THE WEEK OF TRINITY III - SATURDAYLESSON: LUKE 19:1-10The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. 1 Timothy 1:15If you feel your sins biting you, and your heart is wavering and beginning to tremble, take your place on the side where the tax collectors are standing, for they are the people for whom the Gospel is intended.Do this quite joyfully and say, “Dear God, according to your own words, there is greater joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. All the angels and the righteous are interceding for this sinner and covering his sin. Now, dear God, here I am, and I feel my sins. My case is already decided. All I now need is a shepherd to seek me out; I will entrust myself feely to your Gospel.”So, you come to God, and you are already the sheep that God has taken on His shoulders; you have already found your shepherd. You are the coin already lying in the hand; you are the one over whom all the angels of heaven are rejoicing.Whether you feel all this right away or not must not disturb you in any way. Sin falls away gradually, and the bite in your conscience will impel you to keep on seeking God. You must fight with your faith against your feeling and say, “Dear God, I know what you have said; to this Word I will cling. I am the sheep and the coin; you are the shepherd and the woman.”SL 11:1241 (21-22)PRAYER: I thank and praise You, heavenly Father, for Your grace and mercy in seeking me out and finding me with Your Gospel of salvation. Preserve and keep me in Your mercy and grace, in and through Jesus Christ the Savior. Amen.Editor's note: No American Edition (AE) equivalent for today's sermon excerpt exists at the time of this publication. Pastor Julie Lewis celebrates Pentecost with a message entitled "Truth Be Told" focusing on the way the truth is spoken to all of Jesus Christ's followers.  The proclamation of our faith is a bold act that puts us in place to hear the truth and it isn't always easy but when we learn and live in the truth we are able to live courageously and spread that truth to a world that rarely wants to hear it but that is desperately in need of it.Scripture is from John 15:26-27, 16:15If you are looking for a church home in the central Delaware area, we hope that you will consider visiting Asbury.  You can find more information about worship, ministries of the church, and more on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/asburyumcsmyrna.

And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.In those days Peter stood up among the brothers (the company of persons was in all about 120) and said, “Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus. For he was numbered among us and was allotted his share in this ministry.” (Now this man bought a field with the reward of his wickedness, and falling headlong he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out. And it became known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the field was called in their own language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.) “For it is written in the Book of Psalms,“‘May his camp become desolate, and let there be no one to dwell in it’; And “‘Let another take his office.’So one of the men who have accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us—one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection.” And they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias. And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.” And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.Epistle Reading – 1 John 5:9–15If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son.And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.The Holy Gospel according to St. John, the seventeenth chapter.[Jesus said:] “Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.”

THE WEEK OF QUINQUAGESIMA - MONDAYLESSON: MATTHEW 26:14-25Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15If we are considering the passion of Christ in the correct way, its immediate effect on us should be a feeling of deep shock and an uneasy conscience. We should be deeply shocked when we see the harsh wrath of God and His unrelenting seriousness in dealing with sin and sinners. He is not prepared to release sinners to His only and dearly beloved Son unless this Son assumes a very heavy penalty on their behalf. He Himself tells us through the prophet that this Son was “stricken for the transgression of my people” (Isaiah 53:8).What can ever befall the sinner after the most beloved Son has been smitten in this way? There must have been unspeakable and unrelenting seriousness here if it required such an immeasurably great Person to render satisfaction and to suffer and die in this connection.If you ponder the matter deeply enough and remember that it is God's own Son, the eternal wisdom of the Father, who is suffering here, you will be shocked, and the deeper you ponder it, the more deeply you will be shocked.Fix it firmly in your heart and mind and have no doubt at all that it was you who brought all this suffering upon Christ. Your sins were responsible for the sufferings of Christ.SL.XI.576,4AE 76,426PRAYER: Dear heavenly Father, we can only stutter in response to the unspeakable grace and mercy which you have bestowed upon us in the suffering and death of your dearly beloved Son. Accept this stuttering in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

