In this episode of To The Root, the host for today is Abby Malloy, who sits down with Clear Skin Lab client Carita to discuss her long and emotional journey with cystic acne and the transition from conventional treatments to a functional, root-cause approach to healing. After developing severe acne in her mid-20s, Carita found herself struggling not only physically, but emotionally as well. She shares how acne affected her confidence, daily life, and overall well-being, including the frustration and fear that remained even after completing a full course of Accutane. While conventional treatments initially provided temporary improvement, the acne eventually returned, leaving her searching for answers beyond symptom management alone.Through comprehensive functional testing and personalized support, deeper imbalances were uncovered, including digestive dysfunction, gut imbalances, mineral deficiencies, chronic bloating, fatigue, and stress-related depletion that were contributing to both her skin concerns and overall health symptoms. Abby and Carita discuss the importance of addressing the body holistically and how foundational support for digestion, nutrient status, and gut health became key components of her healing journey. They also explore the emotional side of healing chronic skin conditions, including the patience required when progress feels slow, the discouragement that can arise during setbacks, and the mindset shift necessary to move away from chasing quick fixes. Carita reflects on how personalized guidance, data-driven testing, and long-term foundational care helped her build confidence not only in her skin, but in her overall health.Listen now!HighlightsCarita's experience developing cystic acne in her mid-20s after previously having clear skinThe emotional impact of chronic acne on confidence, mental health, and daily lifeHer experience with conventional acne treatments, including Accutane, antibiotics, and topical therapiesWhy symptom-based approaches failed to address the deeper causes of her skin concernsHow functional testing uncovered digestive dysfunction, gut imbalances, and mineral deficienciesThe connection between gut health, nutrient absorption, inflammation, and acneWhy mineral support became a foundational part of improving energy, digestion, and skin healthThe importance of patience and consistency throughout a long-term healing journeyHow progress tracking and retesting helped provide reassurance during setbacksWhy restrictive elimination diets were not the long-term solution for her healing processThe role of practitioner guidance and personalized support in navigating chronic skin concernsHow addressing overall health improved not only her skin, but also her energy, mood, and confidenceWhy true healing often requires supporting the entire body rather than focusing only on symptomsConnect with Robyn:Instagram: @nutritionbyrobyn Website: https://www.theclearskinlab.com

Join Michaela Nikolaenko and me as we discuss how our view on spiritual warfare has changed. Michaela and I have a similar path; we are both ex-occultists and ex-Protestants and now newly Orthodox Christians. During our journey into the Orthodox faith, we both fell victim to misconceptions about spiritual warfare. As occultists, we both encountered demons. Not realizing what they truly were yet, we were tricked into believing they were our spiritual "friends," trying to utilize them on our path to healing. Once Christ came into our lives, like many new Christians, we fell into not only Protestantism but also charismatic teaching. This experience gave us a whole other deceptive view on what we initially believed spiritual warfare was. By God's grace, we both came to understand that what we had been taught about demons and spiritual warfare was not the truth, and we entered the Orthodox Church—the true church. Once there, we realized the true nature of spiritual warfare and that picking up your cross and following Christ meant an ongoing battle, but not with the eternal demons like we once believed—it was warfare within. A lifelong battle not just with demons, but against our passions and sin.Watch Video on YoutubeIf you enjoy this episode there is also a bonus chat where Michaela and I dive deeper into the topics discussed in this episode. If you've ever felt like you were "guessing" your way through a feeding session, you aren't alone. In fact, many clinicians enter the field with a passion for OT or SLP, only to realize their foundational schooling barely scratched the surface of pediatric feeding. In this episode, Hallie is joined by Courtney Lewis, MOT, OTR/L, CPST, a pediatric feeding specialist and owner of NOSH Pediatric Feeding Therapy. Courtney opens up about her "long and winding road" to feeding—a journey that began with an 8th-grade project and evolved through home health, clinics, and hospitals. They discuss the pivotal moment when Courtney realized she needed more than just general experience to truly help her families. From the "regulation lightbulb" moment that changed how she views patient behavior to the deep empathy she brings as a former "picky eater" herself, this conversation is a masterclass in why specialized training and clinical reasoning are the keys to professional confidence.About the Guest: Courtney Lewis, MOT, OTR/L, CPSTCourtney Lewis is a pediatric occupational therapist, feeding specialist, and the founder of NOSH Pediatric Feeding Therapy. But Dr. Catharine Arnston isn't selling a beauty secret she's sharing 17 years of research into two of the most scientifically documented superfoods on Earth: spirulina and chlorella. In this episode of SHE MD, Mary Alice Haney and Dr. Aliabadi sit down with Dr. Catharine Arnston, Chief Scientific Officer of ENERGYbits, for one of the most eye-opening conversations we've had on this show. It started with her sister's breast cancer diagnosis and a pivot away from a 25-year corporate career. There are over 100,000 peer-reviewed studies on these two algae. NASA has been feeding them to astronauts for 50 years. The United Nations endorsed spirulina as the answer to world hunger. Creating tellable client experiences is the key to standing out in a crowded market—and “good service” isn't enough anymore. In this episode, we break down why good service kills differentiation and how to create memorable customer experiences that drive loyalty, referrals, and premium pricing.Episode SummaryMost businesses rely on generic promises like “great service” or “we care about our customers”—but these phrases don't create trust, loyalty, or emotional connection. Instead, they make you blend in and force customers to choose based on price, convenience, or availability. In this episode, you'll learn how to move beyond “good service” and start designing intentional, tellable experiences that customers remember and share. From creating emotional “pause points” to adding personality and personalization, this conversation explores how small, thoughtful moments can transform your customer journey into a powerful competitive advantage. What You'll Learn in This EpisodeWhy “good service” is a dangerous business strategy that leads to price competitionHow to create tellable client experiences that generate word-of-mouth referralsThe difference between expected service and memorable customer experiencesHow emotional connection drives customer loyalty and repeat businessSimple ways to add personalization (handwritten notes, small gifts, thoughtful touches)What “pause points” are and how to use them in your customer journeyHow to stand out in crowded markets without competing on priceWhy storytelling and customer experience design are critical for premium positioningCreating tellable client experiences is about designing moments that customers notice, remember, and share. Instead of relying on generic service claims, businesses must focus on customer experience design, emotional engagement, and personalization to build lasting relationships. These experiences create perceived value, which allows businesses to charge higher prices and avoid becoming commoditized.By incorporating strategies like personalized follow-ups, intentional surprises, and clearly communicating your unique process, you shift from being just another option to becoming the obvious choice. This approach is especially powerful for service-based businesses, consultants, and entrepreneurs looking to increase referrals, improve retention, and build brand loyalty.Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat are tellable client experiences?Tellable client experiences are memorable interactions that customers naturally want to share with others, often because they are unexpected, personal, or emotionally engaging. Why isn't good service enough anymore?Good service is expected by customers. This conversation serves as a wake-up call for anyone at the top who feels the weight of stress and burnout, offering a roadmap to trade ego-driven tyranny for a leadership style rooted in love and wholeness.

