Men efter en spelning i Boston 2006 fördes sångerskan Victoria Bergsman till sjukhus med hjärtstillestånd. Det fick henne att lämna gruppen och starta soloprojektet Taken By Trees. Peter Bjorn and John are a Swedish indie pop/rock band, formed in Stockholm in 1999 and named after the first names of the band's members: Peter Morén (vocals, guitar and harmonica), Björn Yttling (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals) and John Eriksson, known in his solo work as Hortlax Cobra (drums, percussion and vocals). Yttling also worked as producer for the band's first four albums.They are best known for the 2006 single "Young Folks", which featured Victoria Bergsman, formerly of The Concretes, and was a top 20 hit in the UK Singles Chart, as well as being featured in football video game FIFA 08, MLB 2k13, the singing game Lips, as the school project in the film Bandslam, as part of the soundtrack of hit sitcom  How I Met Your Mother, as the opening track in the pilot episode of Gossip Girl and the theme tune to British Television adverts for Homebase store and Air New Zealand "Safety Safari" surfing video. It was also named NME's second-best track of 2006, beaten by "Over and Over" by Hot Chip.In Australia it was voted number 16 in the annual Triple J Hottest 100 for 2006. In recent years, Lars Skoglund of the band Laakso has filled in for Eriksson on drums and played bongos during some live shows since the latter developed tinnitus, and a shoulder injury on the tour for 2011's Gimme Some.https://www.peterbjornandjohn.com

As a young man, he explored several options - from being a fighter pilot to moving to the beautiful beaches of Southern California, he made the decision to go to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and studied Financial Management. Upon graduation, he went to work for Bay Area Concretes, the company his father founded in the 1960s and started in marketing, then estimating and sales, then into the CFO position, then Vice President, and now President. Back during the 1990s, the company was around $2 million in revenue and today, they're at $20 million! You'll quickly learn, listening to Mike's story, how this trendsetting company in the concrete contracting space has become so accustomed to growth. Sidenote: Mike Price is a legit SAG Actor. Stevie Nicks (1948-) är inte bara en av de första stora rockstjärnorna, hennes stil är dessutom en av de mest konsekvent genomförda och kopierade inom både musik och mode. I mer än fyrtio år har hon klätt sig i långa sjalar, höga hattar, skira spetsklänningar och pösiga mockastövlar med platåsula, utan att ge efter för tidens trender. I veckans STIL tar vi en närmare titt på både henne och bandet i vilket hon slog igenom, Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks bohemiska stil har inslag från både 1970-talets hippierörelse (långa halsband och fladdrande kjolar) och det sena 1800-talets viktorianska era (spetsar och kläder som döljer mer än de visar). Den har gett bränsle till en hel del modeskapare, allt från Ralph Lauren till Frida Gianni på Gucci. Många menar att hennes mjuka, men tydliga look, också är en perfekt spegling av den lika skira som starka musik hon skriver och sjunger. Inte minst i bandet Fleetwood Mac, som än en gång har gett sig ut på turné. Utan att bandmedlemmarna vill slita varandra i stycken. De kallas inte för inte ”rockens största såpopera”. När de 1977 spelade in plattan Rumours hade alla i bandet äktenskapskriser, olika amorösa affärer inom och utom bandet och försörjde en mindre – kanske till och med en större – colombiansk stad med sitt enorma intag av kokain, möjliggjord av de stora summor pengar som plötsligt fyllde deras konton. Men det gav dem också material att skriva slitstarka låtar om. Plattan blev, milt uttryckt, en stor framgång. Det är en av världens mest sålda skivor i sällskap med Michael Jacksons Thriller och AC/DC:s Back in Black och fortsätter än idag att fånga nya lyssnare. Mer om de berättar vi i veckans program. Vi har dessutom ringt upp och talat med den kvinna som ligger bakom Stevie Nicks scengarderob – designern och stylisten Margi Kent som mycket väl minns den första gången hon såg Stevie Nicks uppträda i plagg hon designat åt henne. Vi har även träffat musikern Maria Eriksson (som bland annat varit med om att grunda bandet The Concretes). Hon berättar om hur hon tänkte då hon gav sig in i musikbranschen. Och så har vi mött den italienske modefotografen Paolo Roversi som, i likhet med Stevie Nicks, går igång på romantik och mysticism. Veckans gäst är Soraya Hashim, frilansande kulturjournalist.