Disciple Up # 187 What About Repentance, Works & Salvation? By Louie Marsh, 11-25-2020   Intro. Happy Thanksgiving!   An E-mail comes in:   Hello louie this is josh again and I have been struggling to understand this topic that I have came apon concerning ones salvation. The topic is a few questions, are we saved in just believing in christ or Is repentance required for salvation? Roman's 10:9-13. In this passage Paul does not mention repentance as a need for salvation. Is believing enough or is there more we need to do to be saved? What got me thinking about this was this video I watched on this topic, which I would like for you to watch and see if what his is saying is right   Mike, holdingfirmly channel on YouTube If You Do Well Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOAdqrvjUn0&feature=youtu.be   “The Great deception among most Professed Christians is they refuse to recognize that Patient Continuance in Doing Well is the determining factor on whether or not they will enter the Kingdom of God. They think Salvation is a Package deal, that once they 'receive Jesus forgiveness of past, present and future sins is assured and nothing they do or don't do from that point forward has any bearing on the outcome of their inheritance of eternal life. Under the 'not of works', collective reasoning 'doing well' may be a by-product of Faith, but its never a necessity in that 'NOT doing well will disqualify them form the Kingdom.”   Mistakes – “he told Cain to do well which he wouldn't have done if he had a sin nature.” BUT Jesus regularly told people who were fallen to “go and sin not.” Plus later he says the whole structure of the Scriptures is God telling us to do well, but that contradicts which said about Cain.   “God expects an increase of His grace.”  What does that even mean? How can you or I increase God's grace since that comes from him and is a part of him?   This is based on a misunderstanding of the Old Testament Covenants (yes, there were more than one) and the New Testament covenant of Jesus.   He only quotes part of this passage and then concludes that the disciples were able to deal with sin –   “21And he said to her, “What do you want?” She said to him, “Say that these two sons of mine are to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your kingdom.” 22Jesus answered, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am to drink?” They said to him, “We are able.” 23He said to them, “You will drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”” (Matthew 20:21–23, ESV)   - when the passage proves the opposite! Great example of Is eisegesis – forming an opinion and then forcing it upon the text.   This man cannot properly interpret Scripture.   He either doesn't know about or ignores one of the primary rules of interpretation of Scripture which is: You interpret the Old Testament in light of the New Testament. Not the other way around, which is what he does.   He points out that in the OT you had to work to be saved or in the kingdom, then he quotes Jesus to support this (mangling His words as seen above) and then concludes he's right. He forgets or ignores that Jesus lived under the Old Covenant and spoke to people who lived under it too!   It's not till He rises from the grave that the New Covenant takes effect.   They FAILED when they betrayed Christ!   I'm not saying he's bad or evil or is deliberately trying to mislead. I am saying he's wrong, woefully wrong and in a way that anyone who's taken even ONE class on how to interpret the Bible ought to be able to see.   Josh's Questions:   Are we saved in just believing in Christ or Is repentance required for salvation? Roman's 10:9-13. In this passage Paul does not mention repentance as a need for salvation. Is believing enough or is there more we need to do to be saved?   Does God expect an increase of his grace? Can you be saved in your sin by faith alone? Are there deeds required in faithfulness.   Watch out for Proof Texting   A proof text is a passage of scripture presented as proof for a theological doctrine, belief, or principle.  Proof texting (sometimes "proof-texting" or "proof texting") is the practice of using isolated, out-of-context quotations from a document to establish a proposition in eisegesis (introducing one's own presuppositions, agendas, or biases). Such quotes may not accurately reflect the original intent of the author, and a document quoted in such a manner, when read as a whole, may not support the proposition for which it was cited. The term has currency primarily in theological and exegetical circles.   “8But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”” (Romans 10:8–11, ESV)   Notice that this doesn't mention repentance. So is it really necessary? Proof texters would say this proves it's not important! But they taking the wrong approach. You need to look at all the verses on this subject and see what they say. Note that this verse doesn't say you have to ask God to forgive your sins either.   Is that now something we don't do?       Repentance is one of the things we do, along with believing, confessing and being baptized, that we do when we make Jesus the Lord of our lives.   Does God expect an increase of his grace?   Honestly and sincerely I don't know what this means.   “20Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,” (Romans 5:20, ESV)   “15For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:15, ESV)   “6which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth,” (Colossians 1:6, ESV)   Can you be saved in your sin by faith alone?   I already answered this.   Are there deeds required in faithfulness.   “14What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? 17So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!” (James 2:14–19, ESV)   “26For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.” (James 2:26, ESV)   You aren't saved by works, but your works prove your faith. That's it and that's all.   This guys “Doing Well” stuff has another fatal flaw in it that I've save for now – HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOU'VE DONE WELL ENOUGH TO BE SAVED?   He gives no standard for us to look too. There's nothing about that in the Bible. So you are left up on your own never being sure if you are accepted by God or not.   You don't have to have read much of the NT to see that this kind of insecurity isn't typical of the language used about salvation. If he's right then no one can ever know they are saved since they cannot know if they done well enough.

