Jerry starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the White Sox and clinching a playoff spot. We heard the sounds of Howie Rose as the Mets came back to beat the Cubs as Brandon Nimmo had a 3-run game tying HR. Francisco Alvarez homered in the eighth which ended up being the game winner. Al actually had a new song about Jaxson Dart. Mike ‘I'm a man, I'm 40' Gundy was fired by Oklahoma State.
Hour 1 We started with a great night of baseball for the locals, with the Yankees clinching a playoff spot and the Mets coming back to beat the Cubs. It felt like a special night for the Mets. And where is Keith Hernandez? Is he sick? Jaxson Dart is starting for the Giants this weekend at home against the Chargers. Even though Russell Wilson had a great game against Dallas, he threw terrible interceptions last week. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the White Sox and clinching a playoff spot. In the final segment of the hour, WFAN producer Brian Rascona told Gio that Ken Griffey Jr was walking around the Ryder Cup and nobody seemed to notice him. Hour 2 Jaxson Dart is getting the start for the Giants this week. Nobody really talks about the pressure a quarterback faces in their first real NFL game. Boomer brings it up, but you don't hear many other people talk about it. It's different from the pre-season. Boomer likes Dart's attitude compared to some of the other rookie QBs that came to the Jets and Giants. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio wonders if the teams being bused back and forth for the Ryder Cup are listening to the show. Jerry starts with Ian Poulter criticizing American golf fans. Brandon Nimmo hit a game tying 3-run homer as the Mets beat the Cubs. Francisco Alvarez ended up hitting what ended up being the game winning HR. The Yankees beat the White Sox and clinched a playoff spot. The Guardians have overtaken the Tigers and former WFAN Adam ‘The Bull' was so excited he made a weird noise. In the final segment of the hour, a caller wonders if Daniel Jones will get a big contract in Indianapolis (he will hang up and listen). Hour 3 We started the hour with the Jets as they play in Miami on Monday night. One of these teams is going to be 0-4. There is pressure on Mike McDaniel and Tua. In 2 of the 3 games, the Jets were very competitive. A caller wonders why the Giants even brought Russell Wilson in if they had already signed Jameis Winston. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Howie Rose and the sounds of the Mets beating the Cubs to get back in charge of their own destiny. Brandon Nimmo hit a game tying HR and Francisco Alvarez hit the eventual game winning HR. Jerry compares ‘douche bag says what' from the 1990s to ‘Boomer will cream pie me' from this morning. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Gary Cohen's comments last night about a Cubs player missing a game to attend Charlie Kirk's memorial service. We continued arguing about the phrase, ‘control your own destiny'. Hour 4 Nicole Rae from Skratch Golf is in the studio to talk about the Ryder Cup. They hosted us for our trip to Pebble Beach as well. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first Gio gives us alcohol prices for drinks at the Ryder Cup. Jerry starts with the sounds of the Yankees beating the White Sox as Caballero had a walk off single. We heard Howie Rose on the call as Francisco Alvarez homered making it 9-7 Mets. Micah Parsons was asked how it will feel when he sacks Dak this weekend. The Moment of The Day: Al has a new song, reminding Gio of marriage. In the final segment of the show, WFAN producer Brian Rascona checks in from the Ryder Cup.
Last night, the New York Mets erased a five-run deficit and stunned the Cubs 9–7 in Chicago — with Brandon Nimmo's three-run homer and Francisco Alvarez's game-winning two-run blast in the the 8th. Edwin Díaz locked it down with a two-inning save. Meanwhile, the Reds lost, the D-backs rallied past the Dodgers, and the NL Wild Card race tightened even more. Alvarez speaks with the media alongside translator Alan Suriel, after his two-run blast gave the Mets the lead in the 8th inning.
