As we celebrate Women's History Month and International Women's Day, we're diving deep into the stories of women in the Bible—women with broken pasts, difficult circumstances, and unlikely beginnings, yet God still chose them to do His kingdom work. From Mary Magdalene to Rahab, their transformations remind us that no one is beyond God's grace. But this isn't just about them—it's about us, too. I get real and vulnerable as I share two personal testimonies of how God's protection covered me in ways I can't explain: the time one of my poor choices left me stranded miles away from home and had to hitchhike and the terrifying moment when my husband and I were saved from what could have been a deadly car accident. These experiences remind me that even with my own broken past and poor decisions, God is using me to share His word and bring others closer to Him.Walking the narrow road isn't easy, but it's necessary. In this episode, we're unpacking:How God redeems and transforms lives, no matter where we've beenWhy perseverance and endurance are essential for our faith journeyHow to stay aligned with God's will, even when life tries to pull you off coursePractical ways to find your way back when you feel lost or under attackNo matter your past, no matter your struggles, God's grace is bigger. His love is relentless. And He is calling YOU higher. Tune in for some encouragement, biblical wisdom, and a reminder that God is always moving in your life—even in the moments when you least expect it.
In this episode of The Woman of Faith Podcast, we explore the power of faithfulness and the dangers of turning away from God. When we stay committed to Him, we position ourselves for His favor, protection, and victory. But when we turn away—whether out of pride, complacency, or fear—we face the consequences of walking outside His will.In 2 Chronicles 12 & 13, we see two kings with very different outcomes. Rehoboam abandoned God's ways and suffered loss, while Abijah stood firm in faith and saw victory—even when the odds were stacked against him. Their stories are a mirror for us today. Are we standing firm in our faith, or are we allowing the distractions of life to pull us away from God?In this episode, we're breaking down the rewards of faithfulness, the dangers of spiritual complacency, and how we can stay anchored in God through every season. Plus, I'll share some real-life examples and self-reflection questions to help you apply these lessons to your own journey.

In this episode of The Woman of Faith Podcast, I'm diving into a topic close to my heart: how faith can help turn your dreams into reality. Have you ever felt God place a big dream in your heart, but fear or uncertainty held you back from pursuing it? Or maybe you've started the journey but faced so many obstacles that you're questioning if it's still worth it? Today, we're going to explore how faith, trust in God's timing, and taking action are key to turning those dreams into something tangible. I'll be sharing insights from scripture, including Habakkuk 2:2-3, where God urges us to write the vision and trust in His appointed time. We'll also look at powerful examples like Priscilla Shirer and my own personal story, showing how faith leads to extraordinary outcomes, even in the face of setbacks. I'll also take you through Joseph's journey, where betrayal and imprisonment didn't derail his dream, but rather prepared him for God's perfect timing. Remember, the challenges we face aren't detours—they're part of God's process. Whether you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed, this episode will equip you with practical strategies and lessons to pursue your God-given dreams with courage and perseverance. As we close, I encourage you to reflect on these questions: What dream has God placed in your heart that you've been afraid to pursue? What's one step you can take this week to move closer to making that dream a reality? What's one challenge holding you back, and how can you trust God to overcome it? I challenge you to take action: This week, spend time in prayer, write down the vision God has given you, and take one small, faith-filled step forward. If today's episode inspired you, share it with a friend who needs encouragement to pursue their own God-given dreams. I'm excited to see you take the next step in making your dreams a reality, knowing that God is faithful to bring His promises to fruition in His perfect timing. Have you ever been told that you have a poverty/scarcity mindset? People usually use the term ‘poverty mindset' when you're always looking for freebies or trying to avoid spending at all costs. While this may be true, it does not summarize what it means to have a poverty mindset. Alan Weiss, PhD describes the poverty mindset as ‘one that influences behaviors consistent with beliefs that money shouldn't be spent, opportunities are limited, any risk at all is dangerous, any success is temporary and non-replicable, and generally remaining in the back of the pack is safest.' Poverty mindset is living in scarcity and in fear that there will never be enough. It is living in fear that things will never work out, that even what you have now can be taken from you at any moment and that wealth is beyond your reach. When you have the mindset that you can never be rich, you will find yourself doing the same things that will keep you poor. You won't be bold enough to take risks, so investments won't be an option for you, even low-risk investments. That means you've shut the door on one big way of building wealth. Also, when you have a poverty mindset you realize that you shield yourself from wealthy people. Having a mindset that is fixated on poverty and scarcity precludes you from the opportunities that may present themselves as your get-out-of-poverty card. In this week's episode, I discuss poverty mindset, why so many people of color are stuck there and what we can start doing right now to break free from a poverty mindset and start stepping living a life of abundance. Are you feeling stuck? Unable to go after what you want? Or frustrated by the mental loop playing in your head, thoughts that keep you fearful, insecure, worried about others' judgment, rejection, loss — anything. Or maybe you're living, at least emotionally, in a past failed relationship. Or maybe, you're holding onto limiting beliefs from childhood that