Disciple Up #180 Shepherding: Feeding & Defending the Flock By Louie Marsh, 10-7-2020   Intro. An e-mail poured in! Disagreement on what I said about Witness Lee and the Local Church. Episode 73-74.   So what is the duty of teachers and shepherds when it comes to dealing with doctrinal error and, sometimes, out right heresy? Let's take a look!   Everyone – Leaders Included – Must Watch Their Mouth!   Yes, I am very well aware that we'll be judged for every careless word we speak. I'll go even further we are also commanded not to lie and not to condemn our brothers when we disagree with them   “34You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. 36I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, 37for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”” (Matthew 12:34–37, ESV)   “4Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.” (Romans 14:4, ESV)   “6The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. 8For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.” (Romans 14:6–8, ESV)   “1“Judge not, that you be not judged. 2For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.” (Matthew 7:1–5, ESV)   TEACHERS AND SHEPHERDS HAVE DUTIES FROM GOD   FEED AND LEAD:   When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” 16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” 17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. (Jn 21:15–17).   However, pastors and teachers aren't just commanded to teach and lead the flock. We are also called upon to defend it when necessary. James says teachers are under a stricter judgement and this tension between not being judgmental but being discerning and defending your flock from harm, is part of the weight of that judgement.   Ezekiel tells us that if the watchman doesn't warn those under his care he will be condemned. So yes, I am very aware of this and living with the weight of this greater judgement is something I agreed to take on when I became a teacher and pastor.   WATCHMEN – PROTECTING THE FLOCK   “1The word of the Lord came to me: 2“Son of man, speak to your people and say to them, If I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and make him their watchman, 3and if he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet and warns the people, 4then if anyone who hears the sound of the trumpet does not take warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But if he had taken warning, he would have saved his life. 6But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.” (Ezekiel 33:1–6, ESV)   “3Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. 4For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.” (Jude 3–4, ESV)   “5And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?” 6And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, “ ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; 7in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' 8You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.”” (Mark 7:5–8, ESV)   Should We Name Names?   “11But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. 12For before certain men came from James, he was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and separated himself, fearing the circumcision party.” (Galatians 2:11–12, ESV)   “19holding faith and a good conscience. By rejecting this, some have made shipwreck of their faith, 20among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.” (1 Timothy 1:19–20, ESV)   “16But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness, 17and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18who have swerved from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already happened. They are upsetting the faith of some.” (2 Timothy 2:16–18, ESV)   If the people involved are public figures – like I am – the answer is yes!   THE PRICE OF LEADERSHIP:   “1Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. 2For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.” (James 3:1–2, ESV)   God's judgement is based on what you know.   “20For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20, ESV)   That's the only way His judgements can be just. He can't condemn or justify you if you didn't something was right or wrong.   “47And that servant who knew his master's will but did not get ready or act according to his will, will receive a severe beating. 48But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.” (Luke 12:47–48, ESV)   “12Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— 13each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. 14If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.” (1 Corinthians 3:12–15, ESV)

We need to ask ourselves, "what am I submitting to?"A couple of my favorite verses are in the 3rd Chapter of Colossians and Colossians 3:15 says:"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful." - Colossians 3:15If the word let is there, that means you have to choose it. So we have the ability to make the conscious decision to allow the peace of Christ to rule in our heart, to be the thing we submit to. So if we are not submitting to the peace of Christ, what is ruling us? What what are we bowing down to? What are we submitting to?Probably fear, anger, greed, selfish desires, anger, etc. Then one verse later, my favorite verse Colossians 3:16 says:"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts." - Colossians 3:16What's dwelling in you richly today? The answer would be words, but which words? We have to make a choice to allow the word of quiet of Christ to dwell in us richly and that is what has the steering wheel. Whatever is dwelling in us richly is the thing that drives our behavior. Our thoughts are words and so my encouragement to you today is to put down your phone and instead of doom-scrolling, try scripture-scrolling.