The Jets and Mets were losing at almost the exact same time yesterday. As the Bucs were coming back to win their game after the Jets blocked and returned a FG attempt, Francisco Alvarez was getting robbed of a HR. The Jets fell to 0-3 at the same time the Mets were falling out of the playoffs. Right now both of their Octobers mean nothing. That could change, but it's not looking great. Boomer said the major difference between them is the Jets are in a rebuild and the Mets spent a ton of money on their roster. Gio said the Mets do not deserve to make the playoffs. They are ‘consistently inconsistent'. Even if they back into the playoffs and lose, that's a bad scene. Aaron Glenn said after the game this isn't the same old Jets, but it is. C-Lo returned for an update and started with the sounds of Patrick Mahomes fumbling and then going and getting the ball back himself from a Giants' defender. Russell Wilson had trouble throwing deep against the Chiefs defense. Daboll kept getting questions after the game about a QB change. We heard the sounds of the Jets blocking a Bucs FG attempt that was returned for a TD and had the Jets believing they would win the game. Aaron Glenn was happy to see how the Jets played and said it's ‘not an instant coffee team' yet again. The Yankees beat the Orioles in extra innings as Ben Rice hit a grand slam. The Mets lost to the Nationals, whose center fielder made 2 great plays. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said the next QB to start has to be Jaxson Dart, not Jameis Winston. He's the last shot Daboll has to stick around. Boomer thinks the Falcons had to have the worst day, but the Rams loss had to be crushing. Once again there were issues with the tush-push even though the NFL told officials to officiate it properly.

The Mets manager talks with Keith Raad ahead of game two against the San Diego Padres. Mendoza discusses the team's strong performance from Monday, Francisco Alvarez health and going into tonight's game with a rested bullpen.
Carlos Mendoza met with the media following the Mets 8-3 victory over the Padres and Carlos discussed Francisco Alvarez's health after being hit by a pitch, the mindset of the team entering tonight's game following the win on Sunday, and the piggybacking effort by Clay Holmes and Sean Manaea.
Hour 1 Nolan McLean pitched well last night but the Mets offense has been horrible and couldn't score a single run. They are not winning the division now, we can only hope that they hang on and get into the Wild Card. JJ McCarthy and the Vikings came back in the fourth quarter to beat the Bears even though he played terribly for three quarters. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Mets losing 1-0. Gary, Keith and Ron talked about the Phillies always having ball-girls instead of ball-boys. We heard the sounds of the Vikings coming back to beat the Bears in Chicago. We also heard from McCarthy and Kevin O'Connell after the game. Brian Daboll confirmed Russell Wilson will start vs Dallas. Jerry had a quick preview of Jets/Bills for this weekend. In the final segment of the hour, Rex Ryan went after Mike McDaniel for being a ‘nerd boy'. Hour 2 The Giants are not allowing Jaxson Dart to talk to the media which violates the NFL media policy. What are they worried about? If they don't want him talking or playing then make him the third quarterback. Larry from Indiana checks in as he's thrilled to have Daniel Jones on his team. A caller has had it with Mike Kafka and the Giants offensive scheme or lack thereof. We went over the spread for Giants/Cowboys and Bills/Jets. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Vikings coming back and beating the Bears in Chicago. We heard Brian Daboll talk about his confidence in Wilson at QB. We heard Rex Ryan call Mike McDaniel ‘nerd boy'. The Mets lost 1-0 in Philadelphia and Alvarez had a horrendous at bat to end the game. We heard a clip of Carmelo Anthony and his son talking about the different generations. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said he had no bets on the NFL games this past weekend and it wasn't so interesting to him. He can't just sit there and watch it without some action on the games. Gio said he has a hard time focusing on almost everything now. Hour 3 We started the hour talking about a guy on social media who cleans up overgrown lawns for free. We also talked about the Vikings comeback win over the Bears last night as JJ McCarthy had a strong fourth quarter after doing nothing the first three. A caller said McCarthy reminds him of a young Tom Seaver (that's a joke callback on Boomer). Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Vikings win as we heard Kevin Harlan on the call. The fan that shoved Lamar Jackson and DeAndre Hopkins went on the local news with a neck brace on to apologize (it was actually a comedian pretending to be the fan and he fooled the local news). Mike McDaniel was asked about good things that happened for the Dolphins and it did not go well. In the final segment of the hour, Gio's bucket list golf courses and what kind of nasty crowd are we getting at the Ryder Cup at Bethpage. Hour 4 Today is Dick LeBeau's birthday and he got a birthday shoutout in Boomer's sports minute. Then we spent way too much time talking about him for some reason. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the final strikeout of Francisco Alvarez as the Mets lose to the Phillies 1-0. Mets are now 8 games out of a division they were up 7 games at one point. We almost had 2 no-hitters last night. Right now, there have been none this season. We heard the sounds of the Vikings coming back and beating the Bears last night. Bill Belichick said he's not welcome at the Patriots facility, but Mike Vrabel said he is welcome. The Moment of The Day: Boomer's a big edging guy. In the final segment of the show, Gio was thinking about ranch and how it's his favorite condiment. Boomer argues it's not a condiment. Gio said anything you can put a french fry in is a condiment.

