This week we bring you 12 different sports, and our guest-Graham Ledger- chats about how he got involved in cricket through the ECB's All Stars coaching programme, as well as the commitment of the on and off-field teams at his local club, Ashford. Andy has bragging rights this week as Newcastle avenged their League Cup Final defeat by Manchester United with a 2-0 league win over Tony's Red Devils at St James' Park. This puts the Toon back in the top four. Meanwhile with Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter getting axed this week, Tony looks over the 12 Premier League management casualties so far this season. The US Master Golf kicks off this weekend, so we have a preview – including the retirement of former winner Sandy Lyle and the stunning scenery of the famous Augusta course. In Rugby Union we discuss England's dominant display over Italy in the Women's 6 Nations and France's big win over Ireland – that keeps the two teams on course for a Grand Slam finale at Twickenham at the end of April. And in Rugby League it was the 4th round of the Challenge Cup, where the teams outside the Super League are competing for the final 4 places with the top teams in the 6th Round. We also have a slew of records in Athletics and Cricket, and in Horse Racing Doddie's Impact – named after Scotland rugby player and Motor Neurone Disease campaigner Doddie Weir – won in the first weekend of the flat season, with his owners making a significant donation from the prize money to the MND charity that Doddie set up. Yet another cracking episode from the team!

This week along with a few mates, Scott, Derek and Andrew, all of whom are fellow commentators at the Royal Highland Show, we roll out the Christmas drink and have a laugh, as well as some serious chat. We start by mentioning a few great folks that the industry has lost over the past year. When we get to big Doddie it opens up a discussion about the fact that many great rugby players were and are farmers. A random chat about using crossbred rams leaves us divided although the concept Scott raises of producing a Wagyu type lamb does have its merits. We then dissect some farm diversification schemes until that chat morphs into other hilarity, and much editing! .

The last in the series of Doddie Aid specials as the 2022 challenge comes to an end on the 12th Feb! What a way to wrap it up by having the driving force behind Doddie Aid and one of Doddie's best pals, not to mention for British & Irish Lion and Scotland Captain...Mr Rob Wainwright! This one was an absolute hoot as we talk Doddie Aid, the Calcutta Cup victory and preview the Doddie Cup 500 cycle from Murrayfield to Cardiff Castle. The topics in between are quite the magical and hilarious meander rather than straight from A to B. Mini certainly had his eyes opened on some nuances of cycling etiquette...Be sure to share it far and wide to promote the cause of Doddie Aid, and as always we welcome your likes, shares, retweets, reviews etc. Seriously, if you don't enjoy this one it comes with money back guarantee ;)

This week on The Michael Anthony Show, the inspirational Doddie Weir shares his story that has seen the former British and Irish Lion fight the incurable Motor Neurons Disease for the past four years. Retiring from international rugby with sixty one caps in 2000, the six foot six Weir was enjoying his new life both professionally and as a father, until a series of twitches and continuous muscle wasting sent the Scotsman to his doctor.Informed that his days of walking would be over within a year, before his speech and entire body would eventually give in to the unforgiving disease, the legendary second row was not expected to see 2020. But Weir knows only how to fight, and as he continues to not only walk and talk, the foundation that began under his name in 2017 continues to strive, raising just short of five million pounds with the goal of finding out more about this mysterious condition. In this Episode, Weir opens up about the day to day struggles of living with an illness that does not leave survivors, and as life becomes more and more challenging for him physically, mentally the former Newcastle Falcon is as strong as ever. Hope is something that Doddie will not lose, and self-victimisation has never been an option. Although the underdog, this "mad giraffe" will never stop competing.Listen to Episode 91 now available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and more.MA Show.Support the show (https://open.spotify.com/show/0sP68DtD7qCl4Rs2wGKJD4)