How you can use the Enneagram to leverage and build wealth Are you trying to build a wall of wealth and security around your family and struggling to move the needle effectively? In this week’s episode, I dive deep into how the Enneagram can be used as the sharpest tool in your box to build profit, passion, and wealth. I discuss how using the Enneagram allowed me to understand people, their language, fears, motivations, and purpose, and how this enabled me to empower and connect with them. Listen to this week’s episode to see how the Enneagram can play to your own strengths, leverage other people’s, build your business, impact your company, and drive profit to leave behind the legacy you have always dreamed of. How the Enneagram changed my life The Enneagram came into my life when I was at my lowest, right after an unexpected loss made me realize how precious and unreliable our most important resource is--time. I had just severed ties with my entire network, friends, community, and was fresh out of rehab trying to overhaul my life and business—I knew that something needed to change. I walk through how discovering the Enneagram’s superpowers enabled me to speak the same language as my family and my new network, and how this completely transformed relationships and my business—turning it into a multimillion organization within 26 months. How the Enneagram can work for you I outline how the Enneagram allows you to work smarter, not harder, and I talk about how, when used correctly and with integrity, it can bring out the best in everyone. The key to being a good leader is not only knowing yourself, but being able to bring out strengths in those around you—to see, understand and hear them. When improving profit margin, knowing how to incentivize and motivate people will drive productivity and grow profit. In a world where everything around us is a transaction—whether emotional or physical—it’s crucial to effectively and efficiently communicate, cut down time cost, and increase how quickly you move the needle. Stop wasting time, start making money, and learn how applying the Enneagram can increase profit and fulfillment in your life, business, and relationships, so you can Become Bulletproof. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.15If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing; whoever attacks you will surrender to you.16“See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. Skill vs threshold - a conversation

RedPill Training Podcast

A conversation, Skill vs Threshold.The way oxygen works and moves around the body and how we strategize different energy systems…I’m purposely avoiding the word ‘aerobic’ because there is a skill element to it and a more power element to how oxygen is used around the body. We’re going to go a little bit technical at points but also give some really good take home elements that you can apply to your training and as coaches get something from it.1.49Sam Briggs is very good at utilising oxygen, JJ as her coach how much of a difference does it make to be good at utilising oxygen? We often talk about the strength elements, being stronger etc… is there a carry-over between the utilisation of oxygen and strength and power?3.25Essentially what’s happening is the components of exercise are coexisting… you are only as strong as your strongest and weak as your weakest and looking at neurological fitness or the inter / intra muscular control and how the athlete coordinates and how muscle firing patterns essentially fire and right or wrong times which coordinates movement and of course the more advanced that is or the more skilful that is, the more weight you’ll lift. Essentially that is strength, contrary to popular belief. A big element is the aerobic side and Sam’s capacity to work at 95% is unmatchable. Her 95% might not be same weight but her ability to turn the bar over, whereas someone with a lower aerobic capacity would be able to coordinate the movement better and use less energy- ultimately it will come down to ATP adenity triphosphate and how much we can produce and how quickly. The skilful athlete will … requires less energy because they are skilful, but Sam can produce more energy … so they are on different scales, but the outcome might be the same speed. Having that skill acquisition balance against threshold how do you programme for that? Do you say, “right, strength isn’t our strength so we’re going to leave that alone,” or do you work more on that because it isn’t our strength and go right I’m going to rely on being able to work harder at 95% and do even more and bag onto our strengths?9:00Just to clarify what I mean by Inter and Intra muscular control…InterHow muscles interact with each other to coordinate motion. So, you will have a sequencing pattern that precipitates that when you run, for example, the calf is activated before the quads because the force is coming from the floor and they don’t all fire at the same time, there is a wave or sequence.IntraWhat’s happening inside the muscle itself.On the aerobic side of things, the ability to produce oxygen is an inter muscular skill, not produce oxygen, sorry – have oxygen produce