The Mets youth injection is in full swing as the season comes to a close and the one man that gets a front row seat to every pitch is Francisco Alvarez who met with Pat McCarthy to discuss the new arms along with his own return to play after an injury filled season.

Hour 1 Jerry and Willie Colon, filling in for Boomer and Gio, discuss the Micah Parsons trade. Jerry, having speculated about a trade yesterday, defends the move despite Parsons going to the Packers, a conference rival. Willie questions the return. C-Lo's update also covers the trade, noting Jerry Jones mispronounced "Micah." Other sports news includes the Mets' loss, Kyle Schwarber's four homers, Jonah Tong's upcoming MLB debut, Francisco Alvarez's injury, the Yankees' win, Aaron Boone's hopes for Anthony Volpe, Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s goals, and Rutgers' season-opening win. A Cowboys fan expresses relief about Parsons' departure, with Jerry reiterating Parsons' lack of impact in big games. Hour 2 The hour began with a discussion on Micah Parsons and Jerry Jones's comments, which Jerry Recco and Willie believed given the lack of refutation. They speculated something recent must have happened. The conversation then shifted to the Mets' disappointing loss to the Marlins, a buzzkill after sweeping the Phillies. Both were hopeful for a bounce-back win with Jonah Tong's debut. C-Lo's update included more from Jerry Jones's lengthy press conference. Michael Irvin, initially adamant Parsons wouldn't be traded, later expressed shock. The Mets' three errors and five unearned runs contributed to their loss, while the Yankees dominated the White Sox. A caller discussed the tax implications of Parsons's potential new contract. The segment concluded with Jerry asking Willie about his day and yoga class, and a lighthearted discussion about which athletes and WFAN employees would make the best politicians. Hour 3 Jerry and Willie discuss the NFL, with Willie predicting the Jets can be second-best in the AFC East, the Steelers will win the AFC North, and Daniel Jones will start for the Colts all season. He sees the Giants as a dark horse. C-Lo provides an update, including Jerry Jones on the Micah Parsons trade and Andrew Thomas on his injury. Willie comments on players avoiding media. The Mets lost to the Marlins. Jerry asks Willie about Raising Cane's and to rank fast-food chicken chains. Hour 4 Former Giants offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz discusses Micah Parsons, team expectations, and college football. C-Lo provides updates on Yankees and Mets games, and the Volpe/Chisholm Jr. situation. Willie and C-Lo debate hitting four home runs vs. a perfect game. Jonah Tong debuts. Jerry Jones is excited about the Micah Parsons trade. Moment of The Day: Willie hot-boxed a parking attendant. The segment ends with Jerry and Willie discussing the Giants and Jets' reactions to the Parsons trade.
Jerry and Willie Colon fill in for Boomer and Gio. Jerry is open to a Micah Parsons trade, which Willie initially questioned due to the return, but Jerry defended, only regretting the Packers trade. C-Lo discusses the trade, noting Jerry Jones mispronounced Parsons' name. Mets lost to Marlins, Schwarber hit four homers, and Jonah Tong will debut. Francisco Alvarez has a broken pinky. Yankees beat White Sox 10-4. Aaron Boone hopes Anthony Volpe improves, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. shared his goals. Rutgers beat Ohio. A Cowboys fan is glad Parsons is gone, as Jerry reiterates Parsons' lack of impact in big games.

