In episode 24, we review Lisboa by Eagle-Gryphon Games. To start off the episode, we chat about the games that are bringing us joy: Hansa Teutonica, Let's Go! To Japan, Compile: Main 1, and…learning the rules. On November 1, 1755, Lisboa suffered an earthquake of an estimated magnitude of 8.5–9.0, followed by a tsunami and three days of fires that almost completely destroyed the city. Players take on the role of influential nobles who will help in the reconstruction and economic development of the city to receive graces from the King and the Marquis. You will work with the architects to build Lisboa anew, with the Marquis to develop commerce, and with the King to open buildings–all in the pursuit of gaining influence and the most important thing of all: wigs.Connect with us @ https://lnk.bio/BoardGameHomies

This past month kicked off the 20th Annual Geek Madness Tournament, and we're here to give our picks and thoughts on the results so far. We review recent plays of Ruination and Hansa Teutonica, as well as news of a Lord of the Rings version of MtG. For board gamers who are itching to take their gaming experience to the next level, there is a plethora of options to upgrade and customize your board games with, but the question is, "What are the best to have?" On today's episode we look to answer that very question, and determine which board game upgrades and accessories are the best. We review some recent plays of Hansa Teutonica, Dice Throne, and Pax Viking. We also continue our series The Chopping Block, with what games are the next to go from our collections.
This week Casie and Chris crack open their ancient and forbidden tome to conjure a mystical review of Res Arcana. Along the way we summon a discussion about The Quest for Eldorado, Freakonomics, Mansions of Madness Second Edition, Wet Hot American Summer, and Hansa Teutonica. The review of Res Arcana begins at 32:20.

In this episode of The Long View, I'm pleased to be joined by co-host T.C. Reid and returning contributor Joe Sallen as we discuss a modern classic, Hansa Teutonica. What makes this game special? Is the theme a help or a hindrance? What do the expansions add to the base game? Tune in to hear our opinions about these questions and more in this episode.