ATP and how you utilise oxygen and how I coordinate my muscles relative to each other or what’s happening inside the muscle are two very different things. They co-exist and they work together but they are different things.Having more efficiency in the muscle enables me to coordinate the inter and fire at the right times.That’s what you’ll see with stiffness for example or flexibility that the sequencing is off. A very crude example not even talking about muscles but the leg. The calf fires a little early and that puts stress or moves that force or torque to another part of the body.10.26Jowsey, how do you test those different elements?Coaching Strategies – 13.15If you don’t understand me, or you don’t understand the cue it’s not you that’s stupid it’s my communication strategy that is. So, as coaches if we find ourselves repeating the same cues over and over we need to do something different.14:00 Biomechanical AssessmentSkill acquisition and trying to teach skill without necessarily banging our head against the wall and over coaching and over repeating, how do you manage that process with technical things like Olympic weightlifting?17:48It’s quite often we will see people take a step forward after a clean or a snatch… the right leg will go forward. What we’re seeing is one side is moving quicker than the other side and that is that inter muscular sequencing… one leg is producing more power and one is less power. The leg you step forward with is probably the good leg and the one you want to focus on is the other. There is a miscommunication somewhere. So, for the people listening who are recording their lifts and see something can they do something about it? Or do they need to come and see a RedPill coach?21.04We are still talking about aerobic and oxygen… now we have to talk about how many and much. We’ve covered intensity, intensity is how much I do once. I think people think that running 400m as fast as you possibly can and dying at the end has intensity to it but it’s not that intense… the most powerful movements in the world are the golf swing, cricket bowl, baseball pitch, snatch these are 100% intensity, almost. In those 100% intensity lifts or sports or whatever… inter muscular coordination is crucial because if that’s off by a mm you’ve only got one second to get it right. In a more volume-based sport you can get it right in the next rep, or you can catch up… here you don’t get it right, you don’t get it right.When we require that finite inter muscular control of the body, especially something that is using both legs and arms, 4 limbs working simultaneously through a middle section..22:57How easy is it for that to go wrong? And then do you want to repeat that?27:00Let’s be honest…You go to an Olympic lifting coach and then a movement coach who gives you some correctional work.You go into the gym and do 45 mins with the bar and then you do your movement work and you’re moving really well and really pleased with your bar work. Because you have had the heart rate up and involved oxygen today, you then go and do a work out – because you want to train - which is fair enough. Then you go and do, I don’t know Amanda or … whatever is that stupidity? Are you undoing all your work? Are you slowing your good work down?The take home point is the patience of doing the skill work and not allowing the aerobic side of it to come into it until you’re ready. The question then is, when am I ready? Am I never going to train again until I look like the best in the world? At what point do you go, that’s acceptable – lets go train again?29.06For the listeners at home, threshold work. Can you give us 2 or 3 examples?31:45I would always … the continuum for me would always be; Skill, Threshold, then Threshold then Skill and then looking at blending them.35:48In the competitive world, when do I accept that this is as good as its going to get right now?And now we need to work on threshold.36:12It’s quite hard as a coach to know you’re undoing some good work due to competition phase..37:05I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the easy exercises are the aerobic exercise but there’s a reason that running is running, biking is biking, and rowing is rowing and it’s so easy, it’s because we can’t have a high skill element there because as soon as the skill element goes up its too hard and that’s when you fail breathing.We need that simple nature of the skill, we all know what it feels like to do a barbell cycling work out and how high the heart rate goes, how quickly, which is why CrossFitters get so fit. They get that threshold carry-over from doing barbell cycling but the problem being that we soon see as soon as that threshold goes up, we see the skill break down.Which is when you get the CrossFit haters pop up and bash..Yes, it’s just a skill under pressure, you see it in all sports. A footballer makes a break down the field and runs past every player, but he’s run out of energy so by the time he gets to the keeper he scuffs the ball.41:45Which is why we stay with the simple movements to develop the threshold work.42:21Aerobic conditioning is easy, breath.We know lactate isn’t the enemy, what’s burning isn’t lactate, lactate is actually a fuel source. The crux of it ultimately is your skill must drive your aerobic conditioning. What the muscle is missing must be the determining factor in how your using aerobic conditioning in CrossFit.46:20That was really enjoyable, I hope the listeners have had as much fun.

