Steeds meer jonge mensen krijgen darmkanker. Ook in België stijgt het aantal diagnoses bij mensen jonger dan 40 jaar. Radio 1-presentator Korneel De Clercq weet hoe onverwacht zo'n diagnose kan komen. “Het leven heeft een scherper randje nu.” ­ “Ik ben blij dat er de laatste weken meer aandacht is voor jonge mensen met darmkanker. Bij mij heeft de diagnose even geduurd,” vertelt Radio 1-presentator Korneel De Clercq. In september kreeg de dertiger te horen dat hij darmkanker heeft. Anne de Clercq regisseert de tragikomische film 'Paaz'. De hoofdpersoon Emma is ervan overtuigd dat ze gelukkig is, totdat ze onverwachts op de psychiatrische afdeling van een ziekenhuis belandt. Anouk De Clercq maakt videowerken, vaak in zwart-wit, waarin de animatie of het gefilmde beeld even belangrijk is als het speciaal daarvoor gecomponeerde geluid. Anouk creëert zachte werelden, waar je als bezoeker wordt verwelkomd en tot rust kunt komen. In de animatiefilm Bird Song zijn twee vogels op een tak de enige levende wezens in een verder lege wereld. Ze passen het lied dat ze fluiten aan op de zon die achter hen op- of ondergaat.  In Helga Humming poseert de Amerikaanse kunstenaar, zangeres en actrice Helga Davis in de stijl van een klassiek Renaissance portet, als hedendaags antwoord op een traditie waarvoor in de voorbij eeuwen hoofdzakelijk witte, mannelijke machthebbers in aanmerking kwamen. Ze draagt een zwarte, geplooide jurk met daarboven een zwart harnas, en houdt in haar rechterhand een lichtgevende bol. Terwijl ze ons waardig en strijdbaar aankijkt, horen we een omarmende polyfone compositie van geneuriede klanken. En in het werk One staat Helga zwijgend voor een rij microfoons, terwijl de ruimte om haar heen gevuld lijkt te worden met meerdere stemmen die een hedendaags protestlied ten gehore brengen - een oproep tot het verlaten van beperkende tegenstellingen als zwart-wit, man-vrouw, of mens-dier.  Helga Humming en One zijn tot en met 13 juli 2025 te zien in de tentoonstelling What Cannot Be Held: hedendaagse stemmen uit de Belgische kunst in De Brakke Grond in Amsterdam.

In Dandaka Forest, they encounter sages who are masters of Jain doctrine. Then, the discovery of Sita's disappearance sets the stage for war with Ravana.