Kyle Schwarber hit four home runs against the Braves, Jonah Tong will make his MLB debut tonight. Francisco Alvarez has a broken pinky. The Yankees continued to hit a bunch of home runs and beat the White Sox 10-4. Aaron Boone hopes Anthony Volpe is turning things around while Jazz Chisholm Jr. shared his expectations and goals for the rest of this season. Rutgers beat Ohio in the season opener.
Shaun and Tommy's instant reaction to the Francisco Alvarez injury news.
Hour 1 Jerry and Willie Colon fill in for Boomer and Gio. Jerry praises Nolan McLean's impressive 8-inning shutout against the Phillies, leading to a Mets sweep. The Mets are clicking, and Jerry believes they can go on a run. Juan Soto is hitting with runners in scoring position. C-Lo's update highlights McLean's "shoved" performance and the Mets' success with RISP. Francisco Alvarez was hit by a pitch again. The Yankees hit six homers in their 11-2 win over the Nationals; Anthony Volpe was hitless. The Patriots claimed Tommy DeVito. Jerry and Sal's event clips are discussed. The hour ends with talk of a heated US Open match and the hosts' athletic endeavors. Hour 2 The hour begins with a discussion about the Yankees' blowout win, specifically Anthony Volpe being booed despite the team scoring nine runs. Jerry believes fans went too far, while Willie disagrees. They also disliked Giancarlo Stanton not being in the lineup. C-Lo provides an update, mentioning Evan Roberts' admiration for Nolan McLean and playing a Philadelphia radio host's rant resembling Jerry's classic rants. Cody Bellinger hit one of the Yankees' 6 home runs in their 11-2 thrashing of the Nationals. C-Lo shares clips of Taylor Townsend clarifying her showdown with Jelena Ostapenko. Tom Brady can attend production meetings but not practices, which Jerry thinks won't affect his job, though Willie understands why some broadcasters like watching practice. Jordon Hudson and Bill Belichick want to trademark "gold digger." The hour concludes with Jerry recounting his night at a Lady Gaga concert, noting the presence of many gay men, and Willie's past experience in an unwelcome establishment. Jerry then asks Brian Rascona about his Ryder Cup volunteer assignment. Hour 3 The hour began with a Yankees discussion, noting only five MLB hitters bat over .300, leading to a debate on modern hitting approaches. C-Lo's update highlighted Boomer's X activity, the Mets' strong performance (especially Mark Vientos), and the Phillies' TV postgame show's praise for Nolan McLean. Howie Rose's issue at a Mets game reminded C-Lo of a Mad Dog rant. The Yankees crushed the Nationals 11-2. Dawn Staley discussed her Knicks HC interview. The final segment covered Andrew Thomas's return to Giants practice (key to their season) and Micah Parsons, with Willie expecting him to stay a Cowboy, prompting Jerry to ponder the perception of edge rushers' success against offensive linemen. Hour 4 The final hour discusses the Mets' sweep of the Phillies, highlighting their 38 hits and Nolan McLean's dominance, and the team's changed dynamic. Jerry notes the 2025 Mets' inconsistency. The Yankees scored 11 runs despite Giancarlo Stanton's absence. Compass Media Networks' Chad Brown previews the college football and NFL seasons, discussing Bill Belichick at UNC and Aaron Rodgers in Pittsburgh. Brown doubts Russell Wilson's future as an NFL QB for the Giants. C-Lo provides his final update, covering McLean's night and new clips from Hunter Brody. The Yankees swept the Nationals. The Moment of The Day features Jerry and Willie's unexpected nights at gay bars.
C-Lo begins with Nolan McLean completing 8 shutout innings last night. He “shoved”, a term Jerry has never heard. The Mets had a great series with runners in scoring position. Francisco Alvarez got hit in the hand by a pitch again. The Yankees hit six home runs in their 11-2 win over the Nationals. Anthony Volpe was the only starter to not record a hit.