This is the 20th class on the book of Hebrews. This Bible class was taught at the Pilot Point Church in Pilot Point Texas. The following is the outline of the class. Preservation of the Saints Hebrews chapter 10:19-12:29 Hebrews chapter 11 0ne point, have faith in God and be patience and He will give you all that He has promised. A persevering faith is always rewarded VS. 1-40 Hebrews 11 The first and second verses and the sixth verse, taken together, help define faith for us. Here we see the ingredients of faith: Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old received divine approval. (Hebrews 11:1-2 RSV) And without faith it is impossible to please God. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 RSV) Hebrews 11(NASB) 1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction ofthings not seen. 2For by it the men of old gained approval. THE HEART OF BIBLICAL FAITH CONVICTION Hebrews 11 By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he received approval as righteous, God bearing witness by accepting his gifts; he died, but through his faith he is still speaking. (Hebrews 11:4 RSV) Cain believe a lie. – That one way is as good as another Abel believed God and came the way God had outlined Hebrews 11 By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, took heed and constructed an ark for the saving of his household; by this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith. (Hebrews 11:7 RSV)             Three distinctive descriptions of Abraham Abraham was called God's friend. James 2:23(KJV) 23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 2. Abraham is the father of all who believes Romans 4:11-12  11And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also: 12And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised. 3. Abraham is a figure of true faith. Hebrews 11:8 -12, 17 through 19 Hebrews 11 8By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.  Genesis 12 (NIV)  12 The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. 2“ I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.[a] 3I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”[b] 4So Abram went, as the LORD had told him 8By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9By faith he made his home in the Promised Land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she[b] considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore. 13All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. 17By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was offering up his only begotten son; 18it was he to whom it was said, “IN ISAAC YOUR [n]DESCENDANTS SHALL BE CALLED.” 19 [o]He considered that God is able to raise people even from the dead, from which he also received him back [p]as a type 20By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even regarding things to come. 21By faith Jacob, as he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff. 22By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the exodus of the sons of Israel, and gave orders concerning his bones. 23By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s edict. 24By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, 26considering the reproach of [q]Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. 27By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen. 28By faith he [r]kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that he who destroyed the firstborn would not touch them. 29By faith they passed through the Red Sea as though they were passing through dry land; and the Egyptians, when they attempted it, were [s]drowned. 30By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days. 31By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish along with those who were disobedient, after she had welcomed the spies [t]in peace. 32And what more shall I say? For time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets, 33who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, 34quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. 35Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their [u]release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection; 36and others [v]experienced mockings and scourging’s, yes, also chains and imprisonment. 37They were stoned, they were sawn in two, [w]they were tempted, they were put to death with the sword; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated 38(men of whom the world was not worthy),wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes [x]in the ground. 39And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised, 40because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect. This is the 20th class on the book of Hebrews. This Bible class was taught at the Pilot Point Church in Pilot Point Texas. The following is the outline of the class. Do Not Throw Away Your Confidence, Which Has A Great Reward Preservation of the Saints Hebrews chapter 10:19-12:29 Hebrews 10 32Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. 33Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. 34You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions James 1 2Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 5But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and [h]without reproach, and it will be given to him. Hebrews 10 32Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. 33Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. 34You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions 35Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. Hebrews 10 37For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.”[38And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” 39But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved. Hebrews 11 0ne point, have faith in God and be patience and He will give you all that He has promised. A persevering faith is always rewarded VS. 1-40 Things that are called faith but are not. Faith, is not positive thinking 2. Faith is not a hunch that is followed. 3. Faith is not hoping for the best, hoping that everything will turn out all right. 4. Faith is not a feeling of optimism Hebrews 11 The first and second verses and the sixth verse, taken together, help define faith for us. Here we see the ingredients of faith: Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old received divine approval. (Hebrews 11:1-2 RSV) And without faith it is impossible to please God. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 RSV) Definition of faith in God Faith commences with "things hoped for," that is, it starts with a sense of discontent. 2. Then comes "the conviction of things not seen" aware that we are surrounded by an invisible spirit kingdom, that which is seen is not the whole explanation of life, 3. "He that comes to God must believe that he is, that God exists." There are some who say, "That's the hard part, that's what is difficult." No, it is not. 4. "The assurance of things hoped for." achieved by acting on the revelation of the things unseen. 5. By faith we understand that the world was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made out of things which do not appear. (Hebrews 11:3 RSV) The amazing deductions & implications and of Biblical faith By faith, we understand that the world was created by the word of God so that what is seen was made out of things which do not appear. (Hebrews 11:3 RSV)--- That statement was made in the first century. • Biblical faith puts us immediately in touch with reality. Faith is a way of piercing the illusion that tends to distract us and lead us into chasing rabbits of thought all over the pasture and bring us right to the point, to show us things as they really are. Do not laugh at faith. Faith is dealing with facts. Faith grounds one immediately on reality. Grounds one immediately in reality. What science can't tell us, faith can. How human history is going to end, but by faith, I know. 2. Science cannot tell me what is wrong with human life, what is the reason why I act the way I do, and you act the way you do but by faith I know. 3. Cannot tell me what lies beyond the door of death. Even to the scientists, it is an enigma, a mystery, but by faith, I know what lies beyond. Mystery, but by faith I know what lies beyond. 4. Cannot explain the mysteries of my own makeup, and tell me how to fulfill my manhood, how to realize my dreams, but faith can. Hebrews 11(NASB) 1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2For by it the men of old gained approval. THE HEART OF BIBLICAL FAITH CONVICTION Hebrews 11 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death; and he was not found because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was attested as having pleased God. (Hebrews 11:5 RSV) Genesis 5:21-24 (NIV) 21When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.22After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more because God took him away. Jude (NIV) 14Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones 15to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” Hebrews 11 By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he received approval as righteous, God bearing witness by accepting his gifts; he died, but through his faith, he is still speaking. (Hebrews 11:4 RSV) Cain believes a lie. – That one way is as good as another Abel believed God and came the way God had outlined Hebrews 11 By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, took heed and constructed an ark for the saving of his household; by this, he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith. 8By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. The 9by faith he made his home in the Promised Land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she[b] considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12And so from this one man, and he as good as dead came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore. 13All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. Subscribe to the podcast: {Apple Podcasts}{Stitcher}{Google Play}{IHeartRadio}{YouTube}

