Tonight I realized that although I had sold myself on getting the interview with Eric Teplitz out I need to push it back. I decided to give myself space, instead of forcing output or constraining one of my most precious resources - time.I thought this was a fantastic time to go deeper into this topic. How do we create space for ourselves, and how does this help our thoughts grow? For me having the definition that space is a place with zero expectations and I can just be is helpful. I shared some personal examples and other thoughts I hope will help you in this endeavor. Currently I am in between chapters of my life, and I do need to give myself tons of grace and patience. I am learning a lot more how to do that. Also in this episode:Why Hot Tub Tuesdays for my roommates and I at BYUI were so helpfulMy epic show-out performance playing pickup basketball todayThe consequences for not operating in calmness and in a good spaceI really was planning to get the episode with Eric out, but it'll have to wait until Thursday. Eric Teplitz asks which super power you would choose Episode 2266: Which Super Power Would You Choose by Eric Teplitz on How To Be More Content in Everyday Life Eric Teplitz has had a lifelong fascination with human motivation, creativity, personal development, and living an inspired, rewarding, and positively impactful life. To this effect, he routinely undertakes challenging endeavors that intrigue him and impel him to grow. He has recorded an album of original songs and started his own record label to put it out into the world; acted onstage in community theater productions; backpacked over 500 miles of the Appalachian Trail; completed numerous half marathons, marathons, century rides, and triathlons (including an Ironman triathlon, after three attempts); volunteered hundreds of hours in a hospital playing music for patients (and their families/visitors/hospital staff); overcome a long-standing aversion to needles to become a regular blood donor (for nearly ten years and counting); and is the author of over 100 posts on Eric's Inspired Living Blog. He is passionate about helping others open themselves up to a more expansive sense of what is possible; overcome resistance to following their interests, passions, curiosities, and dreams; and achieve a greater sense of meaning, purpose, and life satisfaction.