don't serve you. Or maybe it's something else entirely. Regardless of how, exactly, you're stuck in the past, the way of being can hold you back in all areas of your life and prevent you from enjoying the present moment. Fresh off the Breaking Free Conference, we are kicking off a series of Breaking Free conversations starting with breaking free from self-condemnation. What is self condemnation? Well, it is your inner voice; it's self talk that commentates negatively on your value, person-hood, actions, feelings and behaviors. Some examples of self condemnation would be, "You are stupid, unacceptable, weak". "You are sinful, unworthy, a fraud". "You are unforgiven, unlovable, a failure". On this week's episode, I share my own personal journey with self-condemnation and share 4 tips on what you can start doing today to break free from self-condemnation and self-criticism. This week I'm discussing savior syndrome also known as savior complex which is the need to fix and heal everyone. Wanting to help others can be good for your health. But if you feel like you have to do it and put aside your own well-being to do so, it can be problematic. On this episode I discuss some of the psychology behind savior syndrome, the dangers in it and why saving everyone isn't your responsibility. Making space for the next version of you can sometimes feel daunting. Primarily because to become someone new we have to be willing to let go of the current version of ourselves. It's hard to hold up that mirror and take accountability for negative thinking, toxic behaviors, unhealthy routines and bad habits. And no matter how hard it can be to change remaining the same keeps you stuck and prevents you from stepping into your fullest and greatest potential. In this week's episode, I talk about making space for who you are becoming by honoring your past, giving yourself grace and letting go of everything that no longer serves you even if it scares you. Have you ever felt like giving up because you were stressed out and overwhelmed by circumstances you couldn't control? What do you do when you find yourself in the middle of life's fires? The truth is the enemy wants us to spend our days worried, afraid, frustrated, anxious, and disconnected from God. And though it's easy to focus on our circumstances, that never helps. There will be times when we are in that “space in between” where we don't know where to place our footing, what to hold on to (in this world), what we should be doing in a particular situation or season of life — and God is telling us: don't worry, you will be okay — I am here with you. In this week's episode, Nancy uses the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from Daniel 3 to discuss what to do when we find ourselves thrown into life's fire. No matter what you might be facing or what comes up in the future, remember two things: God is with you…and He's in control. If you feel like you're in the furnace right now, then this episode is for you. Don't look ahead to your situation and think, There's just no way I'm going to get through this. Put your confidence in God and keep moving forward, because He is with you and He will help you through it. God is with you in the fire, and He's the Way when there is no way. Scriptures in this episode: Daniel 3 Isaiah 43:1-2 Reflection Questions: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego chose not to bow down to the image of gold. While their decision makes sense, it isn't always easy to choose God in certain times. Why do we have difficulty at times to choose God and His will, specifically in tough or difficult circumstances? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego chose to die instead of worship another God. What do their actions tell us about their character and their faith? Would you give your life for God like Shadrach, Meschach, & Abednego did? Why or why not? Romans 4:20-21 TPT He never stopped believing God's promise, for he was made strong in his faith to father a child. And because he was mighty in faith and convinced that God had all the power needed to fulfill his promises, Abraham glorified God! Sometimes it's hard to stay faithful to God's promise when it seems like the odds are stacked against us. God's ways aren't our ways nor does he operate on our time. What seems impossible to us, is possible for God. Yet, we give up hope and lose faith if God doesn't answer our prayers when we want Him to. Abraham never doubted the power of God in his life. He was almost one hundred years old when God revealed to Him that he would have his son. But still, in spite of his old age, he believed in the promise of God. What we can learn from Abraham is that his focus was on God's power to fulfill his promises and not on the circumstances he was facing. Abraham knew that God was willing and able to keep every promise he made to him. In this week's episode Nancy encourages you to never stop believing no matter how bleak the situation may seem, because you're never too old and it's never too late for God to fulfill his promise. If you've been waiting on a prayer to be answered, are wavering in your faith or find yourself struggling to believe in God's promise, this episode is for you. Scriptures referenced in this episode: Genesis 21 Romans 4:16 Hebrews 11:8 Reflection Questions: Does your faith inspire you to live beyond your comfort zone? When was the last time your faith put you in a situation where you were uncomfortable? How do you react when you're out of your comfort zone? Do you have a prayer that God hasn't answered yet? Do you feel like God is forsaking you? While we know God is in control and we know that He has reasons for His delays, it can be challenging to face those delays. A delay is not a denial, but can be a time of preparing you for the promise. It is very hard when we cannot “see” God in action, but that doesn't mean he isn't acting on our behalf. In this week's episode, Nancy discusses the blessings in delays and the reasons why God doesn't answer some prayers immediately. Before you get discouraged and assume God doesn't hear you, remember, if the blessing is delayed, it's because God has allowed that delay. When He's ready, He will release all He has for you. There is no one and nothing that has authority to override the sovereign will of God. He does what He wants to do when He gets ready to do it. If