The Pirates dropped their second straight game in Atlanta, falling 6-3 to the Braves as Braxton Ashcraft was hit harder than we've seen in a while. Neither side wants to come out and say what Jared Jones' role with the Pirates will be. Colin thinks Jones will be a starter, but be on a pitch count. Carmen Mlodzinski is the most likely to go to the bullpen. Colin thinks Jones will be activated right around May 26 when Jones is able to come on the injured list. Joey Bart has a foot infection and is too early to tell what the timeline will be. Endy Rodriguez could play for a bit.

Endy Rodriguez is 2-2 with a double and a two-run single. Tyler Kennedy told us that Evgeni Malkin wants to play two years, but Malkin has said one year. Jeff Hathhorn thinks there is a desire on both sides for one season. Alan Saunders is reporting the Steelers won't play on Christmas Eve or Day.
