Joe Bond breaks down today's major news, runs through the Drops of the Week, and locks in the FanDuel Bet of the Day. Adley Rutschman deals with hamstring tightness, Oneil Cruz gets scratched, and Will Smith faces a possible IL stint. On the positive side, Tarik Skubal, Cole Ragans, Casey Mize, and Brandon Woodruff are all making visible progress toward returning. Dillon Dingler, Jac Caglianone, Matt Olson, Bryce Eldridge, and Nick Kurtz lead a deep list of top daily performers. Conversely, Dalton Rushing, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Adolis Garcia, and Freddy Peralta struggled heavily in yesterday's action. We evaluate the rotating segment to decide if it is time to cut ties with Maikel Garcia, Jose Altuve, Emmet Sheehan, or Aaron Nola. The Dodgers moved Tyler Glasnow to the 60-day injured list over the weekend, pushing back his timeline for returning from back spasms until July 6 at the absolute earliest. Glasnow has been shut down from throwing. With Glasnow and Blake Snell out, we compare the Dodgers rotation this year to 2025, when those two were injured midseason but returned by August, giving the team a big four starters they rode to a championship in October and November. For now, the Dodgers have to first get through the next six weeks until the All-Star break, but with strong performances by Roki Sasaki, Justin Wrobleski, and Emmet Sheehan, the pitching depth is in a much better place in 2026. Plus more on Nick Frasso, now back on the 40-man roster, what's next for River Ryan, and more. The Three-Inning Save is part of Bleav Network. Munaf Manji and Dave Essler talk betting for Monday. It is June 1, 2026, and Munaf Manji and Uncle Diamond Dave Essler are back at the start of a new month with the full MLB Monday slate on the table and a perfect 2-0 best bet record from Thursday to carry into the week. The guys open with a quick but meaningful conversation about handicapping discipline, with Munaf explaining why he took Sunday off from posting plays rather than force something that was not there, and Dave backing the decision by making the case that this kind of restraint is exactly what winning long-term looks like and what clients are actually paying for when they subscribe. From there the full card gets the full treatment. Detroit heads to Tampa Bay with Ty Madden activated off the injured list to start or handle a bulk role against Griffin Jax, who has reinvented himself as a legitimate starter for the Rays with a 1.42 ERA in his recent stretch, and both hosts weigh a fade of the IL return against the case for the Tigers plus one and a half on the run line in a game the total projects for around eight. The Marlins take Sandy Alcántara to Washington, where Cade Cavalli gets the ball for the Nationals and both bullpens are identified as over-pushing threats in a park that has hit the over at nearly 68 percent in home games this season, leading Dave to his best bet of the episode, the Marlins team total over three and a half. In Milwaukee, Landen Roupp faces an opener-led Brewers lineup with Shane Drohan starting and Chad Patrick handling the bulk of the workload, and both hosts land on the under and the Giants run line in a low-total game where paying a big price on a three-inning pitcher does not make sense. David Sandlin faces the same Minnesota Twins club he dominated in his MLB debut five days earlier, retiring 18 straight after a leadoff homer, while Joe Ryan brings a solid recent stretch but a 4.42 home ERA into a spot where the White Sox first-five plus a half run gets the call. Jacob deGrom and Michael McGreevy headline the pitcher's duel of the night in St. Louis, where deGrom's 8.44 career ERA at Busch Stadium and McGreevy's 1.93 home ERA combine with both teams' shaky bullpens to make Munaf's official best bet an easy call: first-five-innings under four at minus-115, take the two starters and get out before the relief corps get involved. Kyle Freeland's ugly season numbers run into Freeland's strong career record against the Angels, while the market has already knocked the price down nearly 20 cents from its opening on José Soriano, with Munaf leaning Rockies plus one and a half and Dave going Angels team total over rather than lay the big number. Chase Burns has been one of the best pitchers in baseball in 2026, and his Cy Young-caliber season continues against Kansas City, where Luinder Avila is being asked to handle a starting role out of the bullpen and the sharp money that moved the price nearly 20 cents makes the Royals plus one and a half a reasonable market-following play. Eduardo Rodríguez is 5-1 with a 2.31 ERA but owns a troubling split against the Dodgers specifically at home in Arizona, where Emmet Sheehan brings the better underlying metrics despite a higher ERA, and both hosts elect patience, watching the early innings for a live entry rather than committing pre-game. The night closes in Seattle with Emerson Hancock against an Austin Warren opener for the Mets, where uncertainty about the Mets bullpen depth earns the game Munaf's official pass of the day and Dave identifies the first-five under as the cleanest available angle. Dave closes with a market call: home favorites went 11-1 on Sunday, and that kind of lopsided result historically corrects itself, making Monday a dog-day card where the