Twenty years ago, when Maryland beat Indiana for the National Championship, it was one of the happiest scenes in the history of college basketball. Maryland fans had been through a lot, including sanctions after the departure of Bob Wade, which meant no TV, no national presence. For decades, Maryland was considered the poor cousin to ACC heavyweights Duke and North Carolina, occasionally NC State or Wake Forest. Gary Williams played at Maryland, and shares a great story about facing Billy Cunningham and Carolina. Lesley got to cover Gary at all three of his major stops - at Boston College when BC won the Big East in 1983, at Ohio State in the Big Ten, and at Maryland, where he returned to Cole Field House and the ACC. He called Maryland's win over Duke at home in 2002, "the greatest victory ever at Cole Field House" - and this from a guy who saw, in person, one of the most important games in history, when Texas Western, with five black starters, beat Kentucky in College Park for the Championship in 1966. It's Gary's passion for all things Terrapin that's made him so popular, and why the 2002 team will be celebrated all year.

Who you are in Christ changes everything about how you live your life because it is no longer all about you, it’s all about Him. God wants us to bring honor and glory to Him through everything we do and say whether it is at work, our homes...
God gave us the greatest gift, His son Jesus, and through Him we receive the gift of grace. But once we receive it, what do we do with the gift? God calls us to be good stewards of the life He's given us and to walk humbly in obedience to His Word.
Why is baptism so important? It's the celebration and public declaration of our belief in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you've been given a new life in Christ, are you ready to go public with your faith and...
We might see the goal of work being a paycheck, but the Bible tells us that we work for the Lord, no matter what our occupation is. When you arrive at your job, are you working to bring glory to God?
Our news feeds, screens and social media are filled with voices of crisis and uncertainty. Through the noise, God’s Word is the calming voice that gives us hope and reminds us of our security in Jesus Christ.
Our culture wants to call into question who Jesus is and make him into something less than the truth. We're called to stand together in unity, lovingly sharing the good news of Jesus Christ as he truly is with the world around us.
Nothing is more important than who we believe Jesus is. He was fully man and fully God, sent to earth to save us from our sins. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He alone brought us back into right relationship with God, and He alone is...
God has called us all be part of the church family, to grow in faith, to serve, and to disciple those around us. We're His workers, and God has sent us into the world to share the good news of Jesus. Are you ready to take your next step?

When we have put our faith and trust in Jesus, we can't call on His name and then go about living our lives like the rest of the world. Jesus calls us to a life that looks different as we walk in obedience to God.
Bob Wade is a local bee keeper and he is today's guest. We get into how much a bee keeper suit is, where the most painful place to be stung is, if he's worried about murder hornets, and a shit ton of more interesting bee facts.
What we spend our time with is what we serve. Bob challenges us to spend intentional time with God reading His Word, talking to Him, and listening to Him. Your relationship with Him will grow deeper as you learn more and more about who God is.
Fasting is an opportunity to let the absence of food serve as a reminder to depend on God and seek His will for our lives through prayer.
Our motives for giving should be to honor God and point others to Christ, not to make ourselves look good and boast about what we did. Everything we have is a gift from God. What is your motivation for giving?
Jesus challenged the religious leaders and their understanding of the Law. In his fulfillment of the Law, Jesus wants to transform our hearts, not just our actions. It's not our ability to follow a set of rules, but rather His death and...

God tested Abraham's faith as He called him to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice to the Lord. Abraham trusted God and was obedient, knowing God would provide. God's provision of a lamb for Abraham was a picture of a few thousand years later...
We're constantly bombarded by voices: friends, family, teachers, social media and so many others. Listening to the voices of the world can lead us away from trusting in God's plan and what He is calling us to do. What voices are you...

Serving God is worth it, but it's not always easy. When we invest in others, we develop amazing relationships with people who will encourage our faith and stand by us. You are not alone!
Who and what we love says everything about the sincerity of our faith. We can either stand out for our devotion to Jesus or we'll stand out for our devotion to ourselves. It’s important to examine our lives to see who we actually love the most.
"Sharing the gospel isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. We can easily feel rejected or mocked and as a result, back away from sharing. Timothy, the pastor in Ephesus, may have felt that way too. Paul challenges him, and us as well...
"Lots of people say they believe. The question is, do they mean the same thing the Apostle John meant by believing? Belief to John leads to love for God, love for other people, and ultimately a desire to follow His commands. That means that love...
1 John 4:1-6 is John’s challenge to be discerning. It’s here that John calls on us to test every teaching with a simple test: do they believe Jesus came (from the father) in the flesh. John adds to it an encouragement; that “He who is in you, is...
The lifestyle we live says everything about our spiritual DNA. If I practice righteousness, my DNA reveals that I’m a child of God. If I practice unrighteousness, then my spiritual DNA reveals that I don’t know the Lord. Does the way you live your...

There’s more to setting up an insurance plan than getting property and theft protection for your store. For example, shops have to protect themselves from liability when renting ski or bike equipment. What insurance do you need when hosting an event? What about when you ask an employee to participate in an outdoor activity where he/she could get hurt? In this episode, we speak with Rob Martin, director of Outdoor Sports Insurance (a program from Horizon Agency, an OIA vendor partner). Rob will comment on the unique insurance needs of outdoor retailers and give advice on how they can best protect themselves. Joe Butler of Black Creek Outfitters and Bob Wade of Ute Mountaineer also chime in with their experiences.