Jerry and Willie Colon fill in for Boomer and Gio, and spirits are high. The Mets rebounded despite another poor Kodai Senga start, who's now the "human rain delay." They scored many two-out runs, with Mark Vientos red hot. Willie and the guys agree Sean Manaea needs to step up tonight. The game was delayed by Phillies' complaints about parabolic mics, but the Mets responded well. The Yankees won their "lose-lose" series. Andrew Bogusch's update covered the Yankees' win, Jazz Chisholm's 25th homer, Luis Torrens' 5 RBIs, and Francisco Alvarez's potential rehab assignment. Kodai Senga struggled again. Micah Parsons remains a hold-in after Terry McLaurin and Trey Hendrickson's new contracts, but Dak Prescott is unfazed, and Jerry Recco believes Jerry Jones will close a deal. In the final segment, Jerry and Willie discuss Micah Parsons with a Cowboys fan, and Jerry updates his bat situation, confident in the "jacked" exterminator.
Hour 1 Jerry and Willie Colon fill in for Boomer and Gio. The Mets bounced back, despite another poor Kodai Senga start (the new human rain delay), scoring many runs with two outs. Mark Vientos is red hot, and Willie says it's time for the Mets to stack wins; Sean Manaea needs to step up tonight. The game was delayed for 10 minutes because the Phillies complained about parabolic mics. Jerry was impressed with the Mets' response. The Yankees did what they needed to do in a lose-lose series. Andrew Bogusch's first update covers the Yankees' win, Jazz Chisholm's 25th homer, Luis Torrens' 5 RBIs, and Francisco Alvarez's potential rehab assignment. Kodai Senga struggled again. With McLaurin and Hendrickson signed, Micah Parsons is the lone hold-in; Dak Prescott is unbothered, and Jerry Recco believes Jerry Jones will get a deal done. Jerry and Willie discuss paying Parsons with a Cowboys fan and Jerry updates his bat situation (the exterminator was jacked). Hour 2 Jerry and Willie discussed Aaron Rodgers' interview, agreeing he tried with the Jets and expect him to excel in Pittsburgh. Terry McLaurin and Trey Hendrickson secured new contracts. The guys believe the Giants, with Russell Wilson, will surprise people and beat the Commanders. Bogusch provided an update, and Jerry mentioned Willie and Eddie Scozzare considering yoga. The Mets won big, and Cam Schlittler had a good start for the Yankees. Willson Contreras had a dugout meltdown. The hour concluded with a yoga call and a discussion about The Biggest Loser documentary. Hour 3 Willie believes Eddie and Fliegs have untapped athletic potential, but they and Jerry disagree. Jerry wonders what activities people spend a lot on but never master, like golf, with top X responses including sex, marriage, gambling, and skiing. Willie was a bad bowler early in his NFL career. The guys discuss the Jets and Giants' offensive and defensive lines. Bogusch updates on Tommy DeVito being waived by the Giants (Willie and Jerry expect him to be picked up) and plays Rodgers' message to Jets fans. The Yankees and Mets both crushed their opponents. Jerry is concerned about the bullpen tonight if Sean Manaea doesn't pitch deep. LIU is getting paid to play Florida, which helps financially, but Jerry and Willie worry about injuries. Finally, Jerry looks at examples of athletes with one standout season and surprising attendance numbers. Jerry thinks Raleigh, not Aaron Judge, should be MVP. Hour 4 The final hour discusses the Mets' win, Willie's concerns about Mendoza's team, and the Jets possibly claiming Tommy DeVito. Jerry and Willie debate why some college players fail in the NFL and agree not to rush Jaxson Dart. Bogusch's update covers DeVito's cut, the Jets' receiver search, and Yankees/Mets blowout wins. The show also questions Ohio State banning Dave Portnoy, features Willie the Yogi, and concludes with a dessert debate: key lime pie vs. chocolate, and cone vs. cup.

Mendoza emphasized Mullins' speed, defensive instincts, and baseball IQ, noting that his value extends beyond the box score. Mendoza confirmed Edwin Díaz remains the closer but Helsley will pitch in high-leverage spots. He also outlined bullpen flexibility, with Garcia and Garrett available for multi-inning work. Injury updates included Francisco Alvarez being cleared to return and Soto ready to play. Taylor Rogers reflected on leaving San Francisco after 13 years and adjusting to his first midseason trade, stressing that he aims to fit into a strong bullpen without overcomplicating his role.