plus-money side of the ledger deserves attention. New subscribers can get to pregame.com and use promo code NERD50 to take $50 off the all-access package, bringing the price to $199 through the MLB All-Star break and covering every pick Dave Essler, Munaf Manji, and the full Pregame Pros roster put out in every sport. The Dodgers continue to roll, winning another series and getting dominant performances from a pitching staff that may be turning into the biggest strength of the team. Drea and Anthony break down the Rockies sweep, including strong starts from Emmet Sheehan, Eric Lauer and Shohei Ohtani, plus signs that Mookie Betts is beginning to look like himself again. The conversation then shifts to a huge series against the Phillies, highlighted by Justin Wrobleski's dominant outing against Zack Wheeler, Ryan Ward's first MLB home run, another encouraging start from Roki Sasaki, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto's 10-strikeout performance. They also discuss: Shohei Ohtani's frustration despite another dominant outing Mookie Betts' recent surge at the plate Emmet Sheehan's continued development Eric Lauer's impressive Dodgers debut Ryan Ward's emotional first MLB homer The bullpen collapse against Philadelphia Roki Sasaki's growing confidence Yoshinobu Yamamoto's ace-level performance Whether the Dodgers rotation is reaching another level Plus, a look ahead to the upcoming Diamondbacks series and what this recent stretch says about the Dodgers heading into the next phase of the season. ️ Hosted by Drea and Anthony on the Bleed Los Podcast. Tyler Glasnow is pitching like an absolute ace, but his history of back issues and a current workload of 140 projected innings make him the ultimate sell-high candidate. Joe and Corey debate whether to flip him now for a slow-starting superstar before the inevitable injury risk catches up to his elite surface stats. The waiver wire is filled with multi-positional assets this week, including Casey Schmidt, Brooks Lee, and Andrew Vaughn. The guys also look at Brice Matthews, Bryson Stott, and pitchers Payton Tolle and Max Meyer, though they question if these arms are being overlooked in too many leagues. Agustin Ramirez is officially this week's rage drop after being sent down to Triple-A to work on his defense. Other drops discussed include Jung Hoo Lee, Tanner Bibee, and Emmet Sheehan, with the hosts noting that Sheehan's increased home run rate and hard contact make him someone else's problem. Rankings risers are led by Brandon Marsh, Jordan Walker, and Mickey Moniak, while Jack Perkins is surging as the potential new lockdown closer for the Athletics. Fallers include Rafael Devers, Luis Robert Jr., Joe Ryan, Spencer Strider, and Bubba Chandler, who is struggling significantly with his command. In the trade market, Corey Seager and Logan Webb stand out as premier buy-low targets despite their slow starts. Eury Perez remains an upside play, while Oneil Cruz and Justin Wrobleski join Glasnow as players to move now while their value is peaking. Host Grant Mona welcomes you to a special season-preview edition of The Sporting Tribune Today. With the Cactus League in the rearview and the Freeway Series wrapping up, we're looking at a Dodgers squad on the precipice of history—and the young infielder who just secured the most talked-about roster spot in Los Angeles. Segment One: The Quest for the Three-Peat Grant dives into the headlines as the Los Angeles Dodgers prepare to open the 2026 season against the Diamondbacks. The "Obvious" Greatness: With a projected lineup featuring three future Hall of Famers—Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and Mookie Betts—the Dodgers are the betting favorites to become the first team to three-peat since the 1998–2000 Yankees. The Ohtani MVP Prediction: Grant reacts to the buzz surrounding Ohtani, who enters the season fully healthy and ready to dominate both on the mound and at the plate. Is a fifth MVP trophy already a foregone conclusion? Rotation Realities: A breakdown of the opening rotation: Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the ball for Opening Day, followed by Emmet Sheehan, Tyler Glasnow, Roki Sasaki, and finally Ohtani. Grant discusses how Dave Roberts is navigating injuries to Blake Snell and Gavin Stone to keep this "super-rotation" intact. Segment Two: Final Word from the Freeway Series We head to the locker room following the Dodgers' spring-training finale against the Los Angeles Angels. The Decision at Second Base: Grant brings you audio from Dave Roberts explaining the "toughest decision of the spring"—choosing Alex Freeland over Hyeseong Kim for the Opening Day roster. Roberts discusses why he prioritized Freeland's "at-bat quality" and defensive versatility while sending Kim to Triple-A for everyday reps. The Rookie's Dream: We hear from Alex Freeland, who admits he had "the chills" when Roberts gave him the news. Despite a statistically quiet spring (.111 AVG), Freeland talks about the mental adjustments he made and what it means to fulfill a lifelong dream of making an Opening Day roster. Spring Finale Highlights: A quick look at the Dodgers' dominant 10-run inning against the Angels on Sunday, headlined by a Shohei Ohtani bases-clearing double that signaled the offense is officially "regular-season ready."
