This week we bring you 12 different sports, and our guest-Graham Ledger- chats about how he got involved in cricket through the ECB's All Stars coaching programme, as well as the commitment of the on and off-field teams at his local club, Ashford. Andy has bragging rights this week as Newcastle avenged their League Cup Final defeat by Manchester United with a 2-0 league win over Tony's Red Devils at St James' Park. This puts the Toon back in the top four. Meanwhile with Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter getting axed this week, Tony looks over the 12 Premier League management casualties so far this season. The US Master Golf kicks off this weekend, so we have a preview – including the retirement of former winner Sandy Lyle and the stunning scenery of the famous Augusta course. In Rugby Union we discuss England's dominant display over Italy in the Women's 6 Nations and France's big win over Ireland – that keeps the two teams on course for a Grand Slam finale at Twickenham at the end of April. And in Rugby League it was the 4th round of the Challenge Cup, where the teams outside the Super League are competing for the final 4 places with the top teams in the 6th Round. We also have a slew of records in Athletics and Cricket, and in Horse Racing Doddie's Impact – named after Scotland rugby player and Motor Neurone Disease campaigner Doddie Weir – won in the first weekend of the flat season, with his owners making a significant donation from the prize money to the MND charity that Doddie set up. Yet another cracking episode from the team!
Eric and Ryan back at it again with neighbor-talk, new Al stories, and medical updates!
Episode 89 is another cracker as we cast our eagle eyes over 9 different sports! We start with a review of the NFL Superbowl, with Patrick Mahomes showing why he was this season's Most Valuable Player (MVP) as he led the Kansas City Chiefs to a final win over the Philadelphia Eagles. We then tackle rugby union and discuss home wins for Ireland, Scotland and England-with the Murrayfield game marking the culmination of the Doddie Aid 555 charity cycle ride as they delivered the match ball, and Scotland's captain being given the Doddie Weir Cup by Doddie's wife. IN skateboarding we celebrate a first World Championship Gold for Britain's Sky Brown, with the 14 year old adding the gold in Sharjah to the Olympic bronze she won in Tokyo. We also have updates from Athletics, the Premier League and Women's Super League, Golf, the Women's T20 Cricket World Cup and the start of a new Rugby League Super League season (with Andy applying the kiss of death with his predictions!). A great chat and please listen in and also get involved in Doddie Aid yourself if not signed up already! Once that's done join our league for a chance at some great prizes including a signed jersey from the 1872 cup winning Glasgow Warriors squad!

This week along with a few mates, Scott, Derek and Andrew, all of whom are fellow commentators at the Royal Highland Show, we roll out the Christmas drink and have a laugh, as well as some serious chat. We start by mentioning a few great folks that the industry has lost over the past year. When we get to big Doddie it opens up a discussion about the fact that many great rugby players were and are farmers. A random chat about using crossbred rams leaves us divided although the concept Scott raises of producing a Wagyu type lamb does have its merits. We then dissect some farm diversification schemes until that chat morphs into other hilarity, and much editing! .
The lads return for a chat to preview the upcoming Doddie Aid 2023 challenge with Team Glasgow Captain, Ryan Wilson. Obviously the 2023 event is going to be undertaken with an element of sadness due to the recent passing of Doddie, but we hope that honouring his legacy will spur people on to make this the biggest one yet.

In this week's special episode hosts Caroline Blair and Chris Paterson are joined by Jill Douglas and Jim Telfer to share their memories of the late Doddie Weir. They remember Doddie's colourful and positive character both on and off the pitch whether it be for his athletic and eye-catching performances in the Dark Blue of Scotland or for the inspirational response to his MND diagnosis.

Hask defends his old boss in Eddie Jones and says he is still the right man to take the team to the World Cup. Vice-captain Ellis Genge joins the boys and gives his verdict on England's results, has his say on the rumours of player unrest in the camp and talks about his move back home to Bristol. Payno and Hask are also joined by former Scotland winger Kenny Logan who pays tribute to his former teammate and great friend and a true rugby legend, the indomitable Doddie Weir, who sadly left us over the weekend after a courageous battle against MND. They talk about Doddie the player - the “mad giraffe”, Doddie the prankster who tormented Jim Telfer and Doddie the amazing campaigner who did so much good work for charity. If you want to donate to Doddie's MND foundation head over to: https://www.myname5doddie.co.uk/

Stuart Thom has been very good to me. He gave me opportunities to host online quiz nights to raise funds & awareness for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, these gave me the confidence to host Doddie Live shows and eventually, this podcast series. He has been relentless in his fundraising for Doddie, his mate from his Melrose, having smashed the £200k barrier with his latest nonsense! He recruited former Scotland International and team mate of Doddie, Budge Poutney for his 5 marathons in 5 days in Northern Ireland. He's got more crazy ideas in the pipeline too.I had the joy of speaking to the 2 of them.I loved it. The last in the series of Doddie Aid specials as the 2022 challenge comes to an end on the 12th Feb! What a way to wrap it up by having the driving force behind Doddie Aid and one of Doddie's best pals, not to mention for British & Irish Lion and Scotland Captain...Mr Rob Wainwright! This one was an absolute hoot as we talk Doddie Aid, the Calcutta Cup victory and preview the Doddie Cup 500 cycle from Murrayfield to Cardiff Castle.
