor adventure starting next week! IG CON3081

I learned to fly in 2017 from USPPA instructor Michael O'Daniel out of Northern Virginia. He has recently passed away (fatal PG accident in Columbia in 2020). I learned on an Air Conception 130 and since replaced the motor with a Moster 185 on that titanium frame. I fly a MacPara Charger 25M. I have my Tandem Exemption for Trike and have a Fly Products Xenit with Cosmos 300, I fly a BGD Cyclone 39M for solo and light tandems and a MacPara Pasha 5 @ 42M for larger tandems. I also have an electric SP 140 that I love for short flights. I'm getting into PG as well since Kyle and Travis from One Up Adventures had a PG beginner experience baked into their Costa Rica trip...and I loved it. I have a YouTube channel but admittedly I'm way behind on posting anything. I have most of my Wingman Challenge content in various stages of editing and expect it to go out soon https://www.youtube.com/@UCdCdDqmp8brkRyW0ZLbR0Yw Here's a link to a newsletter article I'm writing my Wingman Challenge experience on. Latest episode has Part 1. The next few months will document 3 or 4 more parts (one for each 400mile leg) https://www.flyingclub1.org/newsletters/latest_newsletter.pdf Wingman Challenge, Costa Rica trip with One Up Adventures, a few of my Paracamper build, a few of my family https://photos.app.goo.gl/GMuqsMHjCZgapDdN8
Guest: James Sutherland Hello there! I am the founder of Charlie's Soap. When I started the company back in the late 1970's, I never expected that our simple but powerful cleaner we be the center of an international operation some 40 years later. It all started when I was working for my dad, Charlie Sutherland Sr., at a textile lubricant plant in North Carolina. One day, word came down that we needed to find a good cleaner for the textile machines – and quick! Not only would it have to clean up the oil on the machines, but it could not harm the little old ladies whose job it was to clean them. It also had to be acceptable to local wastewater treatment. Well, my background is in engineering, chemistry, and a bit of mathematics. I knew how to make the oils we used in the plant so I reverse engineered a formula to break those oils down in water. Wouldn't you know it, the stuff worked even better than I expected. Originally, the whole goal was just to keep the machines clean, but soon we discovered that the soap cleaned fabric really well too. I even named it ‘SB-2069' to make it sound like I knew what I was doing. Not bad for a first try. Unsurprisingly, folks working with the cleaner loved the stuff and started calling it “Charlie's Soap” after my dad. Soon, we knew a demand was growing for Charlie's Soap because the employees kept stealing the stuff left and right! That's when I knew it was time to quit my day job, take a leap of faith, and buy our little soap plant outright. The local Winn-Dixie agreed to be our first outlet and Charlie's Soap was officially born. In the early years, I was on my own, adrift in a sea of suds and uncertainty. We tried many ways to grow the “Soap.” Some worked; many didn't. Marketing was really not my forte. But my family never stopped trying. My kids get the credit for our success. As they grew older, they joined the business and helped make us into what we are today. My youngest, Morgan, and I created the Laundry Powder. Today he runs IT and Quality Control. Taylor, the oldest, took on sales and marketing. James specializes in engineering and international sales. My daughter Jenny is chairman of the board. And my wife Jane is our treasurer. Thanks to them, today we sell in thousands of mom-and-pop specialty shops, major hardware chains, supermarkets, and through the largest online retailers around the world. But through it all, we have always operated Charlie's Soap with a dedication to producing the highest quality biodegradable, environmentally safe products possible. Over the years, they have been tested against the best and they have always won, hands down. The combination of good science, environmentally friendly ingredients, and a darn good soap is one that still gets me excited. It is a combination that none of our competitors can claim, and it is something that I am very proud of. Thanks for visiting our website, and please try our Charlie's Soap. We'll keep making it the best product. -Charlie Sutherland Jr. https://www.facebook.com/james.sutherland.100 https://www.charliesoap.com/ Youtube @jamessutherland4238

Born into a broken home in Detroit's south side, Tim lived through two decades of trials that resulted in debilitating fear and anxiety that nearly killed him. After spending 30 years, running from God, thinking He was a “crutch” that weak minded people use, God showed up and, in a moment, radically changed everything! The experience he had with God 14 years ago, has transformed his life forever, completely healed of fear, doubt, stress, that gut wrenching, almost crippling anxiety and an enlarged erratic heart. Tim has been driven by the Glory of God he encountered and longs to experience again. As a student of the Word, Tim has graduated from two major Bible Colleges and continues to dig deeper daily. By instilling biblically based core values both personally and professionally, Timothy continues to initiate movements of fellowship and goodwill that have spilled over into every area of life. As a dedicated husband, daddy, grand-daddy, and businessman he is setting a standard of teaching by example and living in The Word. His life is a classic, rags to riches story, that has inspired so many. Timothy's continued perseverance in honoring scripture, has led to the recognition of not one, not two, but three of his companies to be named by Inc Magazine as the fastest growing privately held companies in America. This includes eight-time Inc. 5000 Hall of Fame Honoree Top Flite Financial, two-time honoree Three T's Properties and most recent company to enter the Inc. 5000 ranks was All in One Custom Renovations. Tim is also the founder of Harvest House Ministries, with a goal of spreading the word of the Lord as it is written, without the soft edges provided by many modern churches. Tim is a accredited author with a bestselling book, The Single Minded Christian. He also serves as the President of the Homeless Angels, a nonprofit completely community funded program that houses an average of 120 homeless individuals and families each night. Tim's passion for flight started at an early age. He took his first introductory flight on Grosse Ile when he was 16 but didn't become a private pilot until age 38 and now fly's both fixed wing and paramotor. His God given vision has progressively materialized into the reality of spiritual and professional accomplishments against many odds. Tim oversees the daily operations of several multi-million-dollar corporations, diligently helps so many in need, while relentlessly pursuing biblical truth. https://www.facebook.com/torchport?mibextid=LQQJ4d https://www.paramotorarkansas.com/account/register get a free account and you might find a free gift in your mail box WIN PRIZES - Help our mission! My professional background starts in corporate America, where I've been in I.T. for major companies such as IBM and Cisco Systems, to leadership roles of Director of Operations and currently a Director of Human Resources. Outside of flying, I enjoy Church, Bodybuilding, hunting and fishing and adventure flying in other states and countries. I help host the largest Paramotor flying event in the world, "Bad Apples Fly-In”, hosted at Hodges field in Andersonville GA. This is also my home training field. Patriot Paramotor was formed to help 1st responders, vets, and other great patriots of our country achieve their dreams of aviation. Safety and taking care of my future brothers and sisters in this great passion, sport, way of life is my focus!