In this powerful continuation of our conversation, Annie Bertrand returns to take us deeper into her signature work: ancestral astrology, mother wounds, karmic cycles, and the soul-level patterns that shape our families across generations. In part one, we explored the foundations of astrology and how to understand your chart. In part two, we turn toward the lineage-level healing work — the real-life applications that influence how we mother, how we relate, and how we break the cycles we were born into.Throughout the episode, we explore the real-life tension points most moms face: the self-awareness trap, the fear of “messing up” our kids, the feeling of holding three generations' worth of emotional weight, and the challenge of navigating growth when our partners or families aren't on the same path. Annie offers a grounded, compassionate reminder that healing our own patterns is what shifts the lineage — and that change often ripples through our families without forcing, convincing, or controlling anyone. If you've been craving a deeper understanding of your family dynamics, curious about ancestral healing, or looking for tools to better support your children's emotional world, this conversation will leave you both expanded and grounded. Annie's approach to astrology is practical, accessible, and deeply validating — offering a map for healing your lineage, supporting your kids, and embodying the parent you were meant to be.In this episode, we explore:Ancestral astrology as a tool for understanding inherited patterns, family karma, and the soul contracts we choose before birthHow mother wounds, generational trauma, and lineage stories show up in the Moon sign, Saturn, Chiron, and the IC (lineage axis)The difference between talk therapy vs. energy healing, and why emotional patterns must be addressed through the body and nervous systemHow past-life imprints, karmic memories, and unexplained fears can resurface through motherhood and parentingThe ways parents unconsciously repeat generational patterns — and how to break cycles with awareness, compassion, and energetic workHow to navigate sibling dynamics, emotional mismatches, and conflicting personalities through family astrologyThe “self-awareness trap” and why mothers often feel pressure to parent perfectly when doing lineage-healing workWhy children under seven are especially attuned to their mother's emotional field — and how your healing directly shifts their subconsciousHow to show up as the energetic invitation when your partner or family isn't on the same growth or healing journeyHow astrology helps you honor your unique blueprint, break free from conditioning, and parent from intuition rather than fearBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Annie:Website: anniebertrand.com