you are waiting on an unanswered prayer, feeling like God has abandoned you or feel your faith is wavering then this episode is for you. Listen, share and subscribe! Loving this episode? One of the most powerful ways of inspiring others is by using the one thing you have that no one else has – your story. Your individual experience of the world is the most valuable asset you possess. Telling your story – with all its challenges, mistakes, failures, pain, setbacks as well as its joys, successes and victories – says something about what it means to be human. If the internet has taught us one thing, it's that everyone has a story – and we love to share them. “The most important single ingredient in the formula of success is knowing how to get along with people.” - Theodore Roosevelt One of the most profound experiences we can have in our lives is the connection we have with others. Change your thoughts, change your life. That's easier said than done, yet it is the key to changing your life. In this week's episode, Nancy uses Romans 12:2 as reference for this week's message. What we think about matters and our thoughts do indeed create our reality. But how do we change a negative mindset into a positive mindset? Scripture says clearly that to achieve victory over your mind it must be continually renewed by the power of God's word. Romans 12:2 states “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” God puts conforming to the world and being transformed by the renewal of your mind in opposition. There is no grey area. Your mind is either being won for the kingdom of God or lost to the world. You are either thinking pleasing thoughts to God or not. You are either experiencing the abundant life Jesus made available to you or not. If you struggle with fear, doubt, insecurity, or mastering your thoughts, this episode is for you! Have you ever felt lost, confused, unsure of yourself or your place in the world? Or maybe you've made poor choices, bad decisions, ran with the wrong crowd and believe you're so far gone that there's no way back for you. In this week's episode, Nancy is digging into Luke 15 and the parable of the prodigal son and using it to remind you that no one is ever too far gone to receive God's grace and forgiveness. It doesn't matter how far you stray or how you squander the gifts God has given you, he is always waiting for you to return to him with open arms. He is your redeemer. Isaiah 44:21-22 tells us: 21 “Remember these things, Jacob, for you, Israel, are my servant. I have made you, you are my servant; Israel, I will not forget you. 22 I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Are you waiting patiently on God to get a prayer answered? Isn't that the way most of us live our lives? We are forced or even stuck in the “wait” mode. Waiting to grow up, waiting to graduate, get a job, find a spouse, waiting to have a baby…retirement. Sounds monotonous. There has got to be more to life than just waiting. But wait…there is more (pun intended). Could it be that we can do something while we are patiently waiting on God? Does waiting on God mean doing nothing? On the contrary, wait means “a state or attitude of watchfulness and expectancy” according to Webster's Dictionary. It also means “to serve”—just like a waiter waits or serves at a restaurant. How are you waiting on (serving) God during your waiting season? When you're waiting on God to answer your prayers how do you respond? On this week's episode, these are the questions we're asking. Using the title from Maverick City Music's popular song, Wait On You, Nancy encourages you to think about how you can turn your waiting season into your serving season. God wants us to serve him while we wait. Tune in to listen to this week's message as Nancy shares some tips on how to serve God while you wait. What would you accomplish if you fully stepped into what God created you specifically to do? Many people in the world today are unsure of their value and because we doubt our worth we also doubt that God can use us. Many of us are deeply insecure, so when the world tells us we're only worth as much as our success, our bank account, our looks or worldly materials we believe it. Your worth is not found in what you do or in the possessions you have, but because the Lord affirms your value in the Scriptures. You are valuable because God, the creator of the universe, is the potter of your life. There's planning, purpose and design that led up to your existence. The Lord has given you a unique personality as well as natural strengths, weaknesses and unique abilities. God had a plan for your life since the beginning of time. You existed in the mind and plan of God before you ever existed in your mother's womb. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us so. In this week's episode, Nancy delves into the book of Jeremiah to remind you that like Jeremiah, God made you just how you are for a specific purpose to fulfill a specific calling at this specific time. If you struggle with obedience on God's calling for your life, this episode is for you. Scriptures Mentioned in This Episode: Jeremiah 1:4-9 Personal Lessons From Jeremiah: God formed us to be what he wanted us to be in the womb God knew all about us before we were conceived God set us apart for certain ministry before our birth God ordained us to specific ministry including location God overrides all of our inadequacies God rebukes all excuses God specifically directs us in our ministry God encourages us in our ministry God equips every aspect of our ministry God personally authorizes us to do our ministry. We all have been equipped with unique God given gifts so why is it so hard for some of us to discover what our gifts are? You may look at others and see how they are able to help others using their talents and struggle with figuring out how to discover and use yours. While others may seem gifted and talented in certain areas, there are other areas where your skills and talents can be useful. On this week's episode, Nancy discusses the importance of getting into alignment with God in order to discover and recognize your gifts. God created us for His glory. So what God made you to BE enables you to DO what He intends, therefore bringing Him glory, and also bringing you joy. Understanding the person God made you to be will enable you to understand his purpose for you.