Marriages that Influence Future Generations - March 26, 2017 - Steve MillerStory: "Why the Old Man Planted Trees" by Dan MurdochOf all the things that we appreciate from those who have gone before us, and that we hope to give to those who come after us, what is the most important? Jesus expressed what really concerned Him:Luke 18:8 - However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? What is God's purpose for marriage? There are multiple good purposes for godly marriage, but perhaps the most important one in God's eyes is that through godly marriage we pass on the faith to future generations.In Genesis 1-2, God created man and woman to be one flesh. This union is imperative to God's purpose to fill the earth with godly offspring and rule it in righteousness, not only for biological reasons, but for spiritual ones as well.After Adam and Eve fell into sin, Genesis 4 and 5 show two genealogies: one for Cain's line and one for Seth's line. Between the two lists, it states that "At that time people began to call on the name of the Lord."According to Genesis 6, after the offspring who kept the knowledge of the Lord intermarried with the unbelievers, the whole human race became unbelieving, violent, and wicked to the point where God regretted making mankind and determined to destroy all but Noah's family.Genesis 6:1-8After the Great Flood, God chose Abraham's family to be His vehicle to preserve and spread the knowledge of Him and His ways to the future generations of the world.Genesis 18:18-19 - 18Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him. 19For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.” God has always been concerned about passing on faith and knowledge of Him to the next generation. This was His main concern with Israel, and much of the responsibility of this he put on families.Deuteronomy 6:4-9When the Lord brought His people into the Promised Land, He commanded and warned them to constantly teach their children His laws and His ways, to rid the land of idols, and to not intermarry with unbelievers.Deuteronomy 7:1-6What are you, whether single or married, doing to pass on the faith to future generations?After Israel had occupied much of the Promised Land, Joshua again challenged the people and reminded them to serve God and keep His covenant.Joshua 24:14-15 - "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” In our western culture, we Christians sometimes underestimate the command for parents to disciple our own children. They are meant to have a spiritual advantage, a head start.Mark 10:14-15If we do not teach our children to know and love the Lord from a young age, the world will surely step in and lead them the other way.Judges 2:6-13Chip Ingram, in Effective Parenting in a Defective World: Children will learn most by seeing what we do and how we live. Our marriages will teach and influence our children's faith even more than our words.Malachi 2:10-16 - 15Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth.We live in a society full of temptation and examples of selfishness. We are not immune to temptation. But as Christians, with the grace of the Lord Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit living in us, the thought that our response to temptation will influence the lives and eternal destiny of our children and grandchildren is a very sobering stop sign.Not only that, but our marriages present a picture of the relationship between Christ and His Church to our children. Husbands demonstrate who Christ is, and wives demonstrate how we respond to Him.Ephesians 5:21-27If we consider this message honestly, we will all find some point or another where we have failed. But there is good news. Godly marriage and parenting is another part of our lives that we must bring to the cross in repentance to seek forgiveness and grace from Jesus. It's not too late. If we humble ourselves before the Lord, and our spouses, and also before our children, He will lift us up and pour His grace upon us. Do not be afraid to repent to your family members; it's one of the most necessary and powerful things we can do.Finally, if you are a parent who is divorced or married to an unbelieving spouse, don't feel discouraged or condemned about your situation. For Paul writes that a believing parent brings a sanctifying influence over his/her children.1 Corinthians 7:12-14Just how great of an influence does God want to exert on future generations through your life, your marriage?

A major broadcast to the new age and deep luciferians. Do you have in you indestructible immortality? Do you know the power of eternity within, given by God that is the taste of what is to come? What do you have? An atomic flash, this is the technology of God and it is beyond all that has been spoken. 1 Corinthians 15 ON THE OTHER SIDE IN ETERNITY..... Revelation - 7Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. 8"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." ....4I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. ........11Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Russ-Dizdar Russ Dizdar http://www.shatterthedarkness.net/
