Cardano has one of the strongest ecosystems in Web3, but why? Frederik, the CEO of Cardano Foundation will help to explain all... With a Market Cap of $14Bn (at time of recording) and seen by many as the largest competitor to Ethereum as a smart contract Blockchain, there's good reason to follow the growth of Cardano to-date. It has been a story of pragmatic, peer-reviewed and largely hype-free development since it was founded in 2015 and launched in 2017. But that's just the tech side. What about the 'ecosystem'?As CEO of Cardano Foundation, Frederik is responsible for a non-profit organisation whose mission is to advance operational resilience, education, and adoption of the Cardano Blockchain and the tools and dApps built around it. But how does that work in practice? We talk about:- The role of Foundations in Web3, and what do they do on a day-to-day basis- The challenges and imperatives for growing Web3 ecosystems- The verticals that will drive adoption of decentralised technology- The interaction between Blockchains, AI and the Metaverse in our future- Advice to anyone building with Web3 tech today

– Freddy will‘s wissen. Ganz einfach. A: Die Berliner Schnauze. B: Sein Hip-Hop Background. Danke Jeremy Fragrance. Danke Torch. Und natürlich auch Danke Paul und Frederick. I'm really, really excited to have Frederik Mijnhardt, the CEO and Co-founder of Secfi on Panic today. Frederik and Secfi (Social Leverage Fund III) are an incredible educational resource and service for founders and startup employees. I've talked about, tweeted about, and written about how important it is for those early startup employees to deal with liquidity and things like exercising their options in a tax-efficient way. Startup equity is complex. COVID had many startup employees learning the hard way – and more recently with the Series I at Stripe, noted for both its size, and its tender offer coming in at 50 percent lower than the previous round. As we continue to see more of these “down rounds” and lackluster IPO windows, Frederik and his team are helping employees make the most of their equity and make more informed decisions. I'll say it again – this is an important topic so please forward this to anyone you know that founded or works at a startup – whether it's a company that has just raised a seed round or a company on its way to an IPO. What an intriguing guest on the EdTech Speaks podcast! Tune in as I interview a thought leader and expert in the field of air quality and purification, Frederik Hendriksen. Before COVID you may not have given much thought to the topic, but since 2020 when the entire world was restricted to 6 feet separations and mandatory masks, air purification has become a need versus a want. Frederik joins us today to share how his company, Rensair, provides an air purification solution through technology, protecting and enhancing lives through clean air.Rensair's portable, hospital-grade air purifier is helping businesses and communities get back on their feet. Our patented technology, which combines H13 HEPA filtration with germicidal UVC light, was initially developed to meet the strict standards of Scandinavian hospitals. It traps and destroys more than 99.97% of airborne bacteria and viruses, including the Coronavirus family, helping to protect lives through clean air.Rensair's Company History: The core technology behind the Rensair air purifier was developed twenty years ago by Henrik Hendriksen, a Danish ventilation engineer, and Fredrick's father. When one of his sons developed severe allergies as a child, Henrik couldn't find a remedy. So he invented one. Leveraging his deep knowledge, he combined the most advanced hospital-grade air cleaning technologies in a compact, portable design.Subsequently, his innovative design was sought after by hospitals, institutions and care homes across Scandinavia.Henrik's legacy endures today. In 2020, his twin sons Christian and Frederik Hendriksen set up Rensair to evolve the original product design, continue its manufacture and distribute it worldwide. Watch the story here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZe21Nfdy_4&feature=youtu.beFrederik says, "Air purification is key to mitigating the risk of Covid infection. If companies are to encourage employees and customers to return to their premises, practical steps must be taken to prioritize health & safety. Just as people expect pure water from the tap or hygienic food from the supermarket, so too they expect clean air in buildings and shared spaces. It's not just an expectation, it's a human right."Learn more and connect with Frederik here:https://rensair.com/https://twitter.com/RensairPurifierhttps://www.linkedin.com/company/rensair/https://www.instagram.com/rensairpurifier/https://www.facebook.com/rensairairpurifier Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast.
