Let's be honest: most of you are out here doing WAY too much of what doesn't matter - especially when it comes to fitness. You're consuming alllll the content, chasing new & shiny workouts, and trying to “fix” the weekend by starting over every freaking Monday. You're obsessing over fat burners and the “perfect” macros, but honestly, where the hell is it REALLY getting you?! Here's the deal - more isn't better. Doing “more” will only lead you to burnout, paralysis, and like you're never enough. Better means focusing on what *actually* moves the needle: progressive strength training, walking daily, hitting your protein, managing stress, and creating routines that fit YOUR actual life. I knooow this isn't sexy or flashy, but this is what WORKS.You don't need more noise. You need clarity, simplicity, and you need to get laser-focused on doing the stuff that truly MATTERS on your fitness journey. Figuring this out can be a game-changer for you this summer, AND for the long-term!!In this episode, we cover:Why doing MORE isn't always better + what to focus on insteadThe common trap that keeps many of us “stuck” in overwhelmWhat doesn't actually move the needle on your fitness journeyHabits & routines that DO make a difference on your fitness journeyHow to audit your OWN fitness routine so you can simplify & get resultsLinks/Resources:Join IT GIRL Community Membership Join FIT CLUB, my monthly membership with workouts you can do at home or the gymPRIVATE COACHING is my 1:1 program (choose 3 or 6 month option)Connect with me on Instagram @kristycastillofit and @unfuckyourfitnesspodcast so we can keep this conversation going-be sure to tag me in your posts and stories!Join my FREE Facebook group, Unf*ck Your FitnessClick HERE for my favorite fitness & life things!Send me a text with episode ideas or just to say hi! This week on GTM Live, Carolyn unpacks one of the most deeply ingrained—but damaging—habits in B2B go-to-market: measuring success based on which department sourced the deal. While many marketing leaders know this approach doesn't reflect reality, changing it is hard, especially in legacy orgs with outdated attribution models, internal inertia, and leadership that still demands simple answers to complex questions. In this solo episode, Carolyn breaks down the real problem: measuring performance by team creates siloed decision-making, warped incentives, and misses what actually moves buyers through the funnel. You'll hear why the future of GTM performance measurement is about mapping buyer behavior across an interconnected journey, not slicing credit by department. And she shares the exact 5-part framework Passetto uses to help teams ditch "department-sourced" for something far more accurate and impactful. If you've ever struggled to prove Marketing's full impact, or if your exec team is still obsessed with MQLs and last-touch attribution, this episode will hit home.Key topics in this episode:Why “department source” attribution is outdated and misleadingThe real structure of a modern buyer journeyHow this model leads to misaligned KPIs and credit battlesWhy most GTM teams lack the data architecture to measure what mattersA new framework to measure engagement, prospecting, and sales as one integrated systemThis episode is powered by Passetto. We help high-growth and equity-backed B2B SaaS companies turn GTM data into better decisions, faster. We unify your GTM and financial data, identify your growth levers, and help you scale. It Happened To Me: A Rare Disease and Medical Challenges Podcast
Jaime Albright Henighan shares her family's journey after two of her sons, Joshua and Jorden, were diagnosed with a rare genetic kidney disease called APOL1-mediated FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis). Jaime's story highlights the importance of early detection, education, and advocacy for families navigating this challenging condition. She discusses her partnership with Nephcure, a patient advocacy organization, and her mission to raise awareness about FSGS, especially among individuals of West African descent, who are at higher risk due to the APOL1 gene mutation. Topics Covered: What is FSGS?: Understanding APOL1-mediated FSGS and its impact on kidney health. The Family's Journey: How high blood pressure led to Joshua's diagnosis, and the shock of discovering Jorden had the same condition. The Role of Genetics: Why individuals of West African descent are at greater risk and the importance of genetic awareness. Early Detection: How identifying symptoms early has helped Jaime's sons manage their health. Advocacy and Education: Jaime's work with Nephcure and her efforts to raise awareness globally, including in Ghana. Parenting Through Challenges: Jaime's emotional journey as a mother and her advice for other parents navigating rare diseases. Key Moments: Jaime explains how her family discovered FSGS and the challenges they faced in obtaining a diagnosis. Insights into the genetic factors behind APOL1-mediated FSGS and its prevalence in specific populations. Advocacy efforts to educate families and healthcare providers about the disease. Guest Bio: Jaime is a wife and mother of six. Her family resides in Alpharetta, GA. She is also a Forensic Interviewer and Podcast Producer at Tenderfoot TV. In 2021, her seemingly healthy 17 year old son, Joshua, was randomly diagnosed with high blood pressure. This led to additional testing and a diagnosis of Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), a rare genetic kidney disease. Later that year, her 25 year old son, Jorden, was also diagnosed with FSGS. This was shocking to the Albright Henighan family. How could they be at high risk of a disease that they had never heard of? They connected with Nephcure, a patient advocacy organization, for support and resources. They learned that 1 in 8 people of West African descent are at risk of APOL1 mediated FSGS due to a genetic mutation. Thanks to early detection, her sons are stable today but this is a rare outcome for FSGS patients due to a lack of education and barriers in the medical community. They decided to share their story across the United States and even in Ghana. Their goal is to educate and empower others. If caught early, there are medical interventions and clinical research trials that can save native kidneys and lives. There is hope for FSGS patients. Resources Mentioned: Nephcure Kidney International: Advocacy and support for families affected by kidney diseases. Information on APOL1-mediated FSGS and genetic testing. It goes way beyond fat loss or muscle gain, and can be super personalized to you and YOUR goals. For some reason, we've made health and fitness all about ‘losing weight'; we associate being ‘healthy' with being a smaller or skinnier version of ourselves. I'm honestly SO over this narrative. I believe that taking more of a holistic approach with body recomp can truly transform your physique, mindset, and entire life!As I've been experiencing my own health challenges the last few months, I'm grateful for tools like body recomp. As we celebrate Women's History Month and International Women's Day, we're diving deep into the stories of women in the Bible—women with broken pasts, difficult circumstances, and unlikely beginnings, yet God still chose them to do His kingdom work. From Mary Magdalene to Rahab, their transformations remind us that no one is beyond God's grace. But this isn't just about them—it's about us, too. I get real and vulnerable as I share two personal testimonies of how God's protection covered me in ways I can't explain: the time one of my poor choices left me stranded miles away from home and had to hitchhike and the terrifying moment when my husband and I were saved from what could have been a deadly car accident. These experiences remind me that even with my own broken past and poor decisions, God is using me to share His word and bring others closer to Him.Walking the narrow road isn't easy, but it's necessary. In this episode, we're unpacking:How God redeems and transforms lives, no matter where we've beenWhy perseverance and endurance are essential for our faith journeyHow to stay aligned with God's will, even when life tries to pull you off coursePractical ways to find your way back when you feel lost or under attackNo matter your past, no matter your struggles, God's grace is bigger. His love is relentless. And He is calling YOU higher. Tune in for some encouragement, biblical wisdom, and a reminder that God is always moving in your life—even in the moments when you least expect it.