As we enter 2026, so many of us want to face the year with the strongest mindset possible. With that in mind, I decided to rebroadcast my most listened-to episode, which explores why thought work in isolation can actually be detrimental.I don't use the word “detrimental” lightly—this realization came after hitting a very real personal rock bottom. I am a huge believer in the power of the mind and the importance of thinking in ways that are useful, supportive, and empowering. But through my own lived experience and through working with hundreds of clients and coaches, I came to understand that mindset work alone, without a full understanding of the brain, body, emotions, and nervous system, can do real harm. The key takeaway here is simple, yet profound: not all feelings arise from thoughts. Emotions have their own narratives and are often stored within our bodies, carrying important messages. The nervous system plays a crucial role in this interplay, and a "thoughts create feelings" perspective ignores that. 80% of messages travel from our bodies to our brains, not the other way around. This topic is not particularly light, but it is encouraging and deeply important. It is what catapulted my journey into creating holistic Master Coach Training—so I can help coaches be safe and ethical, and help each of you, as a human invested in your own growth, understand how to support self-mastery in a way that creates wholeness and healthy patterns. Whether you're a coach wanting to deepen your holistic approach, or someone on your own personal growth journey, I'm honored to share this very important episode with you again. What you'll learn:Why a thought-work-only perspective overlooks how the brain, body, and nervous system interactHow thought work in isolation can unintentionally increase emotional harm and self-blameWhy a whole-person approach is essential for safe and ethical coachingHow expanding beyond thought work was a turning point in my personal journeyHow holistic coaching creates a ripple effect that extends beyond the individualYou can read the full show notes here.Connect with Molly ClaireGet the book: She Rises: Insights and Wisdom from the Women of The Masterful Coach CollectiveMolly's Website: MollyClaire.ComMaster Coach Training 2026 Application Open Have a question or thoughts about the podcast? Episode 336: From "For Me" to "Through Me" - The Next Evolution of Consciousness

In this profound and esoteric episode of The Alpha Male Coach Podcast, Kevin invites you into a rare conversation at the edge of human potential - a thought experiment into the future of consciousness, human evolution, and the energetic shift from survival to service. For years, you've heard the foundational teaching: the movement from life is happening to me to life is happening for me. This is the fundamental awakening - the transition from victim consciousness to empowered creator consciousness. It's the moment the lights come on in the mind. The moment a man stops living as a reactor and begins living as a deliberate participant in his reality. That shift alone transforms relationships, health, wealth, confidence, and inner authority. But today, Kevin takes you one layer deeper - into the next stage of spiritual evolution. Life happening through me.This is not self-sacrifice. It's not people-pleasing. It is the transcendence of personal gratification through the recognition that true fulfillment comes not from receiving, but from giving. It is the spiritual radical idea that a future version of humanity may derive its deepest joy from serving, supporting, uplifting, and creating for others - because the self and the other are no longer experienced as separate.Kevin explores:Why the movement from to me → for me is only the beginning of the journeyHow the ego's survival-based mindset keeps us in perpetual debt consciousnessWhat happens when human desire evolves from seeking to servingWhy love is a one-directional monopole - a force that only givesHow wealth, economy, and the concept of “lack” dissolve when identity expandsWhy some beings in history touched this level of consciousness - and most never knew their namesThe possibility that artificial intelligence may support this evolution rather than threaten itThis episode is an invitation - not a demand. A vision - not an instruction. It asks you to feel into a future where waking up thinking “What can I get?” becomes “What can I give?”, not because you should, but because it is the highest source of joy available to your being.Brother, this message is for those of you ready to contemplate the unimaginable. For the men who sense that humanity is evolving — and that our inner work today is building the energetic foundation of the world to come. This is not philosophy. It is direction. It is orientation. It is an initiation into higher service, higher purpose, and cosmic identity. If you've ever wondered what's after enlightenment… what's beyond manifestation… what lies on the other side of “alignment” - this episode is a beacon on that horizon.Listen in, expand your lens, and remember - evolution is not earned. It is inevitable.

"I hear from people every single day about how they've been harmed physically and emotionally by things that influencers and content creators online have sold to them."You've probably noticed diet trends come and go, from raw vegan frugivore diets to the current protein obsession, but what's less obvious is how healing your relationship with food changes more than just how you eat. It shifts how you feel, how you relate to others, and even how you view your past. In my conversation with Registered Dietitian and content creator, Abbey Sharp, we dig deep into the messy middle of food healing: from the anger and blame many of us experience at the start, to the compassion and empathy that grows with time.We look back on diet trends that might make you say, “Wait, did we really do that?” - like viral fruit-only diets and food combining rules. Abbey shares her journey combating misinformation online, the harm caused by extreme influencers, and how relentless trends keep fueling confusion and frustration. Together, we talk about the power of not rushing healing and why allowing yourself to feel and reflect can eventually make empathy come easily and naturally. From what it's like to be on the receiving end of body comments, to how embracing a balanced, non-extreme way of eating is truly health-promoting, this episode reminds us that while diet culture is loud, you are not alone in your healing. Whether you're in the thick of it or starting to feel things shift, there is hope for a more peaceful, intuitive relationship with food. What You'll Learn:What it looks like to move from anger and resentment to compassion and empathy in your food healing journeyHow diet culture trends from the early 2010s to today's “SkinnyTok” cause real harm, especially onlineWhy quick fixes and extreme approaches are not sustainable, and what truly promotes lasting healthHow Abbey handled body comments during a challenging season, and her advice for setting boundariesWhat “fake it till you make it” means when it comes to practicing food freedom and body neutralityThe biggest nutrition myths still floating around online (and which one Abbey would love to erase forever!)Whether you feel stuck or frustrated in your journey, I promise you are not alone in questioning diet culture.
