We're talking about one of our favorite shows, Heartstopper! Season three of the show covers a lot of ground, including some tough and complicated topics but still features the tenderness and queer joy we know and love. In this episode, we start with some of the more difficult topics, so you can skip ahead if that's not good for you today.  Between ~2:30-5:00 we discuss our feelings about the show in general, which includes mentions of Charlie's eating disorder. We discuss the ED plot line in more detail between ~5:00-14:30.  We discuss Elle's experience of transphobia between ~14:30-22:30.This episode is our last of this season! We'll be back with more episodes (and some fun updates) soon! In today's episode, we're diving deep into the heart of interracial friendships, asking the question: Can women from different ethnicities be best or bosom friends? I'm thrilled to have two incredible guests with me—Carla Hall, the acclaimed chef and TV personality, and Christina Brown, a renowned diversity advocate and influencer. Carla and Christina share their unique journeys of cultivating and nurturing friendships across racial lines. Carla opens up about her experience growing up in Nashville and how her early friendships shaped her worldview. Christina talks about her work in diversity and inclusion, and how her personal relationships have influenced her view on having friendships outside of race. We explore the joys and sometimes awkward moments of mixed friendships, the cultural exchanges, and the deep bonds that form despite societal challenges. Our conversation touches on the importance of open dialogue, empathy, and the willingness to understand and celebrate our differences. Humble Hymn Writer St. Ephraim the Syrian used his gifts to the best of his ability, writing hymns to defend the faith against heresies of the day, ministering to the poor, and speaking with simple humility. Today's guest podcaster, Sissel Anderson, teaches us how this saint exemplifies the humility of the Little Way.Sissel Anderson is a 25-year-old convert in North Texas. Just a year and a half after coming home to the Catholic Church, she dove headfirst into Catholic media by interning at the local Catholic Radio station during college, operated by the Guadalupe Radio Network. Six years later, she is now the North Texas Assistant at the network and produces and hosts local programs, including one for young people (or the young at heart!) for which she has a desire to reach out to more.A collector of hobbies and volunteer positions, she is never without something to do, whether it be helping lead her parish's young adult group to mastering the perfect Old Fashion. While she has ideas and dreams for the future, she enjoys taking each day at a time to see where God is calling her at that moment.CONNECT + FOLLOW Sissel at:GRNOnline.comInstagram: @sisselmarieflorianFacebook: facebook.com/grnonlineREAD more on today's podcast on our website:https://www.littlewithgreatlove.com/saint-ephraim-syrian/Today's podcast is sponsored by: Christina Brown, Certified Catholic Life Coach, speaker, and podcast co-host of the Thanks Mom podcast. Follow on all social media platforms + visit her website: www.christinambrown.com Schedule a FREE consultation call + use code “SLACKER15” for 15% off any booked coaching or speaking engagements!Follow Little With Great Love on Facebook & InstagramSUBSCRIBE: YouTube ChannelApple PodcastSpotify PodcastGoogle PodcastPodtailSpecial thanks to slacker co-host, Jeff Sanchez; and musician Rev.
