W co ostatnio graliśmy? Przede wszystkim Horizon Forbidden West i Gran Turismo 7. Jest też podsumowanie przygody z Sifu, i dosłownie dwa słowa o Dying Light 2. Wraca też kącik planszówkowy. It's an Arkham Horror love-fest when Conor and Adrian join the show! The team hits the ground running with some important breaking news before launching into their Sizzling Games for the week. Conor and his partner have been working through Machi Koro Legacy, Adrian explores the card drafting mage-maker that it Res Arcana, and Steve falls in love all over again with Terraforming Mars. Many of our listeners in Australia and overseas are still in isolation so the team discusses the pros and cons of playing boardgames online - specifically TableTop Simulator. How does it compare to Tabletop Arena, Tabletopia, or even dedicated gaming apps? With more virtual gaming conventions on the horizon, and even our regular online gaming on the BoardGame BBQ Discord, we discuss the easiest ways to overcome the entry barriers and get amongst the online gaming action. The Board Game Bracket is going off! We resolve the match-up of Sheriff of Nottingham vs Great Western Trail, before Conor and Adrian go toe-to-toe in two separate battles: Spyfall vs It's A Wonderful World, and Arkham Horror (3rd Edition) vs Mysterium. And finally Adrian and Conor get to join forces to pump up Arkham Horror: The LCG, while poor Inis goes unsupported. Or does it? In our Kickstarter segment Conor has backed Dead Reckoning and is eyeing off The Shivers and Perseverance. Meanhile, Adrian has backed the dice-drafting game Daimyo: Rebirth of the Empire. We never thought it would happen, but Steve finally has a clean slate by fulfilling his oaths on Ecos: First Continent and Forgotten Waters. In fact, it's clean slates all 'round because Adrian brought Deep Madness back to the table (but found that his gaming tastes have changed since buying it), and Conor fulfilled his oath by playing SteamRollers (even if it was a few hours before he started recording). The team then swear fresh oaths by committing to Chronicles of Crime (Adrian), Euphoria: Build A Better Dystopia (Conor), and in a dramatic podcast-definig twist - Arkham Horror: LCG (Steve). Tonight Steve, Mike and Adrian catch up at the BBQ and bring some Sizzling Games along with them. Mike had a blast playing the deck-builder Clank! and is already hankering for the expansions. Steve finally brings the feathered fun of Wingspan to the podcast, and life's a rollercoaster for Adrian with Unfair. In this week's Topic of the Week the team shares the favourite games of their partners and the stories behind them. The guys quizzed their partners about their favourite games and which games they enjoyed playing with each other, and there were some surprising answers for the team. What games do you enjoy playing with your partner? Drop us an email or jump on the discord to let us know. The Board Game Bracket served up a big surprise this week (even Mike was surprised), and we still have a few days left for Brass: Birmingham vs Incan Gold. Meanwhile, in Maximum Apocalypse vs Dice Throne, Adrian and Steve go head to head. Adrian explains why the cooperative roguelike adventure of Maximum Apocalypse should de-throne Steve, and Steve returns serve with the accessibility and balance of Battle Yahtzee... errr..sorry, I mean Dice Throne. Lastly, in the spirit of our Topic of The Week, all three guys being forced to honour new oaths chosen by their significant others. After carefully making his way Through The Ages, Mike's partner wants him to be the King Of Toyko next. Fresh from Exploding Kittens, Adrian agress to take the plunge into Deep Madness. And after rolling out every excuse in the book, Steve settles for the cooperative clues of Codenames Duet. If you are making your own oaths to play games from your "Shelf of Shame", make sure you share your success with the hashtag #oathfulfilled on Instagram! Warning: This podcast contains strong language and adult content Andy is busy moving house, or playing Deep Madness in any empty flat, so it's just Jon and Steve on this episode and subsequently proceedings are much more relaxed. Warning: This podcast contains strong language and adult content Any other podcast would make a big song and dance about releasing their 50th episode. Not the boys from the PHC, because they weren't paying attention and didn't realise they had reached such a prestigious milestone. Instead they talk about four games that may well make their best of the year lists; Steve gets his arse handed to him by Arkham Horror 3rd Edition, Andy goes into a Deep Madness and Jon tackles Monolith Arena. Andy and Steve then quickly say how much they love Brass (Brarse), while Jon tackles the news and Steve's delves deep into his sack, mail sack that is.

Just in time to miss Halloween, the boys return for the Polyhedron Collider Cast Episode 13. We recount our time at AireCon 2016 where we played a whole host of games and took part in our first media panel. Steve and Jon attempt a séance in Mysterium, Andy becomes blind but unfortunately can still speak as all three take part in the social deduction party game Two Rooms and a Boom, a conversation about one of favourite game Neuroshima Hex leads to a chat about The Edge Dawnfall, Deep Madness and Siege of Citadel Kickstarters, we revisit dreams in Dixit, build up relations with our neighbours in Between Two Cities and attempt to troll Luke Hector from the Broken Meeple in Android Mainframe. We also dip into the mailbag for some questions about board game expansions, the Asmodee super entity and who we'd like to get onto the show. 00.00.00 Intro 00.01.03 AireCon - media panel 00.04.25 Mysterium 00.08.06 Two Rooms and a Boom 00.15.56 Neuroshima Hex, The Edge: Dawnfall (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/awakenrealms/the-edge-dawnfall?ref=PolyhedronCollider), Deep Madness (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/diemensiongames/deep-madness?ref=PolyhedronCollider) and Siege of the Citadel 00.25.35 Dixit 00.27.55 Between Two Cities 00.31.37 Android: Mainframe 00.38.43 Questions from the Mailbag The podcast is also available on iTunes or your favourite podcast player via our feed http://polyhedroncollider.libsyn.com/rss Intro and Outro Music: "Ouroboros" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ Don't forget to visit www.polyhedroncollider.com for more great reviews and interviews, or connect with us on Facebook and Twitter
In this week's episode, Zach immediately zones out as Jeff and Adrian discuss Civ 6 and snowboarding, two things he couldn't care less about. He is awakened when the off topic discussion shifts to Red Dead Redemption following the release of the new trailer. Eventually the 3 hosts manage to end up discussing boardgames as they recap the last week of gaming before launching headlong into news and kickstarter discussions. Building on the already solid foundation laid up until this point, the three of them take to reviewing the city building game Quadropolis before working their way into a discussion of pacing in boardgames. The show wraps up as Zach and Adrian recount meeting a fan and then Jeff's true identity is revealed in an email.