Today's guest is Frederik Gregaard, the CEO of the Cardano Foundation. The Cardano Foundation acts as a custodian for the Cardano protocol; the Cardano Foundation is a Swiss nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering innovators and changemakers within the blockchain industry. The Cardano Foundation strives towards enabling a blockchain future based on inclusiveness and transparency. An independent entity, the Foundation's ambition is to empower the architects of the decentralized era, set the direction for governance as a service, and enable economic empowerment. Frederik's critical priorities as CEO are to drive the Cardano Foundation's adoption strategy through integration and execution of its missions to enable fast-track value creation for inclusive and equitable growth using Cardano. He brings his vast experience in professional services and financial industries to the Foundation, where he will build partnerships with institutions and enterprises. Frederik has more than a decade of experience in Banking, Wealth Management & Asset Management. He is a certified currency trader and digital asset management expert. He advises Regulators, Banks, and Asset Managers on how digital business models will impact their sector and how technology such as Blockchain, DLT, Big Data, and AI will affect their businesses in the short and medium term. We discuss Cardano, the Cardano Foundation, power dynamics, crypto adoption, and much more. We begin our conversation by discussing Frederik's financial background. We have a fascinating discussion centered around the opaqueness of capital markets leading up to the financial crisis of 2008 and the fallout from the collapse. We pivot our conversation to focus on how the fallout from the financial crisis eventually led him to the crypto industry. Frederik shares his journey in the crypto industry and how he became the CEO of the Cardano Foundation. Frederik discusses a fascinating insight that the biggest roadblock to crypto adoption was the cultural barrier between crypto and traditional finance. Our conversation transitions to focus on why traditional institutions are pivoting their blockchain efforts from focusing on private permissioned blockchains to public permissionless blockchains. Frederik shares examples of this growing adoption of public blockchains. Frederik explains how Georgian Wine exploded in popularity when they began using the Cardano blockchain as an authentication layer. Frederik discusses how this technology shifts the power dynamics between large and small players creating an equal playing field between the two parties. Frederik emphasizes that one of the main goals of the Cardano Foundation is to lower the barrier of entry to the Cardano Ecosystem. We discuss the various real-world projects Cardano is involved in to implement blockchain technology across multiple countries. Frederik explains Cardano's consensus algorithm and the game theory behind it. We discuss how Cardano's academic approach is one of the main guiding principles of the project. Frederik explains the difference between blockchains and open-source projects. Please enjoy my conversation with Frederik Gregaard.

Do analysts make things more complicated than they need to be, or is the data representing a complex world, so that is just the nature of the beast? Or is it both? Stakeholders yearn for simple answers to simple questions, but the road to delivering meaningful results seems paved with potholes of statistical complexity, data nuances, and messy tooling. What is a business to do? Frederik Werner from DHL joined Michael and Tim for a discussion that definitively determined that, well, the topic is…complicated! We are back for another great interview on our podcast on how to unlock your world of creativity. Our guests today join us on our around-the-world journey where we talk to creative practitioners about how they get inspired and how they organize ideas. And most of all, how they gain the confidence and the connections to launch their work out into the world. Today we have the pleasure to travel to one of my favorite cities in the world, Stockholm, Sweden, to have a chat with Fredrik and https://www.linkedin.com/in/erik-kockum-710b9829/ (Erik) of the https://snask.com (SNASK) agency SNASK is an internationally renowned creative agency that makes kick-ass branding, design & film. So much so that some of their clients have described them as “Disneyland for graphic designers.” They are a different kind of company they also describe themselves as a creative agency of misfit geniuses conquering the world through fine-looking design and real emotions. Often reminding their clients that they are their client's future romance. A few tips that they share with us that all hold steady to their stellar performance in their industry are: Passion as a creative is very important. Build a team around you that is equally passionate about what they do. It makes it easier for them to show up. They remind us that when people have a creative passion they do not come to work at 10:00 A.M. They get up early and go after it. We should not be afraid to stand out in the world no matter what our craft is. And it is ok to be bold and colorful even as a brand agency in a Minimalistic place like Stockholm Remember to have a balance of both work and fun in order to thrive. In a professional world built on conservative ideas and frameworks and structures, one look at their website and you will immediately notice that their work is very emotional. It's very provocative. It's very colorful and energetic. Which has made them stand out as an agency over the years which in fact gave them the creative consistency they needed to stand out in the industry. In conclusion, they also give us some insight into, pitching the work and how to convince the client which campaign to go with. Both Erik and https://my.captivate.fm/linkedin.com/in/snask (Fredrik) agree that it's all about taking the client by the hand and leading them through the process. Like you lead someone to the dance floor. You can't just throw a new design in their face without an explanation. You need to take them on a journey on the thought behind the strategy, and how it connects with the brand. And then make sure that this makes a lot of sense to them as much as it does make sense to you as the pitcher. You can find more information about this agency of misfit geniuses on their website https://snask.com (https://snask.com) Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/snasksthlm/ (snasksthlm) Frederik Öst's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/freddiemeup/ (freddiemeup) Erik Kockum's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fessus/ (fessus) Meet partners in crime - Fredrik Öst and Erik Kockum, Branding Experts with vulnerability and anti-machismo. First off, let me tell you a little about who Fredrik Öst & Erik Kockum are… "Freddie" was adopted from South Korea and raised in Northern Sweden after being found outside a police station. Erik is a confused and misunderstood misfit genius who believes that the feeling of freedom and allowance of making mistakes is the key to creativity. Fedrick and Erik have co-founded a kick-ass creative agency, combining their expertise in branding, design & film. This of course after being told they needed 10 years of experience in the industry before starting their own agency. They ditched the norms and started uphttps://snask.com/ ( Snask) with zero years of experience 14 years ago! https://snask.com/ (Snask) is a rare combination of real emotions and playfulness. Of fine lookin' design and...
